We had a lovely time sitting outside on the terrace. The asparagus was delicious. The service was very friendly and attentive. Free parking at the location.

After a motorcycle tour with a group of 20 people, we had a nice meal in a pleasant setting along the Rotte.

I celebrated my birthday with family and friends on May 16th in the conservatory. It was very enjoyable, and the food and drinks were top-notch. I received many nice comments from my guests about this evening at Meerenbos. In short, highly recommended. Bravo!

Highly recommended for everyone, especially if you cycle along the Rotte.

You just keep coming back here. Everything is well taken care of. The price-quality ratio (portion size) is good. Sufficient choice on the menu. A minor downside is that they have moved away from Affligem, but you see that at several establishments. The service is attentive and the location is stunning. Ample parking nearby. Beautiful surroundings for walking. We have been coming here for years and it is simply top-notch every time!

We ordered from our table inside; there was no room outside. After our drinks were served, the waitress indicated that a table outside was now available. Great. There we saw the special menu with seasonal dishes, which wasn't available inside. We thought that was a shame. We would have ordered something seasonal otherwise.

from marina Peter van Vliet walked to the Roerdomp then with electric ferry 10 min sailing arrived at this restaurant reserved by my sister-in-law and brother who had good experiences with this company. They really lived up to their expectations. Table was reserved so that went perfectly. Sat outside on the terrace in the sun along the Rotte looking at the marina. Veltins beer, great Coffee perfect Coffee américaino super Mint tea thick great Flatbread chicken terriaki with nuts super Tuna sandwich was okay. Clean toilet!!!

We have just moved into the neighborhood and were looking for a place close by to go for lunch on Valentine’s Day. Saw that this restaurant was offering a High Tea and so decided to try it. It was a lovely experience. Service is very friendly and welcoming. Even our little golden retriever puppy was given a warm welcome.We had a lovely table by the window and it was laid out very nicely. The afternoon tea consisted of 3 parts-sweet delicacies first, followed by a soup and then some savory delights. Everything was delicious and portions perfect. The mustard soup was a first for me and it was very good. All in all a great Valentines afternoon. What makes the place even more special is the nice walking paths around the cafe. We will definitely be back.

The location is wonderfully close to the water, the Rottemeren and the forest behind it. We ate a delicious Diamond Fillet, all the food was of good quality and perfectly prepared! Family restaurant! Great, you have been around for 40 years and are still cozy, beautiful along the water and in the forest! Keep it up!

Very nicely decorated restaurant on the Rottemeren in the middle of a wonderful walking area. Varied (lunch) menu, reasonable prices, tasty sandwiches (fish tasting) and very friendly service. Recommended!

What a service this business is, it may be said. Besides that we had a delicious meal. The girl who served us had forgotten to pass on our delicious fish tasting, which we had ordered before because it is a pleasure to eat. She apologized and quickly put things in motion. Nice place on the Rotte, but the prices are skyrocketing. Burger for a bigger appetite, but there was literally nothing for more than 15 euros. I think the price/quality ratio is below average.

Nice to eat and beautiful view. The following does not detract from this matter, but be careful with the transfer to the restaurant. The skipper stops when he feels like… Which in our case allowed us to take a detour of 10km…

On a warm summer day we were able to drink a nice glass of wine and eat a snack, even though it was very busy and we could no longer sit outside, we got a great seat inside and the service was very friendly and fast. All in all a pleasant experience and a place I would definitely go to again!

Wij hebben een geweldige high tea bij Meerenbos gehad. Aan Ilona, de eigenaresse, hadden wij onze wensen kenbaar gemaakt. Zij bleek daar heel fexibel in te zijn en kon al onze extra wensen realiseren. Omdat het die dag zo warm was werden voor ons op de vlonder voor het restaurant voor 18 mensen 2 grote tafels neergezet. De tafels stonden al gedekt klaar toen we aankwamen. Bij aankomst stonden op deze tafels al theepotten en blikjes met verse losse thee en zeefjes. Tevens stonden er grote schalen met verse munt, gember, anijs, kaneel en citroenschijfjes. Onbeperkt koffie, thee en water was bij de prijs inbegrepen. Het soepje vooraf was heerlijk. Daarna werd op een hele aparte etagere het hartige gedeelte geserveerd. De kwaliteit daarvan was uitstekend. Daarna kwam het zoete gedeelte en de scones die eveneens heerlijk waren. Dit alles werd steeds door vriendelijke en alerte medewerkers uitgeserveerd. Ook als de gasten iets anders wilden drinken werd daar direct gehoor aan gegeven. Al met al vonden wij het een geweldige high tea op een hele mooie plek. Al onze vrienden reageerden dezelfde avond nog dat zij een hele leuke middag hadden gehad en dat zij alles erg lekker vonden. Al met al een uitstekende high tea bij Meerenbos, waarvoor onze hartelijke dank.

Had dinner here again tonight... And I can say that the service is great; loose and cheerful plus alert, no long waiting times. As for the dinner, there were some disappointments: the 'weird' requested diamond steak turned out to be 'medium well done' but still quite edible (not bad). The salad appeared not to have been prepared The fries were tasty Oh yeah.... Almost forgot Very small piece of meat for that price
