Yesterday, Boxing Day, we had a delicious meal here with four people. We received a friendly welcome from the hostess and were quickly seated for the 11-course surprise menu. Everything was equally delicious and perfectly prepared in an Asian style. One minor caveat: it was a bit chilly, especially if you're sitting near the entrance. But all in all, a highly recommended restaurant.

We came by during the Eindhoven Light Festival (Glow). The interior was nice and cosy, the staff were very pleasant. We took the 9 course menu to share. Indeed the dishes were of an Asian Fusion style, but they were all nice. The sushi and meat dishes were good. The presentation of the dishes was also appealing, but nothing too extreme. We also had a drink on the side which was nice too. Decent value for what you get, the atmosphere is nice, and the location is useful.

It was an amazing experience to find asian food that matched my taste so well. Rather than the usual dishes, the food here felt thoughtful and beautifully balanced with local ingredients. Everything was really delicious, and I especially recommend the orange chicken and the Beijing duck.

The waiter couldn't explain the dishes or the difference between vegan and vegetarian. He didn't speak Dutch and his English was very poor. We had to wait an hour for our food and then realized it was just an appetizer instead of a main course. This wasn't clear from the menu or the price. It didn't taste good at all; it was cold, and the value for money was ridiculous. A small beer costs €7, while the so-called "appetizer" cost €10 per person. We ordered more makis because we were still hungry, but we waited another hour for them. There weren't many vegan options. A flop in terms of taste, price, and time!

I don't really understand the bad reviews. We had a truly delicious meal here. The service was excellent and the food was excellent. My mother is in a wheelchair, and assistance was offered immediately. If we're ever in Eindhoven again, we'll definitely go back.

We were here last week. We were impressed by the lovely atmosphere outside on the rooftop terrace. The relaxing music and beautiful plants. The hostess and server were incredibly friendly and left us with a very good impression. The food was also excellent! We will definitely be back.

We chose this restaurant because of the good reviews, but unfortunately our experience was very disappointing. The evening we were there, the back of the restaurant was rented for a large group playing a murder game. This caused loud shouting throughout the entire restaurant. They should have mentioned this in advance. In addition, the tableware was not clean — not even when we asked for clean plates. According to the reviews, the food was supposed to be good, but we were very disappointed. We really expected more. If you have ever eaten Peking duck, you know that what is served here has nothing to do with it. Many dishes were bland and boring. For example, the chef seemed to think that spekkoek should be served like carpaccio: wafer-thin. The service was friendly, but it was all rather chaotic. New dishes were brought while the plates of the previous dish were still on the table, and communication was difficult. Not a second time for us.

Because of the good reviews I chose Restaurant the city... The food was really okay and not much to complain about except that it was proportionately on the small side. The staff was certainly friendly, but otherwise they were inadequate everywhere and it sometimes looked embarrassingly clumsy how they worked. In particular, serving and taking drinks did not exactly run smoothly here. Perhaps a lack of better staff (which has a lot to do with) but unfortunately the experience does not improve. No next time for us...

Really nice place to try different small dishes from Asian cousine. The stuff were very friendly and recommended us to try at least 3 dishes per person, which was perfect and we still had space to try some dessert. I definitely recommend the eggplant and the duck but everything we tried was tasty. I would recommend this place if you are around visiting

We had the surprise menu with 11 dishes. There was way too much time between dishes. In itself it was tasty, but not really special and just not enough. If you only get small dishes each time (e.g. 2 dumplings or 2 small skewers) and there is almost half an hour in between, you will still be hungry when you go home.

I was in the area on a work trip and this place was relatively close and had good ratings. Ended up being a great choice. We did the option for the menu where you are just given different courses at the staff recommendation - it was a really good combination of soup, sushi, meat dishes and veggies. Not what I was expecting but it went down very well with my colleagues and I. Staff were very informative and friendly. Would love to visit again and sample more of the menu

The restaurant is in the center of Eindhoven and easy to reach. The food is really great. They work with Asian Tapas for sharing and we enjoyed all of our 7 dishes. What really stands out is that all of their dishes have their own distincs flavours and textures, making it a great culinary experience!

Food was excellent. Can't fault it. Service is poor and without kindness unfortunately. We ran a bill of €150 for food and drinks. Paid up and just before leaving, since I was thirsty asked the lady for a glass of water. It was promptly refused - we don't serve kraanwater. Such a shame. Went to the restaurant next door. They gladly offered me a sip of water.

We had dinner here tonight, and we loved it! We really enjoyed the food (in particular the soups!), the quiet atmosphere and the nice and quick service. A special side note about the closing time: we are italians and we use to have dinner at 20.30/21. The fact of not having to hurry to have dinner (like it happens everytime we are abroad) was sincerely a plus in our personal opinion. Very grateful for this discover.

Food was delicious, but unfortunately it got cold very quickly. The dishes were a pleasant surprise, we had duck crepes. Salmon, scampi, spare ribs, lamb skewers, fried rice and vegetables in a spicy curry sauce. The bubbles were also delicious and served in very nice glasses.

Food was reasonable, not great, not super filling. I think €5.50 for a mint tea is really ridiculous, water with 3 mint leaves. Not to be repeated.

I am Gluten Intolerant. We said that immediately to our waitress. She said that was not an issue and it wasn’t. We ordered the nine surprise menu. Yes, it was a surprise in an amazing way. All the food was excellent We discussed with the friendly waitress about our preferences and that was taken into consideration. It started with a miso soup which a first for me and excellent. Then Susi followed by summer rolls and our first main course of fish, vegetarian dish, followed by the main course of beef and popcorn chicken. Lastly fruit ice cream. All were delicious and the atmosphere and friendliness of the staff would make this a must go to for Asian food in Eindhoven. One last thing, we ordered Coffee and it came with a gluten-free biscuit, that has never happened to me before, it was really the icing on the cake, to a prefect evening.

Het is een smakelijke reis door Azië die je niet snel zult vergeten. Proef de culinaire diversiteit en de verfijning van de Japanse keuken, allemaal op één plek, en het gebeurt in Eindhoven. Wij gingen voor een 11-gangen menu. Dat maakt de prijs iets hoger, maar de avond was geweldig.

Het was en zeer goede service. Bedining was vrolijk. We waren er op een vrijdag om 4 uur. Niemand zat in de zaak en we konden gaan zitten waar we wouden. Het is een mooie nette zaak. Het eten was perfect voor ieder wat wils. Keuze is reuze zal maar zeggen. Van vis en vlees tot vegatarisch. Alles is echt een aanrader. Ligt net buiten het centrum en ook goed te doen qua prijs. Voor 3 man voor het eten + drinken waren we €90,50 kwijt.

Heerlijk gegeten met een groep van 14 personen. Wij hadden het 11 gerechten sharing diner, dat komt steeds in gangetjes. Vriendelijke eigenaresse en personeel, veel persoonlijke aandacht, goed rekening gehouden met dieetwensen, ondanks dat we aantal keren wisselden van plek. Een hele fijne avond gehad!

Genoten van het 11 gangen menu; een afwisseling van lekkere gerechtjes, geserveerd in een prettig tempo. Vlotte en vriendelijke bediening; erg gastgericht. Koks zijn afkomstig uit China, dus authentieke chinese bereidingswijze. Helemaal goed.
