Okay I’m a bit obsessed with the burgers here. I don’t know how they do it but it’s the best I’ve had in Europe and good every time! Obviously we all differ in opinions on what makes a good burger but the thinly sliced onions and pickles, the perfect melty cheese, the crispy-on-the-edge smash patty AND a perfect ratio of topping to bread (the ratio is what a lot of smash burger places seem to screw up). Even the lettuce they choose, it’s not too soggy, not too much bitter lettuce heart. Not rucola, which does not belong on a burger btw. The fries are decent and the chilli cheese version are good too. I like that the menu (online at least) is small because I prefer a restaurant that does a few things masterfully instead of a lot of things of questionable quality. This is not some high end brasserie burger experience for truffles, gold leaf or waygu. It’s just a damn good burger, every time.

Best burgers in Amsterdam. And I've had them all. This is also my second review ever. So, take that as you will. Update: They’ve been getting increasingly more expensive and quality is starting to vary. Also recently I ordered €5 fries and all I got was what u see in the pic. Changing my rating.

Burgers are super tasty, we had 3 different ones, one was vegetarian and it was super delicious, true that the fries could be better but everything else was perfect

One of the best burgers and fries in town! The patty is super soft and buttery, the burger is fresh and the fries are hot and crispy. The staff is great and delivers fast.

The burgers were very good, and the fries were okay. But it was definitely not worth 30 EUR for a smallish burger, small fries and a small drink. At the end of my meal, I was still hungry and looking around for more.

Double Oklahoma smash burger is excellent! Perfect meat/bun ratio, very juicy and flavorful. Fries are a bit disappointing though and prices are quite high. Overall still worth it if you have a smash burger craving.

Unfortunately didn't enjoy my uber eats order, I live on the other side of the city so perhaps it was too far but the food arrived cold and stale, the fries were almost inedible and no sauce. The burger was ok but too salty, definitely had better smash burgers and crazy overpriced for what you get. (two patties, barely any cheese, and a small bag of fries for 20+ euros)

Bill’s Burger Joint adds insult to injury. I placed a delivery order that was not delivered but marked delivered. I called the restaurant and was told place another order, pay again and ask for a refund later. Instead of doing the right thing that night, Bill’s Burger Joint has since billed me no less than five times for a burger I did not receive. Bad karma to you! Zero stars. You can make great burgers and still be petty people!

Here too you will find the smash burgers and finally... here they get it! Super tasty burger, well seasoned, tasty toppings on the burger and delicious bun. The range of sides is also good. We are fans!

Uber eat’s delivered us food stone cold and burgers and lime cake a very overpriced and small!!!Not recommended

As an American, burgers are a part of our culture, so you try things in other countries with a bit of interest and skepticism. I was blown away by how good the burger and fries were. For me, the best I’ve ever had. Also, the decor of the place is quite comforting and warm. It’s minimalism reminded me of the Edward Hopper painting “Nighthawks”. I will go back everytime I’m in AMS

Genuinely, THE best burger I've had in Amsterdam. Fries are outstanding also. I will definitely be coming back here, and I strongly encourage anyone looking for a great burger and fries to check this place out.

We'll never come back. We waited 55 minutes for 2 burgers and some fries. It was insane.. The people were nice, but staff was smoking outside, joking around and chatting while customers were waiting on their burger. No apologies for the long waiting time. The burgers are nice but no burger is worth waiting almost an hour.

I went there for a burger with my friends. We arrived and the ambience was appealing, the owners are incredibly welcoming and perfect hosts. We had a wonderful evening there as the homemade burgers and delicious beer were nothing less than a solid 10!

What an amazing experience. We were seated at the counter and had a great time with the waiter. The food was delicious. For me personal the best hamburger place I have ever been and one of the best experiences in a long time on restaurant. A big shoutout to the crew!

Beste burgers! En dan in het Engels…. The Oklahoma Fried Onion Burger is a standout, combining tender Angus beef, buttery bun, and perfectly grilled onions. The house-made pickles are a pleasant surprise, adding a refreshing crunch —highly recommended!

Just ordered via Uber eats. Fries 5.50: you get 10 fries, sauce 2.50: you get a mini container and the burger is also just small.

I had never been here before until today and honestly, I've had many smash burgers in Amsterdam and this is by far my favorite. The flavor in the burger with the crunchy fries is such a nice combination. It's reasonably affordable for the portion size as well. Honestly really enjoyed Bill's burger joint.

The burgers were so good, I had to give 5stars. We had to wait a tiny bit but it’s because it has a lot of success and the burgers are made with lots of love. Also the cook and the waitress were very nice.

NIce place. Awesome service. Great fries. Fantastic Key Line pie. Pretty good smash burgers. Too bad they are child portioned. When you charge 14 euros for a burger - they should be an adult portion. They are nowhere close to that. But do go for the service and the atmosphere. And the Key Line Pie!

Please fix your ventilation system (add a filter) the whole street smells like burned meat and fat.

Legit one of the best burgers we've ever had. 10/10. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend. The music however doesn't add anything to the atmosphere. Any other playlist would improve the vibe of the restaurant.

ordered on uber eats - food wasn’t packaged well & uber took ages to deliver it so it was soggy and cold. I think it would have tasted good otherwise. I mean, food through uber eats usually sucks, but then why deliver through uber eats?

Really good burgers with house-made pickles. I wish they kept the salads on the menu. There's not much veggies on the menu now. But staff and location are still fantastic.

I come here a lot, they have the best burgers. Sometimes I have to order a second! Last time my partner had chilli cheese fries, they were sooo good! I ate half. Atmosphere is really chill, friendly staff. But the food is the big draw, consistently superb, will definitely have to come back soon!

Smashburgers. Absolute best burgers in Amsterdam. They even make their on pickles for on the burger. I had the BLT burger and the chili cheese fries. Both were out of this world!

Quite possibly the best burger I’ve ever had and in a cozy place with staff that were some of the friendliest in Amsterdam.

Really tasty burgers in a place that is full of atmosphere with great and attentive staff. Only thing that let it down was the portion size. The tiny bowl of chips is just a bit ridiculous for the cost. Still, highly recommended and authentic place.

My partner and I went on a Monday night towards the end of a dinner rush but we sat at the bar and the restaurant pretty much cleared out after a few minutes. The waitress and cook made conversation and with us and were very friendly. I had the Oklahoma Onion burger and it had to be one of the best burgers I had ever tasted in my life. If you're craving a burger no matter where you are in Amsterdam, this place was worth the trek.

Absolutely love Bill’s Burgers! Been coming here a while now. Their kimchi veggie burger is amazing, but I also love the Gorgonzola burger. Tonight we tried the cheesecake and it was a pleasant surprise served with fresh berries and other fruit. I wish they would include a bit more fries per order. Overall though, super tasty and a well designed space!

I’d say that was one of the best burgers I’ve ever tasted; not just in Amsterdam, literally ever globally. I picked Gorgonzola burger and that was amazingly nice😋

Amazing burgers and very crispy fries!

Bill’s serves one of the best burgers in town. Smash style, nice soft bun, good flavours. Nothing extreme, just a nice burger grilled to perfection.

Even though the place was not full and there we’re enough staff in the place, for 2 people we have waited more than 40 minitues for 2 hamburgers.

The food and service were excellent. The atmosphere was plain, but the recorded music was pleasant. For aquick lunch or dinner that will not break the bank, I would recommend Bill's.

De hamburgers zijn bij lange na niet zo goed als bij zaken als Burger Bar, Burgermeester, Burger zaken etc. Verwachtte wel iets beters in deze chique buurt. Het vlees heeft meer weg van Burger King of Febo. Bediening is wel super vriendelijk

By far the best burger I've had in Amsterdam! Small place, but perfect for a short, but great food-experience. Can tell by reserved tables and people coming in to pick up take-away orders that this place is popular. Try the gorgonzola burger with fries and truffle dip! Amazing!

We order in, frequently from Bill's. My favorite is the IK Smash burger and for her the BLT burger. She says this is a burger done right. I have the same sentiment for the OK. I cant describe the atmosphere as we never ate there. As for the service, well, we order from Uber so I can't complain on how fast our food comes. The fries are still very warm. That's a compliment. For as long Bill makes these burgers we will still order from them.

I tried many burgers in my life but man, this burger is out of this world. It was so delicious, so tasty, every bite was a highlight and also a real pain cause I wanted to eat more and more but also didn't want it to end. The staff is also really polite and although we had no reservation, we got a table and the food was served real quick. All in all an awesome experience.
