On March 9th, we ordered two menus from De Beren Berkel en Rodenrijs. Shortly after ordering, we received a call saying the menu in question was sold out. It happens, so we indicated we'd prefer a refund so we could order from another location. They said they'd take care of that. That same evening, we ordered from De Beren Zoetermeer – perfectly fine. But now, almost a month has passed, and we still haven't received our refund. We've called several times and each time, we're told a different story. First, the money was supposedly on its way, then the system malfunctioned, and finally, it turned out that only the owner can refund money. He happened to be on vacation and would be back after Ramadan. That was a while ago, but still nothing has happened. I called again today, and again: maybe the owner will be there tonight, so we can call again tonight hoping he's there. I wasn't planning on leaving a negative review at all. It can happen that something is sold out, or that something goes wrong with the refund, or due to circumstances like vacation. I understand. But at least make sure it's handled properly afterward. Let someone else take responsibility in the owner's absence. No proactive communication, no return calls, no accountability. Now I have to keep calling back, and nothing gets resolved. A truly disappointing experience.

Two weeks ago, on a Tuesday, I ordered for my daughter and me. My daughter had a children's menu with a bear mug. The bear mug wasn't included. A coffee mug with a drawing was, however. Mayonnaise and applesauce weren't included either. I tried calling, but no one answered. I sent two emails, but no response. I filed a complaint through the central organization. I received a message saying they would respond. I didn't hear back from that either. So, you don't get what you paid for. I was quite amused by the improvised mug. However, I did expect the correct mug to be delivered later.

It's a complete disaster. The delivery was incorrect; we received far too little food. They were then completely unreachable. It's therefore impossible to get the correct food delivered, as it's impossible to report the error. The food that arrived was decent, but the fries were soggy and cold.

I ordered spareribs online on January 28th. They couldn't be delivered. I was called back and told I could choose something else or get a refund. I opted for a refund. It's now been four weeks, including a visit to the Berkel branch and countless emails with the company and the head office, but I still haven't received my money back despite all the promises. Very sloppy!

Where do I begin? 1 + 1 mixed grill. Ordered extra sauces, but peanut sauce and aioli were both never delivered. Satay without peanut sauce is absolutely awful. I called and spent 10 minutes on the phone, but hung up because they were unreachable. Fries were lukewarm, the chicken wasn't cleaned properly, and there was a very hard piece in it. Spare ribs, two ribs, were very dry and inedible. You pay almost 40 euros and you just get junk. I'm done with it now and won't order from them again.

Terrible business, the quality is never the same as you order. Everything is cold or just lukewarm, the meat is completely dried out, and the fries seem to have been fried three times. It's a real waste of money if you order from here!

I took advantage of the buy-one-get-one-free offer on Valentine's Day. I opted for the mixed grill. After waiting two hours, the meals finally arrived. It seemed like they'd had too many orders and had to cut corners. No 200g spare ribs; one meal contained only one rib, the other. Small pieces of steak, one of which was two bites long. No chicken breast, but both menus contained one skewer with three very salty pieces of chicken. And another skewer with three small pieces of pork tenderloin, also very salty. It tasted basically the same, like salt. The fries were good, though. I called about the contents, but I'll have to call back the next day to talk to the manager about it. I had already left a tip when ordering. I regret the order!!

After waiting 1.5 hours and being on hold for 20 minutes while calling, we decided to drop by. Our order was stuck in the system and was therefore never processed. They also indicated that the telephone was not working that evening, so they did not answer. We were helped quickly on the spot after we had chosen to get our food instead of a refund. This was made quickly and as compensation they provided chocolate chip cookies, ice cream, drinks and extra large portions (3 ribs instead of 2 and 4 sticks instead of the ordered 2). It's just a shame that the order can get stuck in the system (2nd time this has happened in 4 orders). In addition, it does not help that they cannot be reached by telephone.

Ordered carpaccio. When the box was opened, the carpaccio was buried under a mountain of lettuce. The promised bacon, cheese and pine nuts were nowhere to be found. As well as the truffle sauce, which seemed to have been replaced by some kind of yogurt sauce or something. Really scandalous!!!

Ordered spare ribs last month, but they were greasy, half raw and inedible. After complaining, I was called on Friday with the message that it was busy and that they would call back on Monday. So that wasn't until Tuesday and he would bring new spare ribs that evening with the feeling that I had no other choice. This week I tried again, but again 1 menu normal and 1 menu the spare ribs were so terribly thick that the taste was not everywhere and raw again. No more calls this time because you are not taken seriously. I have now ordered once from another bear and it was perfect. Never again in Berkel!!!

Ordered chicken with mushroom sauce. Forgot to deliver the sauce so it would be delivered again. Also requested a new portion of fries because of lukewarm fries upon arrival. The man on the phone already said that the delivery person had been on the road too long and also wondered why it took so long. Forgot the mushroom sauce again when it was delivered again. Called again, manager was not there. I was now able to throw away food because everything was cold. Also no one was allowed to determine anything regarding compensation... at most, refund 2 euros for the sauce... No more bears for us.

Omar wants to give me 50 cents back. Customer-oriented service is hard to find. Never order here again. Team leaders treat customers even better than so-called owner “Omar”. Delivery was very fast, faster than they planned. The loaded fries were okay. A lot of sauce. The spare ribs were covered in BBQ sauce and therefore soggy and no longer tasted like spare ribs but like the sauce. Unfortunately it was disappointing.

Not satisfied for the second time. Ordered salad with chicken last time. After delivery time I received a call that the chicken was gone and that I had to choose something else. The carpaccio salad was not possible at that time. Ordered carpaccio salad with break bread today. It was delivered a little later (7:05 PM instead of 6:45 PM) which is not a problem in itself. But there was no breakable bread and there was no truffle mayonnaise on the salad. When I called I was told that the salad did not come with truffle mayonnaise. He could have a new salad and bread delivered, but that would take half an hour. By now it was already 7:15 PM, so I wasn't happy with that half hour. When I said that, the boy I was talking to said that it wasn't their fault that I didn't order truffle mayonnaise... Eventually a new salad and breakaway bread was delivered (I'm still waiting for it at the moment). I immediately looked at the website and guess what? The salad should (of course) simply be topped with truffle mayonnaise.

Unfortunately not satisfied either. Received wrong box. Called and it was restored. That was great. But food was disappointing: Not French but regular fries. Hamburger drowned in sauce and bread soggy. So not recommended. Addition: An hour later (free) box is delivered With freshly prepared hamburger and fries and an extra cup of ice cream for my grandson who had already opened the door 3 times. Restored with class

Do not order for delivery in Pijnacker, your food will arrive lukewarm. Both the spareribs and satay, and your fries are now tough. Called and some fries can be delivered, but would it have been warm??? It's a shame to spend almost €40. Ordered spareribs with gluten-free bread and herb butter. The bread has been heated in the microwave. Because of this I was not able to eat the bread. Extremely dried out.. And the herb butter did not become butter, but oil.. The spare ribs were meh, normally they are used to coming off the bone easily.. Now I had to cut with a sharp knife.

Leave out the chicken wins. Chicken itself has little taste and is wrapped in far too thick, mealy fare. How can you ruin wings like that! Thanks to the excellent fries, it is still 2 stars, but the wings are not even worth 1 star.

Altijd lekker en heerlijk vers! Door de weeks altijd binnen 30 minuten bezorgd, in het weekend duurt het wat langer maar dat is niet zo raar dan is het natuurlijk een stuk drukker. Maar daar kan je prima rekening mee houden door op tijd te bestellen of een tijd bon te plaatsen! Kortom heeeel tevreden en erg blij dat de Beren in Berkel zit ! 😁

Het probleem van de vega saté is opgelost nu hebben ze het altijd. Alleen hebben ze een andere merk gekocht en het is geen lekkere vega saté helaas. rare kruiden en zeker minder lekker dan de vorige. Helaas maakt beren de laatste maanden meer fouten. Misschien door de drukte. Hopelijk wordt dat opgelost en wat waarschijnlijk niet gaat gebeuren dat ze hun oude vegetarische saté weer gaan verkopen .

At 5:25 PM, I ordered two pizzas and aloili bread. The website said it would be delivered within 30 minutes. After 40 minutes, I called and called twice, but someone answered the phone and told me to allow an hour instead of half an hour, but she said she'd make it urgent. By 6:25 PM, still nothing. I waited until 6:35 PM and called again and again. No one answered. At 7:15 PM, I jumped in the car to pick it up, but it turned out Sugo Berkel had been CLOSED for over a week!!! They do everything from Hillegersberg. I got in the car and drove to Hillegersberg and asked for a refund, but they couldn't just give it to me; it will be refunded within two business days. When I got there, it turned out it had arrived over two hours after I ordered it; cold, hard, barely topped, and inedible.

Great restaurant if you want a delicious meal while your kids play. If you're bringing children, ask to sit upstairs. That way you can keep an eye on them while enjoying a leisurely meal for a reasonable price.
