Bosloods 1873 in Wijk 02 Vorden

Wat een leuke plek! Prachtig gelegen en leuk van binnen. Personeel enorm vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Lunch mooi opgemaakt en lekker. Bij een glas wijn nootjes erbij, dat vind ik altijd leuk! Het zat goed vol, dus we waren blij met een tafeltje. Straks met mooier weer prachtig terras om te zitten. Niet rolstoelvriendelijk, maar wel met wat moeite te doen. Naast kasteel Vorden dus genoeg moois te zien en fijn wandelgebied.

Bij onze 8-kastelen fietstocht ontdekten we dat er op het landgoed van het mooie kasteel Vorden ook een leuk restaurant is, de Bosloods. Het was er flink vol, altijd een goed teken. Sfeervolle inrichting. Correcte bediening. De stevige vegetarische mosterdsoep miste iets, al weet ik niet precies wat (misschien wat bosui?); de bitterbal erbij was overigens een leuk idee van hen. We gaan hier een volgende keer proberen te dineren, dat lijkt ook heel aantrekkelijk.

We had a wedding celebration supper here with friends and family. The food was exceptional, beautifully thought out and presented and tasted superb and the general decor and table decorations were beautiful and full of character. Staff were really friendly and we were extremely well looked after. Wonderful atmosphere and care! Definitely want to return!

Very nice place, beautiful terrace when the weather is good, but inside it is very worthwhile in terms of decor. Delicious lunch. Will definitely come back.

To celebrate a very festive event, we had made a reservation here for lunch. When we arrived it turned out that something had gone wrong, there was no table ready and we had to improvise to give us a very tight spot. Other guests had to move and move up. We waited for at least fifteen minutes. The comment "can happen" in particular struck us as wrong.

I specifically ordered caffeine free cappuccino for me twice due to essential tremors and now my hands are shaking tremendously. Fantastic place for coffee and something tasty or lunch. On the various terraces and covered outdoor area you can always find a place of your choice in shade or sun. Employees are extremely friendly and good at their job. Patient and attentive, not rushing. Please inform yourself carefully when handing over the menu about any dishes that are not available. Sometimes you have to wait a little longer for the coffee/drinks, but it is more than worth it because of the presentation and pampering. Lunch was tasty and served promptly. Highly recommended!

Very poor and slow service. Don't ask if you want brown or white bread and drinks ordered came after lunch arrived. Had to wait 45 minutes before anything was brought to the table. People just walked away were tired of waiting.

Due to the crowds, it took an hour before we were served a (relatively easy to make) lunch. The ladies waiters were polite and helped well, but did not warn in any way that it could take a long time. The food served was, in a word, substandard, poorly prepared, bordering on burnt, and with canned/pre-packaged ham downright bad. The bouncer's eggs had clearly been randomly thrown into the pan and thrown onto the dry and too thickly sliced ​​butterless brown bread after staying in that pan for too long. My wife's sad balls of falafel were accompanied by half a slightly burnt pita bread and an immense amount of lamb's lettuce without any dressing. The falafel came with a tiny container of bad, flavorless garlic butter. So if you want to eat something, don't do it at the Bosloods, with apologies to the service, who did their best.

Bosloods ligt op een fantastische locatie in Vorden. Buiten is een heel gezellig terras en binnen ziet het er helemaal geweldig uit. Als je ooit gaat trouwen, kies dan deze locatie. En vergeet dan vooral niet de appeltaart want die was voortreffelijk.

High tea for three, homemade and delicious fresh products. We sat between two groups where there was a lot of chattering. Well solved by being able to sit elsewhere in the room.

The food is tasty but not much for the price, the children's menu is not suitable for children (large potato wedges with skin), the service is not very attentive, we had to keep asking to order food/drinks. The accommodation is cozy with nice walks from the castle.

Fantastic! Had a lovely lunch this afternoon. What was so fantastic? - The location. Surrounded by lots of greenery in a monumental and attractively decorated farmhouse. Next to a coach house of Vorden Castle. With a lovely terrace. - The staff does everything they can to make the guests happy. Helpful, personal and friendly. These people enjoy working there and it shows. Very nice added value. - I had the tastiest vegetable croquettes ever here for lunch! Filled with red cabbage on super fresh dark bread and some crispy fresh salad with a delicious dressing. - The fresh orange juice was also delicious. - The cappucino was very tasty and was served with a piece of excellent banana bread and a tiny glass of eggnog with whipped cream. Original and all equally delicious. Can't I think of anything negative? Not really. But if I had to mention something it might be that it fills up quickly. Reservations for dinner a few days in advance seem necessary. Absolutely recommended!

Ball and chicken sandwich 1 hour waiting time, with a half full terrace. In short, you forgot the receipt, you ask for the order and then say that there are still 2 receipts (no meal was served the entire time.) It's fine to wait, but I can't stand lying. After 2 minutes of asking for the order, it is suddenly on the table. Tasted good and the location is great. But lying is simply a No Go.

This restaurant is located in beautiful surroundings. It is wheelchair accessible and has good parking. It is possible to eat and drink both inside and outside. Suitable for large groups. Arrived at the Bosloods on Saturday at 4:30 PM and took a seat on the terrace. After fifteen minutes I asked if there was service on the terrace. It is said that someone will come to us soon. At 5pm we still hadn't seen anyone so we left.

We wanted to eat something today, but that didn't work out here. The service was not really customer friendly, she was noticeably not looking forward to it, and after a long wait for the lunch menu, she paid for the drinks and enjoyed lunch elsewhere. Shame.

We had a High tea. Was tasty, nice service. We only had to pay attention to the dietary requirements communicated in advance on the spot. Mooie locatie, genoeg personeel en vlotte bediening. Ik lees andere reviews dat die traag zou zijn, daar heb ik niets van gemerkt. We waren met een groep van 7 mannen, we hadden een reservering gedaan. Mooie grote tafel, lekker bij de kachel. Eten was prima, koffie uitstekend, met een heerlijk stukje kruidkoek!

Bezoek in september Na een weekendje Vorden zijn we na het uitchecken naar het Engelse festival in kasteel Vorden geweest. Op deze dag was het heel warm en na een aantal dieren shows waren we toe aan wat verkoeling. Dit vonden we bij Bosloods 1873, we vonden een plekje in de schaduw waar we eerst een plekje met een ander stel deelde. Het hele terras zat vol en het was echt spitsuur. Ondanks dat werkte de medewerkers keihard door en met een glimlach. We bestelde een pannekoek, de kroketten, de tonijnsalade en de Thaise salade. Al onze gerechten waren lekker. Aanrader: Thaise salade. De taartjes die we voorbij zagen komen zagen er ook heel goed uit. Mischien voor een volgende keer.

Door de drukte, een wat mindere service

Ik wou appelgebak maar die was binnen een half uur al op Mijn man had mon chocolade taart. Moesten lang wachten voor er iemand kwam voor bestelling. De wc gaat dicht met een vreemd schuifje. Als je last van claustrofobie heb kun je het even moeilijk krijgen. Voor de rest was het er mooi zitten buiten.

Helaas geen aanrader. We bestelden scones met clotted cream en flamkuchen en 2 ijs thee. Forse prijs, 25,50. We kregen flammkuchen die niet gaar was en kurkdroge cake achtige scones (met slappe slagroom in plaats van echte clotted Cream. De jam die erbij geserveerd werd was super dun, meer saus. Zoek eens een goed recept op internet voor scones, ze zijn super makkelijk te bakken (bbc good food heeft een fantastisch recept) de bediening was wel heel aardig. Alleen bij de kassa aangegeven dat we niet tevreden waren en daar werd niks mee gedaan. Tja, dan krijg je dus een review op internet.

Heel erg gezellige plek om even uit te rusten tijdens een fietstocht of na het bezichtigen van het kasteel.

Secluded location inside the forest of the Vorden castle. There was a very nice warm from the oven apple pie as well. The prices are cheap. We will return for sure.

Lekker plekkie naast het kasteel èn in het bos. Mooie sfeervolle zitjes en aankleding. Koffieverkeerd werd mooi aangekleed geserveerd (beetje weinig melk)- gebak was smaakvol.

Hier een high-tea gehad was allemaal erg lekker maar het duurde allemaal zo vreselijk lang, terwijl er personeel genoeg rondliep. Ook een tegenvaller was dat ze geen Pelikaan thee erbij serveren maar gewone zakjes Pickwick. Omgeving is erg leuk om te zitten.
