I'm sorry to say, but the owners are incredibly rude and impolite, even a bit passive-aggressive, towards their guests. You don't feel welcome here. The food isn't fresh; it mostly has thawed ingredients. The restrooms are dirty.

Al meerdere keren hier gegeten lunch/diner en elke keer top. Het eten is echt goed en ook de medewerkers in de bediening weten waar ze mee bezig zijn. Ze hebben oog voor hun gasten, maken een praatje maar werken ook door. De atmosfeer binnen en buiten is heel fijn. 2 gedeeltes in het restaurant waarvan de ene een beetje bruin café uitstraling heeft en het andere gedeelte hip/modern. Mooi bedrijf wat is overgenomen door een jongere generatie sinds een paar jaar, samen doen ze het met veel energie en ze hebben ook een goede keukenbrigade om het geheel compleet te maken!

Om 17.00 kom er geen borrelplank meer besteld worden. Dit is volgens mij toch echt de tijd dat mensen een borrel willen drinken met wat te eten erbij, maar helaas de keuken kon het niet meer maken.

Very good meal. The spareribs were really good, nice and soft, well seasoned. Tasty crispy fries and good side dishes with vegetables. We had a nice quiet spot and the staff was friendly and fast. Highly recommended for a good quality bite in an eatery!

Very good and delicious food on Sunday evening, we first went to the neighbors, but were turned away at 7.15 pm because they were too busy and the kitchen was overstaffed. They recommended us to eat at the Herberg, this was very good advice, the service was great and the food was very tasty. The only thing that didn't go well was that I received the wrong order, but it was handled correctly by Tim the manager with apologies, it is still human work of course. We will definitely go back to have a nice meal at the Herberg, nice people work there. Good for each other.

The meat in the center of the pan of the microwaved stew was still cold. Returned to the waiter. The fries had also cooled down considerably and were almost cold. While paying the bill, the bartender asked if everything was OK. When I indicated that the food was cold, he asked if I had received coffee as compensation. So no, the waiter didn't even notice that our drinks glasses had been empty for half an hour. No coffee and also had to pay the full price.

Ate here with a group of about 15 people. Besides the fact that the staff was very friendly and open, the food was very tasty. We enjoyed it!

Na een lange fietstocht hadden we trek in lekker eten. Dus via TripAdvisor de reviews gelezen. Maar we werden prima en snel geholpen. Het was heerlijk mooi opgemaakt en was erg lekker. De toegift was de notenkraker een topper. Kortom wie in Vorden lekker wil eten bij deze restaurant kan dat zeker.

Settled down at one of the many occasions in Vorden. We don't regret our choice. We had a super tasty onion soup served in a large brown bun with melted cheese. The multigrain bun “healthy de luxe” was an absolutely delicious sandwich. Everything was absolutely delicious! An absolute winner! Good, fast and friendly service. Lovely radiant heaters on the wall and if it is still too cold, there are soft blankets. The orange juice was definitely fresh. The coffee is good and all in all we can recommend this establishment! “De Herberg” is the place to be!

Logerend in B&B Huize Midwijck, op advies van één van de bewoonsters, op naar de Herberg. Niet gereserveerd, maar personeel heeft toch n plekkie voor ons. Gezellige sfeer, vriendelijk personeel, en heerlijk eten. Halverwege kregen we te horen dat we toch langer konden blijven zitten. Dus na t uitbuiken nog op ons gemak een koffie met likeurtje kunnen nemen. Kortom, super service op alle fronten!

De veganistische pasta was niet heel bijzonder maar op zich wel lekker. Restaurant was heel gezellig en sfeervol. De vegetarische quiche was lekker.

Bijgerechten waren friet, gebakken aardappels en een heerlijke salade. Was echt meer dan genoeg. Dessert kozen wij: chocofestijn en notentrio. Ook veel en erg lekker. Met...jawel...echte slagroom (mis ik bij andere restaurants. Personeel erg vriendelijk. Terassen buiten ook erg sfeevol. Wij komen zeker nog eens terug. Complimenten voor de kok en eentje extra voor de manier hoe het eten gegarneerd werd, prachtig.
