Nice meal at a good price service was a bit slow but enjoyed the evening

Really Christmas vibes, the interior is really cozy, the staff are attentive but not in your space, I came with my son.. the best hot chocolate, his mouth dropped 🤗 we got some complimentary starter as it was happy hour, the Dubai chic dessert was so delicious as I was expect ion the cliche chow bar, well was I surprised, I’ve already booked at dinner reservation, thank you for the great experience!!

Nice restaurant but not for large group. We had eight people and the after dinner the waitress (who originally said she would do it) said she couldn’t split the bill up, making it very difficult to pay in a different country. Other than that, the evening would have been great. Management was non-existent that evening. Too bad. Ask questions and I hope you have a better experience than our group did.

Charming restaurant with high-quality meat prepared on the Josper. I opted for the surf and turf. The flat iron steak was good, but the lobster lacked flavor and was unfortunately a bit disappointing.

Amazing place we found walking along the canals looking for a lunch spot. Steak tartare was spectacular. Tried their new smoothies - mango was my favourite.

My favorite meal in 30 days of traveling in Europe. Filet mignon with garlic cloves, salt and pepper was delicious, as well as the margarita. And playing classic rock also added to the experience- Pink Floyd Shine On You Crazy Diamonds among other things. I will definitely be back.

We had high expectations for Black & Blue, but unfortunately, they weren't met. Upon arrival, our table wasn't set yet, and the main course wasn't taken into account when we mentioned allergies, and the sauce we ordered was missing. Fortunately, after a brief reminder, the sauce arrived quickly. We also received an espresso instead of a cappuccino. The staff seemed to be struggling and not properly trained to run a business like this, especially in a city like Amsterdam. For example, when they took the espresso away and brought the cappuccino, they said, "Better late than never..." It's a shame, because the location and the concept have potential.

Great atmosphere, great food and the service was great.

Overpriced for what it is. The staff is rude and nonchalant. They are sneaky and manipulative - they advertised their restaurant with a gift card where you could pick a location and we picked one. Then they said it wasn’t valid and that it’s not their problem. Very rude.

This restaurant impressed us with its exquisite dishes. The food is simply divine and the dishes were an explosion of flavors. The staff was attentive, friendly, and very professional. The dishes were prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients!

Beautiful meal and great service Probably the best steak we have had. Slight issue with a neighbouring table sharing their experience on speaker / video with a friend. It was very loud. Thankfully a fellow diner approached the table and asked them to mute the phone.

Steak was just ok, the lobster was ok, the chips were rubbish and the service was shocking. Only about 3 tables with people on and took ages to get served. Was like kids were running the place. Paid over €100 for the food, was worth half that.

The drinks were great, and so was the ambiance. We wanted dinner, but despite a long wait, the service was abysmal.

Everything was stellar… One star missing because the steak salad was just inedible but everything else from drinks to service to ambiance to all the other food was fantastic.

We visited this restaurant last year and enjoyed it so much we came back again this year.

Steaks were prepared perfectly and delicious, service very haphazard and inconsistent, very crowded space, need to remove those two tops in the aisle way leading to back area, and back area very claustrophobic and tight. They have martinis on rhe menu but when we ordered just a vodka martini we were told they can’t do that. Scallop appetizer not cooked properly. Bread appetizer is just a sliced roll with a slab of butter, nothing spectacular. Presecco sorbet dessert should come with spoons, or you wait 10 mins for the paper straws to be useful. Our dirty dishes sat on our table for 20mins, we moved them to the empty table next to us.

I have food intolerances and this restaurant was great with checking the ingredients. Considering the location, the food is great. I loved the sea bass - I think it was fried, salad was good. French fries were not great, but I think it is a classic ff in Ams.

The meat was excellently prepared, and the fries were perfect too! It's a shame the service was completely incompetent (though friendly); they didn't know which beers and wines they served themselves, they brought the main course while the table was still full of plates from the starter, and they only asked once if we'd like something to drink—a real missed opportunity! What's truly unacceptable is staff gossiping about you within earshot, staff having loud private conversations at the bar, or staff who pop outside for a smoke and then come back to your table. The rock music was also completely inappropriate in the restaurant's serene and chic decor.

Horrible experience. A friend and I went and our waiter, although new, was not attentive and not thorough. He was unable to answer our questions regarding menu questions. The oysters were not good. I ordered a burger and asked that it be plain, to only include meat and cheese. It wasn’t plain and the waiter clearly doesn’t check the food before it comes out. My friend ordered a rare steak, the steak was cooked medium. Both entrees were to come with a side of fries, they only brought 1 side. We sat @ 2:46, food was brought at 3:30. Would not recommend. Save your money and time. The restaurant is beautiful but our service was awful. UPDATE : the restaurant responding to my initial review TWO YEARS LATER. the place is a joke

If there are two of you, ask for the table in the little corner by the window for a typical Amsterdam atmosphere. The steak and fries were outstanding. Warm bread served with herb butter generously spread on top — I’ll remember that! Excellent wine selection. Chose the Marqués de Cáceres. Flowers, lights, great atmosphere. A bit too noisy for my taste. But in that little corner it was really nice. Very friendly staff.

We are visiting from Australia and were looking for somewhere for a quick dinner after visiting Anne Frank house. The food here was delicious. We ordered steak and a burger with drinks. The bottomless fries were a bonus. We were definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a relaxing place to dine.

We waited half an hour for a waiter who walked by three times, never asked if we wanted the menu or anything to drink. We left after half an hour because, well, no one wanted to help us...

One of the best steaks I've ever had. It was cooked to perfection and the most perfect medium!! Little side salad was nice as it contained beetroot and no one does that anymore!! The fries though!! These were wonderful!!!! Would highly recommend

A lovely atmosphere. A modern and elegant place. Delicious food and excellent drinks. We tried excellent red meat and even lobster. The prices were reasonable for what we ordered. Worth trying again!

Overall, I enjoyed my experience at Black and Blue Amsterdam. The food was ok and the atmosphere welcoming. Prices are on the higher side, but they’re still in line with what you’d expect in Amsterdam for this type of dining. One small surprise was that we had to pay extra for bread, which I think could have been included. That said, the quality makes up for it. Definitely recommend making a reservation, as the place fills up quickly.

We had a reservation at 8 p.m., but they made us wait 30 minutes before giving us a table. To compensate for the wait, they offered us free drinks. We were sitting upstairs and were extremely hot. They didn't have enough water glasses to give us because they were being washed. We had appetizers of ham bruschetta, burrata, and eggplant. Then we had the burger. The food was delicious.

Absolutely horrendous. A MOUSE was running around the restaurant while we were eating. Staff did nothing. Business carried on as if this was a normal occurrence. Would not recommend at all. Some staff were not friendly or helpful at all and just wanted us gone as I had created a scene having saw the mouse. Could not eat dinner because of this yet was charged full price. Had to leave the restaurant.

We ate here just prior to our visit to the Anne Frank House. Reservations for 2. Great service, good steaks. And only a short walk to Ann Frank House. Highly recommend!

If you're looking for a cute, romantic restaurant in Amsterdam, this is the place to go!

I am forced to give the minimum rating to everything. We went out for dinner, and everything seemed fine at first. We each had a burger; the meat was good, and the sandwich overall wasn't bad. However, for about 22 euros per burger, I didn't expect to find two mice near my feet. Terrible experience. When the waitress asked if everything was okay, we reported that there were mice, and she acted as if it was completely normal. We left our dinner halfway through, and not even a courtesy discount was offered given the situation.

The 600 grams Ribeye beef is good for sharing. Medium rare is the key. Wine is good as well.

I loved the kiev mule drink I had and also the oysters. The steak was alright too but not as much as I expected. Overall they great service.

I made a reservation for one person at 6:30 PM. The restaurant has an elegant atmosphere and attentive service. The oysters are fresh and delicately flavored, and the Angus steak is juicy and delicious. This is my last meal in Amsterdam, and I would love to come back in the future.

It was an average experience overall. The food was okay, service was alright. I would say there is better places to go to over choosing here. I felt pushed aside, maybe because I was dining alone. But I personally wouldn't go back.

To be honest an amazing dinner, we all served steaks and there was amazing taste. Definetly a very good place to have dinner at anypoint when in Amsterdam. Dedinetly I will try it every time. The Rib-eye was delicious, the best I tried.

Lovely restaurant serving very high quality food, I had the scallops to start which had a nice crisp exterior but succulent inside. Followed by a blue black Angus steak which was cooked exactly right and was full of flavour, I wouldn't question a second visit and the prices were reasonable considering the city and quality of food.

A beautiful, modern restaurant with a simple but very good menu. The atmosphere is refined and pleasant, and the service is friendly. The steak and burgers are delicious! Even though they're very trendy, you can still chat and enjoy the evening. It's worth noting that they made us refill the French fries... you're basically limited by how much you can eat! Highly recommended!

On our visit, we were looking for something delicious to eat and came here on Google's suggestion, and I think it was one of the best. The service was excellent, and the food, my goodness, the flavor of the meat and the presentation of the dishes. It may not be the most typical, but I definitely recommend it.
