Bezorgrestaurant De Beren Berkel en Rodenrijs - Berkelse Poort in Wijk 26 De Wadden

On March 9th, we ordered two menus from De Beren Berkel en Rodenrijs. Shortly after ordering, we received a call saying the menu in question was sold out. It happens, so we indicated we'd prefer a refund so we could order from another location. They said they'd take care of that. That same evening, we ordered from De Beren Zoetermeer – perfectly fine. But now, almost a month has passed, and we still haven't received our refund. We've called several times and each time, we're told a different story. First, the money was supposedly on its way, then the system malfunctioned, and finally, it turned out that only the owner can refund money. He happened to be on vacation and would be back after Ramadan. That was a while ago, but still nothing has happened. I called again today, and again: maybe the owner will be there tonight, so we can call again tonight hoping he's there. I wasn't planning on leaving a negative review at all. It can happen that something is sold out, or that something goes wrong with the refund, or due to circumstances like vacation. I understand. But at least make sure it's handled properly afterward. Let someone else take responsibility in the owner's absence. No proactive communication, no return calls, no accountability. Now I have to keep calling back, and nothing gets resolved. A truly disappointing experience.

Two weeks ago, on a Tuesday, I ordered for my daughter and me. My daughter had a children's menu with a bear mug. The bear mug wasn't included. A coffee mug with a drawing was, however. Mayonnaise and applesauce weren't included either. I tried calling, but no one answered. I sent two emails, but no response. I filed a complaint through the central organization. I received a message saying they would respond. I didn't hear back from that either. So, you don't get what you paid for. I was quite amused by the improvised mug. However, I did expect the correct mug to be delivered later.

Drama... ordered food at 18 o'clock, now 8 o'clock still nothing while the email says they are almost there (it has been there for more than 45 minutes). I called twice after being on hold for 15 minutes, the connection was suddenly broken... too sad for words.

It's a complete disaster. The delivery was incorrect; we received far too little food. They were then completely unreachable. It's therefore impossible to get the correct food delivered, as it's impossible to report the error. The food that arrived was decent, but the fries were soggy and cold.

The food was 25 minutes late. Our fries were both completely cold, and the mayo was left uncovered throughout the entire box of fries. The burgers were in the wrong boxes. The only positive was that the burgers were delicious.

I ordered spareribs online on January 28th. They couldn't be delivered. I was called back and told I could choose something else or get a refund. I opted for a refund. It's now been four weeks, including a visit to the Berkel branch and countless emails with the company and the head office, but I still haven't received my money back despite all the promises. Very sloppy!

Where do I begin? 1 + 1 mixed grill. Ordered extra sauces, but peanut sauce and aioli were both never delivered. Satay without peanut sauce is absolutely awful. I called and spent 10 minutes on the phone, but hung up because they were unreachable. Fries were lukewarm, the chicken wasn't cleaned properly, and there was a very hard piece in it. Spare ribs, two ribs, were very dry and inedible. You pay almost 40 euros and you just get junk. I'm done with it now and won't order from them again.

Terrible business, the quality is never the same as you order. Everything is cold or just lukewarm, the meat is completely dried out, and the fries seem to have been fried three times. It's a real waste of money if you order from here!

I took advantage of the buy-one-get-one-free offer on Valentine's Day. I opted for the mixed grill. After waiting two hours, the meals finally arrived. It seemed like they'd had too many orders and had to cut corners. No 200g spare ribs; one meal contained only one rib, the other. Small pieces of steak, one of which was two bites long. No chicken breast, but both menus contained one skewer with three very salty pieces of chicken. And another skewer with three small pieces of pork tenderloin, also very salty. It tasted basically the same, like salt. The fries were good, though. I called about the contents, but I'll have to call back the next day to talk to the manager about it. I had already left a tip when ordering. I regret the order!!

The food is really disappointing, the fries are limp, the meat is in a semi-decomposing state. The steak is tougher than the sole of my shoe. Really wasted money at €60

Delivery was at the stated time. Unfortunately not complete. The cold dishes were missing. Not available by phone. On hold for 10 minutes several times and then hung up. They answered twice but then hung up again. Also try to make contact via email. 2 hours later, due to crowds, I received an email that the carpaccio was still being delivered. Well....

Ordered at 6:00 PM. was supposed to arrive at 7:30 PM, certainly an hour later still nothing. Always on time in the past! first bad experience, too bad it said on the order tracker that they were working on it, later received it again on order, strange?

Food NOT delivered after 2.5 hours of waiting. Unavailable by phone for 1 hour. Don't order food here!

Ordered here for the 4th time and it was not delivered for the 2nd time. After waiting 2.5 hours and heating up yesterday's leftovers, I decided never to order here again.

After waiting 1.5 hours and being on hold for 20 minutes while calling, we decided to drop by. Our order was stuck in the system and was therefore never processed. They also indicated that the telephone was not working that evening, so they did not answer. We were helped quickly on the spot after we had chosen to get our food instead of a refund. This was made quickly and as compensation they provided chocolate chip cookies, ice cream, drinks and extra large portions (3 ribs instead of 2 and 4 sticks instead of the ordered 2). It's just a shame that the order can get stuck in the system (2nd time this has happened in 4 orders). In addition, it does not help that they cannot be reached by telephone.

Ordered carpaccio. When the box was opened, the carpaccio was buried under a mountain of lettuce. The promised bacon, cheese and pine nuts were nowhere to be found. As well as the truffle sauce, which seemed to have been replaced by some kind of yogurt sauce or something. Really scandalous!!!

Ordered spare ribs last month, but they were greasy, half raw and inedible. After complaining, I was called on Friday with the message that it was busy and that they would call back on Monday. So that wasn't until Tuesday and he would bring new spare ribs that evening with the feeling that I had no other choice. This week I tried again, but again 1 menu normal and 1 menu the spare ribs were so terribly thick that the taste was not everywhere and raw again. No more calls this time because you are not taken seriously. I have now ordered once from another bear and it was perfect. Never again in Berkel!!!

Spareribs are served cold, after waiting on hold for 16 minutes, the manager indicated that a new portion would be delivered (an hour later), these Spareribs were also cold! Paid 33 euros and warmed up in the microwave. How the quality has deteriorated. They cannot be eaten. Thick and fatty ribs. Never again for me

Ordered chicken with mushroom sauce. Forgot to deliver the sauce so it would be delivered again. Also requested a new portion of fries because of lukewarm fries upon arrival. The man on the phone already said that the delivery person had been on the road too long and also wondered why it took so long. Forgot the mushroom sauce again when it was delivered again. Called again, manager was not there. I was now able to throw away food because everything was cold. Also no one was allowed to determine anything regarding compensation... at most, refund 2 euros for the sauce... No more bears for us.

Hopeless, delivery time now almost 2 hours, while the site says between 30 and 45 minutes.

The owner Omar does not know what customer focus is. And asks me to have my review removed in exchange for a free menu. I don't sell my soul for 18 euros, sorry.

Words can't even describe this case

Didn't get a baked potato. Called 10 minutes later. Don't answer. Passed by everyone is already gone. Went to the mac for fries. Went by the next day to correct this. Omar wants to give me 50 cents back. Customer-oriented service is hard to find. Never order here again. Team leaders treat customers even better than so-called owner “Omar”. Not an entrepreneur in heart and soul. Customer is king. I commend the team leader who called me back and offered me a free menu

Have food delivered. Nice delivery person. Delivery on time. Food was very bad. Hamburger had more sauce than the rest, fries lukewarm and limp, spare ribs watery, satay reasonable, ice melted. 80% wasted. Never again!

Ordered via the Beren's own website. Food was tasty and hot. Delivered right on time.

Delivery was very fast, faster than they planned. The loaded fries were okay. A lot of sauce. The spare ribs were covered in BBQ sauce and therefore soggy and no longer tasted like spare ribs but like the sauce. Unfortunately it was disappointing.

Not satisfied for the second time. Ordered salad with chicken last time. After delivery time I received a call that the chicken was gone and that I had to choose something else. The carpaccio salad was not possible at that time. Ordered carpaccio salad with break bread today. It was delivered a little later (7:05 PM instead of 6:45 PM) which is not a problem in itself. But there was no breakable bread and there was no truffle mayonnaise on the salad. When I called I was told that the salad did not come with truffle mayonnaise. He could have a new salad and bread delivered, but that would take half an hour. By now it was already 7:15 PM, so I wasn't happy with that half hour. When I said that, the boy I was talking to said that it wasn't their fault that I didn't order truffle mayonnaise... Eventually a new salad and breakaway bread was delivered (I'm still waiting for it at the moment). I immediately looked at the website and guess what? The salad should (of course) simply be topped with truffle mayonnaise.

Unfortunately not satisfied either. Received wrong box. Called and it was restored. That was great. But food was disappointing: Not French but regular fries. Hamburger drowned in sauce and bread soggy. So not recommended. Addition: An hour later (free) box is delivered With freshly prepared hamburger and fries and an extra cup of ice cream for my grandson who had already opened the door 3 times. Restored with class

The food is always excellent and so is the delivery. It is a shame that things were not correct with our last 3 orders. This was also the case last Saturday. When we called back, it turned out that the product in question had run out and they added something else. It would be appreciated if someone called about this.

Tried to call, first time they just hung up. Second time I had someone on the line until all I heard on the other end was music. Apparently they don't want to make money...

We had chicken satay 3 times and 1 beef steak with traditional fries (more expensive fries), the fries were all old, stiff and dry, we received no mayo, no salt, no wipes, no sauce with the steak and the satay was only 2 skewers.

Delivery is not made according to order. When inquiring by telephone, nothing can be said or explained. After indicating that it was urgent because the order was tailored to someone with an allergy, they promised to call me back (by a manager). This did not happen. No more orders from the Beren, if your health is important to you!

By just taking a few bites of the spare ribs, my life expectancy has decreased by 15 years, what a horror.

Do not order for delivery in Pijnacker, your food will arrive lukewarm. Both the spareribs and satay, and your fries are now tough. Called and some fries can be delivered, but would it have been warm??? It's a shame to spend almost €40. If you cannot deliver hot food with a moped when it is 11 degrees outside, do not deliver outside Berkel or deliver outside Berkel by car 🤬🤬

Ordered spareribs with gluten-free bread and herb butter. The bread has been heated in the microwave. Because of this I was not able to eat the bread. Extremely dried out.. And the herb butter did not become butter, but oil.. The spare ribs were meh, normally they are used to coming off the bone easily.. Now I had to cut with a sharp knife.

Have been ordering here for years, always delicious, varied, fast, fresh and professional! Very friendly contact person and nice delivery people. Our regular, trusted address has no better tent in Berkel. Great guys, keep it up!

Leave out the chicken wins. Chicken itself has little taste and is wrapped in far too thick, mealy fare. How can you ruin wings like that! Thanks to the excellent fries, it is still 2 stars, but the wings are not even worth 1 star.

Altijd lekker en heerlijk vers! Door de weeks altijd binnen 30 minuten bezorgd, in het weekend duurt het wat langer maar dat is niet zo raar dan is het natuurlijk een stuk drukker. Maar daar kan je prima rekening mee houden door op tijd te bestellen of een tijd bon te plaatsen! Kortom heeeel tevreden en erg blij dat de Beren in Berkel zit ! 😁

Hebben eten thuis laten bezorgen. De kip was heerlijk en supermals!! Wij hebben heerlijk gegeten op de afgesproken tijd! onder de wedstrijd van oranje. Jammer wel dat we verloren hebben

We orderer 7 meals and the rib eye was a disaster (burnt and overcooked). Our guest could not eat it. Disappointing.

Normaal altijd prima/normale kwaliteit, verwacht geen luxe eten want het is fastfood, maar dikwijls is het prima! Echter de ribeye was echt niet te pruimen. Veel te lang gebakken en erg dunnetjes.

Het probleem van de vega saté is opgelost nu hebben ze het altijd. Alleen hebben ze een andere merk gekocht en het is geen lekkere vega saté helaas. rare kruiden en zeker minder lekker dan de vorige. Helaas maakt beren de laatste maanden meer fouten. Misschien door de drukte. Hopelijk wordt dat opgelost en wat waarschijnlijk niet gaat gebeuren dat ze hun oude vegetarische saté weer gaan verkopen .

Verfrissend vriendelijk, altijd even correct en een hele goede warme hap als in meer dan waar voor je geld!
