We regularly visit restaurants listed in the Michelin Guide, especially in Eindhoven, where we live. We visit this restaurant very often. Compared to other good restaurants, this one has a sommelier who selects precisely the perfect wines for each dish. It seems like the wines and the food complement each other incredibly well. The food is always excellent, and so are the accompanying wines. Nothing but praise for this restaurant.

The quality of the dishes doesn't reflect the quality of the people who prepare them: they always smoke in the private area of the other apartment, without considering that people live there!

Tonight, ten of us enjoyed a delicious five-course meal. It included two amuse-bouches, a very small arrangement, and a lovely explanation of the wine. Afterwards, we had coffee with a grappa and a sweet treat. I can only say it was a fantastic evening. I know I shouldn't take pictures of the food, but it was definitely worth it, so I'll do it anyway!

Luckily, I live nearby, so I can go there regularly. Because the food is truly excellent! Everything is perfect: the food is delicious, the service is friendly, and there's something for everyone. I love coming here for the delicious sole. But they also have a surprise menu. Various little extras, delicious olive oil, appetizers, and other extras. I'll definitely be back soon. I think a sole for 47 euros is a fair price. If I may make one comment? We ordered a starter (without seeing the menu) on recommendation and ordered a sea bass appetizer, which was also included in the surprise menu that evening. It was a small dish and very tasty. That they then later charged 26 euros for it under the name of tuna, even though we didn't have any? I find that strange. The price may be right. But such a small amount of sea bass compared to such a large sole seems a bit unfair. It won't stop me from coming back. It was wonderful again!

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Eindhoven. And what a delicious meal we had here today! We opted for the 4-course menu. The two amuse-bouches we received were delicious, and every course was delicious. I thought the wasabi ice cream with the fish tartare in the appetizer was original and fantastic. The recommended wine with the main course was surprising. Everything was delicious, thank you! I thought the service was very good and friendly. We'll be back soon!

I chose this bistro because I read in the reviews that they deal well with allergens. The dishes on the menu are almost all gluten-free. If a dish were to be chosen that contained gluten, it could be adjusted. Great! The amuse was adjusted in a gluten-free version. We had a delicious meal. The dishes are served on beautiful tableware. The eye wants something too. Bistro Sophie is recommended. If we lived near Eindhoven, we would go to Bistro Sophie more often.

Deliciously surprising surprise menu taken. The dishes that were reserved were a taste sensation delicious. The wines that were served with it matched the dishes perfectly. We will definitely come back again.

On a whim, I decided to dine alone and opted for a four-course menu accompanied by a curated wine pairing. The cuisine was nothing short of exquisite—each course a masterfully crafted composition of outstanding quality. Regrettably, the wine selection failed to meet the same high standard, revealing considerable room for improvement. The Riesling from the Palatinate lacked the invigorating freshness and elegant acidity one would rightfully expect from such a varietal. Equally underwhelming was the excessively opulent Chardonnay from France, which displayed little finesse. The final disappointment came in the form of a Primitivo blend from California—its overwhelming weight and lack of balance making for a rather discordant experience.

Had a fantastic culinary evening. 5 course surprise menu chosen. Each dish was perfectly prepared, with a delicious combination of flavors and beautiful presentation. Good quality of the ingredients and creativity in the dishes and serving. Excellent service and very hospitable. And a delicious apple syrup sauce ;)!

As a couple we had a 6 course menu with a wine arrangement, great service, dishes looked great and tasted great. Good quality, after my opinion a little too much fish (3 courses out of 6) could also have included a vegetarian or game dish. Furthermore, the cooking of the meat in the main course was great, but it's a pity that the potato tart tasted a bit stale... We also had a nice explanation about the matching wines from the nice service. Thank you very much for the nice find.

Bistro Sophie offers a vegan surprise menu and I took the 5 course menu. Unfortunately, except maybe for one course, it felt that each vegan course was the lesser variant of the meat/fish course that the others in the group received . Three courses were not much more than a few boiled vegetables in a salty sauce, quite inspirationless. Eating boiled vegetables I do at home, here I hoped for some culinary surprises, but alas.

We had our anniversary dinner in this reataurant. We had four course menu. First of all yo whom thinks they wont get full in such a restaurant I need yo say even four course was enough to get full. Furthermore plated erte amazingly delicious. Prices are fair even I can say cheap for such a classy restaurant.

Went here last week to celebrate my birthday with some friends. The food was fantastic, really nothing to complain about. Everything was of high quality and tasty. A big plus is that they handle allergens excellently. The ingredient substitutions were carefully chosen and matched the dishes perfectly, allowing everyone to enjoy themselves without a hitch. Unfortunately the service was disappointing. We had to ask for water several times, there was hardly any checking whether everything was as desired, and the service seemed to do the minimum. This didn't feel in line with the prices and level you would expect. In addition, we found the wine arrangement less so. Of the wines, only the first and last were really appropriate and interesting (for the After it was just White port). The rest of the wines unfortunately missed the mark for us (Between, Main) We opted for a 4-course meal, and while the food was really great and the allergen policy is a big plus, the service and wine selection meant that the experience as a whole didn't quite meet our expectations. With a little more attention to details, Bistro Sophie could really be recommended.

Met een gezin van 6 volwassenen namen wij het 6 gangen verrassingsmenu. Wij zijn inderdaad verrast met het menu, een samenspel van kwaliteits ingredienten goed afgestemd met de mooie wijnen. De lokatie is goed, de bediening was top. Enig klein minpuntje is dat de serveerster binnen 3 minuten aan tafel stond met de nogal dwingende vraag of we bubbels wilde hebben. En dat snap ik wel, maar het moment, koud binnen, was niet goed. We hebben maar bruis water genomen. Maar dit heeft geen invloed op de algehele waardering. We komen zeker een keer terug.

Wat een heerlijke ervaring! Van amuses tot de friandises, alles was tot in de puntjes uitgewerkt. Wij kozen het 6 gangen verrassingsmenu, waarbij mijn vriendin voor Vegan koos. Beide waren sterk. We gingen van start met één amuse met tinten van truffel, fris en een lichte mousse. Vervolgens passeerden coquille en 2 witvisgerechten te revue. Allen uitmuntend waarbij een speciale vermelding op zijn plaats is voor de kreeftenbisque met de perfecte ziltige touch. Ik had ook de gelegenheid om wat van de vegan tegenhangers te proberen, ook die vielen bijzonder goed in de smaak bij ons. Hoog op smaak met verrassende elementen. Noemenswaardig zijn nog de warme ambiance, de betrokkenheid van het personeel en de lycheesorbet die als vegan optie werd geserveerd bij de koffie & thee. Lang verhaal kort; dit restaurant is absoluut de moeite waard, hier wordt met passie gekookt en gewerkt en dat voel je aan alles!

Our experience exceeded all expectations! From the outside, the restaurant may seem small, but the moment we walked through the door, every minute that passed.. our expectations were surpassed. We were fortunate to have Borjan as our waiter, and I’d also like to mention the two women who were attentive and helped serve our table that I didn’t asked for theirs named! We visited because the restaurant is recommended in the Michelin guide, and it truly lived up to its reputation! We had the 5-course menu, which was absolutely delicious, featuring a great variety of fish and meat. Before we even received the menu, we were served two complimentary snacks, which were also delicious! And the dessert, no words!! I would definitely return! The quality was outstanding, with amazing flavors and the kindest service. It’s a small detail, but they even provided a little stool for my bag (since I put in the floor), showing just how attentive they were to every detail.

We ate here on a warm Saturday evening and sat at the front of the restaurant. The four of us ate a delicious four-course menu with beautiful matching wines. Sympathetic service, wine explanation, water and a good ambiance in the restaurant itself. Located on a pleasant square where the terraces were filled later in the evening. In terms of parking, they recommend a Q-park, but if you are smart, you can book the Parkbee just a few minutes from the Bistro. A nice address!

Noisy with a group of 15-20 people beside us (an exception according to the waiter) Food was OK but not special. Some things very salty, vegetarian dishes we like the meat dishes, without meat. I had high expectations, but was a bit disappointed tbh.

We had the last table of the evening. We wanted to go for the six course menu. We were informed that this was no longer possible. It was already late. It was clear that they were in a hurry. The corridors came together very quickly. The male waiter at our table was a lot less customer friendly than the lady who took over later. The table was not properly monitored. We had to ask for a new bottle of water and top up the wine ourselves. The food was okay, but there are better places in Eindhoven. Location is nice and it also looks nice inside.

We went here to celebrate my 40th Birthday. The food was okay. The tartar was not as good as others I've had in Eindhoven. It was strange to watch the staff scrubbing down the restaurant while we were still eating. Other open concept kitchens you actually see the chefs cooking, which makes the experience more inclusive, but we could only see the closing down of the kitchen, especially since this is a Michelan star restaurant.

Once again we thoroughly enjoyed it, (one of the) very best restaurant(s) in the city!

Afgelopen woensdag gangen diner gehad van mijn man zijn werk. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar. Onwijs lekkere en prachtige gerechten . Ook meer dan voldoende. We waren met een grote groep, maar alles kwam op een fijn tempo door. Er werd goed rekening gehouden met ieders wensen/uitzonderingen.

Sfeervol restaurant, mooie inrichting en fijn dat de tafels relatief groot zijn en je niet te dicht bij andere tafels zit. De bediening is erg aardig en goed. De eerste twee gangen waren erg lekker, voor ons viel het hoofdgerecht en het zoete dessert wat tegen. Minder gebalanceerde smaken dan de eerste twee gerechten.

Top avond gehad, heerlijk gegeten en er is super goed rekening gehouden met allergieën.

Gelegen aan een leuk plein. Een mooie inrichting en heerlijk eten. Het is allemaal wat chiquer. De bediening is vlot en gastvrij.

Don’t be mistaken by the “Bistro” label. This is a high end restaurant with a great ambiance and fantastic food.

Laat ik beginnen met te zeggen dat we echt heerlijk hebben gegeten! Wij kozen voor het “speciale” menu dat behoorlijk wat duurder was dan het reguliere 5-gangen menu, maar dat had te maken met speciale ingrediënten, tafelwater en koffie en thee inclusief. Hoewel het eten echt goed was, vonden wij het de meerprijs niet waard. Bij gang nummer 5 waren we een van de laatste tafeltjes over en werd er overal om ons heen al opgeruimd en schoongemaakt, ook kwam er niemand langs voor de koffieronde. Op een gegeven moment besloten we maar af te gaan rekenen. Daar werd ook helemaal niet meer gevraagd of we echt niets meer na hadden gewild. Beetje teleurstellend voor de prijs die je er voor betaalt.

Ontzettend genoten van het signatuurmenu. Absoluut een aanrader.

The food is underwhelming. Looks beautiful but the flavors lag behind. On top of using only very ordinary ingredients, the food is under seasoned, the plating takes your expectations high and doesn’t then live up to those expectations. Sparse use of spices, No creativity in developing the flavor profile. Staff was a but inattentive. Overall quite disappointing and most definitely not worth the price.

Ik had onlangs een geweldige ervaring bij Bistro Sophie in Eindhoven. Het restaurant ziet er gezellig uit, waardoor ik me meteen op mijn gemak voelde. De 6 gangen die ik heb geproefd, waren stuk voor stuk heerlijk. Elk gerecht was prachtig gepresenteerd en de smaken waren voortreffelijk. De wijnen die bij de gerechten werden geserveerd, sloten perfect aan en verrijkten de culinaire ervaring nog verder. Daarnaast was het personeel zeer vriendelijk en attent. Ze zorgden ervoor dat ik me welkom voelde en waren behulpzaam bij het geven van uitleg over de gerechten en wijnen. De algehele sfeer in het restaurant was ontspannen en gastvrij, wat bijdroeg aan een memorabele avond. Ik kan Bistro Sophie ten zeerste aanbevelen aan iedereen die op zoek is naar een culinair hoogstandje met een warme en gezellige ambiance. Ik kijk er nu al naar uit om terug te keren!

Fancy restaurant, but familiar enough so that you will know what you're eating. Superb service, much better than in similar places downtown. I would recommend the surprise menu.

Werkelijk een feest voor de zintuigen, in een vriendelijke setting. Heerlijke, creatieve gerechten, geweldige wijnen. Mijn favoriete concept: under-blabla & over o-wah! Echt een aanrader. Heel klein advies; old Amsterdam is een enzym-oud gemaakte kaas, geen echte oude kaas...dat zou ik vervangen door echte oude kaas.

Heerlijk in de buitenlucht gegeten. Bij ieder gerecht uitleg wat het was en bijpassende wijnen. Ieder gerecht een plaatje voor het oog en tongstrelend in de mond. Zeer zeker de moeite waard om vaker te gaan

Niks negatiefs te vermelden, uitstekende keuken, super bediening, kom hier eten dan weet je wat ik bedoel❤️

Fijn restaurantje en zeer vriendelijke personeel. We hadden niet gereserveerd, stonden ook nog op tijd en toch voelden wij ons zeer welkom. Een mooi 5 gangen-menu met bijpassende wijn mocht onze zintuigen strelen. Vooral het voorgerecht, tartaar van zeebaars met een saus van passievrucht tezamen met een briljante Riesling, waren een feestje.

Vriendelijke mensen, lekker eten, leuke kaart. Hier kom ik graag nog eens terug.

Een fijne culinaire ervaring gehad in dit restaurant. Wij hadden een 5 gangen menu met bijpassend wijnarrangement. De gerechten waren uitstekend, mooie opmaak, prima portionering, goede afstemming van smaken met dito wijnen. De prijs/kwaliteitverhouding wat betreft het eten en drinken is prima. De tijden tussen de gangen varieren naar gelang de drukte en zouden wat ons betreft wat langer mogen duren. Achterin het restaurant zijn comfortabelere stoelen dan aan de voorzijde. Aan de voorzijde staan simpele houten stoeltjes waar ik het niet lang op uithoud. Dat was achterin gelukkig beter. De toilet was rommelig, zag er onfris uit en past zeker niet bij een restaurant met een vermelding in de Michelingids. De bediening was vriendelijk, maar maakte wel een paar foutjes bij het serveren van de verschillende soorten wijn bij de verschillende gangen. Is nadien gecorrigeerd. De tafel werd tijdens het diner niet ontdaan van kruimels/etensresten. Ook dit past niet bij een restaurant van dit kaliber. In dit restaurant word je bediend en niet verzorgd. Dat is het verschil tussen een vermelding en een ster.

Heerlijk! Wij hadden het 4 gangen menu van de chef. Mooi, lekkere smaken, afwisselend, verrassend. Vriendelijk personeel en goede tijd tussen de gerechten. Eén ding: ik vind €7,25 voor een alcoholvrije champagne wel echt overdreven.. Een domper op een heerlijke avond.

Eten is goed, service minder. Ik dacht een goed restaurant te hebben uitgekozen omdat deze goede reviews had. Het eten is goed, maar de service vind ik minder. Zo leken ze ons bijvoorbeeld met dessert vergeten te zijn, heb ik ruim een uur gewacht op een kopje koffie terwijl de meeste gasten al naar huis waren. Ik zou naar een ander restaurant in dezelfde prijsklasse gaan.
