Amazing place which we love coming back to each time. Hidden gem in Amsterdam. Great cocktails, great nachos and great service. Due to our own fault we accidentally overpaid on tipping and they went out of their way to pay us back - which was highly appreciated. Don’t hesitate - just go there :)

Parakeet Amsterdam was the best place to spend our final night in Amsterdam. Not only did the food and drink really hit the spot, the staff was extremely welcoming and brought the best energy and vibe to this little gem of a restaurant. Our plan to stay for one round of drinks, quickly turned into 3 and we did not regret it. Don’t miss this place!!

Fantastic food! I haven't had better classic staples in Amsterdam in 12 years here. Amazing chips, bean dip, guacamole, salsa, cheese dip! Service left something to be desired, they never asked if we wanted another drink in 4 hours there.

Really cool spot for drinks and nachos! It is a very popular spot so it can take time to get your food and can be crowded but if you enjoy the social buzz then this is the place!

Great concept! The nachos are a BOMB! The cocktails were also delicious. We were sitting outside so you dont get to experience the environment but the outside tables are under beautiful flowers, so thats really nice. Fully recommended

A nice spot, though I have to mention that I have quite a specific taste when it comes to cocktails. I made sure to ask detailed questions about the options, but the explanations from the waiter didn’t really match what I was looking for. The atmosphere was enjoyable, but the cocktails themselves weren’t particularly memorable or unique.

Shared the pulled chicken nachos with my friend and it didn’t disappoint it was a great snack! Really surprised with the quality and how good they tasted. We both ordered drinks and they were just ok. Not our favorite. But besides that all was good

Absolutely amazing! Every bite, every flavor; the service, the music- all was incredible. We got the trio of dips & the bean dip, and the Mexican pork nachos & the beefy chili nachos. The Lucy's margarita was perfectly balanced. An 11 experience on a scale of 5. 💥

Totally love this place. My neighborhood favorite place to go. The cocktails are always amazing. And they serve amazing freshly made nachos which are out of this world.

The cauli nachos were amazing! Also had a delicious margarita. Great playlist and vibes and lovely staff.

Very nice place with only nachos. Only nachos, Yes, I was also surprised by the variety and went outside with a full belly. Friendly staff and tasty cocktails Inside it is small, but nice atmosphere with open kitchen. Most important for me, original nachos and not the corn chips you get at the average pub!

I got the vondel nachos in standard size which was plenty to eat. The pomegranate gems were a delicious addition. I enjoyed the chips very much. I think the only thing I wasn't too thrilled about was the jalapenos. They struck me as the canned version as opposed to fresh which has a different taste and spiciness. That aside, I enjoyed everything else about the dish. :)

Parakeet is such a unique place in Amsterdam-where else can you have great mixed drinks, artisan nachos and a homemade chocolate taco? Highly recommend!

Service was really good, which is a rare sight for Amsterdam! The cocktails were okay, but I am quite picky with my flavours and love having cocktails. If you just like a cocktails very now and again its fine but I won’t be returning for their drinks to be honest. The nachos were really good - we had the Vondel. Our table had all the cocktails across the menu throughout our reservation slot and the best one in my opinion was the smoky Paloma. We needed to reserve a table and we could hold the slot for 2 hours and then needed to move on for the next group. They were crazy busy and many people came with reservations. Overall the place had a nice vibe but not enough for me to want to reserve, go for 2 hours and then leave but I personally don’t like jumping between places if I found a nice spot so maybe that’s just me. Staff were really top notch and I could see going back for this ☝️ Overall a good experience and would recommend trying them out if they have space but not that special to stand in a que in my opinion.

Parakeet is my favourite restaurant/bar in Amsterdam. Perfect nachos (and try the Choco taco!) friendly service, and the best margaritas. Can’t wait to go again!

Great nachos followed by an excellent choco-taco! My family and I enjoyed four different dips AND two plates of nachos and loved each one. It can be challenging to find good tortilla chips outside of the Tex Mex region, but these were crispy and had just the right amount of salt. We sat outside, and it was a great atmosphere. Be sure to ask for the off-the-menu choco-taco, which is a great mix of ice cream and stroopwaffle and the perfect end to a nacho meal!

A very small and atmospheric place. The only minus was that I was sat right next to the door and people kept bumping into me, but I'm not the smallest either, so fair play. The large portion is absolutely massive, share with 2-3 people minimum. Recommend taking half portions of different nachos and sharing if you're going for the first time.

This is the best gem in Amsterdam. Delicious cocktails, great Nachos and amazing, wonderful staff. We love every trip to Parakeet after stumbling upon it a few years ago, an extra plus is that they are very dog friendly so ours can come along.

Nice service, strong drinks, cozy vibes, and good nachos. Only thing to note is that the appetizer and mains are all nachos so it's a lot of chips haha

on my last night in amsterdam, i lucked upon parakeet. it was a cold wet night but the warm interior and welcoming staff changed everything as i took a seat at the bar. the nachos looked so good i did two half orders, one was beef, the second chicken with pineapple, both with proper sour cream, freshly made guacamole, and in store pickled jalapeños. you can taste the freshness. i paired my nachos with a kill bill cocktail and a smokey paloma. finally, i was lucky to be at the restaurant on the night of the choco taco premiere, yummy salted caramel ice cream sandwiched between a stroop waffle and finisged with chocolatey nutty topping. there’s no doubt i’ll be back! i’m sure i felt a tropical island breeze and heard the song of a parakeet.

Absolutely wonderful place for dinner. Loved the decor and the music. I had the vegetarian nachos and a margarita. Both were amazing. The full nacho portion is deliciously huge. Our whole group ate every bite we were given. The staff was lovely, and the service was great. Can’t think of a single thing I would change about this place.

This is an adorable little place. The food was amazing—the drinks were excellent—the staff was very pleasant—the owners were delightful. As soon as we left I suggested we go again the next day!

Just a tasty fun spot for nachos! A full serving is really for two people, do keep that in mind ☺️ Also they have delicious cocktails. With a small menu for everything, it won't be overwhelming but it will be good.

I came here over the summer and had the best nachos of my life. They’re absolutely loaded with tasty ingredients, yet still strike the balance of staying crunchy. The cocktails are also delicious, I had some kind of watermelon margarita and was a perfect patio moment. The staff were also attentive and it felt like an inclusive environment which I’m into. Looking forward to coming back!

all nachos taste the same , doesn’t matter which which veggies or meat you take if it’s topped with 200gr of sour cream. next time i come only for the cocktails and some small nachos and perhaps in summer , when there is more space

Gezellig Nacho restaurant! Met twee (geen grote honger) één grote portie gedeeld en opgekregen! Heel gezellig en fantastische chili. Witte negroni was helaas aan de te bittere kant.

Cute corner space and good drinks. The food was pretty average €18 for nachos😳. The drinks are refreshing and reasonable. Best to get drinks outside when the weather is nice. That’s all for now.

Cozy little gem in Old West with very tasty food, great cocktails and laid back vibes. The waiters are extremely nice. Basically every meal is gluten free or can be made so.

It's a very intimate atmosphere, which would feel cramped if it wasn't so cozy. Service was great. The food and drinks are the real stars, with some top tier cocktails and expertly crafted flavorful nacho dishes. I've never been anywhere quite like it, so definitely stop by if that sounds appealing. I'd recommend a reservation at peak times or for a group of more than 2.

We went to Parakeet Friday night. The weather was perfect so the outdoor seating set the tone. The homemade chips are some of the best I've had and the Cheesy Bean Dip with our fancy cocktails were a celebration of the warm weather. We were a big group so we got all the entrées. The Sarphati was my favorite. The owner happened to be there and he was particularly attentive. If you're from the States it's a necessary stop in your tour of Amsterdam. A note: make a rez...it's small and very busy.
