I'll definitely be back. What an incredibly nice place, but even more importantly, the staff is incredibly friendly. The waitress who took our order was incredibly friendly, but also attentive. And that certainly doesn't disappoint the rest of the waitstaff. I had a delicious egg, spinach, and salmon omelet, highly recommended. Want to relax and enjoy? Go to Bosloods 1873!

Update 09/2025: Delicious lunch! Photos added. >>> A quick break during the walk. The terrace was full and the weather was beautiful. French atmosphere. Despite the crowds, the service was quite fast and the welcome from La Patronne was friendly. A tea was served beforehand. It was very well presented. See photo. The lunch menu is extensive, and the choice was quickly made. It was served shortly afterward: we enjoyed the friendly welcome, the atmosphere, and of course, the lunch. We'll do it again!

Incredibly friendly service. We were served homemade cake with our coffee, along with delicious homemade apple pie. Compliments! We wanted to buy a piece of homemade cake with our coffee, no problem.

Cozy restaurant. Unfortunately, the bell pepper/tomato soup tasted more like red pepper soup. It looked nice with a basil leaf filled with seeds. But with the first bite, I broke out in a sweat, it was so spicy. And that lasted for fifteen minutes afterward. The bell pepper/tomato flavor was completely absent (or no longer?). A real shame, especially for this rather expensive soup: €9.50. I did mention this, but "everything is homemade, so that's possible." Too bad...

This is a lovely terrace for coffee and a treat, lunch, or drinks (haven't tried dinner yet). It's set in a delightful wooded area next to Vorden Castle. You do need to be patient, though, as the service isn't fast, but it is very friendly. All in all, a lovely place to relax.

What a delicious, flavorful club sandwich I had here! Even if the rest of the food were half as good, it's still highly recommended. The service was excellent and friendly; I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area!

Not good. Ordered a beer and my partner went to get an ice cream. We were sitting at a table where people had just left. The waiter offered to bring the beer and clear the table. Neither happened. I ended up going to the bar myself. We were ignored the rest of the time. A lot of patronizing, but not competent.

Locatie is prima, bediening(meiden) ook Maar prijzig en kwaliteit is vooral veel sla en weinig van wat je (denkt) kiest op de (lunch) kaart....biefstuk op brood(wilt u wit of bruin, ...wit graag...en je krijgt...bruin) maar wel zoeken naar de biefstuk (puntjes)...zalm op harde (pizza achtige )bodem...kom op ..moet niet zo moeilijk zijn..

On a quiet warm Sunday afternoon sat on the terrace. Great spot. The cheese board with nut bread and chutney was initially delivered without bread and chutney. Garlic sauce as an alternative. (?) I was here at the annual brocante Fair. I ordered a cup of coffee and a piece of monchou cake. I had to wait 36 ​​minutes before I got a cup of coffee and a piece of monchou cake. You can't make an old woman or an old man wait half an hour before they can pee?? This is really scandalous. This is the very last time I will sit down here to have a drink or something to eat.. It is scandalously disproportionately expensive and I still had to pay €8 for a cup of coffee and a piece of cake that was more Mous and whipped cream. The table next to me had an apple pie that wasn't cooked And just came out of the oven..

On Whit Monday there was an antique and brocante market at Kasteel Vorden. The Bosloods were not fully prepared for this. Standing in line for a cup of coffee is no problem, but waiting 45 minutes is a bit too long. There was also table service. Here you had to wait more than 1 hour for your order. Many people who had already ordered left early. So another order that had to go back to the kitchen... People at our table were given paper instead of porcelain cups with coffee. They did not accept this and wanted their money back. The staff was not well prepared for this either. Due to the crowds and the many inquiries, they became very nervous and started to answer the customers unfriendly. There was also not very experienced staff deployed. The young man who was deployed to bake the mini pancakes was also very inexperienced. He really radiated that. What is a no go is to touch the food with your bare hands several times to feel if it is cooked..... Now I have to say that the coffee and tea tasted good. Nicely served with a bonbon and a glass of advocaat with whipped cream. The monchou cake was also very tasty.

Leuke locatie in een van de bijgebouwen van kasteel Vorden met heerlijk terras. Op deze drukke dag zat het er helemaal vol. Vriendelijke dames in de bediening, maar onze bestelling werd na lang wachten verkeerd afgeleverd. Daarna nog een ijsje gegeten van een ijsboerderij in Borculo. Dat ijs zat helemaal vol ijskristallen, een teken dat het al te lang in deze vriezer zit: niet lekker en geen reclame voor Dommerholt.

Delicious food! Something for everyone. An extensive menu, good prices for delicious food, friendly staff, beautiful surroundings... I could go on and on. The weather was great, so the ice cream bar was open, and you could enjoy a scoop of ice cream outside for dessert. A great location, highly recommended!

Gisteren, 11 mei 2025, liep het de bediening duidelijk over de schoenen. Het was dan ook erg druk. Eerst al lang gewacht op een vrij tafeltje, daarna duurde alles ontzettend lang. We hebben er 1,5 uur gezeten voor een broodje en een drankje. Ook nog eens zeker niet goedkoop, en de kip ok de club sandwich was duidelijk op rantsoen, 5 stukjes kip, meer was het niet. Er viel een glas bij een ander tafeltje, de scherven hebben er zeker 10 minuten gelegen, terwijl er ook diverse honden liepen. Jammer, want de locatie is prachtig en het personeel van goede wil, maar dit viel ons enigszins tegen. Toch jammer met moederdag, als je je moeder mee uit lunchen neemt. Hier valt zeker meer van te maken.

Wat een leuke plek! Prachtig gelegen en leuk van binnen. Personeel enorm vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Lunch mooi opgemaakt en lekker. Bij een glas wijn nootjes erbij, dat vind ik altijd leuk! Het zat goed vol, dus we waren blij met een tafeltje. Straks met mooier weer prachtig terras om te zitten. Niet rolstoelvriendelijk, maar wel met wat moeite te doen. Naast kasteel Vorden dus genoeg moois te zien en fijn wandelgebied.

Bij onze 8-kastelen fietstocht ontdekten we dat er op het landgoed van het mooie kasteel Vorden ook een leuk restaurant is, de Bosloods. Het was er flink vol, altijd een goed teken. Sfeervolle inrichting. Correcte bediening. De stevige vegetarische mosterdsoep miste iets, al weet ik niet precies wat (misschien wat bosui?); de bitterbal erbij was overigens een leuk idee van hen. We gaan hier een volgende keer proberen te dineren, dat lijkt ook heel aantrekkelijk.

We had a wedding celebration supper here with friends and family. The food was exceptional, beautifully thought out and presented and tasted superb and the general decor and table decorations were beautiful and full of character. Staff were really friendly and we were extremely well looked after. Wonderful atmosphere and care! Definitely want to return!

The coffee here is excellent and comes with a little extra something (whipped cream and syrup, and a seemingly homemade cookie). The service is quick, friendly, and cheerful. Portions are generous, and everything tastes excellent. They use local ingredients, and you can taste the difference.

Hot chocolate (choice of white, milk, or dark) was offered with chocolate chips that you can add to your hot milk.

When we arrived it turned out that something had gone wrong, there was no table ready and we had to improvise to give us a very tight spot. Other guests had to move and shift.
