NOT A REVIEW. Just a head's up I think this place either shut down or is temporarilly closed. Went a few weeks ago after opening hours and it was closed and checked on reviews today and others are saying the same thing so somethibt may have happened. Hope the owners are ok!

It was closed when maps says it’s open

I reserved and got a confirmation of my reservation, but when I got there the place was closed. No notice at all, no piece of paper on the door, and google says they’re open. Very annoying, because I came from way out of Amsterdam to go visit this joint. I really wanted to try the burgers.

After having nearly all smash burgers in Amsterdam, this was by far the best. Potato bun, perfect lace and of course an Oklahoma onion smash is unbeatable. Rarely am fully satisfied after a smash, and here I was more than satisfied. Fries were super crisp and their signature sauce was perfect. Big plus for the Coke in a bottle!

Tried Bill’s burger and it was absolutely mouth-watering. The bun was outstanding and made the whole burger feel really special. Easily one of the best burgers I’ve had in the Netherlands. Definitely worth coming back for.

Great food, very friendly staff and the interior looks great and matches the food served. I had the special burger and the taste was great. I wish they also served American lemonade (or other American drinks) it would really fit well into the concept, but as it is it’s already a 5 star experience! I’ll definitely be back!

I went yesterday with a friend. The burger was nothing short of PHENOMENAL: the bun was awesome, there was the right amount of sauce to avoid it becoming soggy, the whole sandwich was fresh, tasty and so good. Fries were very good as well! Staff is also very friendly and happy to spend a minute to have a quick talk if you want. I honestly can't wait to be back! Price is absolutely fair for the quality, and they have a loyalty program that makes it even more a bargain.

I called to pick up my food, and it was ready within 10 minutes. Excellent! The burger was delicious and well-wrapped so my hands didn't get covered in sauce. The coleslaw could have used a bit more sauce, but it was still very tasty.

Bills Burger Joint does a lot right. The burgers were excellent, well-cooked, and full of flavor, and the overall food quality was high. Service was solid and the place has a good, casual vibe. That said, the lighting wasn’t my favorite, a bit harsh and not very cozy, and the chili fries had a slightly strange taste that didn’t quite work for me. Maybe the chili ? Not sure… Aside from those small points, everything else was really great, and I’d happily come back for the burgers alone.

Oh my god, the burgers are amazing! The meat is so delicious, the fries are to die for, and the sauce is incredible. I would go back a thousand times over. The service is excellent, and most importantly, the place is clean and the prices are good.

It is one of my favourite burgers in the city, really. It is more expensive than other options in the region, but it is still worth it. But you should not order it for delivery. I've had it many times, and every time I order delivery, it gets worse. Yesterday I placed the order by 18:52, but on the receipt it said due by 19:02. The delivery happened around 20:50. Completely cold, the fries could be used as nails by the time they arrived. It is very unfortunate, but that's my recommendation: they shouldn't keep the delivery service this way.

The very best burgers in Amsterdam. The meat is shipped in from a grass fed beef farm and they use the end all be all potato buns from America. I have tried burgers all over Amsterdam and nothing compares. When I’m craving a cheeseburger this is the only place I come. Edit: please open for lunch! awesome place to have a quick tasty burger, but a bit overpriced

Very very disappointed. Walked in, the chef was on his phone completely oblivious to guests walking in. Got the menus 5 minutes later. Waitress came and took our orders. The food came out backwards. Burger first... 5 minutes later fries.. 3-4 mimnutes later, everything else. Burger was burnt on the edges to the point of being charcoal. I get smash burger, but this was literally charred out! Fries were VERY suboptimal especially being in NL where people pride themselves on the quality of their fries. I was really rooting for this place to be my new favourite burger spot, but it was so bad that I am not even willing to give it another chance. Oh, and it came up to 60$ for 2 burgers, a couple of sides and 2 drinks.

Chips where baptised in cheese, not merely sprinkled with it. Amazing. Burger so good I instantly took a second bite when my wife offered that I could try some of her meal (she was not happy with me). Tunes in the background also classic hip hop. Vibes are immaculate.

Over the years I’ve partaken in many burgers. Some are very good, yet we forget them. But some are so good they stay with you, living rent free in your mind while eating other burgers. That’s what I’m experiencing after a the classic BLT at Bills. Thank you Bill, and curse your burger that has ruined future burgers for me!

Food is usually good, but got it delivered through Uber and my food arrived cold. While part of the blame is on Uber, I hold the restaurant accountable for bundling 3-4 orders in 1 delivery. Since I was the unfortunate last person to get the order, it was cold and soggy, and burgers aren’t easy to reheat. So since I get cold dinner, you get 1 star. Maybe worth rethinking if bundling so many orders to save a few bucks is worth bad reviews

Disappointing. We ordered for delivery in Uber Eats watching that all the reviews were good but I feel they're a lie, because the expectations are not it. First, the temperature of the food was quite cold, also it didn't come with any supplies even though we ordered them on the order, and we think that paying 14€ for fries the size of a portion for one, for them to also come cold it's absolutely not worthy or fair, since we can find similar to reasonable prices rather than that one. Also, the food is mid, it's nothing out of the ordinary. Wouldn't recommend.

We went as a couple with a baby after reading the reviews & it did not disappoint. Small comfortable American diner style restaurant with a nice atmosphere. The waitress was fantastic, helpful & provided a high chair for the baby. We ordered a double cheeseburger with onions & pickles, crispy chicken burger with frites, some dips & a couple of soft drinks. The cheese"smash"burger was the stand out & was awesome, tasty frites & dips. The food, customer service & location was fantastic 😋👏🏻 Definitely recommend & return if in the area.

The best burger in Amsterdam! I was brought here by a friend who visits regularly, so expectations were high. I had the classic BTL with double patty. All ingredients were beautifully prepared; they clearly care about every part of their burgers. It was juicy, big, and absolutely delicious! I'll definitely go again. Also, the staff were very friendly and created a relaxed atmosphere.

Double Oklahoma smash burger is excellent! Perfect meat/bun ratio, very juicy and flavorful. Fries are a bit disappointing though and prices are quite high. Overall still worth it if you have a smash burger craving.

Easily the best burgers in Amsterdam. I just moved around the corner and got drawn in by the amazing smell. Tried their onion burger and man, I could've had another one for dessert. Super nice staff as well, laid back but attentive and knowledgeable. Surprisingly it wasn't very busy inside, this is a place that should have a line outside Living around the corner is going to be a test of character, but maybe hamburgers are super healthy. Oh and for all the Uber and Thuisbezorgd reviewers, how can you expect high quality burgers with real ingredients to be hot, fresh and tasty when you order in? You need super processed McDonalds shit for that.

This really is a tiny diner-style burger event. We had Bill's Classic Burgers with fries and they were first class, made with passion. Service is attentive and superfriendly. Strong recommendation.

Okay I’m a bit obsessed with the burgers here. I don’t know how they do it but it’s the best I’ve had in Europe and good every time! Obviously we all differ in opinions on what makes a good burger but the thinly sliced onions and pickles, the perfect melty cheese, the crispy-on-the-edge smash patty AND a perfect ratio of topping to bread (the ratio is what a lot of smash burger places seem to screw up). Even the lettuce they choose, it’s not too soggy, not too much bitter lettuce heart. Not rucola, which does not belong on a burger btw. The fries are decent and the chilli cheese version are good too. I like that the menu (online at least) is small because I prefer a restaurant that does a few things masterfully instead of a lot of things of questionable quality. This is not some high end brasserie burger experience for truffles, gold leaf or waygu. It’s just a damn good burger, every time.

The burgers were very good, and the fries were okay. But it was definitely not worth 30 EUR for a smallish burger, small fries and a small drink. At the end of my meal, I was still hungry and looking around for more.

Unfortunately didn't enjoy my uber eats order, I live on the other side of the city so perhaps it was too far but the food arrived cold and stale, the fries were almost inedible and no sauce. The burger was ok but too salty, definitely had better smash burgers and crazy overpriced for what you get. (two patties, barely any cheese, and a small bag of fries for 20+ euros)

Bill’s Burger Joint adds insult to injury. I placed a delivery order that was not delivered but marked delivered. I called the restaurant and was told place another order, pay again and ask for a refund later. Instead of doing the right thing that night, Bill’s Burger Joint has since billed me no less than five times for a burger I did not receive. Bad karma to you! Zero stars. You can make great burgers and still be petty people!

Here too you will find the smash burgers and finally... here they get it! Super tasty burger, well seasoned, tasty toppings on the burger and delicious bun. The range of sides is also good. We are fans!

As an American, burgers are a part of our culture, so you try things in other countries with a bit of interest and skepticism. I was blown away by how good the burger and fries were. For me, the best I’ve ever had. Also, the decor of the place is quite comforting and warm. It’s minimalism reminded me of the Edward Hopper painting “Nighthawks”. I will go back everytime I’m in AMS

We'll never come back. We waited 55 minutes for 2 burgers and some fries. It was insane.. The people were nice, but staff was smoking outside, joking around and chatting while customers were waiting on their burger. No apologies for the long waiting time. The burgers are nice but no burger is worth waiting almost an hour.

I went there for a burger with my friends. We arrived and the ambience was appealing, the owners are incredibly welcoming and perfect hosts. We had a wonderful evening there as the homemade burgers and delicious beer were nothing less than a solid 10!

What an amazing experience. We were seated at the counter and had a great time with the waiter. The food was delicious. For me personal the best hamburger place I have ever been and one of the best experiences in a long time on restaurant. A big shoutout to the crew!
