DOYY in Rozenknopje

This restaurant is for sure in my top 3 dining experiences! Everything was top in all aspects! The food was very tasty and the ingredients were in full balance! Such a harmony, that i cannot really describe with words! The service was also outstanding and i was feeling like a special guest. Make sure to visit this place, i highly recommend it! I was told that the dinners are booked for the next 2-3 months, but you should be able to book it for lunch. Once again thank you for the great experience! I will visit you soon again ;)

Best in town! Fantastic restaurant with fantastic food, drinks, and service. They've outdone themselves again; their skate wing dish deserves a special compliment.

Everything was so great we actually forgot to take a photo! The food, service, and atmosphere were all top-notch. We had such a lovely time — can’t wait to come back!

What a hidden gem! Go experience it! I won't give too much away, but you'll get some fantastic food with some wonderful surprises! Everything is served with a smile and a friendly word. I can't think of anything negative and will definitely be back! We had the 6-course surprise menu for 95 euros: definitely worth it!

Unfortunately, it wasn't quite the experience we'd hoped for, given the many positive reviews. What was particularly noticeable was the noise; not only in the section where a large group was seated, but the number of tables is quite high for the space. The service is welcoming, the food is excellent, but the portions, especially the main course, are very small. The price-quality ratio isn't quite right. We won't be returning for a while.

My wife and I dined here last Thursday. We chose the 6-course menu. The food was delicious, although three courses were too salty, even though the flavors were excellent. But that's the only minor complaint. The accompanying wines were also very good (as chosen). The restaurant is comfortable, and the service is very attentive and friendly. Definitely recommended.

The food was delicious. Delicious and unique flavors. The only minor drawback was that it was noisy, making it difficult to hear the staff.

Overall, it was adequate, but nothing outstanding. The dishes were tasty, but largely lacking in creativity. We got the impression there were too many tables for the staff, resulting in late responses or simply not being handled properly. Requests made during reservations weren't recognized by the staff on duty. That can happen, but the way they reacted made it seem like we'd done something wrong. It's also quite noisy, which at times feels more like a cafe. Simple water is charged a hefty price. All in all, a good meal, but the overall experience doesn't match the price-quality ratio, and therefore falls far short of a Michelin star.

It feels a bit double leaving this review seeing that other reviews are so excellent but my boyfriend and I go to restaurants like this quite often and we always hope for the best experience, unfortunately we saw quite a bit of room for improvement. Starting with the menu of bites at the table, we found that a bit cheap looking as we had the five course dinner planned and this way it felt like the restaurant is trying to upsell. The beginning of the dinner was great, bread, amuse and starter arrived quickly. We were especially impressed with the starter which was an explosion of flavour in your mouth. What I missed though was the wine arrangement to come with the dishes. Our wines always came after the dish and it wasn’t paired with the dishes either, my boyfriend had different food from me but the wine was always the same for both of us. The food was really nice and vegetarian friendly as well but not in a boring way. It was honestly impressive that they went out of the box thinking of different options for vegetarians as mostly those tend to get repetitive. The first course for me was really salty though. I think it had way to much soy sauce, it was quite unpleasant to eat. And lastly, it took a really long time for first course, second course and dessert. To the point where we were not even that hungry anymore as we had to wait so long. Overall Doyy is a nice restaurant but not quite the experience I was hoping for.

After every visit, we keep saying to each other, "What amazing flavors!" It's truly a treat to be able to eat here. The weather was wonderful...

A wonderful evening out. Beautiful dishes and delicious pairing wines. We enjoyed a five-course dinner with an aperitif, appetizers, and wine. For us, that's a truly complete evening out. The food is excellent, exceptionally flavorful, and beautifully presented. The flat-table tap water for €5.50 per bottle was an unpleasant surprise. It wasn't mentioned anywhere beforehand.

Best restaurant in Eindhoven. Period. Not even a star restaurant can compete! Service, wines, coziness and of course the taste experience of every bite of every dish is phenomenal! Every time again enormously surprised! Was there with my best friend and she is vegan with gluten allergy. Really, every dish she got I was jealous of. So much attention paid to it!! Toppers!!!!

A very recommended experience. At Doyy, you can see the care that they have for every single dish, with a gorgeous presentation and an amazing combination of flavours. The sauces in every course leave you wanting more. The fish always cooked with perfection. The menu certainly has its highlights, but it's hard to choose the best between the welcome bite and all the way to the closing friandieses. The chef and the very friendly staff know what they are doing. Great place in Eindhoven.

No tan sabroso, el servicio está bien. No es adecuado para estar allí con niños pequeños. Tomó 1 hora para traer comida para un niño. Y trajeron carne cruda para un niño de 4 años.

I have been here multiple times with my friends. This time I took my family and we were a large group. The experience was disappointing. The first two courses went well but afterwards all courses had extra salt. Even after sharing feedback that there is too much salt in food after every course, they kept sending salty food. My fish was garnished with salt 😣 To make matters worse , they overcharged us. They put additional drinks and food that we did not even consume. I corrected them twice for the items but they still overcharged us for water. According to them, our group had 8 bottles of water. More than 1 bottle of water per person. The entire experience was ridiculous, highly unprofessional and no longer worth returning.

Top! Nice reception and service. The only downside for me was the acoustics. Every dish was delicious! And the amuses were great! Recommended!

Yesterday afternoon we had lunch here with a group of 6 people. Besides the fact that the food was really perfect; the amuses, all 5 dishes equally tasty and delicious friandises, the service was absolutely top. That light, cheerful atmosphere made it completely complete.

Sublime cuisine where the kitchen brigade are magicians. The taste sensations are astonishing. A young sommelier and friendly service. Too bad the place looks a bit 'cluttered'. The dimmed lighting does not allow the eye-catching dishes to come into their own visually. It is also a pity that more than €10 is charged for a few glasses of water. On the total price of a dinner, it would suit the restaurant if those few glasses of water were poured for free. Another location should be considered to upgrade the level to excellent.

Really fantastically delicious food. All dishes very high in taste and prepared with care. As a vegetarian you will really get your money's worth here, I dare say that sometimes people looked jealously at the dishes of the vegetarians at the table 😊. Price quality ratio is really fine for a wonderful evening out. We will be back soon!

What a great experience at restaurant Doyy! From the moment we entered, we felt welcome. The atmosphere is cozy and stylish, with round tables that make the dinner intimate. We started with delicious amuses, followed by dishes such as oysters, foie gras and delicious Pata Negra. The main courses afterwards are a true revelation for your taste buds. And to finish, a surprising vanilla ice cream with olive oil and caviar. And with the coffee delicious friandises. The wine list offers nice choices that go well with the dishes. The staff is enthusiastic and creates a nice atmosphere. Doyy is an evening experience that you should not miss. Highly recommended for those who love good food and conviviality!

We like to come to our fine dining address on the edge of the center, where we can still go for a modest price. The dishes are always highly flavored with beautiful flavor combinations. The ambiance is in a cozy setting, the service is correct and casual with a pleasant atmosphere.

I went there once. WORST DAY EVER. I walked in, a woman who worked there rolled her eyes at me. I sat down, the same woman came over and threw the menu at me. When I was done and wanted to get food, a man came to me, I said what I wanted to get, and then he said "I expected you to get so much, I can see that you eat a lot." I think his name was Alex. I got my food. but I only got 2 of the 4 things I bought. when I wanted to pay. I had to pay for all 4 things.

Vriendelijke ontvangst, mooi tafeltje aan het raam. Sfeervolle inrichting. We kozen 4 gangen lunchmenu met bijpassende wijnen. Vooraf kregen we diverse, prachtige én heerlijke amuses. We namen nog een extra specialiteit van het huis, nl een lepeltje kaviaar. De gerechten waren geweldig, mooi van opmaak en smaakvol. De wijnen er bij pasten er goed bij. De friandises bij de koffie waren ook al weer zo mooi, en lekker. Prijs/kwaliteit prima in balans.

Perfect eten en fantastische service en bediening. Ontvangst en aandacht van hoogste niveau. De hele avond een groot succes.

Gezellig en sfeervol restaurant met fantastisch eten. Bijvoorbeeld de chef's special, heerlijke coquilles met een mooie verrassende smaak. De bediening was vriendelijk, snel en behulpzaam en nam ook even de tijd om kort wat te vertellen over de zaak en het interieur. Dat interieur was ook bijzonder want er was een kleine wijnkelder gecreëerd die van boven met glas afgedekt was. Sfeervolle verlichting liet de wijncollectie mooi zien. Grappig detail was dat veel gasten er een beetje omheen liepen terwijl je gewoon prima over het glas kan lopen en er ook een paar stoelen op staan. We komen hier zeker nog een keer terug!

Op en top ‘af’: de onberispelijke, schitterende keuken; de gepast-gereserveerde maar attente bediening; de gepassioneerde sommelier; de bijzondere extra’s zoals de uitstekende kaviaar met historie.

We waren door omstandigheden vanochtend in Eindhoven en besloten om deze reden maar eens bij Doyy binnen te stappen voor de lunch. We hadden dit restaurant ook al als advies van anderen doorgekregen als locatie voor uitstekend eten tegen een nog zeer vriendelijke prijs. Bij binnenkomst worden we vriendelijk ontvangen door de gastheer en naar onze tafel gebracht. Het restaurant is donker & sfeervol ingericht. De wijnkelder is door middel van een deels glazen vloer zichtbaar, muziek staat op een plezierig volume. Er wordt ons gevraagd of we zin hebben in een lekker aperitief en we kiezen hierbij voor een Prosecco Rosé. We krijgen hierbij als byte een krokante cilinder met crème van ganzenlever en een crumble van havermout. Erg lekker, begint zoet en eindigt met een lekker pitje. Vervolgens krijgen we een 3-tal amuses gepresenteerd om de smaakpapillen even wakker te schudden, als is dat een understatement: ze krijgen alle hoeken van het smaakpallet te zien! 3 kleine kunstwerkjes maar grootse smaakexplosies: • Brioche aangemaakt met rode biet, een cremeux van burrata met daarbij paling en granny smith. • Meringue van cèpes, daar boven op ponzu, een cremeux van diverse soorten paddenstoelen (girolles & trompette de la mort). • Tuille van kerrie, tom kha kai, witte chocolade & ananas. Nu is het vaak al zo dat de chef met zijn amuses wil laten zien wat hij in huis heeft en deze amuses maken duidelijk dat subtiel hier niet in het woordenboek staat. Ik denk overigens dat dit de beste set van amuses is die we ooit op hebben, welke werd bevestigd door vrouwlief. Hierna hebben we nog een kleine extra byte genomen: Een Perle Noir oester met schuim van champagne, roerei & kaviaar. Heerlijk, maar dat kan ook bijna niet anders. Verder kwam er natuurlijk een lekker (luchtig) zuurdesem broodje op tafel te staan met roomboter en een huisgemaakte boter met gerookte paling. Erg lekker! Deze keer zijn we voor een voor ons doen voor een beschaafde lunch gegaan en hebben de volgende 3 gangen laten passeren: • Licht gerookte en gepekelde makreel, bouillon van heldere tomaat, vinaigrette van persillade (mengsel van peterselie & knoflook), wat mosseltjes en een schuim van gefermenteerde sjalot -> Het groen en wit spat van het bord af en dat geldt ook voor de smaken. Het scherpe van de gefermenteerde sjalot en het zuur van de vinaigrette & tomaat snijdt heerlijk door het vette van de vis. • Krokant gebakken coquille, bouillabaisse, schuim van gefermenteerde knoflook, vinaigrette van kerrie met mango & bospeen -> Wauw…. Wauw wauw wauw… De coquille is perfect bereid: krokant gebakken van buiten, nog licht glazig van binnen. Maar die combinatie van de bouillabaisse met het schuim… geweldig! • Hazenrug, wildjus met fruit, spitskoolrol met hazenpeper, rode kool, witte biet & pastinaak -> De geur van de jus komt je al tegemoet als het bord je wordt voorgezet. Verder is dit gerecht herfst op een bord. Comfort food van de hoogste orde. De hazenrug is super mals en de hazenpeper past perfect bij het grijze & gure weer buiten. We hebben een 3-tal fantastische gerechten gepresenteerd gekregen. Zowel qua compositie als smaak. Tel daar de amuses bij op en dan kan je niet anders concluderen dat dit een koopje is voor 50 euro p.p. (Even niet het drinken & de oesters meegenomen). Je vraagt je vertwijfeld af of ze bij Michelin hebben zitten slapen… Maar wij gaan niet klagen: We hebben een favoriet bij en we hebben dus een goede reden om binnenkort eens terug te gaan om een compleet signature menu te proberen.

It's been a few years since I was in a restaurant without a star where everything was so right. Fantastic dishes, challenging flavor combinations and subtle shades of spices. Black Brigade is extremely correct in its service on the one hand, while remaining friendly and approachable on the other. I would describe the restaurant itself as 'smart casual'. Sufficient entourage that goes with this high level of cooking, but also something of an atmosphere that belongs to a cozy pub. Doyy exceeded my expectations. Everything was right and was right from the beginning to the end. Highly recommended for a meal.

It was my birthday and we were really looking forward to it, but in the end we were very disappointed. Maybe we were just unlucky, but we didn't like the food at all. I'm sorry to say this. Most of the dishes were based on fish, prepared in different ways. However, the flavors were strange and unpleasant. Before we came here, we ate at a restaurant without Michelin stars, 10tafel, which was much more pleasant. Unfortunately we were surprised in a negative way…

Food quality is fine but portions are ridiculously small; any restaurant where you need to have serious amounts of bread are just not giving enough food. Restaurant also trying to hard to be haute cuisine, It still needs serious work to get there

I went there to celebrate a special occasion, and I was absolutely amazed from the time I walked in. The welcoming staff, the attention to detail but most of all the food!! I loved that you just tell them what you don't like to to eat and the bring a surprise 3/4/5 course menu! And the price!! Is so reasonable for what you get. I will be back for sure.

Binnenkomst super! Zeer aardig ontvangen. Mega vriendelijk. Lekker tafeltje waar we aan mochten zitten. Al snel kwam er iemand om te vragen wat we wilde drinken. Een Engelse mevrouw. Super lief en aardig, maar wel vervelend dat het dan in het Engels moet. Ook omdat het dan lijkt dat ze verwacht dat wij t volgen. Ik zou zeggen: vraag of we t erg vinden of laat af en toe blijken dat je Nederlander taal aan het leren bent en je best doet. Toen kwam 1 voor 1 het eten. Niks van te zeggen. Overheerlijk!!! Lekker gegeten, bijzondere combinaties, mooie borden. Tongstrelende gerechten. Complimenten. Wel lastig dan als elk gerecht uitgelegd wordt in het Engels, zodat dat niet allemaal te volgen is. De eigenaar, top, liep rond, maakte grapjes, hield heel goed alle tafels in de gaten en zorgde voor een ontspannen sfeer. Kortom een 10. Weet dat het lastig is met personeel,maar zou wenselijk zijn als de Engels sprekende mensen dan toch iig laten zien wel hun best te willen doen om de taal te proberen te spreken. Neemt niet weg: super aardige vrouw hoor ☺️

Surprising and delicious food, I spent a great night with 4 dishes food

A fantastic evening with a very well-balanced mix of excellent food and service. After a pleasant welcome we were assigned a nice table by the window. From here a culinary high-quality journey through 5 dishes. Richard's explanation of the wines was enthusiastically informative and completed the evening. Received a tasty gift for my birthday. Very attentive. In short, highly recommended.

A restaurant with great ambience and very warm and welcoming staff. Had a five course dinner for four, with two opting for vegetarian. Very distinct and surprising dishes. Every course is a combination of multiple flavours. The presentation of the dishes were enticing. Two really standout dishes that the whole table enjoyed were tomkakai bonbon covered in white chocolate and the watermelon tartar. Overall very satisfied with the entire experience.

We hebben heerlijk gegeten. Het menu was geweldig we hebben heerlijke tonijn gehad en coquilles en daarna zeeduivel en als hoofdgerecht Lam en een heerlijk zoet dessert met chocolade en kaneel. De bediening heeft hier nog echt aandacht voor hun gasten. De wijn chardonnay uit zuid Afrika was ook heerlijk. Dit is echt een AANRADER!!!!

Goed gegeten, behoorlijke smaakexplosies mogen ervaren. Echter wijnkaart is ondermaats en service is ook minder. Gerechten blijven lang op tafel staan en hectiek overheerst. Stroom viel twee keer uit in het hele pand, vreemde ervaring. Oke voor fine dining maar zeker niet op michelin niveau. Voor ons leuk voor 1 keer maar gaan niet meer terug.

I had a 6 course menu a while back at Doyy for dinner by myself. They made me feel comfortable being alone and reading my book. In terms of the 6 course menu, timing, flow, and taste were amazing (9/10). Everything was cooked perfectly. I give 9 because some dishes tend to be on the sour side - letting yuzu gel or other acidic components dominate too much of the taste. Bread and butter was okay. Eel butter has the potential to be spectacular but it was salty. Overall I give this experience a 9/10, thank you!

Een heerlijke culinaire avond beleefd bij Doyy. Het was de tweede keer dat we hier zijn geweest en zeker niet de laatste! Prettige ontvangst door vriendelijk personeel. Gekozen voor het 4-gangen signatuur menu dat we later uitgebreid hebben met een 5e gang (dessert). Na een fijn glas bubbels vooraf de keuze laten vallen op een fles mooie witte wijn uit Azerbeidzjan met een meer dan uitstekende prijs-kwaliteit. Volgend op de smaakvolle amuses (vooral die met kataifi was erg lekker!) kwam daarna het ene na het andere zorgvuldig opgemaakte bord met heerlijke smaken voorbij. Bij een aantal gerechten waren wij de eerste gasten aan wie een nieuw gerecht werd uitgeserveerd, en daarmee was de bediening (en keuken) oprecht geïnteresseerd in onze feedback. En oh la la, dat tweede gerecht, heilbot met passievrucht...om je vingers bij af te likken zo lekker! Culinaire verwennerij. Ook met de eigenaar nog enkele ervaringen van onze avond uitgewisseld en boeiend van hem te horen hoe hij hart heeft voor de mensen uit zijn team en een voor horeca-begrippen bijzondere balans tussen werk-vrije tijd heeft gecreëerd. Hulde voor (het team van) Doyy! Wij hebben een heerlijke avond gehad op een fijne sfeervolle plek met prettige bediening. We komen dan ook graag nog eens terug!

Een mooie ervaring om hier te eten. Zelden zo'n voltreffelijke service meegemaakt. Enige advies hierin zou zijn om rustiger te praten en om transparant te zijn over dat genoemde dingen extra geld kosten terwijl ze in het menu lijken te zitten (bijvoorbeeld het kaasplankje, of de kaviaar lepel) Tussen gang 2 en 3 zat ruim 50 minuten wachttijd. Dat vond ik erg fors. Ambience was verder perfect. De eigenaar zeer vriendelijk. Waarom dan toch 3 sterren? 2 van de 4 gangen waren gewoonweg niet goed. Te veel zout verwerkt in het hoofdgerecht en de vleeskwaliteit van de entrecote was niet goed. Het vlees was voor een entrecote erg taai en de ingrediënten beperkt complementair. Ik vind het zelf fijn om te kunnen kiezen hoe ik een steak gebakken krijg. Voor deze prijs verwacht ik gewoonweg meer.

Een restaurant met invloeden uit Azerbeidzjan. “Doy” betekent letterlijk ‘voldaan’, welke we volledig kunnen onderschrijven. Het was even geleden dat we zo’n fijne ervaring hebben gehad en zo lekker hebben gegeten. Goed gebalanceerde smaken gebaseerd op de Europese keuken met hier en daar Aziatische invloeden. Bijpassende wijnen waren smaakvol en completeerde de gangen. De eigenaar nam de moeite om met ons een praatje te maken en naar onze ervaring te informeren. Hoewel prijzig was het voor ons zeer de moeite waard en we kijken terug op een geslaagde avond.

Prijzig maar zijn geld zeker waard. Gastheer en bediening uitstekend, het eten was een meer dan aangename belevenis en de sfeer is lekker intiem. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar.

Yum, yum , yum. Ik heb hier enorm van genoten. Tot nu toe mijn favoriet betreft dit typ restaurant.

Wat een fantastisch restaurant. Nog nooit zo lekker gegeten. Het was een ware smaaksensatie en je wordt door de bediening in de watten gelegd. Vooral de eigenaar maakte er een feestje van. De ambiance was ook erg mooi en sfeervol. Enige minpuntje was de blonde serveerster die moeilijk te verstaan was bij de uitleg en niet keek alsof ze er zin in had. Maar verder helemaal top! We hadden een fantastische avond
