Great restaurant if you want a delicious meal while your kids play. If you're bringing children, ask to sit upstairs. That way you can keep an eye on them while enjoying a leisurely meal for a reasonable price.

At Christmas dinner with many women. The air conditioning was working very hard, and the cool airflow wasn't pleasant.

A monstrous burger that commands respect. The steak slices practically melt in your mouth. The most welcoming restaurant we've ever seen. Professional with allergens. Super friendly service.

The service was friendly and quick, even though it was quite busy. The food was delicious. Since we had a reservation, there was no problem finding a seat.

Each of the Beren restaurants offers a different flavor. Some are more delicious than others, and they're prepared with care. It was manageable compared to the Beren at the Markthal.

It was pleasantly busy at 6:30 pm; we had a three-course meal with a Kruidvat voucher, which is two people for one meal. The price was €29.95. Drinks still need to be paid for. The food was truly delicious: starter: rib fingers and tomato soup with meatballs (see photo). Main course: chicken satay and spicy crispy chicken (see photos). Dessert: Apple crumble and a deluxe coffee (with 5 different small cookies). Definitely worth repeating!

The food and portions are delicious and generous. We had a three-course meal through Kruidvat. We got the idea as soon as we walked in when I said we were part of the Kruidvat special ("Oh yeah, come on," was the answer). We were seated in a corner where a few other Kruidvat customers were sitting. It felt like we were less important. I found that annoying. Treat people like any other guest, special offer or no special offer. De Beren should choose not to offer special offers. We arrived at 6:10 PM and left immediately after dessert at 8:05 PM. It all took a very long time.

We had a great three-course meal at an affordable price (we used a Kruidvat voucher). There was plenty of choice for everyone in the family. The service was friendly; it could have been a bit faster, but it was manageable, and we weren't in a hurry.

Thursday night dinner, the table didn't smell fresh, the service was very slow, and there was no attention to the customers. The food was disappointing for a bear restaurant. The spare ribs were disappointing (reheated?), the fries were undercooked, and the apple crumble was served very spicy and sweet. Dishes weren't available on the (limited) menu. What's going on with this bear restaurant? Judging by the atmosphere among the staff, something's going on.

I won't be going here again. There wasn't a soul in the place around dinner time, and everything takes a while... The food is good, so it's a shame about the chef, but otherwise, the service is extremely slow.

We were there with the whole family, 25 people including older and younger children. We had a delicious meal with excellent value for money. The service was friendly and efficient. They were very flexible with our large group. The children enjoyed the play area. The restaurant has a spacious layout and a pleasant atmosphere.

We thought we'd celebrate my late father-in-law's birthday again and go to De Beren in Bleiswijk again this year. I have to tell you, this was definitely the last time we ate there. The food was lukewarm and the wait between courses was incredibly long. All I wanted was to eat quickly and get out of here. I can think of a more enjoyable, delicious evening.

Nice restaurant, but a bit pricey for what you get. My friend ordered a salmon sandwich for lunch for €14.95. To our surprise, it only had one small slice of salmon on it. I ordered a "large" cola, which cost €5.20. Then the waitress brought a 33cl bottle. Apparently, that's considered large these days. A regular hamburger costs €21.25 at De Beren in Bleiswijk these days. Personally, I find this a bit pricey for what you get. The quality of the food has declined in recent years, and the prices have gone up by 50%. I wanted to order a cappuccino, but the waitress never showed up, so we just went home.

The food was delicious, we were happily celebrating my birthday together, until mice started running around the place—it was so filthy!!! The staff didn't respond, couldn't even offer an apology. They should have just closed the place until the problem was resolved. You pay a lot of money, and then you're surrounded by mice. Never going back there again, of course, now we understand why it was so quiet.

Never had such a bad experience at De Beren. The pork tenderloin arrived raw (probably frozen and thrown into the pan). The spare ribs were also not tasty and had clearly been pre-cooked and reheated. The food was truly awful.

The food was definitely not bad (ok: the tomato soup tasted weirdly sweet), but the place itself can us a bit more love and attention. Floors feel sticky and the top of the table smelled like moldy towels. Cutlery was also showing stains and feel a bit greasy.

My family and I dined together. Before we even got to the table, we felt the floor was sticky. It took ages to order drinks and then the food. A quick trip to the restroom then. The floor is incredibly sticky, and the faucets are dirty. The table is set, and when I pick up the cutlery, it sticks and isn't clean. There's a musty smell of dirty dishcloths. The food was okay. The tomato soup and carpaccio weren't anything special, the shrimp were okay. The burger was okay, but it didn't come with much salad, a small bowl of coleslaw. The satay had three small skewers and also a small bowl of coleslaw. The fries were too greasy and not tasty. The spareribs weren't good. The applesauce, however, was good. The frikadel was fine. Then the waiter brought dessert while the plates were still there. It was for the neighbors... it happens. The apple crumble was okay, vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce was excellent, and the chocolate bomb was great. It's a shame the lava cake was cold. The restaurant looks nice, and the service is friendly. But it's not clean.

We had dinner at Beren Bleiswijk on Friday night. It was delicious as always, and the service was friendly. It was a successful evening.

At 5:30, at 5:50, we were asked what we wanted to drink. At 6:15, a drink was brought. At 6:30, we asked what we wanted to eat. The food arrived at 7:50. Twice the regular fries, which should have been one pair of fries and one pair of French fries. And at 7:45, they came to ask for dessert. While other people arrived later than us, they were already completely finished. It was scandalous to eat from 5:30 to 8:30.

The food and service were perfect. The men's restroom was very dirty, which could use some attention, but otherwise, it was excellent.

Had a great meal at De Beren Bleiswijk last night. The 3-course menu was delicious! Carpaccio as a starter is always good, and I am willing to pay extra for it. Pork tenderloin with grilled vegetables and French fries with an extra bowl for free: great. Dame Blanche for dessert was delicious as always. Friendly service and when asked if we could wait for dessert, that was no problem. Had a wonderful Friday evening, and was helped in a friendly manner.

Prices are low (took 3 course menu of €30), food mediocre. This makes the price-quality ratio very good. I think the fries have no taste and the satay sauce was very greasy. Gyōza fine and Apple rumble dessert very tasty.

Unfortunately not as tasty as before. Loaded potatoes with pulled chicken and satay sauce. Almost no chicken to be seen on the plate! Only fries with lots of satay sauce and veeeery little meat. I have eaten that dish a few times before and always liked it. Now unfortunately bad experience and will never order again.

The coffee was not at temperature, but lukewarm. We did get a new cup of coffee, but still!

Started by a young lady who might be better off working in another industry where you don't come into contact with people because with every interaction it seemed like she didn't want to live anymore. We waited 40 minutes for the food. Other guests who came in later were served earlier, so we asked if it would take much longer to which she replied that the ribs were ready earlier. Although it may be true that other dishes are ready faster, I doubt that a steak takes 40 minutes. 5 minutes later it arrived, the cold and red tournedos! We didn't want to say anything about that because the girl was already tired of life. With both drinks and dessert you hear "we don't have that anymore". Let someone else buy your products or remove it from your cards. Maybe your recruitment department can hire some older staff who take the work more seriously and not someone who takes this as their first side job. Or maybe give some better training on how to deal with guests and handle complaints. That's how you keep getting bad reviews.

A table already at 5 p.m. Granddaughter, waiting 20 minutes to order our first drink. You have to ask for the card and the wait starts. The spicy crispy chicken was not spicy yet crispy. Schnitzel pepper sauce I sent back, meat was raw. Tournedo weldone requested, it was very red but sent back. Empty glasses were not taken, new ones were not brought either. The coffee round was also very disappointing. I have never seen an Irish coffee made like this. Sent this back too. Staff with tears in their eyes. Let me be clear, there is nothing the staff can do about this. How can you as a company leave these people to their fate?

Eating there will not be repeated. The vegetarian satay was honestly inedible. Poor structure, no bite, weak bite with mountain of satay sauce. It wasn't clear what it was now. Not really warm either. The veggie chicken burger was decent. But unfortunately on white factory roll without taste. In short, not a pleasant experience. Give n 3 as a rating for the vegetarian satay. A 6 for the veggie chicken burger. The price-quality ratio is not in balance. Way too expensive for the quality.

Waiting for hours while you are the only one in there, the lady is only busy with colleagues instead of cleaning up your empty glass they just leave it there. Doesn't come to the table to even ask if you want to order anything Drama never again!

Together with a group of friends we ate here for the 2nd time, this time a 3 course menu. All starters, mains and desserts were great. Highly recommended to come back here.

Delicious meal with a large group!

Had dinner yesterday with a large group. Everything came smoothly, at the same time and looked good. And that's how it tasted! Service was adequate and friendly. The right mix between not being at your table all the time, but also not having to sit at the table for a long time with an empty glass.

Visited the Beren in Bleiswijk for the first time in years after I saw that it was under new management and that Tuesday evening was spare ribs evening for 15 euros. The inexperience or lack of training of the waiting staff was evident, the bread starter came to the table without cutlery so had to ask for a knife to cut the bread. The spare ribs were served with the tiniest salad I have ever seen and I had to ask for something to clean my fingers with later, rather than having it given with the food. When the bill was presented I had been charged the unlimited spare ribs at 19.95 instead of the Tuesday evening price of 15, and wasn't even asked if I wanted any more spare ribs during the meal! Not quite what I expected.

1 word! Disappointing! Came on a quiet day to have a drink outside in the sun. Two girls were too busy with each other while the entire terrace was still full of tables of guests who had already left. There was dirt everywhere on the floor. When we left we wanted to pay but the girls were having lunch together and said that if all went well there was another colleague inside. We couldn't find this, not even in the kitchen. Then we went outside again and with a deep sigh asked someone to pay. Never again!

Unfortunately a disappointing experience. We had to wait a whopping 1 hour for our starter, and when it finally came, we got a bowl of nachos with barely any toppings – and that for €9.50? It then took another 45 minutes for the main course to arrive, and to our surprise we received a cold, raw veggie burger. Fortunately the service was friendly, but that could not make up for the poor service and quality of the food. This case does not do justice to De Beren's name. Shame!

Had a bite to eat last Saturday. Unfortunately still not good, cold Spare Ribs and after indicating, a new portion, also cold!! And not just a little, but really cold inside! The staff can hardly smile, so you almost feel ashamed to approach them to order something. Very unfortunate... because the taste of the spareribs was not bad. Very little and the salad wasn't very good either.

Delicious food. The powder keg deal that I had purchased for the first time gave me some uncertainty because I had only received the codes via email and the restaurant asked for the vouchers. Fortunately, I had printed out the email traffic from Kruitkeg and brought it with me. Something like that gives you a begging feeling.

Had dinner here with two people on a Tuesday evening. Friendly service. It took a while before the order was taken and it took 45 minutes before the starter was brought, after which the next dishes arrived quickly. You notice in everything that cuts need to be made. Portions are no longer what they used to be, menus full of folds and tears. Our first entree was lukewarm. Main course chicken satay, actually 4 pieces of prawn crackers from a bag. 3 skewers of satay, where the peanut sauce only covered 2 skewers and that was it. Fries in two small bowls. All in all a decline. The taste was fine and the decor nice.

The Bears has always been known for serving reasonable food at a reasonable price. In many cases the food has not improved, but the prices... There is a play area upstairs for the children, but that is at the expense of the atmosphere. But hey, you're also with children, so maybe it's part of it.

We had to pay €2 for the satay sauce on the pork tenderloin satay and €1.50 for a free sandwich, which is served as a side dish with the menu. After I indicated this at the cash register, the €1.50 was removed, but we simply had to pay the €2 for the satay sauce for the satay menu. Even though you can be so friendly as a waiter and do your best, this still leaves an unpleasant aftertaste.

Have something to eat with the kids. Toasti was just ok. Loaded nachos with extra pulled Chicken were far below par. An average chip bag has more content and the pulled chicken costs 2.5 euros extra, but you really had to look for the chicken. This will cost 12 euros. We indicate this to the service, who does not really respond. Oh I'm going to pass it on. But heard nothing after that. Feedback or compensation would have sent us home with a more positive feeling. So I would not recommend this address.

Food is very tasty, unfortunately the service was lacking. Many empty glasses/bottles that are not taken away immediately, food/drinks are not neatly placed but indicated to be passed on.
