I’ve been ordering from them for two years, and the quality has improved over time. Their fries are some of the best I’ve ever had. The Smash Burger is also perfectly cooked. In my opinion, it’s the best burger joint in Amsterdam.

What a lovely place to stop by for a while. The atmosphere is very nice and the food certainly did not disappoint. I enjoyed an amazing burger, which was even decorated with a cheerful smiley toothpick. Everything was taken care of down to the last detail and the quality was top-notch. Definitely recommended if you are in the area.

its good but , I think its like a 5/5 burger for a guy that likes meat and burgers, but im more of a fresh burger person, i need some vegetables inside, like tomato and cucumber otherwise i just feel like its too fat, and there was only lettuce inside, so thats why I probably wont come back, but i definetely think its worth a try for burger lovers

Wow! I think many restaurants on Thuisbezorgd that deliver burgers and fries could learn a thing or two from this. It was *so* good! Not just tasty, but simply really good. The order was delivered quickly *and* everything arrived still deliciously warm. The fries were fantastic (just a shame the mayo I selected was forgotten), but that absolutely didn't spoil the fun. The burger? Hands down one of the best I've eaten in ages. The bacon jam deserves a deep bow: absolutely fantastic! The peanut butter on the burger personally worked a little less for me, but tastes differ, of course. All in all: top quality, top service, and definitely worth repeating!

Rirder uber eats. Fries not good at all: payatoes and sweet p. Meat is good, i like the sweet from onions. Just too bad the bread is not crusty at all. Feel more kike wet bread to me. Overall expensive despite generious portions. Would not order again.

I don't think I've ever had a burger this good. Definitely worth stopping in and eating. The place is quite small but cozy. The service is friendly and always smiles. I highly recommend it, and if I have the chance, I'll definitely come back!

Janana is tiny, around 18 seats, so don’t expect chaos, crowds, or any kind of rush. This place is chill to the point where even your thoughts start speaking softer. The atmosphere: music absolutely on point. Hearing Suede’s The Beautiful Ones in a small, cozy space just works. It’s the kind of place where you can sit alone, stare out the window, and pretend you’re in a music video or just quietly demolish a burger without judgment. Went for the smash burger, and calling it a “unit” isn’t exaggerating. Proper sear, great texture, no nonsense, just a solid, well-executed burger that gets straight to the point. Very tasty overall, but a touch more salt and some caramelized onions would’ve taken it from “very good” to “why am I thinking about this at 2am?”

I'm from Texas and I love burgers. I got the peanut butter smash cheese burger with bacon onion jam. This was the best burger I've ever had. It is a smash burger, so if you don't like the crusty thin patty, this isn't for you. But really. This had the perfect crust, very flavorful meat, generous portions of toppings and sauces. And what's more this is a no big deal kind of hole in the wall counter service place, and yet I had the best service I've ever had in a burger restaurant. They are genuinely friendly people who seem to actually enjoy their job and life. Literally impossible to be upset when you talk to them.

The Burger and Coleslaw was amazing!!! I loved the Lavender Lemonade as well :)) One thing to improve: the bench on the window is a bit narrow, i was kinda sliding off and not sitting so comfortably. Otherwise everything was perfect!

One of the best burgers I've had. Full of flavor, cooked perfectly, and the fries were generous and crispy. The drink selection is great as well. The atmosphere is relaxed and has a nice playlist (millennial rock). The person at the counter was also very friendly!

Best smash burgers in Amsterdam and nobody else is even close! (i’ve tried a few others) They have a variety of add-on sauces that go well with the burger. And if you’re unsure, just ask them. The chef/owner is more than happy to curate your perfect meal. You can even hear his passion oozing out when he explains. Personally went with the bacon jam and it absolutely adds so much depth to the smash burger. Fries are also generous! Cant wait to be baaaaaaaack!

Ordered a burger with fries and drink for 21 was actually done at that time, guy at the counter is friendly, got home, absolutely devoured this masterpiece of a burger, this is what I imagine when I think of a good burger, real exemplary job they've done here. Not much on the menu except their main burger but that's because that's what works and that's what they know is what's good on a burger. Absolutely amazing

10/10 burgers, we came in as Uber eats didn’t deliver to our hotel. The meat was cooked well and was soft but with a crispy outer crust, we added pickled chillies which was a nice touch! Great experience 🍔🔥

Very friendly, but the burger was disappointing. For €14.50, it only had three lettuce leaves and a much-too-strong garlic sauce. The aftertaste was like that of an unhealthy McDonald's burger. A shame, because the people were super nice and friendly.

Went there today and I must say, this is the best smash burger I had in Amsterdam. Quality food and well prepared. I had a meal deal with spicy sauce and it was delicious. Place is beautiful, clean and chefs are super kind. I will def be back!

Incredibly disappointing. Maybe it’s better if you eat in, but don’t get this delivered. Soaking wet bun, chewy over cooked meat, completely under seasoned. €50 for two for an inedible dinner.

I can highly recommend this place, the burger is fantastic (recommend the bacon jam), the fries with sauce are great and owner is amazingly kind - I went back after ordering to try swap my order of normal fries for sweet potato fries just a little too late and he ended up giving it to me anyway as an extra on the side 🥹 I was really touched and it made the experience feel very special, it’s so rare to receive this kind of service nowadays so I really want to praise them and hope you will choose to support them too! You won’t be disappointed! Also the choice of unique drinks was great, had a really good cucumber soda! Will 100% be back!

Amazing burgers & friendly guys

Been coming here a while, hands down the best burger in Amsterdam (after having tried many). The pickle jam & chilly are exceptional, the buns are super soft and fresh. Hits every time! And to top it off, service is excellent and super friendly, staff knows our order off by heart down to the sauces and that's truly great service.

Let’s start first by saying that the owner was really nice, he was very welcoming and explained everything very clear. The vibe was nice, and the place looked good. I liked the smashburger, the bun was soft and still had a good bite. I liked the meat and the cheese and normally I Don’t like lettuce but here it’s fine. My only problem that made the burger less nice was the amount of sauce, (mayonaise) which was way too much for me. I would definitely eat another burger if they would take at least half of the mayonaise off, which would make it a better burger. They use this kind of creamy Zaanse Mayo that could be changed to something else… The fries were good so overall a nice place that I recommend visiting.

Lovely friendly staff, nice interior. Was let down by the burger. I had the double cheeseburger, and it was just not great. It had loads and loads of mayo which was not nice and gave it a sloppy texture with the cheese. Would be much improved with another flavour there and non mayo based sauce to balance it out like a ketchup, mustard or relish. The meat was nice, thin and crispy at the edges but further into the burger it was really thick with no crisp - just an uneven smash I think. Fries were absolutely perfect and a very generous portion.

The burgers are alright but I had to wait 50 mins for my order while they said it would take 10 min. Edit - I placed the order via Uber and the restaurant works with Uber so I think that Janana is making their life a bit easy saying: "well that is all Uber." Also on the phone Janana confirmed that they made the order only 30 mins after I placed it.

Absolutely great burger! Super flavourful, juicy and a great crust on the burger as well. Crazy that we got fries for take out and even after an 30min and the fries cooling down they were still crispy!! My new go to for burgers

It is for sure one of the top 3 burgers i have ever eaten in Amsterdam and I have tried many places. The burger is really big and tasty. All the ingredients are fresh and high quality. The service is very good and kind too! I totally recommend it.

The place is quite small but well-organized, inside very cozy and clean. The owner is very nice, a person smiles immediately. Burgers with onions are fantastic, quite greasy but that's the type of food (maybe some fresh cucumber or tomato would be a nice option as an addition to choose to break the taste). The fries are also delicious. This is our first and certainly not the last time!

I absolutely enjoyed the burger and the great service from the owner (not certainly sure but I believe he is the owner who is always welcoming us and give good vibes anytime we visit) The burger is big, juicy and fulfilling, my most favourite burger in Amsterdam! The bacon jam is also really good, one day my husband wanted to try but I was not fully sure and he suggested us to put it aside so we both can try, we appreciated the offer :) was very good indeed! We once did the take away, since the burger is big, on that day i was not super hungry I didn’t want to eat a whole burger so we decided to order 1 burger and flies and we share together. He cut the burger for us and it was well wrapped. He mentioned it might drip but it didn’t. He really delivers his care and his kindness during the service and that also a beautiful thing about this place. Oh the cucumber cider is also well matched with burger! Must a try

The burger was not bad, without any additional toppings somehow like 6 out of 10, but with bacon jam it's much better, I'd give it 7 out of 10. Coleslaw is fine but nothing interesting. The service is nice and friendly. I can recommend visiting this place if you pass nearby.

Way too expensive! €4.50 for a topping on your burger, making you pay a total of €20. What you then need to look for is the sauce. And this one doesn't even cover the entire bun!!!! And then there are delivery costs! Update: Apparently I had already ordered here once! Picked it up myself today where I no longer pay Uber for cold bad delivery! Burger is really very good! I love paying for quality, but this is just a little bit crazy! Which means it now remains an exception instead of the standard citizen! Staff is very professional! I gave more stars but still a total of 2 considering the bizarre prices!

Went here a couple of times and really love it. Pro’s -Amazing and unique milkbuns -Delicious thin beef and aioli sauce -Fries are nicely crunchy on outside and soft on the inside Cons -A bit on the greasy side, i remember the oils came dripping from the beef right after serving but i guess thats to be expected of beef eh? :D All in all, amazing burgers and a must try
