The food here is very tasty and the service is also very good. You should come and try this sometime.

Just a short bike ride and then a lovely stop here to enjoy coffee and cake. Atmospheric spot by the water. We'll be going back soon.

It was still quiet when we arrived, due to unexpectedly bad weather. Our request regarding table selection was taken into account, and we were received very kindly. We had specifically chosen Meerenbos because it is a pleasant place to sit both inside and outside, and you can park at the restaurant (handy if you have mobility issues). The dishes are very generous, beautifully presented, and fresh. The menu offers a wide and varied selection, ranging from "trendier" dishes to classics. The service was truly exceptionally good; empty glasses were noticed (even though we were sitting a bit in a corner), we could easily reach someone if we had questions, and the explanation regarding the composition of a particular sandwich was detailed, allowing a dining companion to consciously choose something else. I frequent the hospitality industry very often myself, but I don't experience this very often anymore (and that's despite the staff being quite young!). When the weather improved, we moved to the terrace, and they didn't make a fuss about that at all either. Big compliments to the young man and young ladies who served us yesterday! Do I need to mention anything else? Well, alright, the toilets could perhaps use a bit of maintenance (the soap dispenser was completely loose, for example), but that didn't bother me that much: otherwise, they were spotless. In short: we enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be back!

There is no option to split the bill separately. What was striking was that if you still had a little in your glass, or if everything was to your liking, you were immediately asked if you wanted more right after finishing your drink... there were empty tables and no waiting guests, and closing time was nowhere in sight. The lemonade syrup was watery.

It was fine. Friendly staff and the quality of the food is good. I just think they come and ask if you want another drink just a little too often.

You just keep coming back here. Everything is well taken care of. The price-quality ratio (portion size) is good. Sufficient choice on the menu. A minor downside is that they have moved away from Affligem, but you see that at several establishments. The service is attentive and the location is stunning. Ample parking nearby. Beautiful surroundings for walking. We have been coming here for years and it is simply top-notch every time!

We ordered from our table inside; there was no room outside. After our drinks were served, the waitress indicated that a table outside was now available. Great. There we saw the special menu with seasonal dishes, which wasn't available inside. We thought that was a shame. We would have ordered something seasonal otherwise.

They really lived up to their expectations. Table was reserved so that went perfectly. Sat outside on the terrace in the sun along the Rotte looking at the marina. Veltins beer, great Coffee perfect Coffee américaino super Mint tea thick great Flatbread chicken terriaki with nuts super Tuna sandwich was okay. Clean toilet!!!

We have just moved into the neighborhood and were looking for a place close by to go for lunch on Valentine’s Day. Saw that this restaurant was offering a High Tea and so decided to try it. It was a lovely experience. Service is very friendly and welcoming. Even our little golden retriever puppy was given a warm welcome.We had a lovely table by the window and it was laid out very nicely. The afternoon tea consisted of 3 parts-sweet delicacies first, followed by a soup and then some savory delights. Everything was delicious and portions perfect. The mustard soup was a first for me and it was very good. All in all a great Valentines afternoon. What makes the place even more special is the nice walking paths around the cafe. We will definitely be back.

What a service this business is, it may be said. Besides that we had a delicious meal. The girl who served us had forgotten to pass on our delicious fish tasting, which we had ordered before because it is a pleasure to eat. She apologized and quickly put things in motion. Nice place on the Rotte, but the prices are skyrocketing. Burger for a bigger appetite, but there was literally nothing for more than 15 euros. I think the price/quality ratio is below average.
