Bistro de Smederij in Wijk 00 Hengelo

The food was delicious. Friendly service.

We celebrated our wedding here; it was very well organized, the food was of high quality, and the service was great, with host Jim being the standout. It was amazing how Jim was able to adapt when our wedding cake didn't show up.. It was arranged so well! Highly recommended for weddings as well!

Great location, good comfortable seating, super delicious food and correct, efficient service

We had a delicious meal in a cozy and atmospheric setting; the food was more than excellent, both the fish and the meat, and the staff was friendly and attentive. In short, worth repeating.

Top service, my beer wasn't even empty for 10 seconds and there was already a new one (they know what I want 💪)

Service is 10/10, fantastic. I didn't have to ask for my next cold beer 🍺🍺🍺

Cozy atmosphere Friendly service Meat and starters / dessert prepared with flavor! Highly recommended for a fun night out

We had a delicious meal. Friendly service and wonderfully tender tournedos! Also a very nice terrace.

Bistro de Smederij is a nice restaurant in Hengelo, with a great menu and very friendly service. The food is delicious. The value for money is excellent!

We had a delicious meal here! We enjoyed all the dishes, the portions were large enough, and we were allowed to change tables when we found it too crowded! Truly a fantastic evening!

We were here on Monday and really enjoyed ourselves immensely. The food was truly of an exquisite standard, and then there's the service. Really very good! Compliments to the whole team! Hats off.

What a sweet, young, and enthusiastic team! Very hospitable and dog welcome; he immediately received a bowl of water, and when our food arrived, a small bowl of dog biscuits was placed on the table... never experienced anything like it before. We will definitely come back again because everything tasted delicious. Thanks for this experience.

We had a delicious meal, beautiful dishes, a nice atmosphere, and friendly service. Highly recommended!

Delicious food! Good service. A top-notch experience and a true taste sensation!

We managed to get a table for two on the public holiday, even though it was full. Super friendly service, great food, no long wait, and a pleasant atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Had a delicious meal, flavorful dishes, friendly service, and a nice atmosphere. Definitely recommended!

Beautiful and cozy restaurant with delicious food and the option to eat in the garden. The tuna steak was really delicious!

Had a delicious meal here. Friendly service. Nice atmosphere. Would definitely go there again!

Very tasty salmon with a surprising sauce, the chimichurri steak was super delicious. The accompanying apples and a kind of chips/fries were tasty. Everything beautifully presented and the service friendly. Highly recommended.

Had a delicious meal in an atmospheric setting with friendly staff!

Delicious food, a relaxed atmosphere, and great service! They're always open to feedback and really take the time to listen to their guests.

Always delicious and cozy. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The outdoor terrace invites you to enjoy long evenings of drinks with company. A real asset to the region!

A fantastic restaurant. It's located in an old blacksmith's shop with a lovely courtyard and a very tastefully decorated dining room. Very cozy and warm. The food was consistently good. The steaks are especially recommended. It's a shame we're only here on vacation. Otherwise, we would definitely come back more often.

Atmospheric restaurant and delicious food. Highly recommended. The staff is very friendly.

Tonight, we were pleasantly surprised by the exceptionally good food and wonderful personal service at De Smederij! We're staying at a wellness resort for a while and are looking for gems for a good meal and everything that comes with it.

Top restaurant! A fantastic atmosphere and incredibly delicious food! Not exactly cheap, but incredibly delicious!

Nice atmosphere, good food, nice service.

Had a BBQ outside, very tasty food, nice staff.

What a delicious meal you can have here in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Truly delicious. The BBQ is also highly recommended. It's simply fantastic here!

Saturday afternoon/evening we had a BBQ from work. The atmosphere and the food were amazing 🥰 I can't tell you how expensive it was!! It was from FSN. There were 16 adults there.

Delicious food, cozy atmosphere and friendly service.

The food from beginning to end was fresh, tasty and very delicious!

Nice restaurant with a large patio. The staff is largely the same as at Hansen & Jansen. So friendly.

Nice place with good service and atmosphere. The food just doesn't match the prices. The €35 steak is pure salt, and the Black Angus burger is well-done, not medium-rare.

Heerlijke sangria, aanrader.♥️ Eten was heerlijk. Restant spare ribs mee in doggybag. Tot slot zong de bediening enthousiast verjaardagsliedje. Terwijl we nr 4 waren die avond 😳. Wij komen zeker keer terug.

Very tasty food, good atmosphere, friendly staff!

We had a fantastic meal. And the service was super friendly and very accommodating! A very young team! We will definitely be back!

Had a delicious meal with 20 people.

Great food, nice atmosphere and friendly staff

Had a nice meal in the garden, nice atmosphere, friendly staff. Some annoying flies. But it's warm and you're sitting outside, a bit to be expected.

Enjoyed a delicious meal in the garden

Simply good and tasty food, nice and fast service.

Cosy, warm and delight place with really good food and excellent staff❤️

Wonderful atmospheric restaurant with a menu with delicious dishes!

Delicious food! Absolutely recommended! Many choices and flavors are very good. Lovely terrace and good chairs inside and a nice atmosphere.

Delicious food, Black Angus steak

What a super nice atmosphere... good friendly service. Keep a close eye on everything. Keep up the good work

Delicious food, surprising! Great staff and a cozy setting.

Top location! Staff very friendly and the food was of very good quality! Had a Christmas menu and it was really tasty 💪

Just enjoyed the game menu. The food was great, there was enough time between courses, the portions were perfect. Semi open kitchen so there was plenty of life. The atmosphere was good, it was not too busy but still a nice noise. And the service was top notch. They asked just enough questions if everything was satisfactory, very friendly, came for a chat and spent the evening with a genuine smile. I had a nice evening!

a nice atmosphere, very friendly staff. I opted for a wild menu here. With the four-course menu I received the amuse for free.

Delicious food in a cozy atmosphere.

Was there for the first time and it is highly recommended

Very tasty food....cosy, atmospheric ambiance

Had a drink with colleagues, service could be better. You'll get the drink eventually. Snacks also good.

What a super beautiful Bistro! The service was great! The food was delicious! The appearance is very cozy! Highly recommended!

A super cozy environment, both inside and outside. The food is great and lots of choice. Highly recommended for everyone to go and experience for themselves how nice it is there.

Delicious dinner. Very attentive waitress, offered another table in a quiet corner after a noisy party had arrived.

Beautiful surroundings, really great dining. The super enthusiastic team really makes you feel like a 'guest'. Recommended.

Main course black angus. Very dry meat and not juicy. Even if it was medium-rare. High prices and also €7.50 for a bottle of spa blue. Regular tap water is fine as 'table water' with a glass of wine and does not suit this ambiance. High bill (€155) for 2p with no more than average experience….

Nice location with an amazing outside where you really feel like you are on the beach. Hop into the lounge mode and enjoy. We'll come again soon.

Delicious food in a nice cozy atmosphere

Wij hebben ontzettend lekker gegeten. Bediening was erg vriendelijk.

Great ingredients. Well prepared. Good service attitude of the employees. Clean restroom.

Eten was heerlijk, personeel was vriendelijk.

Sehr sehr gutes Lokal, hervorragendes Essen.

Heerlijk gegeten sfeervol restaurant, fijne bediening!

Erg lekker, maar hele grote porties. Die mogen best wat kleiner. Heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Aanrader.

Heerlijk 3 gangen menu gegeten. We komen zeker terug.
