We went to Beers & Barrels with Social Deal. We arrived before the restaurant got busy and were seated at a table with a tap. We were served by a small man with very little hair on his head. He called himself the manager. This gentleman had taken a lot of water from our tap and said that this was not included in the bill, but in the end, we had to pay 75 euros for three beers. After going back to the (manager) twice, we did not get our money back. Later, we sent an email, but they did not respond politely to that either. They kept telling the same story, even though they knew themselves that it was not true. Do not go to this place.

We were here for a team outing from the ⚽️ The tables with a self-service tap are very valuable then😄 We had the starter menu followed by the main course; the general reactions were very positive👍, and the service by the friendly staff We had a fantastic evening!!!!!

Nothing special, the location is the best feature. The rest is average, maybe not even average. You have much better options in Utrecht.

We had dinner here; we didn't arrive until 8:30, so it wasn't busy. I like being able to eat in peace, and the weather outside was nice and reasonably quiet. The main course arrived quite quickly, but ordering dessert took quite a while. The staff were standing around chatting pleasantly with each other—which is necessary for some reason—but because of that, I almost walked inside to skip dessert and pay. But... the dessert was tasty in the end. If I were to choose this chain in Utrecht again, I would be more likely to go for the other one in the city center. All in all, we had a good meal.

Very nice location, great terrace, and lots of tasty things on the menu. Worth the stress of choosing! Also treats for two on the menu, go for it!

Had a delicious meal, nice ambiance, fast service

Went for a big birthday dinner with my son. He got the wrong dish delivered. So I sent mine back as well because we wanted to eat together for this occasion. When his correct dish came out, my old one came out again, but instead of keeping it warm, it had just been put on the side while they fixed my son's dinner and was pretty much completely cold. Not very impressive for a 30 euro main course. Very disappointing!

It was the worst meal I've ever had. They should have at least asked if I wanted soft bread or chips, the chicken taco was truly awful. We also ordered meat, half of it was fat. There was a lack of hygiene, and forcing us to sit inside when there were empty seats outside was rude.

We were here recently with our rugby club (RUS) and had a wonderful time. Our contact person (Jamie) was fantastic in helping us arrange the venue, terrace, and dinner. Additionally, the hospitality staff did their absolute best, and if anything was missing, they sprang into action immediately. They are all top-notch people who gave us a perfect end-of-year dinner! Thank you very much!

Great burgers, and as for the service, you really have to be lucky. The Greek waitress is very good, but the blonde lady from yesterday couldn't manage a smile and never served the beer I ordered.

It was fine, but nothing special. I had the loaded burger. The annoying thing was mainly that it wasn't indicated that the Guinness came from a can and not on tap, and that it didn't come with a real glass, but a half-liter ‘beer pull’. That really takes away from the charm of the drink. The burger was tasty and a good portion. It's a shame I had to speak English with the staff; you could also tell that the Dutch-speaking employee was much more pleasant to deal with.

This used to be a good place. Visited again after years and it's truly bizarre how bad it has become. It was 80% empty on a beautiful Sunday evening, and then we got an extremely tough brisket and an unimaginative burger. And that for really steep prices. I understood that it has been taken over by PE and costs are being severely cut. I won't be coming back here.

It's a nice place to sit and the food is good (though pricey, but worth it in itself). There are hardly any vegetarian options and they apparently can't manage large groups. Unfortunately, I don't think I have ever seen so much chaos, thoughtlessness, and bad service as here. The staff did try, though. What a shame! I went home without eating.

Delicious food, friendly and helpful staff, nice atmosphere

We stopped by for an afternoon beer and were pleasantly surprised by the variety on offer, with good service.

We had a truly disastrous meal with 15 people. We understand that serving everything at once can be difficult with a large group, but this was truly bizarre. Our main course was already brought out while the starter was still on the table. In the end, we had to move plates to another table ourselves to make room. The ribeye was even served cold. And it wasn't even as if the place was incredibly busy. This really topped everything and was completely ridiculous.

Very friendly service, the food is good, and the atmosphere is pleasant.

Too bad about that boisterous group. As a host / restaurant, you are perfectly entitled to take action against them. They thought they were very funny. They were the only ones, after all. Great burger. Good fries.

I had reserved a table for 6 people one week in advance, but when we arrived, they gave us a table for only 4 people, which was very uncomfortable. Even after we asked, they refused to move us to a larger table, despite the fact that most of the other tables were empty. It was disappointing and made the whole experience unpleasant.

We had reserved a table for 4 people; upon entering, we were taken to a 3-person table where a wobbly 4th bar stool had to be added. It wasn't cold, as we were sitting right in the middle of the hustle and heat of the kitchen. We asked for another table, but that wasn't possible, even though we saw that other people were able to switch tables. We were told that they were overbooked and that we could wait half an hour for people who didn't show up. There were no apologies or drinks involved; the unfriendly employee, who turned out to be the manager, walked away again without saying a word. I have had several positive experiences, but as far as I'm concerned, this location can be closed again.

Yesterday, 18-04-2026, we made a reservation for 4 people at Beers&Barrel Veilinghaven. Upon arrival, we were greeted and shown to our table. This was a small bar table next to the kitchen, placed against the wall. With four men, this table was really too small, also because you miss out on a section due to the table being against the wall. There were no chairs at this table either, only bar stools. Not exactly comfortable if you want to enjoy a nice meal for 2.5-3 hours. Next to our table was a table with a "reserved" sign, neatly set for 4 people. The manager refused to give us another table because the place was supposedly overbooked. The table next to us was already 15 minutes late, and we still weren't allowed to move to another table. Eventually, we walked out and ate elsewhere in Utrecht city, where we did enjoy our meal. We will never visit this branch again.

What a disappointing experience. We normally go to the location on the Oude Gracht, where we are always well served. However, this was our first and last time at this location. We were seated at a much too small table with bar stools, a group of four, right next to the kitchen, even though other tables were visibly available. When we politely inquired about this with the manager, we were told that everything was full, after which he walked away without further explanation or any effort to be helpful. Hospitality was nowhere to be found here. It is a shame, because this really detracts from the experience we are used to at your other location.

What can I say... I was looking forward to a nice evening, but unfortunately, things turned out differently.... We had reserved a table for four. After we arrived well on time, a two-person table was quickly turned into a four-person table with a few stools. The table was really too small for four people, and we pointed that out. According to the manager, it was absolutely not possible to switch tables and we just had to make do. Meanwhile, we saw that several other parties were allowed to switch and that empty tables had been reserved for groups of the same size who had not arrived on time. We pointed this out as well, but without result. We watched for 20 minutes, but no one else on the staff paid any attention to us. We just left and went to eat elsewhere. This is not the hospitality and service I know and had expected. Very disappointing, but they won't be seeing us back here again.

We did not have a good experience last night. We ate here for a bachelor party and it did not affect the atmosphere well. Everyone was irritated by the end. Quite a few things went wrong or were worth noting: - We had reserved a tap table, but when we arrived something had gone wrong, meaning it was unavailable. We ended up sitting upstairs at a round table. - We had to wait a very long time for the menu. We finally signaled after 20 minutes, after which it took another 10 minutes before we received a menu. We were quite hungry after a day full of activities, so that was not pleasant. - The snack platter as a starter was disproportionate. Too many dips in proportion to the bread and tortilla chips (and I don't say that easily). To give an example: the bowl of pulled pork with avocado contained two tortilla chips. In addition, only two slices of bread, while it came with a bowl of burrata dip, butter, and aioli. And all this while they said the snack platter was for three people. We had to order extra bread because we didn't feel like spooning out the dips. - We did not receive cutlery and napkins with the cocktail platter, even though this would have been very convenient. We walked over to the wait staff ourselves to ask for this. - We were really in the mood for a lot of beer (which is why we originally ordered a tap table), but the wait staff did not come by to take orders. In the end, we had two rounds of beer over the course of 3 hours, for which we had to signal the staff ourselves again for attention. They missed out on a lot of revenue because they did not serve us properly. - They forgot to bring food for one person. So they did not check if everyone had something to eat, and we had to chase after the fact that one person hadn't received any food. As a result, she had to wait while everyone else had already started eating. - The food was incredibly salty. Most of us had the brisket. Someone didn't even finish it because it was inedible. A real waste of the meat. - The plates were not cleared after we finished, and we were not asked if we wanted dessert or coffee. In the end, we had to chase after them ourselves again. - We wanted to take leftover food home in a doggy bag and asked for it three (!) times, but it never came. Eventually, when paying at the bar, we asked again, and then someone brought the container. - We shared the feedback with the staff, but there was little to no response. We felt completely unheard and got the impression that they didn't care at all. All in all, a lot went wrong, and that is not what you want when organizing a bachelor party. You want good food and lots of beer. So, I do not recommend this place!

Had a delicious burger, nice, unpretentious service with plenty of humor, and the view is also beautiful; if you sit upstairs you look out over the little harbor. Top notch.

Food is absolutely fantastic! However it takes very long time for your order to be served. Even the ice cream dessert took 20mins. It was on a Thursday evening so it was not busy at all.

To my surprise this is really fantastic place for dining! We booked this place with friends to enjoy some drinks and easy dinner and I wasn’t expecting anything else but regular shmegular pub. Then we ordered food, we got burgers, brisket and iron stake. My friends were very happy with the burgers and brisket. I got for myself the iron stake. Meat was so tender, prepared as I asked - medium rare. I shared with my friends and they also loved it. They have also very wide selection of beers and really tasty coctails.

Had a great meal and beer here with colleagues. The staff is friendly, the food is delicious, especially the burgers. You can also reserve a tap table for those who enjoy heavy drinking.

Cannot order food at 9pm on a Thursday.. But maybe it's for the best as you can't enjoy dinner with a beer anyway with super load EDM music in the background

Such a great place! We went there during week and we sat on the second floor. The food and drinks were both amazing. We ordered smoked brisket burger and classic burger and both were so delicious. One of the best burgers I have ever eaten.

We ordered two Affligem blond beers. Apparently, we received two large glasses without asking. We only realized this when we paid. They asked us to pay €17.60 for two 40cl glasses. What a joke.

If you want to pay €120 per person for a lot of bread as a starter, a few beers and an exorbitant amount of meat that you can't finish, then you should definitely go here for dinner with your friends.

The service is extremely friendly, but I don't understand why it takes fifteen minutes for a drink order to arrive, even though it wasn't busy. Sometimes a server would take a new order even though the one we had waiting hadn't arrived yet. Chaos? Or did we seem very thirsty? Probably both. The prime rib tasted good. It probably doesn't fit the concept, but some vegetables alongside the meat and fries would have made the main course more complete. All prices are rising, of course, but it feels expensive and laborious. It's a shame, I've had some nice evenings here in the past. There weren't any vegetables then either, but it all seemed a bit more relaxed.

It's a shame that, as a bus driver, I had to eat at the bar instead of at a table. I ate at the neighboring Ixi, where this wasn't a problem.

Once you are inside you will not be helped anymore and the food is little, you leave with an empty stomach and quite expensive

We ate here yesterday with six people. The staff were very friendly, but unfortunately, the food wasn't quite up to par. The first time we got it, the chicken was still a bit raw in several places. Luckily, two more were brought back, but still. A few drinks didn't arrive, and we had to ask for them a few times. For the price you pay here, you expect a bit more.

What a terrible dump! The food is simply awful! The steak tartare is like a soggy toasted sandwich. The quality of the steak is very, very poor. The acoustics are terrible! Understaffed. I hadn't been there for six years, and now I remember why. As the owner, I'm deeply ashamed of the quality-price ratio.

The waitress was smiling and friendly. The food was delicious. But the restaurant's customer service was completely absent! When we asked for extra bread, she refused. They only offered to order additional dishes that included bread. We even offered to pay for the bread, but it was still refused. In some cultures, bread is a common addition to a meal, and if such a simple addition is refused when you're willing to pay for it, you probably won't return!

Spare ribs not so special, bad fries. Mostly bothered by large groups of men drinking a lot of beer. Really only fun if you're one of them.

The food wasn’t really to my liking. I shared one of the “for two” dishes with a colleague — the chicken spice wasn’t what I’d call pleasant, and the pork ribs, despite being cooked for at least 12 hours, turned out quite dry. Only the ribs themselves get a pass from me. The waiter didn’t speak Dutch, but he was friendly and helpful, which made a good impression. Aside from the food, we had a really nice evening together as a work group and enjoyed the atmosphere.

We had a reservation for four people. We arrived and were given a table right by the door. We ended up going to a table next to it. After waiting 20 minutes, someone finally came to ask if we'd like drinks and the menu. The bread never arrived. When we asked about it, we were told we hadn't ordered it and that it would come after the main course. Oh well, never mind. The food was then served lukewarm, and I even got the wrong burger. It happens, so they went to fix it. After finishing the rest of the meal, I still hadn't received any food. I finally told them to leave it because I'm not going to wait until everyone else is eating dessert. Unfortunately, this wasn't a good experience. The previous time, the canal-side location in Utrecht was much better. Oh yeah, and the men's restroom is filthy and broken. They stuffed every rag they could find into it to mop up the water. Other people at the bar had also left in anger because they hadn't received their food after an hour. I think they simply couldn't handle the crowd, and that's why it became a mess.

Went on a weeknight, which was fine, as it can get packed here. The appetizer platter had a bit of everything, and the sirloin steak was excellent. I skipped the veggie burger, of course.

The low and slow plate to share is just amazing

We had made a reservation for 8:30 PM for a table with beer on tap, as we thought this concept sounded appealing. Unfortunately, upon arrival, we had to wait about 10-15 minutes because our table wasn't ready yet. This can happen, of course, but it's a shame if you've made a reservation for this time. What was even more disappointing was that we were told the kegs were gone and the beer tap service (which we had specifically booked this restaurant for) was no longer available. Combined with the fact that we had to wait another 15 minutes for the menu and to order drinks, and the limited amount of food for the relatively high price (the amount of coleslaw that came with the meal fit in a sauce container they normally use for mayonnaise), I give the overall experience 3 stars. And this is purely because the staff deducted one pitcher from the bill to compensate for the lack of beer on tap.

Low & Slow platter is the way to go. Very nice food & staff. Close to Utrecht Centraal.

Just a great place to chill out

It wasn't bad, but it wasn't exceptional either. The staff was a bit curt, but otherwise it was fine. I found the food a bit salty (classic burger and fries). I simply expected higher quality considering the price and the location. It's a shame, really, because there's a lot of competition in the area, but I think this location has plenty of potential, so I'd think there's more to be gained.

Unfortunately, the Social Deal app clearly showed a reservation for 4 people, but the restaurant only said it was for 2. After calling Social Deal for a while, the issue was resolved. The lady finally came back to us with the bill, which had already been paid through Social Deal. It's a real shame.

The service and speed were excellent, as was the food itself. What I didn't understand, however, was that there were only two tables inside and only high bar tables, or that you had to sit outside. That wasn't ideal, but oh well. What I especially struggled with was the price. I find it absolutely ridiculous. For what we got, I honestly felt ripped off. We ordered a Plate for Two. The food was fine, but certainly not spectacular for the price. One pulled pork sandwich for two people—why not just two? Moreover, there were no vegetables with it, just a small bowl of coleslaw. And the list goes on. If this dish had been €20 cheaper, I could have understood it better. But €67.50? Way too high. I know restaurants that offer better quality, larger portions, and more competitive prices than this.

They charge a huge amount per person and try to negotiate about the price and weight of food and drinks.

We recently dined here and used the tap table. The employee who helped us was foreign and had trouble understanding our order. Unfortunately, as a result, we received some cold food and a few incorrect dishes. Despite these drawbacks, we still had a pleasant evening. What was particularly disappointing, however, was that our tap produced a lot of water and foam, which significantly diminished our beer experience. Despite this, we were charged the full amount. Finally, we were struck by the high final bill, which made us feel uneasy. It's a shame that this is how revenue is generated. Forewarned is forearmed: be aware of these points if you're considering booking a tap table here.

We ordered a platter for two people, which on the one hand was far too small to really serve two people, and on the other hand the quality and taste were not worth the price, the chicken was unfortunately very dry, there was not enough sauce and the seasoning was unfortunately very weak overall.

Food was disappointing. The low and slow plate is very bad. The chicken is dry and the spare ribs are tasteless. The burger looks fine tho. But in general the prices are very high for medium to low quality of meat.

Such a great place! I was here on the weekend, it was not crowded at all, just us and a couple more tables. Drinks and food were served super fast. Can’t tell that was the best burger in my life - but it was good enough! Also you could choose the sweet potatoes instead of regular french fries. Waitress was helpful and friendly, helped us to pay separately because there were too many of us 😁

Contrary to some other reviews, we had a pleasurable experience. Apart from some confusion about the socialdeal (which was quickly resolved). The food was good, service was quick. Staf was a bit inexperienced yes, and English speaking only, but attentive. Only real complaint would be that the music was a bit too loud. Overall well recommended.

What a terribly awful restaurant! Generally, the service is often subpar these days, but this one absolutely blew my mind. My heart ached for the hospitality industry. You have to ask for everything: drinks (which take an awfully long time even after you've ordered them), the menu, cutlery, napkins, and after our meal, the young man serving us even managed to ask half the table for coffee. But the worst part was: there were 12 of us here and they gave us the group menu without any consultation. For €29.50, you get a plate of hunks of meat, truly shameful and so out of date. Moreover, the quality is so poor that I feel sick just thinking about it. One plate had lettuce, the other didn't. One plate had fries, the other didn't. We even had to ask for sauce. What a disgrace! I advise everyone to spend their money elsewhere!

The food & cocktails were really delicious & our waitress (once we had moved upstairs) was lovely! The points lost is attributed to first being offered to sit at a table downstairs that had backpacks and crates with cables on & around it. Still confused as to why this was offered to us. We politely declined & chose another. Ordering drinks was not easy, both the waiter & ourselves had to repeat ourselves a few times because we could not hear each other over the music. We then decided to move upstairs as the music was set to a lower volume there. Lastly the food took really long! 40mins for starters and almost 90mins for mains. Downstairs was not fully occupied & upstairs had only a handful of occupied tables. When we asked about the delay our lovely waitress could only offer apologies, that the food would be coming within the next 5mins and that she has flagged it with the kitchen about the long wait time. Next time if there is a delay in the kitchen, inform the staff who can manage customer expectations. It will improve the experience.

Pay attention to what you order and go for bottled beer instead of draft beer. First round ordered a Weizen and specifically asked for Erdinger. We got Brand Weizen. In the second round we ordered an Erdinger again and the waiter tried to sell us a Brand Weizen again. After paying, where we did not get a receipt and could only quickly see the order on the handheld without prices, I understand why. You guessed it Brand Weizen 11.20 euros and the Erdinger 7.20 euros per half liter. Such tricks make me not come back here anymore.

We had a lovely meal at Beers & Barrels – the food was really good and the atmosphere was cosy but not comparable to that of the old canal. However, there were also a few disappointments. I had contacted them in advance via email about my daughter’s gluten allergy. She was really looking forward to finally trying a gluten-free burger. The email confirmed that this was possible, but unfortunately this turned out not to be the case upon arrival. She was therefore quite disappointed. In addition, we had to wait a very long time for the desserts. It took so long that we eventually cancelled them and left without dessert. Too bad, because the start of the evening was promising. Hopefully, there will be better communication and faster service in the future.

Service was terrible, took very long to get the drinks and food. Everything came in halves. Not coming here again.

Such a surprise of a place! The food we ordered was amazing, plus the wine and beer! Atmosphere, the view supeeer leuuk! 5 stars to Dimitra, the lovely waitress. We'll definitely come back! :)))

Booked with a Social Deal. Unfriendly service, the food was no more than mediocre and little choice. We were not shown a menu, so we had to look at the deal to see what the choice was. None of the service spoke Dutch. The spareribs (with a surcharge of € 6, -!) were nothing special. We did not get the right beers. And before 21:00 the question if we wanted to order something, because the last round. While they are open until 23:00. We had that last beer elsewhere. . Oh yes, there were four of us and 2 of us did not get well last night/tonight. How much things have deteriorated there since my last visit. I would say... spend your money somewhere else, because there was plenty of choice in Utrecht.

Great stop, good food, service and and decent atmosphere. Parking was easy. Not busy when we went

I am tired of this. Seriously. I sat outside and nothing happened for so long. Must have been solid 15 minutes. A young lady came outside eventually to take the payment of a guy sitting behind me who was inside beforehand and moved out to smoke. Came to my table and said - I kid you not: "Want to order?". First of all: I highly appreciate you start in english. OBVIOUSLY I have shown in some shape or form that I am a stupid annoying tourist, who you guys do not want to have there. I said I do and luckily I did check their card before getting there. I did order food (priced at 28€). They do not tell what beers they serve on the card as they stock everchanging local and other beer. So I asked what beer they have and her response was "many". I seriously WISH I was kidding. Shrugging her shoulders she said "like you want Heineken?". Guys, I do not know your customs in the Netherlands and if I did something wrong, fine. My fault. Id did not want to offend anybody. But at least tell me. At the end of the day, I am there to pay for the service, food and beer. Give me a chance to endevour it properly -and learn for the future so I can do it your way. There were no paper cards lieing around, but their online service is great. Now do the math if there were people around not ackeen to such stuff. What would they have done? She brought no card out so what would have been her answer if they did ask for if? "Yeah, I will bring it" and then be a now show for another 15 mintues? If you want people to come inside to order SAY SO SOMEWHERE. Nobody would mind, but being ignored and treated like an absolute brick? Damn. Well, the Heineken came quick and the food after 20 minutes. Spot on, seriously! That was great! I had the smoked brisked. Oh boy, that was insanely good. The sauce and the fries...highly recommended. What put me off even further was the fact, that they did drop the food on my table and did serve the table down the row several times while I was there. They were speaking dutch, which is why I have been lead to the "annoying tourist" bit at the start. Never have I been asked for a refill. Once everything was done and the dutch table was served once more, sucessfully ignoring me, I took the plate and empty glass and brought it inside myself. The lady from the start again ignored me. A guy took my payment and put his - it sounds weird, but I will swear an oath to this one - earpods back in. Do I have to draw it out further what I meant by feeling unwelcome? I then did see their incredibly broad beer range. Not only by bottle in their vast fridges, but also at draft. Never got around to discover more than Heineken...which we all know already. But hey...now you may say I just want to harm them, look at the stars. I mean no harm at all. Their food was great. The service lackluster. Oh and you may think they were busy: Guy who sat inside and came out for a smoke, me and then the five dutch guys. That's it. No customers inside.

Last sat with a group of friends. Beers are very tasty but really way too expensive…. Meat also very expensive and mediocre in quality. I will skip from now on!

My recent visit to Beers & Barrels in Utrecht was a real disappointment. First of all, our order was incomplete; we were missing a dish, which was a bad start. But it got worse: the burgers we did get were ice cold. As if that wasn't bad enough, the men's toilets were in a terrible state, covered in shit, which was truly disgusting. And as if the evening couldn't be ruined enough, the beer prices were absurdly high. All in all, it was a horrible experience and I really hope they get their act together, because this is unacceptable.

Probably better suited for evening entertainment, so by all means head there then. Just avoid afternoons. It was deserted at 4pm, so we chose an outside table and ordered some non-alcoholic beverages. 4 drinks, 3 dissatisfied customers who got basically syrup and (sparkling) water. At €5 per drink, we essentially paid for a place to sit. With the water just across the street, we expected a view at least. A boundary wall blocks the view - you'll see a few boat masts sticking out. Hope it's wonderful at night.

Service was good but the food was too cold and not enough for our group of 12 people

We had dinner here with a group of 14 people. Book well in advance 3 months in order to be able to eat and have drinks from 8:15 PM to 11:00 PM. Unfortunately upon arrival the group was split into 2 tables, I don't know if this is normal here but I do NOT think this is normal. Opted for a group arrangement with tapping. €75 per person. For this we only received a few pieces of bread with a little bit of dip. It was clearly stated that we wanted all dishes to be distributed evenly over 3 points so that everyone could have something of everything, especially since we were spread over 2 tables... Then the carpachio for 14 people, which was enough for 6. Spare ribs together with some chicken wings, which was enough for 8 to 10. Unfortunately, completely cold, as if it came straight from the refrigerator, very special. Then we got potatoes with some meat on top. And 1 bowl of meat. These dishes were also for about 8 people. They ate this and arrived with the salads... usually you expect this before your meat and not after your meat, but well... to end your evening meal with a salad is a bit strange. After this we got some chocolate chunks and some more cubes for desert. This was also only for about 6 or 8 people. On the other hand, the beer package was nice. We guys really enjoyed that. In short, a mockery you say against. Especially when you can imagine that for €75 p.p. you can generally eat and drink quite well, but unfortunately not here. All you can eat included is cheaper and I dare to put my hands on the fire for 95% of those types of tents, even better. Oh yes, you also get hot food instead of cold meat... I sent them an email and am curious whether I can resolve this with them. Of course I will update this message. If not, I advise you NOT to come here.

Thought it was a bit pricey for a Beer and Hamburger with fries, but ohyeah....it was delicious!!!....so forget about the prices and enjoy your ordered bite....plenty of nice place!

Unfortunately, the high expectations were not met. It was very noisy, the employees were nice, but not enough to provide fast service, and the biggest shame was that the brisket was overcooked. The taste was okay, but it was so dry that we needed the drinks to get it down. A shame, because the experience two years ago was great. Hopefully you can pick it up again :)

What a refreshing disappointment this is. We had made a reservation as a group of 14, but in the end we had to move the tables together ourselves to make it a bit more cozy. Beforehand we could only choose from nachos and bread with dip and that was good for us. We asked if it could be divided over several plates, so that it was evenly spread across the table. However, we received 1 large platter with nachos and 1 large platter with bread. We also ordered hamburgers and they were fine, but they also arrived on a large platter and we had to divide them ourselves. Service is therefore lacking... the waiter also started a discussion about a drink that went wrong and we were addressed with the legendary word “bro”. Then we arrived that the last round was starting (at 10:00 PM while the shop closes at 11:00 PM) At 10:50 PM we and the other guests were told that we had to be out of the tent in 10 minutes and this was not delivered in a friendly manner. This company could use a hospitality course for its staff. Not recommended to eat here if you want to have a nice outing with a group

Met een groep van 14 man dit restaurant bezocht en meer dan 40 euro per persoon betaald voor het ‘eten’. Als voorgerecht moesten we het doen met 3 schaaltjes carpaccio in een hoeveelheid die genoeg zou zijn geweest voor 6 mensen, in totaal lagen er 6 stukjes stokbrood bij. Verder kregen we 4 schaaltjes met burrata (zonder brood of iets erbij) en 1 schaaltje nachos. Wat een ongelooflijke aanfluiting. Het ‘hoofdgerecht’ bestond uit 1 plaatje met vlees 2 platen met kip en 1 met spareribs en 1 schaaltje friet waarvan we dachten dat het per persoon zou zijn. Het toetje bestond uit een schaaltje met taartpuntjes en brownie. Echter lagen er voor 16 mensen maar 12 stukken op. Echt een aanfluiting. Toen we aan de manager vroegen wat hij zelf van de porties vond gaf hij aan dat we bij klachten maar naar het hoofdkantoor moeten gaan. Er werd niet naar een oplossing gezocht, te onprofessioneel voor woorden. Echt ga hier niet met een groot gezelschap eten, ik raad het niemand aan en hoop ook oprecht dat mensen na het lezen van deze recensie dit restaurant overslaan en wel iets fatsoenlijks zoeken want Utrecht heeft genoeg plekken die wel leuk zijn!

Food is good. Especially the aged meat dishes. Portions are a bit small Service is nice but food took so long to arrive. Overall good but come with time and patience.

Pathetic reception and customer unfriendly treatment. Reservation that was set was shamelessly delayed by 1 hour. We had to wait on the terrace and were reprimanded there. Then a long wait for food. The cocktails are watery and contain little or no alcohol. The meat was served dry. Absolutely not recommended, never coming back.

We had made the reservation weeks in advance. Once they arrived, they had installed it half an hour later. Then had to wait another 50 minutes for bread and butter. Then finally the food came. Ribs and chicken were adequate. The brisket was very tough and dry. The pulled pork sandwiches were of poor quality. We have it. We skipped dessert. Not recommended!

Biggest mockery of a restaurant I have ever eaten at Visited this restaurant with a group of 14 people and paid more than 40 euros per person for the 'food'. As a starter we had to make do with 3 bowls of carpaccio in an amount that would have been enough for 6 people, with a total of 6 pieces of baguette. The 'main course' consisted of 1 plate with meat, 2 plates with chicken and 1 with spare ribs and 1 bowl of fries which we thought would be per person. Dessert consisted of a bowl of cake slices and a brownie. However, there were only 12 pieces on it for 16 people. A real mockery. When we asked the manager what he thought of the portions, he indicated that if we had any complaints, we should go to the head office. No solution was sought, too unprofessional for words. Don't eat here with a large group, I don't recommend it to anyone and I sincerely hope that people will skip this restaurant after reading this review and look for something decent because Utrecht has plenty of places that are nice!

What a ball tent. Despite a reservation, 13 people were crammed into a table for 9 people. Get this: the entire group had to order the same dish; 6x platter and 7x burgers was too complicated for a tent with 200 seats. Tapping yourself is the biggest scam ever, because you can first rinse the pipes at your own expense (at least 2-3 liters for €16), and the pressure is much too high. Then the 'deluxe' platters were very mediocre: bone-dry brisqet, dry chicken with only flavor on the skin, and even the fries were limp and gross. I wouldn't recommend any group waste their money here.

Long wait, reservation was canceled 1 hour the day before. Flut service. Not recommended.

Had a nice meeting together with Go-Mage

Vreselijke service, eerst was het heel lastig om iets te bestellen, bij het afrekenen stond de bestelling er niet in en na het afrekenen (wat ook heel moeilijk was, liepen wij weg en werden wij staande gehouden op straat omdat wij zogenaamd niet hadden betaald. Te bizar voor worden en we werden slecht behandeld. Excuses voor dit kregen we ook niet, terwijl wij hier al jaren komen.

Recientemente visité Cervezas y Barriles y me lo pasé genial en general. El ambiente era animado y divertido, y el personal, tanto en la cocina como en el piso, era muy amable. Sin embargo, el camarero parecía un poco estricto, lo que le quitaba un poco el ambiente relajado. En cuanto a la comida, llegó rápido y se sirvió caliente, que siempre es una ventaja. Pedí el Low & Slow Platter para compartir porque quería probar un poco de todo. La carne estaba bien condimentada, perfectamente equilibrada entre salada y dulce, pero la mayor decepción fue la falta de un sabor a barbacoa ahumado. Para un lugar con dos huevos verdes grandes en la cocina, esperaba más de esa característica barbacoa ahumada. Por el lado bueno, cambié papas fritas regulares por batatas, que fue una gran opción. Los lados complementaron bien la comida, y en general, la comida era sólida. Si le dan un mejor uso a esos fumadores, ¡Beers & Barrels podría ir fácilmente de bien a bien! ¿Regresaría? Sí, pero me encantaría probar ese verdadero ahumado de barbacoa la próxima vez.

We were not the smallest group, but the service took some time. The staff was not decisive enough to quickly decide which menu we could choose from. In addition, no plates, no napkins, no sauce and no cutlery were provided. We had to ask about this ourselves. Drinks were delivered late. The food and drinks themselves were excellent.

Good food, but quite expensive. Friendly staff, but kind of disinterested, tbh. The beer tap at the table was not easy to pour, every beer was more foam than beer, and also somehow flat at the same time. Weird location as well… I won’t be back.
