We were guests at the neighboring B&B and decided to dine nearby in the evening. Good choice! The food was delicious and the restaurant had a lovely atmosphere and a beautiful terrace with a rural view. The service was also fast and friendly! We'll definitely be back.

Today we went to bides, the website indicates that the place is open on Sundays from 10:00, but unfortunately that was not until 12:00. We waited on the terrace until the staff opened. A super nice waitress took our order and was really old-fashioned friendly and attentive and helpful during our stay. I chose an Italian bun with Bides fried chicken (€12!) from the limited lunch menu and my girlfriend the multigrain bun with smoked salmon (€13!) What a huge disappointment when the order arrived! The rolls were not fresh, but seemed to have been reheated in the oven and were hard. On my bun with fried chicken there were exactly three pieces of breaded chicken and some vegetables with a drop of sauce. The bun with salmon was also poorly topped and tasteless according to my girlfriend. In the meantime, through the open top of the kitchen door we could see the hungry owner also eating a sandwich. Beautiful location with super friendly staff with way too high prices for poorly filled, not fresh sandwiches. Later we went a door further to the watermill where we satisfied our hunger and were served great food for much less money.

Sorry but really not recommended. For example the spareribs were super tough (ready-made ribs from the supermarket are 1000x tastier). My partner had chicken satay where the satay sauce was just served cold. We could laugh about it afterwards but still really bad 😂.

Quite a beautiful location, but after almost smoking one cigarette it was made clear that it is a non-smoking location outside on the terrace. This was not indicated anywhere, not on the table or menu or on a sign. So there is no place for smokers here

Had a nice lunch here this afternoon. Contrary to other reviews here, it was definitely not a bad experience. But in all fairness, it must be said that there were only two of us and there were two other guests. And the rain came down in buckets every now and then, so few hikers today.

We were here the Saturday before Easter. The weather was good and it was Easter weekend, and there was only 1 waitress. Not convenient. Saw many people leave without being helped because it took a very long time. I also waited an hour and a half for lunch. It was very tasty. But not convenient when you are in such a beautiful location and with so few staff on such a popular day.

I really enjoy coming here, lovely atmosphere, great service and delicious food. Casual! I have also read some other experiences from guests but I cannot agree with them at all. If something is wrong (I have experienced it once), they solve it perfectly! I'm looking forward to spending a lot of time on the terrace again this summer and experiencing the peace and quiet in the beautiful part of Haaksbergen.

Unfortunately, not again for us. Went here for dinner with 18 people on Christmas Day. Place the order in advance. They also asked if we could come to 5:45 PM instead of 6:00 PM. Fine, no problem. When we arrived we waited an hour and fifteen minutes for our starter. They also did not have sparkling ice tea in their range. The main course was only served at 8:45 PM, 3 hours after we arrived... What a mockery. A full terrace and only 1 lady serving. A nice long, long, long wait... Ordered a snack board for 2 to 3 people for euro 29.95 for two. After a long hike we wanted to have a drink and a small bite to eat here. The drinks were quite quick, but we had to wait half an hour for our drinks board, while another table was occupied. NEVER EAT HERE!!!!! WHAT A WORTHLESS TENT. Tried to eat here with four adults and a child of 8. Had dinner last week in this beautiful, atmospheric restaurant. Very warm welcome and very friendly service. Also spoke extensively to the charming and enthusiastic owner, who took all the time for this even though it was almost full. I had a really delicious meal, it was all equally tasty and clearly prepared with care. Enjoyed sitting here on the terrace, everything is great! That was my Review a year ago. Yesterday we sat on the terrace again after a walk. 3 tables occupied and 2 (insecure, young) girls serving. After almost 10 minutes our Latté...1 glass 3/4 full and 1/4 foam and the other the other way around. Something was said about this to an older waitress inside. This was the way it should be, the foamer was broken, this was the way it was supposed to be, the apprentice girl, this was the way it should be and got the latté back. After waiting for a while we received our lunch, unfortunately the price and ratio of what you get is certainly not a good ratio. Damner on first experience.!

This afternoon I took a nice walk with my daughter in the beautiful Lankeet nature reserve in Haaksbergen. After the walk we enjoyed the view and a delicious latte with a large piece of apple pie at Bides, a beautifully decorated restaurant with a beautiful terrace on the edge of the nature reserve. The service was neat and very friendly.

Took a very long time to get our food. I ordered the daily special without knowing what it is, and ended up being served fish without explanation. We also received the wrong order for that. When paying, it turned out that 2 drinks were missing, I had to indicate which ones they were. My meat was also really well done and NOT tasty. We won't be coming back here again. Controls seemed very confused, as if they didn't know exactly what the intention was. Very friendly and nice, that's for sure. ;)

Fantastic delicious food! Refined dishes, but above all original, with sometimes improbable combinations that come together in the mouth to create a fantastic taste explosion! We reserved a table online. Before we actually entered the restaurant, we were already fascinated by the ambience. When we opened the door to the restaurant, we were greeted warmly and shown straight to the table. Our place was right next to the oven. Music was playing softly in the background. In general, the volume was very pleasant and it was easy to switch off and enjoy the time. After we sat down, we promptly took the order for drinks and offered us an appetizer, which we also accepted. This was bread with herb butter and nachos with a dip. Both were very tasty, especially delicious. Our main courses (steak, cauliflower taco, zucchini salad, potatoes and fries) were also delicious. The steak was really great. The rest was also delicious and gave us no reason to complain. The only thing we could deduct a maximum of 0.25 stars for would be the dish sizes/price. We think the prices are a bit high for the quantity. On the other hand, we said afterwards that something is often thrown away somewhere else and so you don't eat until you're hungry. And as I said: it was very tasty! That's why I don't want to deduct a single star or even half a star. We can highly recommend it

Vanavond en ook gisteren avond heerlijk gegeten in de prettige ambiance van het mooie restaurant Bides. De kok weet bijzonder goed hoe buitengewone gerechten te maken. De hulpvaardige dames in de bediening zorgen mede voor een prettige ongedwongen sfeer.

Gezellige avond gehad met vrienden. Ambiance is goed. Helaas het eten minder. Gerechten niet op voorraad, biefstuk was door en droog. Uiterst vriendelijke serveerster die na aangeven van de feedback over het hoofdgerecht netjes twee deserts aanboodt van het huis. Prijzen zijn aan de hoge kant voor de kwaliteit van het eten, bediening top.

Fijne locatie midden in de weilanden met heerlijke keuken.

Mooi ingericht restaurant met mooi terras met landelijk uitzicht. Heerlijk gegeten (kipsate, spareribs en cheesecake). De spareribs en kipsate waren echt mals en de cheesecake was ook heel smaakvol. Hele redelijke prijzen. Vriendelijke bediening. Voor herhaling varbaar!

Ondertussen een keer of 5 geweest sinds de opening. Vandaag was het echt super. Vriendelijke bediening! Heel lekker gegeten. Pasta gamba is echt aanrader! Jammer dat ze niet alle bieren hadden die ze op de kaart vermelden anders zeker 5 sterren gegeven. Voor herhaling vatbaar!

Mooie, sfeervolle locatie. Voorgerechten waren erg lekker (langzaam gegaarde buikspek en eryngi paddestoel) én mooi gepresenteerd, dus het begon veelbelovend. Over de hoofdgerechten waren we minder enthousiast. Het hamburger broodje zelf bleek een Surinaamse bara (soort gefrituurde schijf deeg) te zijn, waarvan ik de toegevoegde waarde in deze context niet echt begreep. De burger was verder weinig bijzonder (Smaken/toppings niet echt in balans). Het hoofdgerecht van mijn partner was echter helemaal geen hoogvlieger: een groene curry die bestond uit rijst, flauwe kokosmelk saus (met daarin letterlijk 1 stukje bloemkool en 3 halve stukjes cherrytomaat) én een Surinaamse bara er bij. We hebben niks tegen experimentele combinaties (anders hadden we het niet geprobeerd) maar dit werkte wat ons betreft gewoon niet.
