I ate at this burger place today and ordered a veggie burger with fries and two dips. The fries were really tasty – crispy and well-seasoned. The burger itself was okay, but nothing special flavor-wise and rather unremarkable. I also thought the price was a bit high for its relatively small size. On the plus side, the service was friendly. Overall, the visit was okay, but the place didn't completely win me over.

The food was delicious, but Faht's excellent service and attention made it even better. We ordered a regular burger and one with gluten-free bread; he recommended several options and showed us that the truffle mayonnaise sauce was gluten-free—a very thoughtful touch. Unbeatable value for money in Amsterdam; I highly recommend it.

Terrible service and awful burger

A real shame regarding the service. The cashier was not very friendly and charged us separately for the hamburger, the drink, and the fries. The explanation was that I didn’t explicitly ask for the combo at the beginning. When I pointed this out, the cashier replied that the mistake was mine for not requesting the combo from the start. The price difference isn’t significant, but it felt dishonest, especially considering that as a foreign customer unfamiliar with the place, ordering all three items would normally imply the combo. The decent thing would have been to apply the combo price. Anyway….

Perhaps our best meal in Amsterdam. These are proper heart-stopping dirty burgers, we ate ours in an animalistic trance of beefy destruction. Great vibe inside that feels weirdly like a club, but it works very well. Absolutely what you need when in Amsterdam. Highly recommend!

It was a hit, the juicy meat, the super delicious caramelized onion sauce gives an exquisite touch to the burger. service quite fast, and super cozy place with good music to accompany food. 10!!!.

Gourmet Burger in Amsterdam is honestly one of the best burger places I've ever tried. The beef was juicy, packed with flavor, and cooked perfectly. The buns were fresh, the sauces were amazing, and the fries were perfectly crispy. My order had absolutely no pork, and that's the most important thing for me. Honestly, that's the most important thing for me, and my order was truly pork-free, which is something you rarely find in burger restaurants in Europe. I also want to thank the staff for their great service—especially Ola, who was super friendly and helpful.

Burgers are well prepared and tasty! Didn’t really get the ordering concept though. Is it screen? Personal service or self service or a mix? Could be made more clear to me. Further then that: has a lot of potential to do good in Amsterdam at that location!

The burger was very good, and the shop was very clean. I recommend Cheese Explosion :) Fahed was very attentive, and the entire staff was very polite and attentive. Definitely a must-visit place, add it to your list :)

Two people in our group later experienced symptoms consistent with food poisoning, which made the experience even worse. In hindsight, we should have read the other reviews before coming, as our visit matched many of the concerns mentioned. In our opinion, the products didn’t seem fresh and we didn’t notice any ingredients that felt high-quality. Moreover, they forced us to pay with cash without reason... Based on our experience, we honestly don’t understand the hype around this place.

for me it’s the best burger in Amsterdam, especially for not very high price as for this city, it’s really big and fantastic. Also the atmosphere in cafe in so cosy and comfortable, it’s a great place even just to spend there time with company and to relax. I definitely recommend it

I honestly believe that THIS IS THE WORST HAMBURGER IN THE WORLD. It took a hour to get it, when it finally came it was dry burnt meat, the bacon is not bacon, the bun is falling apart, the sauce is sour. Long story short it's a shifty place with disgusting food. DONT GO!

Delicious burger. The best in Amsterdam.

The burgers and fries are absolutely delicious! Unfortunately, the experience is somewhat marred by the fact that some of the staff seem very unfriendly. There are lamps on the tables that are meant to be used to call for service – but apparently, no one pays any attention. Ordering at the counter isn't a problem in itself, but then you wonder what the lamps are even for. Furthermore, there's a strong draft in the dining area, which unfortunately makes the experience quite uncomfortable. It's a real shame, because the food is truly fantastic!

A pleasant surprise with good, tasty food! The space is a bit small, with a slight air quality coming from the stairs leading to the upper level.

Great place to stop by if you need a gorgeous burger! I enjoyed the meal a lot but it did take a little while to get my order, however they were busy and the quality was exceptional. I'd certainly come back

Great place! We went in completely undecided, and left happy and… barely able to walk 🤣 The burgers were enormous, beautifully presented, and above all, delicious. The Black Angus and beef were pure poetry! Plus, the fried egg did the trick. The menu is so good that the hardest part is choosing—you want everything. The service is friendly, the atmosphere is great, and the portions are generous. We left stuffed and will definitely be back. Highly recommended!

I am not a burger person and i can say my burger was super delicious and fresh. The fries also perfect. Price/quality/portion: all great. The service was outstanding, very attentive. The choice of music also perfect.

Dont belive the high rating. The burger is dry and the fries is greesy.. everything tastes like supermarketfrozen food and its also pricy. You pay also for the Ketchup.

Please don't write "vegan friendly burger" if it's not the case. Also, inform yourself what "vegan" means; vegan is not at all gluten-free. I asked for it to be remade, and I was practically assaulted. Frankly, the service was also very unpleasant. The music is terribly loud; you can't hear yourself think.

The vegetarian burger wasn't very tasty, and the wait time (at 1 p.m.) was relatively long at 20 minutes. Otherwise, it's a good place. However, I wouldn't come back.

Lovely stay. Friendly staff. Super attentive. I've only ever experienced changing napkins and bringing fresh ones in a gourmet restaurant. And the cheeseburger and jalapeno cheese dippers were absolutely delicious. Good draft Heineken and great conversation. Perfect.
