The menu is very limited; it only offers bitterballen and fries. There's only one cook and one waitress, and it took over an hour to bring us the bitterballen. The food is good, but like any other restaurant that offers bitterballen, it's not much better. The table next to us left halfway through their meal because they got tired of waiting. We won't be back, nor will we recommend it.

We happened upon the small restaurant in a side street and tried the 12-piece Bitterballen mix, which we were delighted with. The service was very friendly and cheerful.

What a great spot to enjoy some homemade bitterballen! We tried the “Sharing is caring” bitterballen tasting, the Pomme Frites, cheese sticks, and the Bittergarnituux Mix along with some wine. Everything was delicious! Our favourites were the vegan and beef bitterballen, the cheese sticks and bami, which is, apparently, one of the least favourites to the Dutch. It has a light curry flavour which we do enjoy and the texture of the noodles was really quite yummy. If you don’t like a curry flavour, then there’s others you’d be better to trying. The service we received was amazing - very warm and friendly and it’s a really great vibe in the restaurant. They have some outdoor seating and we noticed that the kitchen, which is open to be seen to the dining area, was pristine. Despite the food being fried, you don’t have that fried oil smell typical of restaurants who don’t change their fry oil as often as they should so we know everything was as well kept as it looked. Prices were VERY reasonable for the service, atmosphere and quality you receive. We walked in before the rush but reservations are recommended as they got very busy and you don’t want to miss out!

Searching for a place to offer cheese appetizers, we only found two places online. (It's true, while there are many cheese places in Amsterdam, none of them create a more personalized dish.) We ordered a cheese board and a plate of traditional fried foods. The food and sauces are exquisite; so much so that we repeated the cheese board. The wines are excellent to accompany the tasting; they have a variety. The atmosphere is perfect for a dinner with friends or with friends. The service is first-class. The two people who served us are excellent. A place I'll definitely return to. P.S. I would add some semi-soft cheese like Roquefort.

Typical Dutch dish that we Spaniards could describe as a round croquette with a harder topping. This vegan option was very good, but nothing spectacular. Very attentive service and staff. If you don't want to pay four euros for 1 l of water, you have to tell them to remove the bottles from the table and ask for tap water.

Amazing place and amazing stuff! We came here for the reviews and uau, did not disappoint. On a Sunday at 14:30 the restaurant was quite empty so we had a really cosy stay. We had the taste of the bitterballen (the beef one was the best). And the potatoes with the black truffle mayo ese 🤌🏻 Highly recommend ✨✨

Lovely little restaurant right in the centre, tucked away in a cute little street. Highly recommend going here for a beer and the bitterballen tasting selection. My favourite was the beef and my partner loved the veal. Would happily come back here again!

A superb address, a must-go there. The food is very good: the meatballs and homemade fries are delicious. The waitress is very smiling and pleasant and Roger the boss is very welcoming, loves to laugh and loves French songs.... So go for it, you will not be disappointed 😉

My partner and I went last week, we found it via Google and since we saw that it had good reviews we didn't think much about it. A success! The place is very cozy and the atmosphere is very warm. We ordered a mix of typical food, the potatoes with truffle mayonnaise (if you love truffle it is mandatory) and the cheese sticks. For dessert, a cheesecake with white chocolate. Everything was delicious, really, it was a very good dinner!!! And the service was excellent, the girl was very nice and attentive at all times. It's a shame that we saw it the last night, because we would have gone there more nights to have dinner. If I return to Amsterdam, I will definitely make it a point to return. 😊 P.S; Maybe I would add individual dishes from the mixed one. Because without a doubt I would order more cheese soufflé, more croquettes and others. It's fine to try it, once you've tried the mix I would order individual plates of some things because it was very good

Excellent bitterballens. It's crispy from the outside and bursting with flavours in the inside. Very well fried. The mini platter was great as well! I loved how the bami was fried and seasoned.

We booked a table to eat there at the premises and everything was great, we tried the tasting to share and the potatoes with truffle mayonnaise and for dessert the mango cheesecake and everything was delicious! The attention of the boys was also very good. The place is small and cozy. Without a doubt if we return to Amsterdam, we will go again and repeat. Out of 10!!

It goes well with beer. Fried balls with a jelly-like interior and veal, lamb and vegetarian options. The environment for such a food is too romantic.

We loved the Chardonnay white wine, which was excellent, and the charming decor which made the place even more pleasant. The prices are fair, and we really enjoyed our time with you. Stopped in here for a taste of Dutch cuisine, and the bitterballen did not disappoint! We got the tasting menu, which came with 4 of each of their flavors (beef, vegan, and veal), as well as the fries. Everything was delicious, and the staff was so welcoming and friendly. I would highly recommend this spot if you want to try bitterballen!

My wife and I are from the US and we visited the Netherlands back in September 2024. We were looking for a relaxing and delicious Dutch lunch at a fair price, and this place delivered that for us! We ordered the Sharing is Caring Bitterballen Tasting, which includes 4 beef, 4 veal, and 4 vegan. We also ordered the fries with black truffle mayo and some sparkling water. This place deserves all the great reviews!

It was a restaurant where you could enjoy typical Dutch meals in mini-sized portions, with good taste and good service.

I think Bitterballen is one of my new favourite foods!! This is a great looking place and it’s on a street just away from a busy place so it was nice to be off a main or busy restaurant. It was the first time trying bitterballen and my husband and I shared the one that came with 12 bitterballen. They have a nice selection on that one. It worked well as a small dinner if you aren’t super hungry.

We wanted to try this while we were in Amsterdam. The place is very beautiful and new. But the taste was incredibly bad. I can say that this place is disappointing. The employees are slow-witted and careless. That's why I definitely don't recommend this place.

Great first experience with Bitterballen. Highly recommended.

It's an interesting and downright funny bar. The interior is hip, neat and tidy. Very modern and the tables set with wine and water glasses make you think you are in a star restaurant. This just makes it funnier that there are only fried snacks. The service wasn't particularly smooth, but that was partly because it was so quiet. Me and my girlfriend had the tasting where you get 4 bitterballen each of 3 types. The veal doesn't have much flavor but overall it was tasty. The fries are tasty (although this thickness is more like fries), but the truffle mayo is especially recommended. Nice to visit but not a place to really have a drink or eat in my opinion. For example, there is no beer on tap and only brewery t'ij in the bottle. The bitterballen are also relatively not very cheap

Probably the best bitterballen in the city. It was incredibly delicious! We were first and then the last guests and the boss even opened the kitchen again for us. Speaking of the boss - a super nice person who sees his business as a passion. We're going to spend a lot of money here. Absolute recommendation!

If you need a place to try Bitterballen in Amsterdam, this is the right place. The products are great, we ordered the plate that comes with all the flavors they offer, as well as fries that were extraordinary and some cheese sticks with sweet and sour sauce. The mayonnaise seems to be homemade and very well made. The restaurant is run by its own owner, who does an excellent job, really congratulations for the good restaurant you have. The restaurant has a perfect atmosphere, it is well lit, there is good use of the spaces and it has good music for a quiet dinner. We will surely recommend it to anyone passing through Amsterdam. 🇳🇱🇨🇱

First time I have tried bitterballen and didn’t know what to expect. They had a very crunchy coating and soft thick centre. We loved that they had a vegan option. It tasted quite meaty, and like thick stock. Not sure they are my favourite but good to try and glad I had them here. The cheese sticks were amazing!! Super crunchy outside and gooey inside, the olives were also very tasty. The staff were nice and helpful with helping choose what to order.

I couldn’t speak more highly of this restaurant! We wanted to have an easy, low key dinner and were pleasantly surprised! It was such a nice summers evening and we were able to sit outside, the staff were super attentive and the food was delicious. We opted for the tasting plate of bitterballen and the Reypenaer which was incredible. Would definitely recommend!

The food is great. As someone who doesn't like bitterballen, it was excellent. I have to say tho, it's a bit pricey. I'm aware of the quality, but still... I don't know if you can justify paying 5euros for a small portion of fries (even tho cooked in beef fat). Same for the bitterballen, I would say it's slightly too pricey as well. The price can be justified by the atmosphere and the location I guess.

Cuando vimos que alguien había creado un restaurante que se centra en esta delicia junto con una gran carta de vinos, nos emocionamos mucho. Bitterballen Amsterdam no decepcionó! Probamos una mezcla de tres sabores - ternera era nuestro favorito! También tuvimos unas patatas fritas perfectamente fritas, cortadas a mano con alioli de ajo. Tanto si te gusta el bitterballen como si nunca lo has probado, ¡este es el lugar para sumergirte!

Had veal bitterballen and cheesesticks here and both were delicious! Service was great too. The waitress was very thoughtful and would remind me (with a great smile) to eat in small bites as the bitterballen and cheesesticks were still very hot.

It was a very clean shop and the owner was very nice! I happened to come here because I wanted to eat local food, and it was delicious. It's like knowing the roots of Japanese cream croquette. However, it may be painful for Japanese people as it is all fried food. But it was very delicious! I recommend it if you go to the Netherlands! They also speak English, so if you don't understand the menu, you can ask.

If I could, I would come back tomorrow! And I say this because after trying it for the first time on Saturday Evening we went back the day after for the Sunday Lunch (our last one in the beautiful Amsterdam) 💔. The place: 10/10. So chic, cozy and lovely. The food: SOOO GOOD AND TASTY! We had all kind of Bitterballen and their french fries, so yummy 😋 Each of them is my fave. Rutger, the owner, is magic! A funny person, so kind and nice. We really liked talking with him, also because we share a passion: Italy & Bitterballen! I hope to come back here very very soon. I wanted to try bitterballen on my Amsterdam visit. This is a tiny beautiful place with amazing staff and we ordered the mixed platter with 2 pieces of each variety. It was super crispy on the outside and soft inside. The veal was the best of the lot though we liked all 3.

This is definitely the place to go to try Bitterballen. I had Bitterballen at quite a few places, but this was by far the best Bitterballen and the restaurant also has a nice upscale atmosphere. Also, the staff were probably some of the nicest people met in Amsterdam.
