Had a great time watching a Women’s Euros match here

Highly recommend this lesbian bar in the De Pijp neighborhood. Our stay in Amsterdam coincided with some games for the Women's Euros. We enjoyed watching the games live in the bar. Very friendly staff, accessible menus if you are unsure what to get, and a queer friendly atmosphere.

Very chill, casual place to hang - in went to watch women's football and the crowd wasn't overwhelming but was definitely into the game. The service is great and the drinks are good also. I didn't have anything to eat but the frites/fries I saw someone else had looked delicious! The patrons are relatively friendly and it seems to have 50% primarily Dutch speaking/50% primarily English speaking patrons. It's a casual place to hang but if you're sapphic, it's a nice place to meet people and chat! I'll be going back on my next trip to Amsterdam!

My boyfriend and I felt very welcome here! The bartender was so nice and the cocktails tasted very good. It is not very loud in there and it is just a very cute and wholesome bar. They also have one gender neutral toilet which is awesome for trans folks. 🏳️‍⚧️🌈

Great bar with good prices for cocktails especially for Amsterdam. Will say that the crowd is not university students age though. But really fun vibe

My girlfriend and I came here yesterday for the first time and we loved the chill and welcoming vibe. Marianne, the owner, was very kind and thoughtful (she noticed I had removed the mint garnish from my drink and brought my next drink with a different garnish). We’ll definitely be back!

Bar Buka is an absolute gem in Amsterdam! My wife and I are visiting from Florida, and this lesbian bar made us feel so welcomed and at home from the moment we walked in. Marian was incredible—friendly, attentive, and genuinely awesome. The drinks were fantastic, crafted to perfection, and the atmosphere was vibrant yet cozy, making it the perfect spot for a fun night out. Whether you're a tourist like us or a local, Bar Buka is a must-visit. It's a safe, inclusive space with great energy and warm hospitality. We can't wait to return the next time we're in Amsterdam!

Travelled 50km with my girlfriend on a saturday night only to find 70% of the bar occupied by straight white men screaming their throat out in karaoke. As lesbians this is not what we want to find when we are searching for a public atmosphere we can feel safe and relaxed in. Completely fair to position yourself as a place open to everyone and anyone, however, in that case the current externally facing image will be a little missleading.

My girlfriend and I went to this bar yesterday. We really enjoyed the bar, the atmosphere and the sympathetic barkeeper! 😊 We felt safe and had fun! The peachtree spritz is absolutely amazing 🙏🏻 We're looking forward to coming back one day! 😊

Very chill and relaxed atmosphere. You can have a drink, and play games here with your date. The tomboy and femme cocktails were good, and we also enjoyed the cheesesticks ! We had a fun time there and will come back next time we visit Amsterdam.

(Let's try this again I have no idea where my first review went) I was in Amsterdam 4 days and visited Bar Buka 2/4 nights. Both nights they were showing Euros football matches on the back wall, which added to the already great atmosphere. The bartender was attentive and kind. I tried 3 of their gin and tonics: Flor de Sevilla, Royale Princess, and Pink Pleasure. All were delightful but my favourite was the Pink Pleasure. I also tried their chicken bites and both fries (regular and parmesan/truffle) and they were super yummy! Highly recommend for any WLW looking for a bar with great atmosphere and a sense of community.

I was the lone straight older guy with white hair a few days ago. I was so welcomed!!! I missed the redheaded bartender name but they were just lovely and vibing!

Bright bar with light shows and good modern music. We play board games with friends. The toilets need to be reviewed in terms of paper. Cocktail at a good price and well measured.

Bar Buka is a nice girls' bar with regular fun activities 👌💖 It is a bar with tasty snacks, but you can also have food delivered to eat there. Good cocktails, beer and whiskey varieties

Amazing place in Amsterdam where girls meet! Great drinks, delicious snacks, kind staff, fun events, highly recommend.

Relaxed, fun and cosy, small lesbian bar with friendly staff and a wide range of (female) clientele. Simple but nice cocktails, with some presecco and beers available as well. Great bar food includes truffle chips. They do have a few outside tables later on in the evening. The bar hosts a few casual events like kareoke, and occasionally screens womens' sports matches or EuroVision. Note - the bar is on a market street, and so only opens late afternoon/ in the evening.

This bar was totally amazing. It was an incredible vibe and the bartender paid such close attention to the drinks even though we were largely drinking nonalcoholic drinks since my partner is pregnant. They also had a selection of boardgames and card games for patrons to use.

Came here with my girlfriend on a Friday night while visiting Amsterdam and felt so welcome, bartenders were so friendly and helpful, we loved it!

Staff is always friendly and mixed drinks are strong. I wish it were a bit cozier, but everyone is always lovely when i go in. A staple lesbian bar!

Hands down this is the best lesbian bar in the city. I enjoyed two amazing nights at the bar, including a Friday night. The bar service is amazing, the drinks original cocktails and Dutch beer, and the atmosphere next level. The DJ had everyone jumping and dancing, and the whole vibe was out there. 110% recommend a night out here.
