Burger 'n Shake Amsterdam Noord in Volewijck

Review from Friday, August 15th. Decided to grab a bite to eat at Burger & Shake in Amsterdam Noord. The food was hot, prepared promptly, and the wait time was only 10 minutes. We accidentally got a burger with ketchup, and when I complained, they immediately gave us a new one. We also received compensation from a lovely young man. The service is off the charts. Thanks, guys. I'll see you soon. ❤️

Forgot to bring a milkshake. It took 45 minutes to get them, and instead of making a new one, they gave me one that was completely melted and had a piece of celery in it. They did give me a burger for their mistake, but I still had to pay shipping, and that burger stuck to the office. Edit: Today went better, so I added an asterisk. However, it's still not where it should be. The burger was delicious, but they made another strange mistake, see the photo (Kifesh, you're giving us a burger with two buns on the backside. These people are just rioting; they just don't care enough 🤣🤣🤣🤣).

We decided to grab a bite to eat there tonight. We were immediately directed to the ordering kiosk by a young woman who seemed to prefer not to be there. Fries and burger were delivered quickly. The fries with the skins on were quite tasty, but very little mayo for a medium portion. The burger was tasteless, but thankfully there was salt and pepper on the table. The biggest shock was the restroom, with a loose seat, a wet floor, and hand dryers that didn't work, along with a partially blocked door. I also found it quite odd that the iceberg lettuce was just on a shelf in the snack bar, just like the herbs, and on the way to the restroom, there were also kitchen utensils and food everywhere. Very odd. Shouldn't that just be refrigerated?

I have had a good experience at the other chains but this one was bad! First off the first bite was into a big chunk of cheese wrapper. Which was identified by the staff when I showed them and that was all they said. So I don't want to waste food so I go back to continue eating my burger wondering what else I would find in it. But actually it's what's I didn't find it. It came with tomatoes and onions which was in the first half but not the second half. Tasted ok but was cold and the fries where also cold actually had one fry that was hot so wondered what happened to the fries? Also the place was not busy at all. Just the worst burger I had in a long time. *****Update I got food poisoning!!!!*****

We happened to walk past here because we wanted to eat something. We asked the man what we could eat and halal. He gave us a few options. When we went to pick up the food at the counter, it smelled nice and fresh and the nice man also gave us an ice cream after dinner. Highly recommended if you are in Amsterdam North!

For the price it good food. Not pretentious and the guy making the food was an impressive hard worker. Owner should be thankful and help that man with an extra employee on work floor. He should not be doing everything alone.

Made an order through uber eats and everything was really bad. Milkshake was half melted. Burger was overcooked and dry Fries were soggy Burger sauce tasted sour.

The place has all the vibe and food quality of a third world fast food joint. The beef patty is extremely low quality, worse than supermarket bought, and the burger is drowned in a highly salty sauce to mask the lack of flavor of the rest of the ingredients. The place itself is unpleasant to be in, and the service is slow. If you're looking for a cheap bite and have absolutely no standard, maybe this is the place for you.

My favourite burger chain in Amsterdam. The Beef n Spicy and Fries n Spicy never disappoints. Service is quick and the food is consistently good with every visit. There’s vast amounts of seating space.

Placed an order for 34 euros, including 2 burgers and 1 hot dog. The hot dog was not delivered and the Burger and Shake branch does not know what recording means. In times when everything is so expensive, it is scandalous that you first forget the order and then do not take it.

It was a bit quiet on a Tuesday evening which is normal. There are 3 quite young people in the kitchen, I didn't necessarily have the idea that they knew what they were doing. The beef burger tasted a bit strange, there was an odor to it. Location Osdorp is my point of comparison, the burger there was simply tasty and well prepared, nice atmosphere, etc. Would therefore not go back to this one from north

Very nice meal with my family. Food was top quality. We had different dishes and everything was tasty, with the hot dog and loaded fries pulled beef as standouts. Furthermore, the staff was very nice and we were welcomed with a smile, they helped and they were really nice to the kids. Finally, there was a good playlist that matched the atmosphere of the business and the toilets were also easily accessible and neat.

Well I don't know what happened to this tent?? You can now suddenly order from such a column, the reason was (because they are busy) I had to indicate a table number.... No numbers to be seen anywhere. I went back to the lady who was standing there and I was given one of those alarm clock thing number 2. This lasted and it lasted. After waiting for a long time the lady decided to come to our table with the burgers. Says oooh that thing doesn't work...nice and handy!!! Food was COLD!! But they have deteriorated considerably. This was not a burger sandwich at all. Not only was it COLD, but it looked like they had first held the bun under the tap and then topped it with dry cold tasteless meat that was barely visible through a BUNCH of soggy lettuce and sauce. I say dirty! There was a time when you could really speak of a citizen. A real waste of your money! I have the feeling that someone else took over the name of the place, but you can't call these burgers and certainly not charge that much for them!

I went in to pick up my takeaway, and the experience was disappointing. When I arrived, the staff completely stopped assisting me to attend to another customer without even confirming if my order was ready. It felt unprofessional and left me standing there wondering what was happening. A simple acknowledgment or update would have made a big difference. Customer service needs improvement.

Visited the business last Monday and found the manager alone, which I thought was quite sad, but he was doing very well. My food was served quickly and the service was not only excellent, but the food also tasted delicious and the atmosphere was very pleasant. I had a good chat with the manager and played nasheed, which is rare in burger joints, but I thought it was very nice to see the place like this. Definitely recommended and thanks othman!

Nice employee. Loaded fries are more sauce than fries, fries are soft. Large portion is not super large. Regular fries are tasty. Location; enough seats Floor very filthy. Be careful not to slip. There is a sign, beware of slippery floors. Maybe better do something about this before something really happens!!! The sidewalk is also slippery on the way out. So wait for accidents. Music suddenly came on loudly, and it scared our family away. The groceries were on the floor towards the toilet. Not super hygienic. Certainly not worth repeating.

What a disappointment. We came here with high expectations after hearing that this would be one of the best burger joints in Amsterdam. We came specifically for the halloumi burger and ordered two. When the food arrived, we were given… sandwiches. That's right, cheap supermarket sandwiches with some vegetables and jalapeños. No halloumi, no burger, NOTHING AT ALL. When we asked about the missing cheese (the main ingredient of our order), we were told in a nonchalant manner that the cheese had run out, without even offering an apology or an alternative. So you knew we were only getting half a meal, said nothing and hoped we wouldn't notice? This is just bad customer service. To make matters worse, the burger itself was bland, poorly put together and didn't look good. It simply wasn't worth the money or the effort to come here. We asked for a refund, and although I got my money back, the lack of apology or any concern about the situation left a bad taste. If you don't have a key ingredient, at least inform your customers before serving them a sad sandwich with some veggies. In short: avoid this place if you expect anything resembling quality or customer service.
