Had a delicious meal on July 31st, my birthday; it was very tasty. We couldn't go to Austria, so this was a bit closer. Service was good/friendly, took the time for a chat. We will definitely be back.. It was very tasty, we got plenty, which is also nice when you eat meat there, that portions aren't too small. I could barely finish it. Edelweiss, a rare flower threatened with extinction. And the same applies to refined Austrian cuisine. A schnitzel is different from a Wiener Schnitzel (made from veal). Preparing it is an art: veal, egg, and breadcrumbs. Well-oiled, the breading separates from the meat, revealing a light coating. Here in Berkel, that is well understood; to be continued.

I dined here last night. Unfortunately, there are no vegan options on the menu. Vegetarian options, though. I ate the wild mushroom risotto without cheese and cream. It was tasty, but if the restaurant had had plant-based Parmesan and cream in stock (AH is right next door), it would have been even better. Vegan cashew cheese fondue would fit nicely on the menu. The only dish offered for dessert was passion fruit sorbet. And that wasn't even garnished with any fresh fruit. There is room for modernization and improvement here.

We had lunch here. We had flammkuchen and carpaccio, which were delicious. I found the crispy chicken sourdough bread rather dry. We had a pleasant meal, and the staff was friendly.

Edelweiss is a wonderfully charming and welcoming restaurant. The atmosphere is utterly Austrian: warm decor, a cozy ambiance, and staff dressed in traditional Austrian attire. The food is delicious and clearly prepared with care. The service is friendly, attentive, and well-organized. In good weather, it's also wonderful to sit outside, which makes the experience even more appealing. We will definitely be back.

The two of us went for the first time on a Wednesday. What a fantastic place!! A lovely atmosphere, nice music in the background, good lighting, and where we were seated, which was right in the middle. I wouldn't want to sit on the sofa, because... from what I saw, the spotlights were shining on the table above you... I personally hate that. But we had a great spot!! The staff was super friendly!! Very clean. We ordered a sandwich with spread as a starter. Honestly, I thought it took quite a while. But it was presented beautifully! Fresh bread and delicious spreads. Then we ordered a bottle of Merlot, my husband a schnitzel, and I the satay. The wine was constantly being poured for us, wow, fantastic service!! Honestly, a compliment!!! The food was delicious. Served with a salad and delicious fries with mayo!! When we asked for some extra fries, it was no problem. We also got mayonnaise without asking. I liked my satay, but there was really very little satay sauce on it. It wasn't a problem when I asked for extra satay sauce, which I got in a generous jug. It was a shame, though, that we later found out you pay €1.50 extra for it. Hmm, I thought that was a bit of a cop-out...it really should have been included with my main course: satay with peanut sauce. My husband's schnitzel was absolutely delicious...nothing to complain about. Now, I have to say that I'm not looking for just anything to criticize. I post my honest review everywhere, good or not. For dessert, we ordered...I don't remember what it's called. Loaded...it was a scoop of ice cream with chunks of thick pancake. It was really delicious. When we got loaded, we thought it was the chocolate sauce...we did ask for a little extra. Then, with that extra chocolate sauce, our dessert was excellent!!!! Sharing this between the two of us was a great idea!! All in all...I would definitely come back. If I were to order the satay again, I would immediately ask for plenty of satay sauce. Had a lovely lunch, but I have to say I find the price for a salad rather high. I know everything has gotten more expensive, but I think this is a bit too high. It was tasty, but I don't think it was worth it. The atmosphere is excellent, and the service is too!

Cozy "Austrian" restaurant. The service was quick, the food hot and tasty. Schnitzel as it should be. Cordon Bleu excellent.

Nice German restaurant in the center, plenty of outdoor seating but also indoor seating. You can definitely enjoy the sun with pleasant food and drinks if the weather is decent. Staff are friendly and helpful, they respond fast and well. Food is also good with schnitzel on the menu every Thursday night, which is unique. One of the chill restaurants in Berkel center, you can go shopping at Albert Heijn which is just next door after meal.

There was no apple strudel, that's what we came for

We have to eat schnitzel here sometime! There's no other way than it has to be tasty... But that wasn't the case. Rarely have I eaten such a dry/tough and tasteless schnitzel. Cordon bleu wasn't much better. Shame! The price for the bread in advance is way over the top. Almost 4 euros per person for two small, hard pieces of bread strung on a spoon in a stone. We will go again for the cheese fondue, but this was quite disappointing…

Had a nice lunch here with my mother the other day. A nice coffee and a farmers tosti. Great flavor and nicely made in a pan with egg coating. Was sublime! The manager actively waits on tables just like the rest of the staff and everyone was kind, smiling and appeared to have a good time. The only minor downside is (when sitting outside) the constant influx of shoppers going into and out of the Albert Heijn, but that might be a bit nit picky!

Service is somewhat disinterested. Prices are quite on the high side. Ginger tea consisting of boiling water with about 20 cents worth of ginger slices costs no less than €4.25. Elsewhere you also get a sprig of mint and a slice of orange. In the end I couldn't get rid of the promised extra sprig of mint in my tea. Toilet is dirty and the toilet paper machine did not work. The employee I reported this to did not feel like doing anything about it quickly, so I could not go to the toilet. Not worth repeating

We had a delicious meal during an afternoon visit to Edelweiss. The price-quality ratio was good and the dishes were nicely served. The atmosphere was relaxed and the Italian red wine tasted delicious. The ladies at the service were attentive, fast and very friendly. We will be back, definitely recommended.

Even now that there is a lot of new offer in Berkel, Edelweiss is still a very nice place for me to have a cup of coffee with a friend. Outside if possible - last week in the spring sun - but just as nice inside!

The best Schnitzel I had in the Netherlands!

Maybe I'm biased because we have been coming here for years. Alone, with my family and relatives. In all compositions. Sometimes for just coffee (latte with oat milk), sometimes lunch and sometimes dinner. I always think the atmosphere is great. Friendly and good staff that always makes me feel welcome. The regularly changing menu is also excellent. Austrian classics supplemented with seasonal dishes and excellent vegetarian options. Even the menu for children has been put together with care. You understand that I am a fan. It is advisable to make a reservation because I am not the only fan in Berg and the surrounding area. Also worth the detour.

Nice concept. Super veal schnitzel. It's a bit noisy so you have to like that. Kaiserschmarren were a bit too soft for me.

Creative and nicely decorated business; Austrian winter sports. The quality of the food is standard, but fine. However, price-quality ratio is out of balance. Raclette for 2 persons (including buffet, consisting of simple things such as baguette, salad, fries) including 2 drinks pp. 125 euros including tip. That is very expensive for what you get. Therefore not recommended.

Earlier this year I discovered this real Austrian Stube in the middle of Berkel. I have been there quite a few times now. The atmosphere is great, the service is super friendly and the Flammkuchen is so great that I have had it every time so far, although the rest of the menu is also great. Today the Apple strudel with vanilla sauce and whipped cream has also been completely approved. The coffee is of top quality in all varieties. Great class!

The tasting is highly recommended!!! Delicious lunch. Booked in advance including the lunch tasting. The table was already set for the tasting and we were warmly welcomed. In between, we kept a close eye on whether we needed anything while we were able to have lunch at our leisure.

In one word it was "great" again!! Very friendly service and the food is good and more than enough. When the music was turned up a bit later in the evening, that made it complete!! We will be going back again soon.

Ons vaste stekkie voor een biertje/wijntje in Berkel. Helaas ineens van biermerk veranderd. (Oostenrijks bier)Teruggegeven ( hoefde het bier niet af te rekenen) maar wij moeten verhuizen naar een ander terras met lekkerder bier. Jammer, want het terras is zonnig en gezellig.

Prima locatie, 5 sterren voor alle entiteiten.

Heerlijk gegeten. Goulash soep, vis schitzel en apfelstrudel. De Oostenrijkse wijn heeft een bijzonder verleden.

Leuk restaurantje in het winkel centrum van Berkel en Rodenrijs in Oostenrijkse skihut stijl. Prima service, heerlijke lunch gegeten. Het reserveren is tijdens de lunch ten zeerste aan te raden, want het was er druk. We hadden mazzel dat we nog een tafeltje kregen. Door de drukte is er echter wel een kakefonie van lawaai. En dat vind ik enorm jammer, want het is echt een leuke zaak met heerlijk eten en prima service.

Super gezellig en knus restaurant met vriendelijk personeel. Het eten is normaal ook erg lekker maar de laatste keer was de kaasfondue verre van wat hij 'vroeger' was. T leek nu meer en opgewarmde witte saus met wat kaas erin dan de anders altijd heerlijk romige en draden trekkende kaasfondue. Jammer, want ik kom hier graag.
