Mediocre lunch, expected something better. Great location though.

My boyfriend and I came here to have a drink. A week later we returned and we had a nice walk in the woods. Personnel is regular friendly and the food was definitely not bad for the price. My boyfriend and I had a lovely time. And as typical Dutch: we finished with a cup of coffee.

A great location for a nice meal. The meat was delicious, as was the rest of the food. I highly recommend it to others.

You'll be greeted at the entrance and seated at a table. The service is very friendly and efficient, and they keep an eye on the customers even after serving. The food is excellent, the atmosphere is great, and there's a lovely view of the park and water feature (in the distance). There's some playground equipment on the lawn in front of the terrace.

Just been to Zeeltje. We were completely ignored. No greeting. The waitress must have seen us. She went to clear our table. Okay, that's possible. Then she went to other guests who arrived much later. Apparently, they were regulars. After waiting another fifteen minutes, we left. Very strange?? Even though it wasn't busy at all??? We had good, fast, and friendly service at another restaurant before, and it was much busier there. So, it's possible!

What a lovely restaurant this is, with a beautiful view. Combined with delicious food and super motivated and skilled staff, we had a wonderful evening with you... We'll definitely do this again.

‘T Zeeltje has always remained Zeeltje apparently. Years ago I came here to my satisfaction. They are still very good and very affordable. Also very cozy decorated.

We come here every year, always good food! We have a daughter with autism, and shortened leg muscles which makes her stamp a bit when she walks on the wooden floor. Not the staff who helped us at the table but from another table found it necessary to talk about our daughter to other colleagues that our daughter was annoying, she was addressed by another colleague... we heard that she was annoying and another colleague said that she wanted to hit her. It ruined the atmosphere at that moment and the family immediately never wanted to eat here again. (It later turned out that she did not want to hit our daughter, but the colleague who made the comment about our daughter) Too bad the food is good, the girl who helped us super friendly and sweet. And she may find our daughter annoying but make sure that we as customers do not notice it. And it was a one-time thing that she did, she copied someone from the family because we asked her to do so... it's not like she was constantly running through the place, we find this inappropriate ourselves, you have to take other customers into account. Too bad we got it, but the colleague in question is gone, we won't come back. The stars we give the food and the service are certainly for the chef and the girl who helped us at the table, the atmosphere a zero because of the incident. We were with 9 people and don't drink alcohol, we came to eat at 5 o'clock... not in an overcrowded place.

What a nice place. Hospitable staff, fast service and nice ambiance. Enough places in the shade. My omelette was also delicious.

Today we had a lovely walk with my girlfriend and my dog. We felt like having a drink on the terrace. We found a place to sit, gave the dog my own bowl of water and chew bone, and of course he was on a leash so he couldn't go anywhere. It took a while before the service arrived, but eventually a young lady came and told us that we had to leave the terrace because of the wet dog. Seriously, the dog was already half dried up and couldn't get to anyone. What a terribly animal-unfriendly shop this is. So beautifully situated, great for walkers and dogs. Ridiculous that they have this policy. You can expect that from a restaurant with stars.

Nice to have lunch. The lunch was delicious and the staff was friendly and fast. The only disadvantage I find is that animals are allowed in the restaurant. I personally find this unhygienic and for people with an allergy this is also not pleasant. I do not have this myself but I can imagine that people consider not going in.

Generally good food. Service was a bit grumpy and curt and very directive. Several tables outside where no reservation was shown, but apparently there was still no space. Reasonable prices. Would not come here again in a hurry. Nice place to walk the dog. Free parking.

Have eaten there twice now (2023 and 2024) and both times I was bothered by the distant and disinterested behavior of the employees. May 13, 2025 again, the atmosphere was much better now! Nice employees, pleasant service. What a difference from previous times!

Last time I went to eat with my mother and sisters. Service was curt and little appearance of being happy with the customers. I cancelled a reservation because of this experience. Had a lovely meal here with friends, Food was good and for a fair price. Staff was very friendly. After dinner we went for a walk. 't Zeeltje is very nicely situated right on the water and a beautiful park.

The spareribs were super tender and deliciously marinated. The staff is super friendly and attentive. And also have the catering humor 👍👍👍 The lady blanch was a bit disappointing. As a tip, I would say put the warm sauce separately in a small jug so that people can determine the amount of sauce themselves instead of having sauce with ice. Keep it up great guys, it's a top tent.

Had a lovely Easter lunch here on the outdoor terrace with new furniture, the service and the food and drinks were again of a high standard, I enjoyed it with the family 👍

extremely rude to people of colors: I organized a dinner here for my colleagues, visiting from other countries. The waitress really behaved rude with us, especially with me. I have no idea what was wrong with her. She Took a wrong order and instead of apologizing, blamed me that we I didn’t order it properly. Never again, and will make sure none from my company do the same mistake.

Nice place, friendly staff and tasty dishes. The beautiful location makes you forget that you are actually in a dated building. Lots of (walking/sports) people, which gives it a pleasant atmosphere.

Delicious late Sunday lunch on the terrace! We were a group of 7 and 2 dogs and were allowed to push 2 tables together despite the crowds. We were very welcome, a 10 for the service, nice, easy-going ladies, no young puppies that you see almost everywhere nowadays, but ladies with brains and heart for the business. The food was top notch and good value for money, compliments for that. Nowadays you don't often find catering establishments with a 'normal' lunch menu where you actually want to eat everything at once! If you are looking for a nice affordable and hospitable catering place after a walk at the Rottemeren or Zevenhuizerplas, I would definitely go here! Recommended!

You can always have a delicious lunch there. The prices are also attractive, especially for the large portions and quality. It is often a chicken coop in terms of space and number of guests, but good for business of course.

After a nice walk through the Bleiswijkse Zoom and along the Rotte, we enjoyed a delicious lunch here. Been here before. I had dinner here and enjoyed a drink on the terrace after a nice walk with the dog. Mini golf is possible. Nice terrace with fantastic views. If you want to be sure of a table, I would make a reservation. Clean toilets. Back to lunch: delicious curry soup (which could have been a little warmer, but really tasty). Bread roll with fricandeau on delicious brown bread (white is also possible) with a fresh salad. Just a good portion of salad, not a bitch. Was quite busy for a Tuesday. Friendly service who also stops by to ask if everything is to your liking. We will definitely come back... after a nice walk 😋🚶🏼‍♂️‍➡️🚶‍♀️‍➡️🌳

Food is delicious. Service very nice, friendly and alert. We sat in the conservatory and although it was not terribly busy on a Wednesday evening, the noise around us was quite loud. That will have more to do with the acoustics than with the people present.

Food was good. Didn't order anything special. Fries with cury peanut and onions and tempura shrimp. Service was ok. I did receive a glass with napkins that were completely covered in spider webs. That's why food only gets 3 stars. Felt mild disgust. I had already finished my food. It reminded me of hygiene within the restaurant. Beautiful terrace and surroundings. Children playing on the lawn next to it. Lake with a bench. Oh yes; dogs are not allowed in the restaurant. They must be kept on a leash outside. I don't have a dog myself, so I will never have a problem with that. but there was a heated argument between a waitress and someone who wanted to come in for something to eat/drink. Even swearing. Really antisocial. Both the visitor and the waitress. As a waitress you really can't be so rude to visitors and you MUST remain professional. Doesn't matter what's said. You keep yourself calm and neat and do not engage in discussions. That's why I gave fewer stars. Came to sit down for some rest. Until all hell broke out. Nice then!

The first coffee and tea arrived quickly, but after that it quickly stopped. Forgot to put the ordered shrimps in the fryer (quite essential). It was a very boring and greasy meal, too bad! While we sat on the terrace with empty glasses, we were not once asked if we wanted anything by all three employees who were reluctantly drying tables. I'll know better next time :)

When we visit family in Rotterdam, we regularly have lunch at 't Zeeltje. We have been there again now. We like to have a hot meat sandwich, delicious. I don't understand how they can do this for that price, because elsewhere we pay euro 11.50 for a mediocre croquette sandwich. It is always pleasant there and the staff is very friendly. Of course, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I sometimes wonder what the real cause of a negative review is. We hope that this beautiful customer-friendly company will continue to exist for a long time and when we are in Rotterdam we will be happy to visit it.

There is a cozy restaurant T Zeeltje in a wooded area near the Rotte. Delicious carpaccio on bread, strawberry sundae and whipped cream. And finally the latte machiato. You can sit inside, but when the weather is nice there is a spacious terrace with parasols. There is a flight path to Rotterdam airport, so a plane passes over regularly. You can park well there and it is free, but disabled people have to walk a bit. You can also store your bicycle there.

What a wonderful tent with a very friendly and hospitable owner. Have been coming here for years and have never been disappointed. With or without a dog, we are always welcomed as guests and all the food is delicious, especially the pancakes. Great business.

Wij kwamen speciaal uit Capelle aan den IJssel om met onze hond te wandelen in Bleiswijk, wij wilden eerst gaan lunchen nu de hond nog schoon was en liepen vanaf de parkeerplaats naar het restaurant, het regende dus onze hond werd een beetje nat op haar rug, de dame die er bij binnenkomst stond riep vanaf een afstand gelijk al dat we niet naar binnen mochten met een natte hond, ik kan het me voorstellen als een hond net uit het water komt maar dit was alleen een beetje regen, zelfs haar pootjes waren nog schoon, wij komen hier dan ook nooit meer !

Menu differs from website and what is served. Tournedos fine, chicken satay okay, desserts not special or disappointing (unlike card dame blanche, not with warm chocolate sauce).

Ik wilde graag wat drinken en mijn oudere hond even rusten. Zo nu en dan regende het een beetje dus we waren een klein beetje nat. Ik loop het terras op waar een dame een parasol aan het opdraaien was. Gelijk kreeg ik te horen dat een natte hond niet naar binnen mocht. Ik bied nog netjes aan om buiten onder de parasol te gaan zitten maar die mocht ook niet uitgedraaid. Met andere woorden u mag hier niet zitten. Ga dus vooral niet in Bleiswijk naar het Zeeltje als u een hond bij u heeft. Baggerschoenen is geen probleem. Personeel zou iets vriendelijker mogen zijn maar ik weet niet of ze altijd het humeur hebben wat ik gezien heb. Best vreemd dat je in een hondenuitlaatgebied zit en geen honden in je restaurant wil.

Spontaneously came here to eat, the first time was years ago. It has a cozy terrace with a view of the greenery and the lake in the distance, there is a small playground, the location is great. But I did not find the loud arguing of the staff with children in the playground and complaining about this to guests not entirely professional and contributing to a pleasant atmosphere. The two vegetarian dishes were actually very tasty, but the stuffed zucchini contained far too much pepper and lacked sufficient body as a grain. It was pure zucchini stuffed with some veggies and cheese and not filling enough to satisfy the craving. The freekeh salad that was served - neatly informed in advance - instead of the lentils was also very tasty, but should have been cooked a little longer. At these points there is a place to return to in sunny weather.

Mijn man en ik gingen vandaag een heerlijke wandeling maken met ons hondje. We hadden erg zin om bij het Zeeltje te zitten, wat we in het verleden vaker gedaan hebben. Honden zijn welkom, mits ze niet nat zijn. Het weer was droog, met een beetje zon. Het heeft wel aardig wat geregend, dus de grond is wel nattig. Onze hond was droog, maar met vochtige pootjes en buikje waar wat zand aan zat. De jongedame wilde geen zand op de grond, zei ze. Onze hond was er niet erger aan toe dan wij Met onze grove wandelschoenen en de zolen, die nattig zijn, viezig met zand en aarde, want daar blijft alles goed tussen zitten. Ons hondje mocht niet naar binnen. Wij gaan hier niet meer naar toe, als je elke keer niet weet of je hond wel of niet wordt toegelaten. Een foto is bijgestuurd van hoe ze er op dat moment uitzag. Wel jammer. Het Zeeltje krijgt toch 2 sterren, omdat we in het verleden goed hebben kunnen zitten daar, ook al was ons hondje ook best vochtig aan haar onderkant.

Lekker gegeten. Bediening is vlot, misschien iets te snel met afruimen. Een van de tafelgenoten was echt net klaar met eten en de tafel werd al afgeruimd. Erg? Nee, maar het voelt wat haastig. Dat hoeft niet in de weg te staan om lekker te gaan eten.

Zo jammer dat er zo zeikerig gedaan wordt wanneer je met je hond naar binnen wil. Zeg dan gewoon dat honden niet zijn toegestaan. Dat scheelt mij weer veel poetswerk om daarna alsnog te horen dat ie te vies is. Komt niet erg gastvrij over.

Top restaurant. Altijd mooie gerechten die perfect zijn bereid. Attente bediening en een gezellige sfeer. We aten sliptong, kalfsukade, ossenhaas en schnitzel.

Ik ben nog nooit zo ontvangen in een zaak in een bos. Onze pup had door het gras gelopen en was volgens de hostess drijfnat en mocht niet binnen komen (onzin, één servetje had het verschil gemaakt). Ik zal nooit meer hier naar binnen gaan. Daarna gelijk naar Lakehouse gegaan, een zaak van veel hoger niveau en daar kunnen honden gewoon naar binnen!
