What a great experience at Dandy Burger. I ate here recently and I am truly impressed by the quality. The burgers are fantastically prepared and incredibly tasty. I really enjoyed the fresh red onion on my burger, which really finished it off. Everything is served on individual paper, which gives it a nice look. This is definitely a place to remember. I will certainly be back soon for another bite.

Today while trying to find this place for a friend I discovered I did not write a review for my visit to this fabulous restaurant. I was on a holiday a year ago in Amsterdam when I discovered this gem. My writing skills can not do justice to the burgers they make. I believe everyone just need to go and tryout their burger. The burgers are best ones I ever had till now in my life

Delicious burgers! We had the Aussie and chicken burger. A nice cold glass of Portuguese wine and a beer to go with it. The people working there are super nice and enthusiastic. Casual, low-key atmosphere and nice seating. We will definitely be back!

My family and I stopped here while visiting Amsterdam and had one of the best burgers and chicken sandwiches we have ever eaten. Beyond the food, the whole team including the owner spent time getting to know us, not only as customers, but as people. I cannot recommend this place enough. You will love every second of it. We will be back here next time we visit!

Food was good and even tho it was the kings day and it was supper busy the staff were doing such a great job at handling guests and providing excellent service. A special shout out for (i think is name is randy) on his outstanding work.

The burgers' burger A small shop with fairly generic branding on a mostly residential street, it would be easy to walk past Dandy Burger without giving it a second thought. But we came after seeing the reviews and everyone is right - it really is the best little burger place you've never heard of. I had the Aussie Works burger, which has an improbably long list of ingredients for a burger, including beetroot, pineapple and a fried egg, but was the most messy, genuine, satisfying good time I've had in ages. Also had the roasted kriel potatoes with rosemary and garlic, which came covered in the jammy brown pan juices of roasted garlic. It felt like real food, rather than a combination that someone found online and recreated in the hope of going viral on tiktok, which is what a lot of stuff on menus in Amsterdam feels like. As a bonus, the staff were friendly and gave the impression of a good team who enjoy working together. They were very accommodating of our baby and our dog, and soon made friends with both. Do yourself a favour and check it out next time you are hungry and feel like a buuuuuuuurger.

Amazing juice burger and good service - didn’t expect this quality from Amsterdam honestly. If you check the website the place looks like to-go/pickup/delivery only, but they actually have tables inside, simple but clean and had everything you need. We had their signature double burger and grilled chicken burger. Both were delicious, but double burger was juicer and had more flavor. I think the main reason that any chicken burger will loose to beef by default. I can recommend the place! Prices are very good btw

The very first meal I ate when I touched down in Amsterdam! I read about the quality of the meat and had to try it myself! The beef patty is the most tender and moist patty I’ve ever tried. You know that the owner is very passionate about his work and recipe. The owner and the staff are incredibly kind and make you feel so welcomed especially as a solo traveller. I like my burger on the well done side and the owner personally made sure I got just that! Not to mention the fries are perfectly golden!! Stepped in this place today when they opened at 5. Immediatley i could see that the owner was involved and when they asked me how i'd like my burger medium or well done, that these boys are serious. I am an american who has been living in the Netherlands for 7 years and this is the first time that I have had such soulful food at a decent price. The buffalo sauce tastes sooo authentic and finally onion rings that are crispy and delicious. Burgers phenomenal and cooked with care. I will most certainly be a loyal customer from here on out! Logged in on wifeys account to make another review. 12 months on and a lot has changed in the world. Luckily Dandy Burger has decided that consistency is key. Small tweaks to the menu are there but overall if it ain’t broke why fix it? Burger was juicy but bun was not soggy even after my bike home in the cold. That’s craftsmanship! Extra dandy delights are delicious and couldn’t even finish them after the burger and curly fries😅 hats off to Dara and the team, keep doing you! I’ll be back for sure!

Ugh, not great!! Everything was freezing cold, burgers and fries. The burgers looked rotten, and they're charging €17.50 for them, without a side! The fries were way too few when you're charging an extra €5.50 per portion. Not recommended.

After having heard so many great things about this place we decided to try it out ourselves. And it must be said that all praise is absolutely deserved! The quality of the food is outstanding. I never realized that there could be so much flavor in a hamburger. The meat was just fabulous, juicy and firm at the same time, cooked to perfection. Dandy Burger has a range of toppings catering to all needs and a wide variety of sauces. A particular mention should go to the ‘sauce of the house’. We were told it takes them 48 hours to make and you simply taste the craftmanship. The side dishes are also worth trying. We had wonderful curly fries and crispy fried oyster mushrooms, which was new to me. It came recommended by the staff and what a great surprise it was. Something to remember for sure. Finally, a short word about the chef and his staff. It has been mentioned many times before, but they are a true delight. If only all restaurants managed to have such friendly and client focused people. See you again soon!

Simple things done right, which is rarer than it should be. What really surprised me was the place itself. When you hear “burger joint,” you expect grease, sticky tables, and controlled chaos. Not here. This place is spotless. Seriously clean. You can tell there’s discipline behind the scenes, not laziness hidden behind “vibes.” Great variety of beers too—clearly chosen with intent, not just whatever distributor pushed this month. Now, about the few negative reviews I’ve seen already: honestly, they say more about the reviewers than the place. Anyone trashing this spot either doesn’t understand how meat works, has never set foot behind a kitchen pass, or is too stuck in their fantasy expectations to notice real effort. If you’ve ever actually worked in a kitchen, you’ll recognize the care and consistency immediately. I’ll absolutely be back—to try the rest of the menu, not because I need to, but because they’ve earned it. This place deserves better critics—and more regulars who know what they’re eating. Can’t wait to come back!

The burgers & fries are tasty, but someone needs to teach the cooks what "medium" means. I've ordered twice, and the patties haven't even been cooked to medium rare. With ground meat, that's negligent. Not taking another chance with them

FIREEEE!! We ordered Dandy Burger through Uber Eats after having serious munchies and ohhh wow. Easily one of the top 3 burgers I’ve ever had. Ingredients were fresh, burger meat was cooked to perfection and the sides were also delicious. The food travelled really well too was still piping hot when it got to us. Chips were perfectly seasoned n so tasty which can always be a hit or miss from takeaway spots. Honorable mention to the pesto fries and double beef burger with bacon. When I’m back in Amsterdam I’ll definitely be ordering from here again.

Dandy Burger isn't just a place for a great meal! The owner, a fantastic Australian bloke, is working his tail off, often I think all alone (sometimes with a little weekend help), to deliver some of the best burgers you'll ever taste. Yes, the wait time can be long, but it's only because of the truly insane amount of orders pouring in. Be patient. Your food will be delivered with great service! 5 stars. Over and over again!

Five stars for Dandy Burgers in Amsterdam! Juicy burgers on perfectly toasted buns, with crispy bacon that steals the show. Everything is thoughtfully prepared. Next time, I’m definitely ordering the wings, the owner let us try a couple, and they were outstanding: extra crispy, deep-fried, and slathered in his own buttery hot sauce. Some of the best wings I’ve had in a long time. He even gave our 2 year old daughter mozzarella sticks while we wait. She really liked them. The food is fantastic, but the owner makes it unforgettable. Hands-on, warm, and clearly passionate about taking care of his guests. That jovial Australian energy stands out in the best way, such a refreshing change from the usual Dutch directness (also nice in its’ own way :) In short, great food, and one of the top service experiences we had in the city. Highly recommended!

I have travelled a lot of countries and sampled burgers where ever I go, Dandy Burger (Amsterdam) are, hands down, the best burgers I have had. I highly recommend the special sauces that can take up to two days to prepare. They mainly cater to takeaway orders but have a quaint sitdown diner. The owner Dara, is passionate about his creations and very welcoming.

Really, really, really good burgers! Customer service is a bit unfamiliar territory here. They don't seem used to guests eating on the spot. For example, we didn't get a glass with our beer. We had to grab napkins from the counter ourselves. And we were given one fork between the three of us to eat the one salad we wanted to share. But actually, that unintentional clumsiness has its charm. I did enjoy it. Maybe just keep it up, because here it's all about really good burgers, good fries, good onion rings, good sauce, and homemade coleslaw. Delicious!
