Verhage Berkel center in Wijk 21 Berkel

Verhage is a group of eateries that has taken the concept of a "snack bar" and expanded it to a simple and charming restaurant. Besides their well-known "patatje oorlog" (war fries) and "broodje kroket" (croquette sandwich), they've expanded their menu to include fried eggs, spare ribs, delicious salads, and much more. And the places I've been to are all quite atmospheric. You can even get delicious, hand-crafted coffee there. Friendly and helpful people.

Never, ever again! You're waiting at a table, only to find out you have to order at the cash register yourself, which isn't indicated anywhere. Then you order, and you get the wrong thing. Fries with a bucket of salt on them. Fresh lemon, which is water, ice cubes with some strawberries €4.95. And the bill is completely wrong. Now I understand why it's so quiet there. You used to have to wait for a table, but now almost everything is empty. We left quickly.

A big fat 0 for service!! RIDICULOUS business!!! Ordered food at 18:50, still no food at 20:50. This is the umpteenth time ordering from them. Had to call myself, and were told they had a problem. It can happen, but after 45 minutes still no food. Ask for compensation for the inconvenience, and they just say to you in an offended tone: we don't do that, tough luck for you. I will never order from them again

Friendly & helpful staff, absolutely. But there is no ‘work structure’. No one is in charge. Everyone ‘just does their own thing’. Takeaway orders, restaurant, home delivery. As a result, everything - absolutely everything - goes wrong. Staff who no longer know what is in the ‘bags’. Which are then used up again, ‘felt’ (nice and fresh, HACCP..🤮). In short: Something-or-someone has to bring work structure to this place. Otherwise, sooner or later it will be ‘over and out’

Tastiest veal croquette here and delicious caramel cappuccino. Sometimes service a little less. Sometimes good

Ordered Frikandel peanut/mayo. Nothing was tasty: not frikandel (how is that possible?), mayo OK and peanut sauce not. I regret eating it, it doesn't feel good in my stomach. It is of course possible that the other dishes are tasty

Ordered for delivery and unfortunately had to wait a very long time. 45 minutes later than it was supposed to be there and the milkshake for my son was at the bottom of the bag with the lid open and everything had spilled out. Shame!

In any case, don't order pancakes. It's better to get them at AH or Jumbo. You get the EXACT same thing for cheaper. At the AH they are 2 euros for 6 pieces. Here you get 3 for more than 7 euros. I thought it was strange that it was ready within 5 minutes. Buy them at the supermarket, throw on some fruit, whipped cream and sauce and you have the same idea as the restaurant. Coffee was good though. I feel super ripped off. Lesson learned.

Scandalously slow. There are 8 customers in the restaurant, 5 of whom already had food. Been waiting for food and drinks for half an hour. Order of 1 burger with fries and drink.

Ordered here weekly. It became less and less. Cold fries, half filled containers. Now the carpaccio salad container has been halved in size and is being half filled again and you have to look for the cheese and pine nuts... unfortunately we have now lost a loyal customer!

Not a single table cleared, no place and everything dirty. Employee's daughter and teenage friends are screaming and raging there so that another customer had to say something about it. The employee himself did not do that. And then I got old stew and diarrhea for 3 days. Didn't see me there again

Nice large restaurant and lots of choice of tasty food and dishes, good service, you can usually be helped quickly.

Then you will be treated to a beautiful photo of an iced latte. And you are served lukewarm ditch water. When you politely indicate this at the counter, you are dismissed with the statement that this is how iced coffee should be. Like I've never had an iced coffee before. Shameful from the teenagers behind the counter.

During a birthday party we went here for a bite to eat with 10 very enthusiastic girls. They had a lot of fun and enjoyed a delicious meal. Food was served quickly. Order was placed neatly at the table. Top service. To be repeated

Really, the food took a long time and it really wasn't busy. Then cold food, empty bitterballen. Received the wrong drink and the ordered mayo was not included. Really that bad

It was dramatic and really too terrible for words. I was there an hour ago. We ordered food and we waited an hour. And no, it wasn't busy, it was very quiet. When we got our food, the ice was cold and I went back to report it. This gentleman is touching my sandwich to feel it with his bare hands and he says I will warm it up for you. What do you think, that I'm going to eat food that you've been touching with your bare hands? Then I asked without bacon and he said, but I don't understand that because bacon is halal. Dumbest thing I've heard in a while but okay. Then I got ketchup on my bread which was not what I ordered at all. Then we ordered fries with mayonnaise and we didn't get any mayonnaise. If you order Coke Zero, you will receive normal Coke. If you order bitterballen you will receive deflated bitterballen. One thing is certain, I won't be coming back here again.

Good products. Fast and good service. A clean and hygienic facility. Cozy setup and conveniently located on the edge of a nice shopping center

It's been a while since I wrote a review. But this was just ridiculous. There were two male colleagues, one of which was probably the owner. And the other one looked like a transgender. I haven't seen them both smile at customers once in an hour. I asked for extra sugar, didn't even get a response, not an okay is good. He/she/them just walked away. Just a sugar put down on the table, no eye contact, no please, just put something down and walk away. Half of the fries were pre-fried three times (which made them simply unedible and soaked in grease) because it is the only fries stall where you can sit. But other than that, never again

Bella esperienza culinaria, per il pranzo abbiamo ordinato tre diversi tipi di panini, buoni per una costo conveniente . L’ordine può essere fatto alla cassa o al tavolo tramite app sebbene questa risulti essere un po’ difficile da utilizzare . Ambiente carino con atmosfera familiare .

Gewoon zoals je van het eten van een Verhage mag verwachten. Alleen lijkt t alsof een personeelslid er kennelijk weinig zin in had. Wat een chagrijnige ponum..Jammer

Goede zaak, lekkere cappucino met appeltaart. Was hier met mijn moeder. Geef toch 3 sterren omdat t toilet slecht toegangkelijk is voor minder validen. Ook een handgreep in t toilet zou wel handig zijn.

Ik ben er zeer tevreden over, maar ik vond het niet leuk toen ik ze zag hamburger 🍔 maken zonder handschoenen en tegelijkertijd de telefoon opnemen en serveren zonder wassen .Maak alstublieft geen eten klaar zonder handschoenen

Wat een toptent is dit. Ik heb aan de kassa besteld en ik werd aan de kassa geholpen door de eigenaar. Dit is een erg vriendelijke man. Ik heb een heerlijk broodje kroket en een Tzazikiburger gegeten en daarnaast een heerlijke Cappuccino gedronken. De service was erg snel en ik kreeg er keurig een bestekje en een placemat bij. Dank jullie wel voor deze goede ervaring!

Het eten is niet geweldig maar ja het is Verhage dus wat verwacht je

De atmosfeer was erg saai, service was niet echt vriendelijk maar deden hun werk gewoon. Eten was zeker wel lekker!

Goed eten alleen jammer als je een ijsje besteld dat de bezorger hem verpest door hem te laten galen alles lag onder maar doe er dan gewoon een deksel op. Maar verder wel goed!

Bestelling via QR code betekent 50 cent extra betalen. Een kopje koffie van 2 euro, betekent dat je 2,50 euro moet afrekenen. 45 minuten op onze bestelling moeten wachten, daarna kwam de medewerkster vertellen dat er geen zalm was ingekocht, dus mijn broodje zalm maar omgeruild voor broodje kaas. Kreeg wel het verschil in prijs terug🥹

Geen koffie of andere warme drank te krijgen omdat de koffiemachine kapot is. Onvoorstelbaar

Had een broodje tonijnsalade maar er zat zo weinig tonijn op het broodje dat het het ver te zoeken was, beetje jammer voor zo veel geld !!!!

Leuke mensen, lekkere plek om te zitten. Zat daar om wat werk te doen, mocht gewoon wat langer blijven zitten.

Mooie snackbar en eetcafé, heerlijk vers eten en leuk zitten.

Op de hamburger van mijn vriendin zat een rare saus. We hebben het gecontroleerd, en de mayo rook niet erg goed. Er zaten ook harde stukjes in de mayo. Ik voel me hier erg ziek van. Door dit ongeval ga ik nooit meer naar de verhagen in Berkel!

Verhage heeft prima snacks. Het zijn geen culinaire hoogstandjes, dus daar kan je ook niet zoveel aan verpesten lijkt me. Dat wil zeggen, zolang het vet waarin gebakken wordt een beetje vers is. Dat is bij Verhage prima in orde. Snack zijn smakelijk, maar het personeel is enorm traag, althans het systeem dat je hanteren om de bestellingen af te werken. Even snel in en uit voor een afhaalsnack kun je bij Verhagen wel vergeten.
