Excellent restaurant in the centre of quaint little woerden, very cool location, super professional staff and surprisingly innovative food and drink offering, highly recommended.

We visited the restaurant as a family of five, and unfortunately, we were seated in a rather poor spot — partly in the sun and somewhat out of the servers' line of sight. It took quite a while before anyone came to our table, and even longer for the table water we had ordered to arrive. The dishes are beautifully presented on the menu, but sadly, the execution did not live up to expectations: The sweetbreads were not tender but rubbery. The radish was nothing special — just some pickled vegetables. The pork belly was disappointing, as there was still too much fat. It needed to be cooked slower and longer. The duck liver with anchovies felt like a mismatched dish, lacking cohesion. The tuna was not of good fresh quality and was a dull dish, with just a few wasabi peas thrown on. The celeriac pieces were simply boiled and plated with a bit of garnish — nothing remarkable. Overall, the plating of the dishes reused a lot of the same elements. The pickled tomatoes, for example, appeared in multiple dishes

The food is good, but you really get very little for what you pay. They say the dishes are between a starter and a main course in size, but they're even smaller than a starter. Side dishes are quite expensive and also very few. A few leaves of dressed lettuce for €5.50, I think, as well as a small portion of fries.

Very friendly staff. The chef personally came to inquire about dietary requirements. We had a delicious lunch. We'll definitely be back!

Bistronoom is a top location in Woerden, but with the new menu it really is a step back in terms of food quality. The food is still tasty, but unfortunately no longer special. Too bad Bistronoom, you were so good. Hope the old more exclusive menu will come back soon, because I have tasted the current dishes before and I don't have to go to Bistronoom for them.

The idea is to eat different dishes in several rounds. We ordered 3 times and they were all delicious dishes. Smooth and friendly service.

Delicious food. Eight of us had this large table that is a bit separate from the rest. So relatively quiet and semi-private. We had a 5-course chef's choice, a kind of surprise menu. Was excellent. Pleasant service. All in all an excellent place for our mini-reunion!

Beautifully renovated, very nice atmosphere. 4 5 or 6 courses from the chef, now also completely vegetarian or vegan to order. We had completely vegan and it was fantastic. Also nice and tasty alcohol-free options on the menu.

Cheesy Dinner is highly recommended

The concept is similar to Spanish tapas: order, share, and enjoy together. High-quality dishes are presented by very friendly service. The value for money is very good. I highly recommend it!

We had a nice meal, but (as the young man who served us already told us) the portions are smaller than a main course and (a bit) larger than a starter. In retrospect, the concept probably meant that my dinner companion and I would have had to 'share' an extra dish. I'm simply too old-fashioned for that, I prefer to see a full meal appear on my plate. Beer was (like almost everywhere these days) crazy expensive.

De retour de Keukenhof et logeant à l'hôtel Best Western de Woerden, nous voulions un restaurant sur cette ville après une journée bien chargée. Les commentaires nous ont plus et on s'est laissé tenté... Et nous avons été ravis de notre expérience. Le système de petits plats est une très bonne idée car l'on peut ainsi se laisser tenter par plusieurs d'entre eux sans avoir de sensation de trop plein. Les mélanges de saveurs sont judicieux et originaux pour certains. La carte des desserts est courte Tout est maison et à la minute. Le personnel est très sympathique, accueillant et très jeune. Autant en salle qu'en cuisine. Établissement disposant d'une terrasse dans une grande cour intérieure (la température ne nous a pas permis de tester). Anglais obligatoire pour les non néerlandophones. Menus en anglais mais pas la carte des boissons mais le personnel vous aidera en anglais très sympathiquement.

Beautiful restaurant, delicious food, friendly staff.

I asked my friends in Woerden to choose a nice restaurant that they liked, and we ended up settling on this place due to it's proximity in the center and near other activities we did during the day. The plates are on the smaller side, and I think there is a sharing and sampling element in mind with the dishes. Some are much better than others, but all well cooked. If you're with a larger group, it will be easier to share, but expect only a couple bites! There is a slight East-Asian influence to the flavor profile of most of the dishes. The ambiance is casual and the service is casual too, but attentive. They mostly speak English and they have English menus.

Delicious food and enjoyed a mocktail on the terrace!

Last year we visited from Belgium and thought it was fantastic. This year we were again looking forward to a dinner in the Bistronoom. New concept and to celebrate a birthday. To our regret, a huge disappointment. Nice interior, super friendly service, but you come to eat and experience good food. We chose the 5 course menu chef's choice €63. We ordered an appetizer while waiting for the menu. Not a single appetizer, not even an olive. Bread was also missing. This was completely different last year. We got 2 vegetarian dishes, 2 fish and a dessert. The pointed cabbage with 'puffed' (rock hard blackened rice, good to break your teeth) was the first dish. Let's say the first vegetable on the menu. Next came the fried sea bass with some pieces of asparagus. Also nothing special. The day before we ate the sea bass in the restaurant for dessert, which was much better. Then the next vegetable, the hard celeriac as a separate course with a few oyster mushrooms. Little color, taste or innovation. Boring again. Finally a piece of salmon. One well done, the other half raw. A tuft of celeriac or cauliflower? That's it. Finally the passion fruit dessert. The only dish with TOP taste, color and super tasty. I think another chef. You actually get served one dish 4 times + dessert. (no fries, no puree or anything) Conclusion: the chef's choice showed little inspiration in terms of color, taste, experience, preparation and finish. Below average in our opinion, money and sorry not worth a photo. The aperitif was also boring considering there was no extra in anticipation of the dishes. TOP interior, TOP service, TOP dessert, aperitif and main courses very below par. We have often had delicious food in the Netherlands with good chefs. Unfortunately not anymore for us in the Bistronoom. Better luck next time. Still 5 stars for the super friendly service.

Ate here shortly after the reopening and it was an immediate hit. Great performance! The new menu is full of delicious dishes, and the service is as hospitable as ever.

We think Bistronoom's new concept is a real winner! Last Thursday we had a lovely meal with the four of us in the super atmospheric room. Nice ladies in the service who took the time for our table. The food was really great! Chose several dishes and shared them with the table. From calamari to duck liver to veal cheek, all dishes were well seasoned and beautifully presented. What I also really liked was the extensive non-alcoholic range. Will 100% be back very soon 🤩

Fantastic food, but a bit noisy. We had dinner with friends at the Bistronoom one evening. When we entered, the sound in the room was quite loud. This was not because a radio was playing loudly or something like that, but had more to do with the acoustics in the room. This improved after a number of guests had left. Apart from that, it is beautifully and friendly decorated. We were served by friendly and neat staff who are knowledgeable about food and wines. If they don't know something, they don't hesitate to ask colleagues. The food was really great. All courses were an artfully composed palette of flavors. Delicious flavor combinations were served, combinations that I wouldn't have thought of myself. Fortunately, there is a surprise menu on the menu, which saves us having to make choices between all those delicious things on the menu. One of our guests didn't like one of the dishes on the surprise menu. The staff removed the dish and replaced it with something else without any problems. On behalf of us and our guests, compliments on this!

Wow. Tasted the new menu after the renovation. Just a round of cards, because curious. Delicious food. I often eat quite salty myself, so I asked if some salt could be put on the table, and I received a jar of Maldon, instead of the regular table salt you get elsewhere. Class! The flavors and preparation of the dishes were all perfect in my opinion, only the calamari perhaps needed a little more love. But all in all not a complaint, more of an area for improvement! Oh yes and the desserts! Did I mention they were amazing??? I say recommended!!

5 stars is the maximum you can give and you thoroughly deserve them!! First of all, a warm welcome, we unexpectedly dropped by at a reopening, and still got a table. A beautiful interior, everything new, menus, laid tables, beautiful cutlery, attractively decorated and also nice with plenty of plants. The sweet waiter explained the menu etc., and then the fun started: -amuse-bouche on the house; pulled pork with crispy (rendang vibes, tasty) - calamari; truly divine...10 stars - burrata ; yummy with top pesto (tip: extra tomatoes for a better flavor explosion and extra crostini) - salmon; delicious - sea bass; great dish 🤩 - rib eye; my table partner loved it, I experienced a bitter and sour note that distracted me from the meat. The great thing about this menu is that the portions are fun to share, and you can order according to your appetite. And if you share, it doesn't matter if you don't like something, and if it is very tasty, just order the same thing again. This concept is very much in line with our way of eating out! In short, a very successful evening with delicious food! Until next time.

We came across this restaurant by chance on the way back to France and we completely fell in love! The decoration and atmosphere of this restaurant is just superb! The staff are just lovely and the food (lunch) is very good! We highly recommend this absolutely charming address!

Cozy restaurant, with nice service but very special varying quality of food. Surprisingly enough, the 'house roll' with homemade butter was really great. The extra marshmallow over a fire was also a nice addition. From the menu, the trout, guinea fowl, short ribs, mocktails, desserts and chocolates were really great (10/10), but the pork neck, monkfish cheek and plaice lacked flavor (6/10). All in all we had a nice evening, so we will definitely come back!

We were here with a group of 6 on a weekday. The food was fine, but for me it was overshadowed by the absent, disinterested and unprofessional service. Example: we went to the bar to get a new bottle of wine ourselves. I was handed the menu while my dirty plate was still in front of me. Weird! And too bad.

Delicious food from a surprise menu.

Everything on the menu is delicious and a masterpiece in itself. The more than hospitable and friendly service makes the Bistronoom a wonderful place for a really tasty and good meal.

Had a delicious meal on Saturday evening with some friends. The new surprise (chefs) menu started with very beautiful and special flavor combinations. Drink very nice wines and nice spontaneous service. Thank you Daan & Sven very much for the pleasant evening. Will come back here soon!

Want to have something to eat with friends on a Friday afternoon and then wait half an hour for a sandwich and bitterballen. While we are the only ones sitting there. When the order came it was still wrong. The staff stares very meanly and that makes the ulcer anything but fun. never come back here again!

We had a delicious 4-course lunch. The food was very tasty and the service was fast. Only minor point: when we wanted to pay and had received the bill, the waitress was chatting and then she also sat down. After waiting 5 minutes we went to pay inside.

Had dinner here before and it was great. Now mediocre service: no explanation of the dishes, plates are placed on the table and that's it. Wine arrangement with some dishes ok, but with the plaice 2x total wrong match and third attempt ok. Plaice was the main course: overcooked and with smoked ham on it, which none of our party could appreciate. We did pay €90 per person: unfortunately the price is no longer in proportion to quality and service.

YES, you have to go here! These people understand the concept of gastronomy. We made an early reservation and were allowed to choose where we wanted to sit. Start outside and halfway inside? No problem! 1 x surprise menu + 1 x à la carte? Very good! Exciting appetizers, tender pork belly, sea bass tartare, pandan ice cream. All delicious and well presented. Are there no areas for improvement? Okay, an intermediate dish of tenderloin was a bit bland, but when we pointed this out as an area for improvement, we were even offered a replacement dish. All in all, we were very satisfied after the menus, but because we didn't want it to stop, we added the cheese in between. What a party. We will definitely come back! <3

I was highly disappointed by the food given a really high ranking on Google Maps. It is really pricey for the quality and quantity offered. I had 1 starter and 1 entremet. For the starter I had fish which was really tasteless, lacking salt and flavour. Fairly dry and the worst part was the watermelon cubes that gave the taste a watermelon has after spending a week open in the fridge (not juicy, not sweet, really mushy). As entremet I had 4 slices of duck breast (really poor for 13-15 eur dish) that was very hard to slice and chew. Probably the only good thing was the fries, those were really top notch. As for the service: the waiters were super nice and attentive however, being the group of 6 people (the restaurant was may be 25% busy or less) we had to wait for at least 45 minutes before the entremets arrive after the starter. Nobody cared to warn us it takes longer, we were just sitting there waiting for food. Truly not recommending this place.

The Bistronoom in Woerden is located at a cozy square in the city center. The waiters enthusiastically share the different ingredients used to achieve each unique dish. Some of the combinations for food were a little too outgoing for my taste. An example is pulled pork with pulled beef and curry cream or the starter which was sweet cream with lemon ice. Overall a nice experience.

Well, bad luck if you go with too high expectations. Our neighbors were very enthusiastic and we were very disappointed. Reserved online and communicated 'preferably not' ingredients accordingly. We had to repeat that three times this evening. There was no tomato juice for a bloody Mary beforehand. The Aperol Spritz, on the other hand, was served without spritz. The sourdough bread was served with special herb butter, we ordered some salt (not standard on the table) because the herb butter tasted of nothing. 5 courses for the price of 4, because Bistronoom has been around for so many years and these are the best dishes of recent years... well, expectations have been raised again. Three out of five dishes made us frown. More Vega than Bistro, dishes that would normally serve as a side dish were presented as an intermediate dish. 'Celery root cream'. That was the service, diminutives for every dish, every wine. 'Made from a grape from the Loire'... The pace was painfully slow, more than half an hour between dishes. Finally said something about it and then things went a bit better. We looked at each other and I asked, what kind of grade. 0-10. It was a 3… and we're really not that picky. Nothing was right this evening. And if you can ultimately pay €195, then thank you kindly and we think, no more of this.

Delicious food. In the summer you can relax outside in the cozy courtyard of the barracks. Great for a nice long drink.

Highly disappointed. Food was really not good except for the beef tartare which was outstanding and the well selected cheese out of 5 dishes and a mise en bouche!! Certainly not worth a surprise menu over 50 euros. Some strange association with horrible acidic vinegar, a piece of tasteless overcooked salmon, and rather dry celeriac. As to the service it started really slow as it took over 50 minutes to get the first dish and even more to get the water despite reminding a couple of times (and it wasn’t half full). Location is very nice but maybe try others places around it! How can this be one of the best rated restaurants around I’m not sure…

Nice tent with contemporary character.

Bistronoom is celebrating its 8th birthday this month with a special 5 or 6 course meal. Each course is a surprise, which actually added to the experience. We had friendly professional service. And the food was exciting and excellent. We started with home made bread and butter - the butter was mixed with flowers from the garden. The amuse was a layered, textural experience with a buttermilk granita topping to cut through the rice cream. There was a perfectly seasoned steak tartare with buerre blanc. A roasted salmon fillet with a sweet apple skin. An amazing celeriac dish, which looked like a sliced, grilled fish. It was marinated in soy and garlic, with creamed celeriac and crispy fried leaves. Delicious. There was another wonderful vegetarian dish made from dried oyster mushrooms, which was strongly umami, and a great texture. We matched courses with some wonderful and unusual wine pairings. It was a fabulous meal and an unexpected highlight of our Netherlands trip.

We randomly found this place on a Saturday afternoon with around 20 people. They allowed us to pull the tables together outside, which is not always the case in other restaurants. We were not allowed to order food (it was around 3pm) but snacks and drinks. The service was kind. At the end we had to pay together, separate payment was not accepted. This made it a bit more difficult for the organizer

The food was of good quality, we had the 7 course dinner. Both the restaurant and the terrace are very attractively decorated. For us it was the 1st time at the Bistronoom. We will definitely come back!

Delicious lunch on Sunday, received quickly and friendly and were allowed to choose a table, chef's menu 3 courses was delicious. Coffee and chocolates made it complete. Bistronome keep it up!!

We have been coming for a bite to eat a few times a year for years. This time it was very disappointing. The quail was overcooked. The layout of the plates in general was less. As a result, the bistronomer has fallen in our appreciation. Too bad. Furthermore, the map is getting smaller and smaller. Only 1 fish and meat main course. Next time we have to ask ourselves whether the choice will be the bistronomer again.

If you feel like being pampered then you've come to the right place. Feel free to choose a surprise menu and you can be sure that you will be spoiled for culinary pleasure. Don't complain about the price because quality may cost something. The service is very friendly and knowledgeable. Accessibility is also well organized at the Bistronoom, so it is highly recommended for wheelchair users

Cozy restaurant, good service, too bad you have to order everything here too. (potatoes, fries, vegetables, salad) Point of attention for the cook and the restaurant. Reserve a table in your own restaurant and view the dishes, beautifully prepared, but no side dishes and portions that are really too small. You wouldn't appreciate that in any other restaurant

Genoten van het eten en drinken vriendelijke bediening. Minpuntjes geen 0.0 pils, wijn uit reeds open gemaakte (zondag op dinsdagavond) flessen wit was zuur en het invalide toilet was niet schoon.

Met mijn partner 's avonds wezen eten. In de middag nog even naar binnen gelopen om een tafel te reserveren want de site gaf aan dat alles vol was. Er was nog genoeg plek en om half 7 konden we aan tafel. Beide hebben we een 7 gangen menu besteld met 1x een wijnarrangement. We hadden veel zin in deze avond en lekker eten. Echter was de bediening erg chagrijnig, er kon geen lachje vanaf en de uitleg over de wijnen was matig. Als je zoveel geld uitgeeft voor een avond uit hoop je dat je je dan ook welkom voelt. Dat gevoel hebben wij niet gekregen en zijn dan ook na gang 5 opgestapt. Het chagrijnige meisje wilde ons dan ook de 7gangen laten betalen en ging hierover in discussie ipv te achterhalen wat de rede is waarom wij besluiten weg te gaan. Kortom een hele slechte ervaring in dit restaurant.

Samen met echtgenote lunchen bij Bistronoom. We kozen verrassingslunchmenu van 3 gangen. Eerste gerecht was zeer mooi opgemaakte biet en zeer smaskvol en ook heel mooi geserveerd gerecht met garnalen mousse voor ondergetekende. Mooi gebalanceerde zoeten en zuren. Tweede gerecht was koolvis. Prima gegaard met compote van aubergine. nagerecht was zeer verrassend muntijs met een yoghurt en honingkoek. Heel origineel en mooie combinatie. Bistronoom absoluut een van beste restaurants vanWoerden. Ook dus voor lunch!

If companies deserve it, I will adjust a review, also here. I recently dropped in here for lunch. After a previous experience I was hesitant, but a very nice employee welcomed us in a way that I would like to see everywhere. Super friendly and service-oriented. We were familiar with a croquette sandwich, so we opted for the surprise menu. That was a super surprise, star-worthy dishes, beautifully presented plates full of the necessary complementary flavors. My dining companion said that he would never have ordered the main products, but that he really liked them. The following week, on a Monday evening, I went here with friends. I recommended the 5-course surprise menu to them and ordered it myself. My guests were just as wonderfully surprised as I was. When I said goodbye to my guests, they said they would recommend this restaurant widely and I will do just that. A tip if you go here and you can do so 7 days a week: park in the parking garage nearby, which is much cheaper than on the street. My friends were charged almost €22 for a few hours. pay in the parking app.

I had dinner here with our colleagues last week - very pleasant. Good ambiance, good service. We chose not to take a menu but à la carte - there was less choice (but everyone found what he/she wanted and had a delicious meal). It was a bit warm / sultry (tip: air conditioning?), we were happy to be in the fresh air. But all in all a great experience, highly recommended.

Great location, loved the interior and the terrace. Lovely sunshine, spot in the shade also available. Menu is a regular lunch menu but with a twist for each dish. Food was delish and service was good. Lovely experience.
