The place to go in Amsterdam if you're looking for Metal, good people and drinks. They also have darts you can play, but I must warn: its addictive!

Came here by recommendation from another bartender at a different rock bar. She definitely pointed us in the right direction. Although very crowded, everyone was cool and what I normally expect from the metal crowds 🖤 not sure who the band was but they were great. I'm coming back to Amsterdam for sure , and this place is definitely on my list to come back to

The place is just great. The people and staff are awesome. It's our little part of Amsterdam that everyone feels welcome and the music makes it better.

What fun we had!! So nice and relaxed. Our first time here and we happened upon the celebration of 30 years! Great bands played. They have live music on weekends. 🤘🎸. Great atmosphere, people are all so friendly. Can’t wait to come back.

A fantastic rock bar in the city - staff and clients all really friendly. We came back for the third or fourth time. The owner is a great guy and the beer selection is excellent. It has a great atmosphere and it isn't full of UK stag do's which is a big plus. Will definitely be here again and we wish we had a similar bar in Brighton!

Superb bar with some of the friendliest staff in the city. Great place to listen to some fantastic tunes aswell. A real must visit.

Grabbed a drink here as I needed to hear some heavy music before heading to an experimental festival. Friendly staff and enjoyable atmosphere. Best of all is the music. They had Mastodon on the system and that was exactly what I needed!

Hey. I was really excited to see this metal/rock bar in Amsterdam. Unfortunately, it was a disaster. We have waited for bartender to come to our table about 30 minutes, when he just give us snacks without even hello, i have decided to go and order by the bar (he could tell us..). The story is not finished yet. We have ordered, drank and we were waiting with empty glasses if he asked if we wanted something else. Nothing. Well, I would expect this behaviour maybe if the pub was full. But. Out of 3 tables, there were one more of 4 people, we (2) and a guy at the bar. I dont like to leave a bad review, but as the cherry on the top, I have paid 59,5€ for (cola, apple juice, and jack fire)*2. Idk, but even for Amsterdam, it seems to be a bit expensive - 30 euros for 2 softs and one shot. I will try one more time. I hope I will be less disappointed. +i could play my song on spotify

Favourite bar in Amsterdam. Always good music playing (they jammed Dillinger Escape Plan, which I’ve never heard out) and drinks were well priced and the staff are super friendly!

One of the most cool places if you love Metal in Amsterdam! A small underground bar near the city centre. There is live shows with a built in stage (saw two amazing Dutch bands), also works as a bar open every day! incredible staff welcoming and warm to everyone, good beer and decore! Definitely going back!

Around eleven o'clock black metal is still "too intense", at closing time anything is possible. Great DJ. Poor choice of beer but sold with a smile. Salmari is fine at the right temperature, although that is of course a matter of taste. It's not necessary for me. Historic exit: I played here about ten times with my then band and it seems as if the stage has become even smaller and they have placed a plexiglass monstrosity around the drum kit to save on decibels. Shame. Does everyone just tolerate his/her/their tinnitus and those nimby upstairs neighbors? It's all Femke Halsema's fault.

My favorite pub in all of Amsterdam. Amazing service in a cozy atmosphere. Really one of the best reasons to visit Holland is this gem. Live music on special nights, good rock and metal selections for songs. Cool look to the place and some of the nicest staff. The owners are really down to earth people. Really made us feel welcome in Holland and also like we were welcome at their pub. Definitely go to the Cave!

Rock bars are sadly in decline but The Cave is still keeping it alive! A great place that has busy and had friendly service. We watched live music there as well (note there may be a charge to enter on such nights). A great music selection for spanning from classic heavy metal to nu metal. Will definitely go back the next time I'm in amsterdam!

I'm sure this place will rock your socks off once normality ensues. Looking This up beforehand past pictures show some awesome live bands. Anyway for the present, it sticks out like a sore thumb..in a good way. On this row you will find tourists and shifty characters trying the local "coffeeshops" with pure ear cringing "music". As soon as the shutter popped up we dived into its depths ..instant relief washed over us. Great music and good vibes ensued. The bar itself was segmented with clear plastic to abide to the corona virus precautions. The bar was well stocked with good enough variety. To the right was a little den filled with some snazzy Numark equipment with a cheeky note advertising "Requests for €1" After a few exchanges of sentences with the barman he asked what music we liked. Before we knew it some tracks we suggested were played. Overall this was a good place to hang I'm sure I would have rated it 5 star with it full in swing.

They have happy hour offers, and live music, although we couldn't enjoy the live music I think the artist/s didn't show up as there was something scheduled when we visited and no one played. We visited The Cave for the two nights we spent in Amsterdam, this place is the real rock/metal bar where you can hang out and meet people. The service was excellent and the prices very fair, the owner is always there playing the best music. The will always be on my list when in Amsterdam.
