Great cafe. You are on the shopping street so that takes away from the atmosphere, but that should not spoil the fun.

Disclaimer.. didn't eat anything but drank a delicious coffee. Hence the 5 stars. Nice place, cheerful service. Great price for their coffee. All in all a very good experience.

Tastiest sandwich in the Netherlands, well that's not entirely true!! Sandwich wet, meat not really warm and the egg soggy and wet and not as expected. It's a real shame that we won't be going back after eating here for the second time.

We had a very pleasant evening here. The price-quality ratio is good and when there were fewer customers, Luna came to serve us. A comedian in the making, we laughed so much. This made the evening even more fun. The food was tasty but in my opinion it had too much sauce, both on the carpaccio and on the spareribs. Too bad this brings the taste down in my opinion.

We hebben hier met twee tennisteams prima gegeten. Ruime menukeus, ook voor vegetariërs en veganisten, en met speciale wensen kon flexibel rekening worden gehouden. Smakelijke en smaakvol opgediende gerechten. Ook ruime keus op de drankenkaart. Attente en vriendelijke bediening. De rekening viel mee. Ik zie nog twee verbeterpunten: op de menukaart ontbraken de keuzemenu’s goud-zilver-brons (die staan op een aparte kaart, die niet op de tafels ligt) en op de bovenetage was de ventilatie te goed/fris. Midas is dus zeker een aanrader, niet alleen voor een (broodjes)lunch maar ook voor een plezierig diner.

First beautiful day of the year sat on the terrace. Wine in dirty, dirty glasses. Had nachos and chicken pops. Great to eat. However, the staff had absolutely no idea that a napkin or fork would be useful. Tables were still dirty from the previous guests. In short. Not really suitable for sitting comfortably.

Cozy tent and nice waitresses. Enjoy a smoothie there. The owner has a nice chat with you and is always interested. You get enough on your plate and the food tastes great.

I sometimes sat on the terrace in the summer, but now had a cup of coffee inside. What do you mean €6.50 for a small piece of pastry served on a large plate? Not a normal price for such a portion. Not a pleasant atmosphere at all and very messy. ATM also leaves much to be desired. Seems to be known, then do something about it.

Delicious food, more than value for money

Visited for lunch for the first time. Pretty good Google Maps reviews, so that can't be faulty (we hoped) “Tastiest sandwich in the Netherlands” was advertised outside. Looked nice, so I took it. You would expect that when you enter a virtually customer-less restaurant, you will be greeted and indicated “for lunch”. You will soon receive a menu card. No, we eventually got it from the service table ourselves... once you had a card, it was quickly selected for the recording. Management did not notice that we had to look for the menu ourselves. (So ​​no excuse for non-service until then) (there's more) Ordered “The tastiest sandwich in the Netherlands”. “Beef teriyaki 2.0”. Beautifully served on a board. But then unfortunately it didn't make me happy (sandwich for €15.50). The pieces of meat are barely fried. Think 1mm deep, and red and tough meat inside. It was impossible to chew, I had to cut it otherwise I couldn't get rid of it. I suspect frozen in a pan 'fried'. Furthermore, the fried egg roll, clearly visible in the photo, was missing, and no seeds on the bread as shown in the advertising photo outside. Too bad, even with money I don't need another sandwich like that. I liked the chicken burger better, although the chicken of the chicken burger came from a deep fryer, it was tender and had a crispy crust. It came with fries and a bowl of majo. The fresh mint tea was perceived as rather small (narrow-minded). (A €4.25) The case consists of 2 layers, from the 2nd layer which is open as a kind of gallery, so you can easily look at someone's plate/table, telephone, etc. I would certainly not recommend this at the bottom of the front (in the bowl). It also feels somewhat oppressive, a bit like a mini theater with multiple layers, with you on stage. Also because you sit close to the door and an exuberant customer leaves the door open for a very long time when bringing in/calling acquaintances (and that happened). There is no double door and/or wind curtain. So a lot of cold wind when the place is just filling up or emptying _in the middle of winter_. Good. Hopefully others' experience will be more positive, I am also happy to leave a positive review, but only if it matches experience.

Het restaurant was vies, personeel was ongeïnteresseerd en ongeschoold, de biefstukken hebben we twee keer teruggestuurd (veel te doorbakken), we moesten 5 kwartier wachten op het hoofdgerecht, keukenpersoneel droeg geen handschoenen, er kon geen excuus vanaf. Er was geen leidinggevende. Uiteindelijk nog wel een kleine korting gekregen, maar ook bijna niets gegeten. Al met al zonde van onze avond.

I had made a reservation for a high tea with friends. I had called in advance about my nut allergy. The kitchen manager's response disappointed me. It could not be taken into account and everything was put on the same shelf. It was the same during high tea. Despite the phone call, pine nuts were put on the carpaccio and the sandwich with nuts was next to the sandwich without nuts. Too bad they couldn't be taken into account. Furthermore, we had a delicious meal and it was certainly not the fault of the other staff! Those were great!

Nice, cozy terrace with tasty lunch dishes for a nice price. The staff was friendly and fast. The food was also prepared quickly and was on the table quickly. There is ample parking nearby.

Had loaded fries deluxe, really the weirdest flavor combinations we've ever had. Really not nice. Indicated at service, nothing could be done. As a service, it would have at least been nice if we didn't have to pay for the dish, since we left it in its entirety.

Good food, atmosphere could be better. After having eaten several times at Midas Berkel, staff is in a hurry and has very little time. Structurally too few staff unfortunately. As a guest you do not feel welcome and have to ask something every time because the service is too busy. We sat on the 4-person sofa downstairs, so you are almost in the kitchen and it is very messy in terms of noise and items such as crates of beer and oxygen bottles. Staff does their best, but simply does not have enough time for everything. You notice this as a guest and unfortunately it does not give a good feeling. Shame

Had lunch here with my mother and uncle last Sunday. The avocado sandwiches were very tasty. We also ordered dessert. I haven't eaten such a delicious dessert anywhere yet; the lava cake was delicious! The service was satisfactory, smooth and tidy.

Been twice now, once for a pastry with coffee and once to order a sandwich with a pastry. Had a delicious meal both times. For the price you get a well-filled sandwich and a delicious pastry. It is nicer (in my opinion) to have honey with mint tea, instead of sugar. You also get a small cookie with your coffee.

After a terribly disappointing Easter brunch, the owner called me to apologize that things had turned out this way because there were few qualified staff on the floor at that time. A voucher would then be sent to my address as compensation. Unfortunately, the latter never happened and we therefore had a less than mediocre brunch for a lot of money, after which many words but unfortunately no action. Shame.

Dear Midas, I had to think about it for a while, but I'm going to write a piece about it anyway. While looking for a place to eat in Berkel, I came across Midas. A quick and tasty meal p Sunday evening (4/28/2024) ....... Upon entering, we were asked if we had made a reservation, and I had. Nobody knew anything...... (6:30 PM) We were then assigned a table at the entrance to the kitchen for 4 people. Looked great, also nice to have a view of the kitchen. Received a card and ordered drinks and a little later the order. And that's where the trouble started... (6:45 p.m.) The chef in the kitchen asks the waiter (rather unfriendly) if they can enter orders a little slower. Apparently busy... To give you a picture, downstairs there are 2 tables with 4 people and 1 table with 5 people. And above a group of 6 and 8 people. In addition, +/- 8 tables empty.... (7:15 PM) While there are 4 people, I am offered 1 drink because it takes longer...... (7:30 PM) I would like to speak to the chef, because we only have main courses and whether she knew how long it would take. Then I get the full wind that she is busy with two groups. And then she ignores me. Groups?? Case almost empty..., but anyway... Food is coming, first collect all the glasses from 2 rounds.... (20:10) Paid for all drinks, because the service agreed with the bad behavior. Despite that, I still tipped the wait staff.... In short,... a word to the owner of the business, because I don't really want to lose your staff. Ensure correct management in your business or provide kitchen staff who can handle a full business, which was not even the case here in terms of staffing, not by a long shot. As for the food,... lukewarm... (the teriyaki 2.0) meat was cut too much, so it could cool down, which is a shame. And the Spare Ribs were terribly salty...... In short, we will never come back!

My experience is bad soup cold steak raw and cold and the ice cream was custard very thawed. We were 9 people.

NK 2024 tastiest sandwich definitely recommended. Tender meat, sauces really delicious. Everything is correct. The vegetarian piri piri chicken is also very tasty. Super friendly service.

We were sitting on the terrace when we decided to sit inside. It got chilly. Once inside, I saw how dirty the place was! Dust everywhere, crates everywhere, the open kitchen was dirty and messy, there were mouse droppings and the cake display was really rancid! We were actually able to leave. Unfortunately we had already ordered. The food was okay, but because everything was so dirty, we didn't enjoy our meal. A shame for such a nice business!

Very good beef teriyaki 2.0 sandwich, I had it delivered. It was just warm and the bread was deliciously fresh. Can't say anything other than that you deserve a big 10. 👌🏼

We hadden gereserveerd, maar werden boven ingedeeld terwijl beneden voldoende ruimte was. Uiteindelijk konden we toch beneden zitten. Het viel op dat het smoezelig was en ongeïnteresseerd personeel. Toen we zagen hoe een personeelslid met een ronduit smerige handdoek bestek aan het afdrogen was zijn we na 15 minuten vertrokken, in die tussentijd was er ook niemand langsgekomen om bestelling op te nemen.

We made a reservation, and were made to sit on the top deck even though the place was mostly empty inside. We then asked another person if we could sit downstairs, and then she said ok! So we did. 15 mins no one came to us. We walked out. The place was run by a bunch of teenagers and no service etiquettes at all. Plus we saw them clean the cutlery with a dirty cloth, and we were absolutely put off and happy to walk out. Not planning to be there again.

The prices here really don't make sense. I thought I'd read the reviews to find out if it was worth ordering. Then I see a bizarre amount of bad reviews. About the low quality of the food, bland taste and how often they serve and deliver raw chicken. Maybe the Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority should pay a visit here?

First class scammers. Seriously €14 for a salmon sandwich at literally every store in the Netherlands, you pay between €3 and €8. If a simple sandwich with toppings already costs €14, what will a steak cost, €50? We all know about inflation but this is really too ridiculous for words!

In November 2023 hadden wij een heerlijke avond bij Midas Berkel. Zeer vriendelijke personeel, mooie en heerlijk opgemaakte borden, goede service and lekkere smoothies. Helaas was onze ervaring vanavond een stuk minder. De kaart was veranderd. De hamburgers werden kaal op een plastick dienblad met een papier geserveerd zonder iets van een beetje garnering/sla. Het papier plakte helemaal aan je hamburger vast. Zag eruit alsof je bij de Mac Donalds was. Echt heel jammer! In november had alles er supermooi opgediend uitgezien. De prijzen lijken laag, maar dat valt tegen doordat je nu alles los moest bij bestellen. Helaas viel deze keer de bediening ook erg tegen. De Salades werden gelukkig wel op de prachtige borden geserveerd. De salades en hamburger waren lekker en prima te eten. Ik hoop dat Midas hier iets mee gaat doen want wij kwamen hier altijd graag. Voorlopig gaan wij op zoek naar een ander alternatief.

Hoog op ons verlanglijstje stond Midas vanwege het winnen van de wedstrijd 'Het beste broodje'. Het is inderdaad niet zomaar een broodje. De kaart verwijst naar de leveranciers, die blijkbaar met zorg zijn geselecteerd, in ieder geval de bakker en de slager, want brood en vlees zijn fantastisch. Per abuis krijgen wij een wit broodje, in plaats van onze oorspronkelijke voorkeur voor bruin. Dat geeft helemaal niets als ons broodje super smeuïg - en dan heb ik het niet eens over het beleg - blijkt te zijn, enigszins zoals het duurdere biologisch broodje (zuurdesem?). Eigenlijk is het verkleinwoord 'broodje' misplaatst, het is minstens twee maal groter dan het gemiddelde hamburgerbroodje en zo veel lekkerder, niet dat industriële kleffe spul, boordevol broodverbeteraars. Ik herinner mij knapperige sla, fantastisch reepjes vlees, in Japanse stijl gebakken, champignons, een klein Japans omeletje en Japanse mayo. Ik ben ongetwijfeld wat ingrediënten vergeten. Een hele maaltijd op zich. Thuis gekomen eten wij 's avonds een simpele rauwkostschotel, meer is niet nodig. Thee en koffie zijn hier dik in order. Het is behoorlijk druk tijdens de lunch, dat zie je niet al te vaak in ons land, waar een boterham achter de computer de mode is. Lekker informeel, goede sfeer, aardige bediening. Echt een zaak om vaker te bezoeken, dringend aanbevolen!

If you order beef teriyaki and you see that there is half raw chicken on your sandwich after you have almost finished eating, then you are not doing it right in the kitchen! Cozy restaurant in the center of Berkel. Midas recently won an award for the most delicious sandwich in the Netherlands. Of course we have to taste it! The Beef Teriyaki sandwiches are brought out on a board and the presentation looks very appetizing! After the first bites you'll know why this is a winner! The sandwiches are very tasty and very generously filled. The beef is super tender. We come to something that I personally find a downside (but most people probably don't): the sandwich is too much/large. Instead of ending up feeling almost full and taking the last bites with some sort of regret, we felt a bit reluctant to take the last bites because we were so full. We will definitely order a sandwich like this again, but only if we are very hungry, otherwise it would be a shame. Conclusion: it is a richly filled delicious sandwich that you should definitely try!

Have dinner at Midas with your partner on a Saturday evening. Atmosphere is very cozy. We had made a reservation for 7.15 pm. Kitchen closes at 8 p.m. Goes well with starter and main course. We were also asked if we wanted the main course after the nachos platter was picked up. The nacho dish (starter) is delicious. Only served on the paper, the melted cheese ensures that you are also eating paper at some point. This was mentioned to the waitress. "But the boss wants it that way." The teryaki salad gets 5 stars. The truffle hamburger with fries was simply delicious. Delicious homemade lemonade. Worth repeating. Nice location, good parking, wheelchair friendly and very friendly staff. They also have fun with each other.

Van te voren gebeld voor een reservering, goed en aardig geholpen aan de telefoon. Het restaurant ziet er mooi uit, heeft een leuke inrichting. Een hond meenemen is toegestaan en zal goed worden verzorgd! Het eten zelf kwam aardig snel en het was van top kwaliteit, lekker en warm.

Een top reataurant met vriendelijk personeel. Heerlijk gegeten >🍲 De KIPSALON is een aanrader, mmmmm smikkelen geblazen. De trap midden in het restaurant vindt ik een enge object in de ruimte. Dan praat ik voor het personeel want dan is het een grote uitdaging en levensgevaarlijk, als je bedenkt dat je met risico's de trap op moet. Hoe lang blijft dit goed gaan op het gebied van een valpartij of anders. Tijdens onze zit, bijna botsing - bakje patat gevallen - bijna iemand gevallen. Mooie entourage vd ruimte/ theaterstyle Zwart - Bruin - Groen - Goud - Hout - Maïs Geel. Groot buitenterras Nette - grote toiletruimte ( baby aankleedtafel aanwezig! ) Wij zaten op de verhoogde bank bg. Ik miste rugkussens mssn een idee. Voor zowel lunch, diner als een kopje thee met taart, wij komen graag bij Midas. Het personeel is erg vriendelijk, de sfeer zowel binnen als buiten is erg prettig en de gerechten zijn in mijn optiek prima geprijsd. Echt een aanrader!

We hebben hier een fantastische avond gehad ter gelegenheid van een 90ste verjaardag. Het eten was heerlijk en onwijs veel. De bediening was uitstekend. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar

Heerlijke drankjes. Tosti kaas op bruin brood en friet besteld, echter kwam er eerst een medewerker aan met een tosti ham kaas op wit brood. Nadat ik zei dat ik een tosti kaas had besteld op bruin brood, liep hij ineens weg met de tosti zonder wat te zeggen. Erg asociaal, want door gebrek aan communicatie wist ik niet of hij nog terug zou komen. Na een tijdje kwam hij toch terug met een tosti kaas op wit brood, maar dat heb ik wel aangenomen want ik had honger. Het kuipje mayonaise bij de friet was erg karig, maar na vragen om extra mayonaise, bij een medewerker die wel vriendelijk is, dit wel gekregen gelukkig. Heerlijke tosti en goede patat. Echter ben ik vegetariër en het laatste beetje tosti smaakte ineens erg apart en tot mijn verbazing zag ik kleine stukjes ham zitten op de zijkant van mijn stukje tosti en dus ook op de hap die ik al had genomen. De rest gelijk laten liggen en met afrekenen aangegeven dat er stukjes ham op mijn kaas tosti zaten, als vegetariër. Ik heb een excuses gehad en de medewerkster 'zou het gelijk doorgeven aan de keuken'. Ik had er helaas wat meer van verwacht, omdat dit echt heel slordig is en nooit zou mogen gebeuren, maar vegetariërs worden hier helaas niet altijd in begrepen. Puur door de service en de servering zou ik hier niet meer heen gaan, want de sfeer is verder wel goed.

Overheerlijke lunch met vriendelijk,humorvol en behulpzaam personeel voor mijn 91-jarige vader en gehandicapte tante.

Mijn favoriete serveerder is hier recent aangenomen dus ik moet natuurlijk kijken of het eten ook die geweldige service van Sam matched! Prima eten al stond het bier vorige keer niet koud.. maar vandaag gelukkig wel!

Meisje van de bediening stond alleen en de zaak zat vol. Hard werken voor haar, maar wij hebben er niets van gemerkt! Heerlijk gegeten, lekkere smooties en ook de glutenvrije opties waren heerlijk. Zeker een aanrader :)

Goed eten voor een goede prijs, de nachos zijn echt een enorme aanrader! Bediening is echt top, altijd zo enthousiast, vriendelijk en snel. Als het maar even iets langer duurt wordt er gelijk excuses gemaakt. We komen hier graag!

Prijs kwaliteit verhouding vonden wij een minpunt. Bedingen was wel goed en gezellig... Wij hadden de steak en vonden deze qua smaak matig. Mijn zoon had de kipsaté welke hij wel erg goed vond. Ook een min puntje vinden wij dat je alles apart erbij moet bestellen zelf de patat.

Nadat een italiaans-,grieks- en een vis restaurant dicht waren in Berkel en een ander groter restaurant in het centrum helemaal vol geboekt was hier terecht gekomen. Het was onze 5e keur, maar nu zou het mijn 1e keuze zijn!! Zeer lekker eten, gemoedelijke sfeer, goede prijzen en hele vriendelijke bediening. Hier komen we echt snel terug!

Leuke tent met goeie vibe. Eten smaakt naar meer en ook hebben ze leuke bier/wijn pakketten om cadeau te doen.

Leuk terras. Vega saté is prima, frietjes heerlijk en alles wordt vlot gebracht. Leuke meiden op het terras. Geen zaak voor lang natafelen, om 21u gaat alles dicht. Biefstuk is matig, moest helaas terug naar de keuken vanwege de kwaliteit. Uiteindelijk netjes opgelost met iets anders van de kaart.

Heerlijk gegeten, steak medium/rare was ook echt zoals het hoort. Top geholpen (door Luna) en service is super, Echt een aanrader!

Lekker eten, grote porties voor een goede prijs. Vriendelijke bediening. Kom hier vaker en kan echt alles aanraden.
