Midas Berkel in Wijk 21 Berkel

We had a delicious meal at Midas Berkel last Thursday. We were served nicely by Florian and Tegai. There was plenty of choice of vegetarian dishes on the menu, of which the Asian chicken salad was very good. We will definitely come back again.

Unfortunately, not a good experience. When ordering, I indicated that I wanted a pork tenderloin with pepper sauce. They even asked how I wanted it cooked. So I indicated that I wanted it well-done. When serving, they brought a pork tenderloin satay. After that, I sat waiting for more than 10 minutes, and then I received the pork tenderloin I ordered. But unfortunately, it was raw on the inside. After that, I just asked for the bill. Both dishes were also on the receipt.

The food was delicious and we received excellent service from Florian.

Had a delicious and cozy catching-up lunch with my mom today. Amazing sandwiches, smashed avocado, and a 'gemekker' sandwich. Delicious! Plenty of attention and great service from the brothers Florian and Ruben. A lovely afternoon.

Great lunch and very pleasant and polite staff. One tip though: when serving, place the cutlery down first and then the meal. We both had an omelet, so it was hot, and it's a shame when you have to wait a minute for your cutlery. Otherwise, everything was great!

Had lunch at Midas with a friend for the first time, but it is definitely worth repeating. Ordered the winning sandwich of 2024 and 2026, and both were truly delicious. Good and very friendly service with a great interest in the customer! We will absolutely be back. Compliments!!

It is always really lovely to have lunch here. Large terrace, but it is also cozy inside.

We just walked inside ourselves to indicate that we wanted to be served. And this wasn't the first time that had happened. There was enough staff, but they were busy talking to each other and looking at their phones. The same with paying; no one in sight. So I just walked inside myself as well. It wasn't very busy, otherwise I would have understood.

I hadn't eaten or drunk at Midas before. Where do you still find staff asking not only how it tastes, but also if you had a nice shopping experience and where you're from? I love this! We are big fans of this little place. So far we’ve only had lunch, but we are planning to go for dinner sometime too. The ham and cheese omelette with mushrooms and onion is truly exquisite, as is the carpaccio omelette. The salmon sandwich and the warm brie sandwich are also delicious! And the winning sandwiches, of course!

Today, Wednesday, we enjoyed a delicious lunch on the terrace. It was very busy on the terrace due to the Ibiza market. The young waitstaff were very friendly and came by a few times to ask if everything was to our liking, which is how it should be. The lunch was also very tasty and the portions were good; we had the salad with chicken thigh and the hot meatball. Worth repeating.

We went for High Beer; it was really fun and beautifully presented. We could choose three beers from the menu ourselves and order them per round. First round: tomato soup, second: a tiered stand with cheese, charcuterie, crusty bread, and salad, and third: a choice of cakes and fried snacks. Of course, we chose cakes 😝 It was great!

Our food was not good. Our sauces were switched. My steak was well-done instead of medium, which is what we asked for. Other tables received fries with their meal. When we asked if we had to pay extra for this, they reacted with surprise that we didn't have fries. What a disappointment. Never again.

What an enthusiastic girl. This really made for the whole atmosphere. Nice and cheerful and well-informed about everything. We had Carpaccio as a starter, Steak & the BBQ Chicken Burger as the main course, and a delicious lava cake for dessert. We really enjoyed ourselves. We sat downstairs and were able to communicate easily and quietly with each other. The food was very fresh and truly a delicious taste explosion. This is definitely worth repeating.

I am very pleased with the steak and the delicious wine. I will definitely come back. The only advice I can give is: make sure you have the cutlery on the table beforehand, so you don't have to move extra items around while serving and reduce the chance of forgetting something!

Good food, but an uninviting restaurant

We had a lovely dinner with the children last night; despite the crowds, we were warmly welcomed, and there was a good vibe. The staff were also very helpful and smiled a lot. Hats off to them. Everyone enjoyed their meal, so we definitely plan to come back again soon!

We had a super delicious meal. The triple burger was a solid 10 again!!! My wife had a delicious pork tenderloin with peppercorn sauce! They currently have a nice promotion: 15 euros for most main courses, but you do have to reserve using a kind of password. We had forgotten this, but luckily we were still allowed to use it at CHEF Sjoerd's. Thanks again for the tasty food 👍🏼

Dessert was a coupe of ice cream; everything was delicious. My sister recommended it; she's been here before. We'll definitely be back.

Sat in a pleasant atmosphere, had a delicious meal, nice and attentive service, came by for a nice chat, all in all worth repeating.

The restaurant was half full, but the kitchen couldn't keep up. The friendly waitresses apologized several times for the long wait. The beet carpaccio tasted good, the tomato soup was lukewarm, and the meatballs were missing. The satay was served in a bowl with a rather large amount of sauce, and they forgot the salad. They brought it after we pointed it out. When the kitchen was over, many of the staff went outside to take a breather, and the customers were forgotten. Several tables were left with empty plates of their main courses, and people simply walked to the cash register to pay, without even having dessert or coffee.

Just enjoyed a delicious, well-filled goat cheese salad. Lovely terrace, friendly service, and great that there are plenty of vegetarian options on the menu. Highly recommended!

A lovely spot for lunch and dinner in Berkel. We sat on the terrace on a warm evening. It gets hot quickly then, but it was perfectly bearable. The food was excellent and the service friendly. Highly recommended.

The food was excellent! Compliments to the chef! However, I found the atmosphere a bit lacking. The staff were chatting loudly about private matters in the restaurant. This was very disruptive and distracting. My advice would be to avoid this. People spend quite a bit of money to enjoy a meal. Try to find a spot where you're out of the spotlight and a bit quieter.

We were helped fairly quickly by the waitress (a plump, brown-haired woman). My order was also served fairly quickly. After dinner, the empty plates weren't cleared. It was noticeable that this wasn't done for the other tables either. This was disappointing. Inside, I also saw that most tables were empty, so there wasn't a plausible reason for that. We wanted to order something else, but since we'd already been waiting for 45 minutes, we just paid. When I told the waitress, a plump, brown-haired woman, that I was disappointed that the plates weren't cleared, she reacted nonverbally with aggrievedness and didn't apologize.

Just ate here at table 54. We arrived at noon. A friendly lady helped us, ordered coffee and a cassis. It arrived quite quickly. We also ordered our food, see photo. We had to wait over 50 minutes for lunch. We weren't kept informed, and even after asking where our food was, there was no response. Other people who arrived later and also ordered food received it quite quickly. We finally got our food. The taste was good and the quantity was good. We then ordered drinks again, but they didn't arrive either. We decided to pay and told them we hadn't received the cassis and water, even though the computer was showing a problem. The young man was busy trying to get it out, which he didn't manage until after 5 minutes. The food itself was good, but the rest wasn't. Unfortunately.

The portions are large, but not particularly flavorful. The spareribs were a bit tough and didn't come off the bone easily. We were a bit disappointed with the atmosphere. It was a Saturday evening and only one other table was occupied. The service was good, attentive and polite.

Tastiest sandwich in the Netherlands, well that's not entirely true!! Sandwich wet, meat not really warm and the egg soggy and wet and not as expected. It's a real shame that we won't be going back after eating here for the second time.

We had a very pleasant evening here. The price-quality ratio is good and when there were fewer customers, Luna came to serve us. A comedian in the making, we laughed so much. This made the evening even more fun. The food was tasty but in my opinion it had too much sauce, both on the carpaccio and on the spareribs. Too bad this brings the taste down in my opinion.

We hebben hier met twee tennisteams prima gegeten. Ruime menukeus, ook voor vegetariërs en veganisten, en met speciale wensen kon flexibel rekening worden gehouden. Smakelijke en smaakvol opgediende gerechten. Ook ruime keus op de drankenkaart. Attente en vriendelijke bediening. De rekening viel mee. Ik zie nog twee verbeterpunten: op de menukaart ontbraken de keuzemenu’s goud-zilver-brons (die staan op een aparte kaart, die niet op de tafels ligt) en op de bovenetage was de ventilatie te goed/fris. Midas is dus zeker een aanrader, niet alleen voor een (broodjes)lunch maar ook voor een plezierig diner.

First beautiful day of the year sat on the terrace. Wine in dirty, dirty glasses. Had nachos and chicken pops. Great to eat. However, the staff had absolutely no idea that a napkin or fork would be useful. Tables were still dirty from the previous guests. In short. Not really suitable for sitting comfortably.

Cozy tent and nice waitresses. Enjoy a smoothie there. The owner has a nice chat with you and is always interested. You get enough on your plate and the food tastes great.

I sometimes sat on the terrace in the summer, but now had a cup of coffee inside. What do you mean €6.50 for a small piece of pastry served on a large plate? Not a normal price for such a portion. Not a pleasant atmosphere at all and very messy. ATM also leaves much to be desired. Seems to be known, then do something about it.

Delicious food, more than value for money

Visited for lunch for the first time. Pretty good Google Maps reviews, so that can't be faulty (we hoped) “Tastiest sandwich in the Netherlands” was advertised outside. Looked nice, so I took it. You would expect that when you enter a virtually customer-less restaurant, you will be greeted and indicated “for lunch”. You will soon receive a menu card. No, we eventually got it from the service table ourselves... once you had a card, it was quickly selected for the recording. Management did not notice that we had to look for the menu ourselves. (So ​​no excuse for non-service until then) (there's more) Ordered “The tastiest sandwich in the Netherlands”. “Beef teriyaki 2.0”. Beautifully served on a board. But then unfortunately it didn't make me happy (sandwich for €15.50). The pieces of meat are barely fried. Think 1mm deep, and red and tough meat inside. It was impossible to chew, I had to cut it otherwise I couldn't get rid of it. I suspect frozen in a pan 'fried'. Furthermore, the fried egg roll, clearly visible in the photo, was missing, and no seeds on the bread as shown in the advertising photo outside. Too bad, even with money I don't need another sandwich like that. I liked the chicken burger better, although the chicken of the chicken burger came from a deep fryer, it was tender and had a crispy crust. It came with fries and a bowl of majo. The fresh mint tea was perceived as rather small (narrow-minded). (A €4.25) The case consists of 2 layers, from the 2nd layer which is open as a kind of gallery, so you can easily look at someone's plate/table, telephone, etc. I would certainly not recommend this at the bottom of the front (in the bowl). It also feels somewhat oppressive, a bit like a mini theater with multiple layers, with you on stage. Also because you sit close to the door and an exuberant customer leaves the door open for a very long time when bringing in/calling acquaintances (and that happened). There is no double door and/or wind curtain. So a lot of cold wind when the place is just filling up or emptying _in the middle of winter_. Good. Hopefully others' experience will be more positive, I am also happy to leave a positive review, but only if it matches experience.

Het restaurant was vies, personeel was ongeïnteresseerd en ongeschoold, de biefstukken hebben we twee keer teruggestuurd (veel te doorbakken), we moesten 5 kwartier wachten op het hoofdgerecht, keukenpersoneel droeg geen handschoenen, er kon geen excuus vanaf. Er was geen leidinggevende. Uiteindelijk nog wel een kleine korting gekregen, maar ook bijna niets gegeten. Al met al zonde van onze avond.
