Bij Marc in Ouddorp

This restaurant is beautifully decorated and located right next to the Landal Resort Ouddorp! It's so popular that reservations are recommended! However, even without a reservation, you can wait for your food with a drink and take it to go! The food is fantastic! I was especially delighted by the unusual pizza topping with goat cheese and pear! The pizza, salad, and fish are highly recommended, and the appetizers and salads are delicious, as are the fries! My husband's steak wasn't quite perfect, though. I would definitely go back and recommend it to everyone!

Standing in front of a closed door at 8:30, while the store was supposed to be open until 9:30. Second time this has happened.

It's a shame that the quality of the food and service at this restaurant has declined so drastically after just one year. Regarding the service, you have to actively seek attention from the staff. As for the food, the picture below shows kibbeling with a nice selection of seafood, while the picture above shows cheap cod with a thick breading. It feels like they're no longer focused on the customer, but solely on profit. It's a pity things have deteriorated this way.

Very chilly inside, cold temperature. Staff comes by every minute to ask questions, unfortunately, and then suddenly they're nowhere to be found when you want to order. Dinner tastes are not good, no high-flyers, and it's still a bit pricey. :(

The food isn't particularly tasty, more like a high-end snack bar. The atmosphere and decor are also very cold, with lots of concrete. And there's sand on the floor, which I walked in from outside. The staff is a bit pushy and contrived, which is a shame; it could have been better. The menu is good, but the quality is very disappointing; I had different expectations beforehand :(

We enjoyed a delicious lunch. The spicy chicken sandwich was generously filled and had a wonderfully spicy flavor combined with pickle slices. I would never have thought of that combination, but it worked perfectly! It's also nice that they have local beers on the menu. They were delicious. Thanks in part to Bij Marc, I can see myself renting a house at Landal Ouddorp again.

We try to have lunch here every year after our week-long autumn holiday in Ouddorp before leaving, and every time we receive super friendly service and delicious food👌

The pizza looks better and tastes better. It's very thin and flavorless.

We were here with the family and, to be honest, had hoped for a bit more after reading so many positive reviews. We ordered garlic bread for a whopping €8, two slices of cake at €4.80 each, and four hot drinks. The service team consisted mostly of very young employees who seemed friendly, but displayed little routine and no discernible structure. Despite the manageable number of guests, there was a noticeable sense of restlessness. The garlic bread came first, followed by the cakes, but the drinks came a few minutes later. There was no discernible order in the service flow. It was unpleasant to note that a "reserved" sign for the evening was thrown directly onto our table during our meal. This seemed unnecessarily rude, especially since it was a large, shrink-wrapped sign that could easily have been put back in place after we left. On the positive side, a waitress asked if everything was okay. However, the attention paid to families was inconsistent: While the children at the next table received art supplies, ours were simply overlooked. Overall, the value for money here isn't right. The prices are significantly higher than what the service, the menu, and the atmosphere would justify. Unfortunately, this isn't a place we'd visit again.

Point 1: Service was top-notch, friendly, courteous, and always on the ball, despite the full house. Point 2: Food was OK. The kids' pasta was very dry and the sauce lacked flavor. Pizza was extravagant and delicious. The burger was very dry and simply not good enough for the price. The ambiance was very nice. We also had a nice seat at the edge where there are lots of windows. We recommend the pizza 🍕

Prices up, quality down. The delicious salad dressing seems to have been replaced with mayo, and the poffertjes were carelessly served in a pile of powdered sugar. A real shame – a real downgrade compared to our last stay here two years ago.

The service was excellent and the food was delicious. It's a shame though that dogs are allowed inside and you can hear them barking while you're eating... very annoying. I don't understand how that's allowed in a restaurant.

A lovely lunch before we head home

Normally a good experience. We were supposed to let them know when the main course would be ready. We did that about 40 minutes after the starter. Within seconds, the food was on the table. Everything was lukewarm. We sent everything back. We were supposed to get new food. Unfortunately, everything was put back on the grill, so the steak was practically like shoe soles. So we didn't get new dishes, but "reheated" food. Because we had cut it up, and that cut meat came back. Yes, and with cooked mussels, that's absolutely disgusting. Too bad. Not anymore for a while. We ordered and picked up food, and the food was excellent. We have nothing to complain about. I can recommend the Angus Burger; the meat was cooked very well, medium-rare. The pizzas and sides were all very tasty, too.

We found the service with the children very good. Art supplies were brought to the table for the little ones. Drinks were reasonably priced, but the food was outrageously expensive. In the main course section, only dishes cost over €20.

The pizza was good, after I added some salt, But my Teramisu was very disappointing. The tast was very underwhelming and similar to the ones in de supermarkt, for that price I expected more.

Delicious food on a great terrace!

Super fast service, and with such a large restaurant, there's definitely a spot available. Everything on the menu felt lovingly made, yet there was so much choice. I had the fresh tuna poke bowl, and the toppings were truly amazing. The cheesecake is truly, OMG, way too good for the price. It felt like I was rich for a moment.

The place is really nice, location is great yet, the service is absolutely INEXISTENT. We waited for over 15 mins to get a menu, none of the waiters smile or offers assistance. Once we placed the order, it was quite fast to be delivered. Still, we asked for some sauce and we needed to ask a 3rd waiter as the first 2 did not assisted us. Nobody came to check in on us, and we literally needed to stand up to the bar counter to pay, as none of the waiters made themselves available, despite being a 20% of seats busy. The girl at the counter truly clueless about how to look for our table and the system usage to the point we needed to go back to the table and check the number as the order was wrongly placed. It’s a shame that the spot is top notch, food is OK, location is superb, but service is inexistent.

A truly beautiful location! You can enjoy a lovely coffee in the sunshine or a delicious lunch inside or outside. The food is truly excellent, there's nothing to complain about. The service varied a bit: the first time it was great; we were regularly asked if everything was to our liking, which felt very attentive. Unfortunately, the second time wasn't as good; there were several dirty tables around us (including ours) that hadn't been cleaned, resulting in lots of insects. That was a shame. Still, I would definitely recommend it and would love to come back!

The food was okay, but I've noticed throughout the area that as a tourist, not every employee is happy. You're "treated" rather directly, so everyone in the service department can learn something from that. Especially in tourist hotspots, the "welcome" should also be conveyed through the way you treat them. However, no one was directly unfriendly, so don't misunderstand that.

Unreservedly recommended. Great atmosphere, friendly and competent staff, top-notch selection and quality of the food! And the kids can enjoy the fantastic playground.

We waren na de positieve reviews best teleurgesteld in dit restaurant. Om te beginnen was de bedienster niet heel sympathiek. Tot twee keer toe werd de verkeerde drank geleverd. En tot slot bestond de ribeye die we kregen alleen maar uit vet. Hij was zo slecht dat we deze gewoonweg niet konden eten. Na dit doorgegeven te hebben kregen we wel meteen een nieuwe gebracht. Na alle slordigheden gevraagd of we de rekening mochten controleren, dat was gelukkig wel goed gegaan. Bij Marc maakte helaas onze verwachtingen niet waar.

First time at Marc's. We received a friendly welcome and were shown to our table, after which someone quickly came to take our drinks. Unfortunately, this was the only time it happened so quickly. After that, the glasses were always empty, and it took a while for someone to come back. The drinks menu is nicely extensive. We chose several starters and shared them, which was easy enough to do, especially the gyoza and Camembert were delicious. The main course was also excellent; there's something for everyone on the menu. My son was craving chicken, but also spare ribs, and that was perfectly arranged! The desserts were also excellent. The location is truly stunning, with a play tower overlooking the North Sea, so it's a great place to visit, especially with children! The food was excellent, but it was a bit noisy. We will definitely come back.

We got a table for eight for lunch without a reservation. We received very friendly, prompt, and attentive service. The wait for drinks and food was pleasantly short. The menu is extensive, with something for every taste. The prices aren't cheap, but they're absolutely reasonable for what's on offer. We'll be back.

Very large terrace. It's a shame that, because we only wanted a drink, we had to sit on a bench at the side, even though there were at least 20 tables available on the terrace.

We had a wonderful meal with six adults and four children. The ice cream in the Bollo cups made a wonderful meal complete. When we got home, I realized I'd lost my iPhone. We spontaneously stopped by for dinner. It's a very large restaurant with very stylish and modern decor. We simply sat down and were served fairly quickly. Both the drinks and the food came quickly, which was fine with us having two small children. The food was absolutely delicious. They also served oat milk cappuccino. I highly recommend it.

Next to the restaurant is BijMarc's coffee and ice cream place. I paid €12 for two iced coffees. They don't know how to make them. You get the "coffee" in powder form with some ice cubes and milk. Not real coffee, really. It doesn't taste like coffee. Ridiculous. It was also too much trouble to make one iced coffee with regular milk and one with soy.

We come here at least once or twice a year. Prices are constantly rising, the food remains mediocre. Service and friendliness are declining.

We weren't greeted; everyone walked past us. There were seven of us, and we were seated at a cramped table. One person couldn't sit comfortably because of an umbrella.

A sadly missed opportunity for a great review. The food was delicious all around. We had three starters and four main courses. The food also arrived on time. So, that was the positive part. Unfortunately, things only go downhill from here. When we arrived, we weren't greeted; instead, I had to approach three employees and ask for a table. The waitresses seemed completely overwhelmed and weren't particularly friendly. We wanted dessert, which was confirmed. We waited in vain for someone to take our order. I don't think it's in the owner's best interest to forgo four coffees and four cakes. Likewise, the entire tip is lost, which, with a bill of over €100, would have been at least €10-20. An absolute disaster. We also wanted to wrap something, but we waited over 10 minutes for it. And then we had to wrap it ourselves. As I said, good food, wonderful atmosphere. But we didn't feel at all comfortable because of the staff.

We ordered to-go. The pizza base wasn't cooked through, so we couldn't finish it. The burgers were red, even though they were supposed to be medium. Overall, it was unsatisfactory and unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it.

We were there for dinner with two adults and two children. The atmosphere was wonderful in the evening sun on the terrace. The service was very friendly and prompt, although I had to fetch the highchair I had requested when booking from the corner myself. The food was good and of reasonable quality for the price. The burger and spare ribs had a hint of cinnamon, which wasn't quite to our taste. Overall, a good place!

Six of us (four adults and two children) came for dinner without a reservation on a Tuesday evening at 6:00 PM. There was plenty of space, and it was no problem getting a seat outside even without a reservation. Our order was taken quickly, although I missed the friendliness of the staff. Not that they were unfriendly, but it wasn't "warm" either. We ordered the garlic bread to start, which was really delicious. There were also pizzas and schnitzel with fries for the kids. Everything was consistently solid. The playground next to the restaurant is both a blessing and a curse for parents.... All in all... Highly recommended.

Had lunch, for 21.00 euros and 28.50 euros. Unfresh kibbeling, fries and salad and 3 mega-thin sole (fried in butter) there was no fish fillet on it. We were disappointed. Passed it on and didn't have to pay 2x Radlers 0.0. We won't eat here again.

During our stay at Landal, we ate at Marc's twice, and both times the food was really good! Everything was freshly prepared. There are also suitable dishes for children on the menu. The service was attentive, friendly, and pleasantly prompt. The ambiance is modern and attractive, with both indoor and outdoor seating. We found the value for money to be excellent; a definite recommendation!

Once again had a great meal at Marc's. A nice restaurant with, for a holiday park, a more than excellent kitchen. Service is also good. Now, however, a point of criticism. The price/quality ratio is now a bit lacking. It is becoming a very expensive holiday menu. Marc gets away with it because it is almost always full.

I couldn't rate the food because there wasn't any. The service whizzes past you as if they were afraid of being spoken to. It's a better chip shop with bad service and higher prices.

We had a lovely lunch Bij Marc. The location is great because theres a kids playground in eyesight, and of course the sand to play in. The food was delivered fast and tasted great.. especially enjoyed the Nacho’s and the Grand dessert Chocolate!!

Nice place, especially with kids. We had the appetizer platter and Hawaiian pizza. The first was as expected, nothing special. Hawaiian pizza had a slightly unpleasant aftertaste, which I couldn't quite place... I suspected yeast. But it was okay. The rest of the menu sounded very good and varied. All in all, a good experience, but nothing outstanding.

Reserveren gaat heel makkelijk via internet en je krijgt snel een reactie. Het enige minpunt is dat de damestoiletten erg vies waren, te vies om er gebruik van te maken. En in 1 toilet ontbrak toiletpapier.

Unfortunately, that's the case here too. None of the dishes we ordered were convincing. It was okay, but for the price, you simply expect more. It's a shame, because it's basically a nice restaurant.

Recently ordered two pizzas. Literally frozen pizzas that go straight into the microwave. The pricing and appearance suggest that something of better quality is being prepared. Nice try, but unfortunately not worth repeating.

A portion of Dirty Fries is priced quite high at €11, but the portion size is also generous. The fries are crispy and taste sensational, you won't find anything like that in our city.

Disappointing experience. Mediocre service. Sweltering hot when you dine upstairs. We sat upstairs, where everything was extremely dirty and dusty. It immediately raises the question of what goes on in the kitchen. What once started as a hip, fresh tent has now turned into a food bar. Very unfortunate.

Ambiance and service: The ambience is good, just a bit of music was missing. The staff seems very well placed, so you don't have to wait long to be served. However, the waitress seemed to be in a bad mood and didn't smile. However, this was only the case with one operation. To eat: Unfortunately, me and my husband didn't like the food at all. We ordered garlic bread, prawns in garlic, a tuna pizza and a sea bream. The prawns were okay, but like the garlic bread there was absolutely no garlic flavor. The pizza was extremely dry and not filled to the edge. The sea bream was offered with tomatoes, what came was tomatoes with olives, which is a problem if you don't like olives! The sea bream itself was also dry and poorly seasoned. I can't say much about drinks as we only ordered cola. I definitely wouldn't visit again for dinner.
