Good restaurant and great service. I ordered the Hottie Burger with extra spicy sauce on the side and sweet potato fries. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The spicy sauce added an amazing kick that made the burger even better. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Overall, it was an excellent food experience, and this has become my favorite burger spot in Amsterdam.

It was the first place I have ever been to in Amsterdam 8 years ago and the burgers were fantastic back then. I moved away and finally had the chance to come back, the burgers are still fantastic. The patty is cooked to preference and juicy, the salade is fresh. The fries are tasty and the onion rings crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle. One of the places which has been consistently good. The staff is also friendly and attentive.

Actually pretty good burgers with nice portions insofar as the chips go. There are lots of options on the menu - beef burgers, chicken burgers, and veggie burgers. Personally I preferred the beef burger we tried, and the sweet potato fries were plenty for two people with free ketchup and mayonnaise at the table. The price is about average for a restaurant in Amsterdam.

We had absolutely amazing burgers here a couple of weeks ago. We had booked a table based on the reviews and we weren't disappointed! The burgers were generous and delicious. Two of us had the smoked bacon burger (I added caramelised onions to mine) and one had the vegan veggie burger. We all had fries. There were a lot of fries! The staff were friendly and even though we were there at closing time, we didn't feel at all rushed. It's quite a small place so it might be best to book. We really enjoyed the burgers and the playlist was great too. Would most definitely recommend and we'd like to return. It's on the number 2 tram route so easy to get to.

One of the best burgers in Amsterdam!! My boyfriend and I have eaten there twice now and it hasn't disappointed us yet. Here we had the classic cheeseburger with caramelized onions 🤤. The burgers are super juicy!! It is a bit pricey, but you definitely get what you pay for.

I’m honestly reluctant to even write this review. Selfishly, I’d rather keep this place a secret — because if more people realized how good the burgers at Happy Bull actually are, the line would probably be out the door and I wouldn’t get to eat here as often as I do. But credit where credit is due. These are genuinely some of the best burgers in all of Amsterdam. Perfectly cooked, incredibly flavorful, and consistently great every single time I come here. The staff are incredible — always friendly, welcoming, and clearly proud of what they’re serving. The menu is also impressive, with at least 20 different specialty burgers to choose from, so there’s always something new to try. The sweet potato fries and the regular fries are both absolutely delicious and perfectly done. So yes… part of me regrets telling everyone about it. But if you’re reading this, do yourself a favor and try it at least once. Just maybe don’t come at the exact time I usually do. 😉

Me and partner were in Amsterdam for a few days, and for a our last day we stopped here for dinner. Andre who seemed like the manager/cook, was very welcoming and helped with some suggestions off the menu. The chef Victor made some great food, some of the tastiest burgers I've ever eaten. The noise level was good, it was quiet and very quient too. We both really enjoyed ourselves 🙂

Wow! What a burger! The food here was so good, the burger was cooked perfectly and very clearly made fresh. The lady that served us was polite and friendly and the food came quickly once we ordered. Would 100% recommend coming here if you want a great burger - can safely say, one of the best i've ever had! Thank you for a delicious meal and we will be back the next time were in the city!

As a great “Mr Fat Burger” myself, I’m a firm believer that I know a thing or two about being a sommelier of fat burgers. And let me tell you: what a great burgers this place has. Great size, great variety, great all. Could they all be 2€ cheaper and 1€ cheaper the sodas? Definitely. However, a great place that I recommend to try.

The staff were courteous, and spoke good English. The food was amazing, the pulled pork was great, and my sister said about the chicken burger, "This is the best burger ever!" The adult of the party said that the beer was 'lovely'- high praise. Definitely a must-try location!

Nice choice of different Burgers. Service was excellent, fast and friendly! The food was very good and the sweet potatoes fries where just delicious, can also recommend the truffle mayonnaise as a side. And why not take a Milkshake as a dessert? I did and it was great! But keep in mind they have limited amount of seats and it can get crowded but definitely worth it! Can recommend! Try it yourself.

I have been coming to this place for more than 3 years. I think I haven't commented before, as you can see from some of the comments, in the past the employees here were either very unhappy or not good people (: there was a portfolio of employees who really didn't care about customer service. I didn't experience this during my visits this year, so I won't mention this part in this review, this is something they have fixed. As for the hamburger, I think it used to be better in the past, I think one of the effects of this is the degree of cooking. the last time I asked about this, they mentioned that for the medium degree of cooking, some health checks are required, I still think the hamburger is very tasty. The negative point is the bread, they are not very consistent in bread, depending on the day you go, sometimes you can encounter a dry bread or old one. So far the chance is %50 So in short you have %50 chance to eat a really good burger.

This place is simply lovely! The burgers are real units, you don’t have to be afraid of not being full. The burgers are customizable with additional toppings, but the ones on the menu are very tasty themselves too. The milkshakes are delicious too. Here you can customize with toppings as well if you feel like it. All in all, eating here was a great experience.

Service, food (I had the nacho macho burger), vibes, service(!) was all so great! Price is very fair for how good the burger was. A real insider tip for burger lovers. It was super tasty and reasonably priced. The ambiance is rather mediocre, and inside, it smelled strongly of the adjacent kitchen. There's not much space outside, and you sit right on the street. If you can overlook that, you definitely won't be disappointed!

The literal best burger I’ve ever had. Everything was so fresh and made well, and the bun was to die for haha. Also, their onion rings are made super well and with actual batter on them! Very nice service, also nice to find a bit of a calmer place in Amsterdam.

I think this was one of the best burgers I have had (i had the chicken avocado one). It seems pricey to have to order chips on the side, but the serve of chips is big, it is enough to share between two. Far better than any place in the centre of Amsterdam

Here is Jorrit the Burger Don™️ again, always looking for the best hamburger. The happy bull looked promising with a menu with quite a few options. From a classic to a pulled pork burger, and from crispy chicken to vegetarian. I like it when there is choice. There are also tasty sides and milkshakes. (Even boozy variants). We took the Turkey Bacon Burger and the Texas Burger, both with fries and 3 sauces. Burger sauce, honey mustard and BBQ. From the moment we sat down at the table, we had a good feeling that this was going to be great. And sure enough, 2 large burgers and a pistachio milkshake arrived. I'm going to be honest with you; It's been a long time since I've been blown away by a burger. The rise of the many smashed burger joints in Amsterdam often starts well, but then quickly deteriorates in quality. But the Happy Bull is not. Really so intensely delicious! The staff is also very friendly and the prices are really fair for what you get. We were also quite full afterwards. I'm just going to say it. The happy bull is my new favorite burger spot in Amsterdam. The burger Don™️ gives the maximum score! 5/5 ⭐️ Highly recommended ❤️

It starts with the ambience, you come into the store and it just has that Texas style. Then to eat the burgers not only look good but also taste exactly as they look, if not even better. Their own beer, Happy Bull Pilsner, is also highly recommended. In terms of price, you can't say anything about the burgers and drinks! The staff is great and very very friendly! I can recommend it to everyone!!

Perfect lunch spot and magical burger

Decent place, but nothing special. The burger was of good quality with nice meat, and I appreciated the fresh veggies. I tried the famous goat cheese burger, but it was terrible—definitely not my thing. The regular cheeseburger, though, was pretty good and tasted just right. The atmosphere and staff were fine—nothing to complain about, but nothing outstanding either. Just an okay experience overall.

Not bad, but nothing special. Cheap, tasteless tomatoes in the burger, the patty is fine but not well seasoned. The milkshake is flavorful but has a non-uniform consistency and a lot of pieces of ice. I don't think it's worth visiting this place again.

We decided to enter the place we found while walking on the road. I ate a burger, my wife ate a chicken burger. We both enjoyed our meals. A small warm place. The homemade ice tea my wife ordered was really delicious. I tried their own beer and it was very good. If you happen to pass by, I suggest you try it.

Lovely family owned eatery. We tried their new smashburgers with ethically sourced beef and they were really filling, but what keeps me coming back are their delicious chicken tenders and spicy bull sauce! I love that they provide moist towelettes with each meal too!
