Blue Dog Breda in Breda centrum

We zijn afgegaan op de recensies op TripAdvisor en die waren terecht goed. Vooraf de brie tompouce en carpaccio. Op de tompouce niets aan te merken; erg lekkere smaken en niet té ’kazig’. Carpaccio was ook goed maar combinatie met hele oude kaas in plaats van Parmezaan was voor ons niet zo’n succes, en het miste voor ons iets zuurs zoals een kappertje. Als hoofdgerecht de steak en Blue Dog hamburger. Steak was mooi rood/rare, de seizoensgroenten vielen met een paar geroosterde tomaten wat tegen. Hamburger was goed van smaak en rijk belegd, met lekkere saus. Vlees alleen te ver doorbakken, had rosé mogen/moeten zijn. Alles bij elkaar goed, maar vanwege de kanttekeningen in verhouding tot de best forse prijzen geen 5 uit 5.

Vandaag heerlijk gegeten bij Blue Dog. Heel goede en prettige bediening. Alle gerechten waren superlekker! Een echte aanrader

Do you want good food, delicious cocktails and a cozy atmosphere? Then you should definitely go to Blue Dog! 🐶💙 Blue Dog is definitely recommended for a night out with friends, a date or just because you treat yourself.

We stopped for a quick drink and a small snack. Water for the dog was no problem, of course. Great location on the edge of town, with the shops just around the corner. Service was friendly and quick. We'd be happy to come back! Prices are okay! ☺️

Today I participated in the Wine & Food Walk. That's how we ended up at this atmospheric location. The staff is very friendly and sharp. The food was delicious with recommended matching wine. Lovely on the terrace!

This contemporary restaurant deserves the rating it has been given on Trip Advisor. Very quick and attentive service and good food stood out. The wine list is limited but well priced. Seating is available inside and out.

After having been with LocalTaste once, we now went for dinner. Liked it very much. You immediately feel welcome and at least an effort is made to serve you a delicious dinner: very successful! Here you as a guest are appreciated for being/being there. Really recommended.

Visited twice over our weekend stay in Breda. The staff were very friendly, the food was very tasty, and there was a great selection of drinks. Overall a lovely, laid back evening both times.

The service was good and they were cooperative, but the main course was very disappointing. This was not prepared to your liking. Unfortunately not until twice.

Interesting place. At first we sat outside, but it got cold and we moved inside. The interior made a really big impression. Very cozy, interesting selection of colors and paintings with dogs. Comfortable seats. I wanted to sit there. The service is very nice and takes care of your comfort. As for food, I tried the soup of the day, probably cubula soup with toast and cheese, I can still taste it. The coffee is also very delicious. My friend was delighted with the salmon :) I recommend it and I will definitely go back there myself.

For the second time on Friday evening we were refused at the door for a drink even though it was only 11:15 PM. Google states that they are open until 00:00 and on their site it even says until 02:00. No reason is given, only that the last round has passed. Reason for us never to come here again, not even for dinner.

What a nice and cozy restaurant!! The steak tartare was absolutely delicious, perfectly seasoned and highly recommended for lovers of this dish. The atmosphere in the restaurant was pleasant. The steak was also great, well prepared and top quality. What topped it all off was the friendly staff, who served us with care and attention.

We ate here during a weekend away in Breda. We can fully endorse the good reviews we read in advance. Friendly welcome, attractive decor, friendly and attentive service and delicious food. A very successful overall experience!

Good restaurant with excellent staff

We had an extensive presentation when it was carefully determined that I was pregnant. Super friendly and a lot of product knowledge! My husband had a vegetarian chicken sandwich which could have been dressed up a little more with, for example, a salad. Luckily I had a vegetarian hot dog with lots of attachments that we shared.

We hebben een topavond gehad in dit restaurant. Vanaf het begin werden we vriendelijk ontvangen en de sfeer was meteen goed. Het personeel was erg gastvrij. We merkten dat sommige medewerkers nog niet zoveel ervaring hadden, maar de gastheer loste dit heel goed op. Daardoor liep alles soepel en voelde het alsnog professioneel aan. Het eten was erg lekker en de prijs-kwaliteitverhouding was goed. Misschien had het hier en daar iets verfijnder gekund, maar dat is persoonlijke smaak. Al met al een fijne avond en we komen zeker nog een keer terug!

Beautiful, cozy spot in Breda, from the outside you wouldn't think it was so nice there. A very nice atmosphere, attentive and friendly staff, and the food is excellent. Definitely recommended

Very cool bar, we stopped to eat very late Spanish time 3pm, the service was not great and on top of that they made an effort to understand us, since we speak some English but Dutch is more dodgy. We ordered two burgers 🍔 and as you can see in the photos, the meats were delicious and super juicy. With a fries in a cone hehehehe and coke from a bottle, no machine. Normal price account, and a cool local atmosphere with many photos of dogs 🐕 very cool.

Eating for the first time in restaurant "Blue Dog" 🐾 ...... An attractive and cozy atmosphere, and a very hospitable welcome, friendly top staff (big compliments), and a delicious menu and dishes, really SUPER!!! That will be a keeper👌 (The Burrata and Carpaccio starter, the short rib & tournedos with truffle sauce, the sweet potato fries, the pavlova & tarte tatin, all a big 9)

Bij binnenkomst werden we vriendelijk begroet. Het is een mooie zaak, en is heel leuk ingericht. Goed eten, en de lekkerste tapenade die wij tot nu toe geproefd hebben.

Kwamen om 16.30 uur en om 17.00 begon de avondkaart. Lunchkaart was afgesloten. Dan maar een borrelplank. Gewoon een kleinigheidje, je moest er 2 bestellen, 1 kon niet met zijn 2-en. Dan maar 2x besteld. Vonden m tegenvallen qua smaak ieder 1 bitterbal vond ik ook een beetje weinig. Al met al een beetje een tegenvaller. Mensen kwamen binnenlopen voor een broodje maar dit ging niet. Jammer. Eem drankje buiten op t terras is wel een aanrader, lekker in t zonnetje maar eten voor ons niet meer.

I had the ciabatta short rib. Had a really great sandwich. Dare I say it's in my top 10 sandwiches. In addition, very friendly and attentive service. Nice tent!

Delicious meal with wine and food

Our third time at Blue Dog. This time we had a complaint about a portion of the sea bass that was too small. They then approached us with a gesture. Nice gesture! Until the next one!

Pleasant service and delicious food

In 2024 we spent our vacation in Holland...we also looked at the city of Breda...later looked for a good restaurant...since the reviews sounded good...we chose this one...a table it was free for 2...staff very nice and friendly...drinks and food were served quickly...the food tasted great...looked good...the dessert was also super tasty... .a successful visit to this restaurant for us...I can only recommend...

My husband and I went here for dinner during our visit to Breda. The service and the people working here was amazing! Such an amazing vibe, beautiful decorations and very very good food. I went with my grandparents here since they wanted to take me out to dinner and I got to choose where we were going to eat, so I wanted to eat here since I already saw the place when I walked around Breda and was curious about eating here. The food is incredible! From the starters, to the main dishes to the deserts, everything was great! And I haven't even said anything about the staff, they were incredibly nice and friendly and weren't afraid to make a joke or two. Price-quality wise, this is amazing, it's not too expensive and a great recommendation for people wanting to eat great food for a reasonable price.

We ate here based on the good reviews, but unfortunately we were very disappointed. First of all, it took fifteen minutes before we could order a drink, which we had to do ourselves. Only after half an hour did we have our drinks and after 1 hour our starter. The starter was very tasty, but then it took a very long time before we got our main course and it was unfortunately cold. The waiter asked if it tasted good and we indicated that it was cold, then he apologized, but he did nothing with it. The staff did not speak Dutch and stood behind the bar while guests were waiting. Empty tables were set while guests had no drinks. So not recommended.

Nice place and excellent dishes. The layout of the restaurant is not convenient, there are many tables tucked away in corners. And then with all the winter coats over the seats you get the feeling that it is too full. But if you are on time like us, you can choose a nice high table. The menu is not large but has enough options for every taste. Open wines are limited to 2 types and personally I miss an Italian red. Dishes are very tasty and portions just right. A bit on the pricey side, starter, main, dessert with 2-3 wines is 80,- pp. Service is very good, they see here whether you need anything... compliments

We sat on the terrace, looking at all the parked bicycles😉 and both had a coin from local taste for a tasting. Smooth service and nice young man. We got stewed veal with pumpkin cream. Very tasty and served with care on a warm plate👍. Paired very well with my wine. We were impressed and will definitely return for dinner.

Exudes a pleasant atmosphere with a great coffee

Normally I would always walk past this place, but now I went here for dinner. We both liked it very much. We also found the service very friendly. It was very hot that day, I sat in the full sun and got sunburnt. They did everything they could so that I would still sit in the shade of the parasols. We sat on the terrace. It wasn't particularly attractive on a main road, but it looked super cozy inside. Especially if you love dogs.

Een typische vier sterrenervaring: het was allemaal prima in orde, maar het miste net dat laatste stukje voor een perfecte beoordeling. De zeebaars met parelcouscous was lekker, de frietjes erbij prima en de cheesecake als toetje voldeed ook aan de verwachtingen. Bediening was vriendelijk, maar had misschien ietsje attenter mogen zijn. Tentje zelf ziet er verzorgd uit en heeft een prima sfeer.

Wat een aangename drankprijzen en zeer professionele bediening door een jongeman. Terras in de zon. Fietsenstalling voor de deur. Ideale plek voor een hapje en drankje op een zonnige fietstour. Wij waren met Urban Junkies en waren verrast door de hoge kwaliteit van de local taste en hoe de eigenaar ons erover vertelde hoe dit door de kok bereid was.

Het nadeel was je tapas tafeltje kwam dan kwamen er bijen rondom

Heerlijk gegeten bij Blue Dog! Het personeel is heel vriendelijk en goed op de hoogte van glutenvrij eten. Glutenvrije gerechten staan ook duidelijk aangegeven op de kaart. Ik kom zeker nog eens terug!

Muy recomendable! Durante nuestro viaje en moto de España a Suecia paramos de casualidad para picar algo y nos sorprendió gratamente. El servicio un 10! El chico que nos atendió en la terraza era muy amable y nos aconsejaba a la hora de pedir la comida y fue un acierto. La comida y la cerveza muy rica ☺️! Muchas gracias ! Absolutely nice service outside. Both guys were outstanding. However, truffel club sandwich didn’t taste truffel so it’s up to the kitchen to review it. Very nice triple karmeliet van het vat. Definetly will come back over.

Gezellige restaurant, waar je heel goed kan eten voor een betaalbare prijs. Personeel was erg goed en vrolijk!! Compacte menukaart, maar alles wat we besteld hadden was erg goed. Thanx.

Het is af en toe heerlijk om nog eens positief verrast te worden als het over restaurants gaat. In een stad vol met eetgelegenheden is de keuze soms overweldigend dus zijn we heel erg blij dat we bij de Blue Dog terecht zijn gekomen. Ik geef zeer zelden 5 sterren voor een restaurant (misschien zelfs nooit) maar deze 5 zijn meer dan verdiend! Het eten was werkelijk subliem! Naast het feit dat de borden prachtig waren opgemaakt smaakte alles ook nog eens heerlijk! De juiste wijnen en de zeer kundige, aardige en vrolijke medewerkers maakte dit restaurant echt een dikke AANRADER!!

Had the brie tompouce, which I highly recommend. Their sous vide short ribs are glazed with a delicious spicy and savoury sauce.
