Quite bad burgers. Only popular among British tourists who are less sensitive to tastes.

Nice burger place in the heart of the old town. The place is small not too many seats inside or outside and I feel if we came at lunch time rush hour it would have felt cramped. The jungle burger was very good, the classic was a bit over done and dry. Prices are reasonable, service was fast and helpful.

The service was unfriendly. We were told to sit at a table that still had ketchup on it, and it wasn't wiped down for us. The burger was subpar (comparable to McDonald's). My burger was missing some of the toppings (after complaining, I received a €1 discount). The value for money was absolutely terrible. The clientele was also rather odd.

A very average burger for €22 with a small Coke and fries that you absolutely have to ask for extra sauce on, otherwise they're inedible. The portion size is decent, but the quality leaves much to be desired. The meat is overcooked, and the bathroom is so small you can barely wash your hands. I don't know how Google recommended it as one of the "best-rated" places.

The vegan options ar SUPER GOOD, and the prices also Ibi attended us and he was great!

Food was very low quality, bun and patty tasted average, not exactly bad however not worth the money. Restaurant itself rather dirty with tables not particular clean. Staff was alright. Would not recommend going there.

Unfortunately, the burger didn't suit my taste or my wife's. The patty was very thick and rather dry, and the flavor just wasn't to my liking. Standard fries. Friendly staff. Prices are reasonable for the city.

Nice little place. Small and quiet (during our visit). Burger joint with okay burgers. The varieties and choices are great. I had the bacon BBQ burger. The pulled beef and bacon was a good add-on. Unfortunately, the patty was quite disappointing. Hard and chewy. I really missed the “juicy” texture. The fries were fine. Tomato ketchup packets as a tip: put two per portion of fries. The toasted sandwich, however, was truly sublime.

Chaotic and very poor hygiene. We didn't eat part of our food as the waiter who was handling money and everything just checked which burger it was by grabbing at it.

What a lovely place this is. I recently enjoyed a wonderful meal here on the terrace in the sun. The atmosphere in the Wijde Kapelsteeg is really nice and lively. Everything I ate was fresh and very flavorful. The crispy chicken pieces with the creamy dipping sauce were a particular hit. It is exactly what you are looking for for a relaxed afternoon in the city. I will definitely be back here soon for another round.

1 hour and 15 minutes wait. They failed to bring the food and drinks, and we had to explain that we had ordered twice. We ate late because they kept bringing nothing. They don't clean the tables until someone sits down. And to top it all off, the waiter didn't seem to understand English. At least the burger wasn't too bad. I would never recommend it.

We went there because it had good reviews. However, we were disappointed quite quickly. The seats were grubby and there were bits of food on the floor. What’s more, there was no soap in the loo. The toilet was also quite disgusting. We ordered the vegetarian set menu with a burger, fries and a drink. The burger was dry, the sauce was bland and generally quite tasteless. The fries were okay, but nothing special – comparable to frozen fries from the supermarket. The cold drink was the best thing about it, which is a shame. I really can’t understand the current review at all.

Decent burger at a decent price. No frills. Drink with the combo was a small bottled coke. Local beer for €3 was about a half pint, poured from a can. Walking around we saw some better prices at other places, but this was ok. The fries were really good. Service was pretty quick. They have indoor and outdoor seating.

I went back to the place, forgot I was here and even then about a year ago it wasn't a "hit". This time it was really bad, I ate a JUNGLE BURGER, luckily there was barbecue sauce to help smooth my throat, I won't come here again.

Great Food & Chill Vibes! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had a great experience at Jungle Burger! I ordered the sweet potato fries (€6.50) and the fried chicken strips (€6.50), and both were absolutely delicious. The chicken strips were perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, and the sweet potato fries were really nice. Not only is the food really good, but you also get a great portion size for the price!

Don't trust the 4.5-star rating, because this restaurant barely deserves two! I had a bacon and cheese burger with fries. The burger was truly tasteless; the only flavor I could distinguish was pepper, which was packed full of it! Plus, it was stuffed with two sauces that made it nauseating. The cheese was also tasteless, and the bacon was a tiny piece. The fries were decent, but nothing special, and way too greasy. And finally, the place felt unclean; my table was covered in grease/oil. Bottom line... At this point, it would have been better to go to McDonald's 🙃

Relaxed little burger place in the middle of the busy Amsterdam shopping area. Excellent food with vegetarian options, fast and friendly service. Good prices to be in the middle of ADAM. I would only wished for a little music and more jungle style decorations outside on the terrace to make the place a little more cozy. I will definitely go back here and can warmly recommend. ❤️

It still exists: an establishment right in the middle of a tourist hotspot where you can simply eat well. Simple, but effective. Truffle toastie thick skewers, fries & chicken tenders tasty according to my daughter. Generous portions: no going home hungry. Terrace in the sun in the middle of the day. Price/quality: 5 ⭐️ Service: 5 ⭐️ Bonus points for the clean toilet! Comment from daughter (17): "It's giving millennial burger place vibes." And as a millennial, I certainly agree with her. Discovered by chance, but we'll keep it in mind for next time🙋🏼‍♀️.

The place has a nice atmosphere and the waiters were nice, however the burger patties were very very dry and when we asked about it they mentioned that they prepare the burgers well done, it was one of the worst burgers me and my friends had

The place is small, but you can manage if it's not too crowded. A boy served us, very skillfully. Everything was delicious.

The burgers were good but maybe not good enough for the price , the vegetarian option could’ve been bit more interesting but overall we had a good lunch and the fries were very good. The staff was not very open and the space is pretty small but the atmosphere was nice anyways :)

The truffle burger had no truffle, it tasted like ketchup and mayonnaise only, way too much sauce. Bar chairs and table were wobbly, a super small place and no toilet paper in the bathroom. Unfortunately overrated.

When we arrived, the waiter (around 40 years old) was wearing AirPods and never removed them while talking to us. Because of that, he often didn’t understand what we were saying. He even brought a starter we never ordered and forgot our drinks until we reminded him. We clearly said we were vegetarian and don’t eat meat, and ordered two vegetarian burgers. After starting to eat, we realized one of them contained meat. When we told him, he remade it but didn’t apologize at all, which felt quite disrespectful. Overall a very poor experience. The food wasn’t even particularly good. I honestly don’t understand the positive reviews. I would not recommend this place.

I went there for a burger because it got ratings of 4.5⭐ (March 2026), but I would rate the patty itself is three stars (dry, tasteless, very small). Even the fries don't get more than 3.5. The restaurant doesn't look clean, the only person who was there the whole time went down to a cave underground and brought things from there. Not the most pleasant experience. In addition, when you buy a meal you get fries without sauces, and you have to pay for mayonnaise and even ketchup. I'm sorry for the bad review, but the current rating does not reflect what you get for your money.

It's a good option if you're craving a burger but don't want to go to the typical Burger King. It's very centrally located and easy to get to. The food is delicious and the portion size is perfect (not too little, not too much). The only downside is that it's a small place, so you need to be patient.

Small place, chicken burger was ok, but not massively different to a chicken burger from any fast food place. Tables are really close to each other and it feels like you’re sitting shoulder to shoulder with everyone. Service is friendly, but it’s a one man show so a little slow.

When you are craving hamburger, this is the place that hits the spot. They focus mostly on burgers and they do it well. Like a lot of places in Amsterdam, the place is small.

Excellent burger. I had the Jungle Burger which is delicious. My daughter had the basic burger and has eaten it all which is usually a struggle. As she put it, it's a big, tasty burger and not greasy, with fresh ingredients.

I tried the bacon and cheese burger and I liked it. The meat was cooked perfectly, the cheese added a nice touch, and the ingredients were fresh. It's a small place that specializes in burgers. They have several interesting options on the menu. It was definitely one of the best burgers I've had in a long time.

The burger itself was very mid and really not special. It felt like it wasn't made here but store-bought frozen. Fries were good, nothing exciting at all. Overall just a mid minus experience, nothing worth visiting. There are MUCH better places in Amsterdam to visit and spend your money on. Not worth it at all.

I went to "Tosti Joep" again today; behind Kalverstraat. It's actually called "Jungle Burger," but I'm giving it that nickname because I once had a fantastic grilled cheese sandwich there. Today I ordered a latte from them. Delicious. Joep, the owner, also took the time to talk with me about fun things to do around his business. And also in the wider area. It was fun! (Also important!) A small burger shop in a good location at the rear exit of the Amsterdam Dungeon, situated in a side street off the main shopping street.

The food is freshly prepared with passion. The prices are very reasonable for central Amsterdam. It's run by two friendly and courteous gentlemen.

The spicy burger with crunchy fries was really good and definitely a good enough portion to satisfy even a big hunger. Also with enough ketchup even if you use a lot.
