The fries were delicious, and the person who brought our food was very kind and quick. The only thing that wasn't great was the chives; they were dried out. Everything else was good. 👍

Whether you're a tourist or a local, for me personally, Friet Panters is the right place to be. Not only is the food amazing, but the hospitality and friendliness of the staff is on a whole another level. No matter the language barrier, these people will find a way to make you feel welcome. A while ago, I went to Friet Panters, and I can confidently say: I haven't had better fries anywhere! The fries with truffle mayo and freshly grated Parmesan were delicious. The service was fantastic! The staff are very friendly, welcoming, and hospitable. The restaurant itself looks beautiful, with a great eye for ambiance and style. They recently brought their food truck to our work, and it was truly the most beautiful food truck I've ever seen. The fries? Fantastic again. Highly recommended!

Incredible fries, the staff is very kind and respectful

Never again!!!! The fries were fried way too long, dry and hard. Or the oil hadn't been changed. We ordered a specialty for 9 euros, and you expect something special. There were more skin and small, hard pieces in them than there were good, long fries available. When we pointed this out, we were indeed told they were fried too long. She also said she was sorry we hadn't tasted the right flavor. Well, sorry, if you know you've messed up, you don't serve it. It was truly disgusting, and believe me, I'm a true connoisseur of fresh fries. But I'll never come back here again.

What a fantastic chip shop! It's like a fancy snack bar :-) They offer a variety of deluxe fries and snacks. I had a delicious meal last night and the friendly lady behind the counter helped me immensely. I'll definitely be back!

Delicious snacks here, friendly and fast service. Nicely decorated too, really something different from your average chip shop. You can also order various special fries, which we really enjoyed. Vegetarian snacks are available 👍

Because of the reviews I had Friet Panters on my list to visit as soon as I would be in Breda. I was there 3 weeks ago and it was really disappointing. All the pieces of fries were small in size compared to what was seen in the photos of others and the worst thing is that it was also soaked in oil which made it taste really bad (it was in oil for too long so the fries absorbed the oil) I threw away the rest of what is shown in the photo because it was just not edible anymore. A huge waste of my money.

Last Saturday I went to Panters with great enthusiasm to eat delicious fries with truffle mayonnaise and grated cheese on top. This time it was so disappointing. The fries were dry and many small hard pieces instead of tasting crispy fresh fries in the mouth. I returned my plastic basket with fries and said that I am not used to this, my partner the same. No proposal was made to solve this while you pay quite a bit for this special combination of fries. We left. Afterwards we walked to the chip shop "de Toren" and there we ate delicious fresh well-fried fries, cheaper and value for money. Hereby very disappointed in how Panters does not accommodate its customers, while you say that it is not good and you return your fries uneaten. We also met people who had the same experience that same day and also complained about the bad fries. They were 6 people so they spent even more money than we did. Too bad because we often ate there and then we had long, crispy fries and fresh food.

For our company outing in Breda we ended up at Friet Panters. We had good communication in advance and they were very cooperative. The evening itself we had a delicious meal of fries and laughed with each other and the staff. This is definitely recommended!

We were here last weekend with a group of 22 people. The contact with Dennis beforehand was great! And could serve our large group well. The fresh fries were really delicious!! A top tent with a lot of atmosphere, nice decoration and the most important delicious food.

Service was fine, but the fries were hard and chewy. Nothing special about it. For €7.5 only 4 onion rings on top, which was also more dough than onion. Unfortunately not for us anymore.

We went here with local taste and got very tasty fries, truffle and peanut sauce for 1 coin. Accidentally broke a lamp, so less light. But it was resolved nicely :)

Wij bestelden twee speciale friet aan de balie. We kregen twee friet die lauw/koud was. De frietbakker vond het jammer voor ons, maar daar bleef het bij. Let er op dat je bestelling niet te lang blijft staan en koud wordt. Mensen die na ons kwamen werden bediend en hadden wel warme spullen. Wat ik niet goed vond was dat er op onze klacht niet gereageerd werd anders dan ‘jammer’.

We just ordered two special fries at the counter. We got them both lukewarm/cold. Reported to the chip shop. He thought it was a shame but did not make any compensation offer. I thought it was a shame too. He hopes it will be better next time. That's of no use to me because next time won't come. If you claim that you are the best chip maker and due to circumstances this is not the case, then be brave enough to take your loss and offer compensation. Teaching moment I think. Too late for us😟. People who came after us and to whom it was served at their table did have warm items. If you get it yourself at the counter, you apparently have to wait longer and you get cold fries, but for the same price. Too bad for such a great chip shop.

For fanatical potato lovers, this is definitely a place that will satisfy your expectations. Belgian-style fries prepared in several ways. The portions are solid and, according to the taster, tasty. Portion with ketchup €4.80. The decor is like in a go go tropical club. For me it's the bomb. April 2025

It's a super cute bar, I love the decor. The food is magnificent, typical Dutch, and delicious. You have to try the potatoes with chicken pesto. To die for. The bartender is very friendly and attentive.

Afgelopen week hebben wij hier een patatje gegeten n.a.v. alle goede recensies. De inrichting is top en echt gezellig. De keuze is reuze. Enkel de manier van helpen viel ons enorm tegen, de man achter de toonbank was erg vol van zichzelf en zijn zaak. De prijzen zijn erg hoog, de patat en sauzen vallen tegen. Gewoon prima voor een keer, maar door de manier waarop wij werden geholpen en continu aangekeken komen wij hier absoluut niet meer terug. Gemiste kans :)!

The best frie store in whole Breda

One of the most expensive places we have eaten at to date. Fries are good but not exceptional, there are definitely better options. Snacks were very good. Satay sauce looked like a supermarket sauce.

Went here last Friday when we did the Local Taste through Breda. What a great tent! The owner is really made for this business and the assistant that day also did his job very well! The owner gave us tips on what we could do with the remaining coins from the local taste. Great guy. In short; Very tasty with very good service!!! If we ever come to Breda again, we will visit here again!!!!

Last Thursday I was at Frietpanters and what a wonderful experience that was! The first thing I noticed was the friendly staff. They really radiate hospitality and make you feel welcome immediately. And then the fries, they were simply perfect: wonderfully crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and just the right taste. really recommended!!

Afgelopen donderdag was ik bij Frietpanters en wat een fijne ervaring was dat! Het eerste wat opviel, was het vriendelijke personeel. Ze stralen echt gastvrijheid uit en zorgen ervoor dat je je meteen welkom voelt. En dan de friet, het was gewoonweg perfect: heerlijk knapperig aan de buitenkant, zacht van binnen en precies goed van smaak. echt een aanrader!!

I was looking for a nice chip shop in the center of Breda and ended up here. When I walked in it already looked super nice and atmospheric, not something you quickly see... I was well helped and received by friendly staff!!! The food almost makes you want it every day, highly recommended!!

I found this place thanks to Google and Tripadvisor. The fries are so tasty with the extra toppings. I had truffle and Parmesan. The best cheesy chips I have ever had. The staff member was very helpful too. Recommended.

I ordered a portion of fries with mayo. You expect at least crispy fries from a place with such good reviews. Unfortunately I received a portion with leftovers that I think have already been in the frying oil three times. Therefore 1 star for the food. Enjoy your meal!

Yesterday my other half and I visited the always beautiful Breda. We strolled through the city center and thoroughly enjoyed the vibrant life. At one point we were hungry. There is plenty of choice to enjoy something from the various dining options on offer. We walked into a small street and our eyes fell on a chip shop. What a huge cozy restaurant. The enthusiastic staff who radiated joy that there was so much attendance really gave me satisfaction. Saskia ordered normal fries with pesto mayonnaise and I ordered large fries with peanut sauce. We were told "Take a seat and we will come to you shortly with your order." The person in front of us had ordered small fries and spontaneously received large fries. "With the employee's apology that a mistake had been made." Our order was then brought to Saskia, a cone with pesto mayonnaise and I had my fries with peanut sauce. The employee noted that I had small fries and that I would get the remaining fries later. 5 minutes later the spontaneous employee came by with a bowl of fries that you were surprised about. We really enjoyed the feast. Saskia enjoys her fries with pesto mayo and I enjoy my very large fries with peanut sauce. I can recommend everyone to eat fries here once, highly recommended. If there were more than 5 stars to give, they would get them from me. Really great and next time we are in Breda again we will definitely get fries here again. Please keep it up. 👍

Best fries in the Netherlands!!

With loaded fries you expect a gourmet version of fries. The loaded fries with satay are literally standard fries with a calve tub of satay sauce from the jumbo on top, some fried onions from a container from the jumbo and a hint of chives. You pay €7 euros for that!!! You can make this at home. This has made me quite sad. Inside you hardly hear the cash register person because for unknown reasons the music has to be very loud. This is really a shame.

Service is fine, but I think the fries are a bit disappointing. Hard fries at the bottom of the chip bag. Not tasty

One of the best chip shops in the beautiful center of Breda. The menu is versatile but not overwhelming. The appearance is contemporary and certainly not average. The manager is always friendly and smiley. Have been coming here for years to enjoy quality fries. Absolutely recommended!!!

I went here sometime in January for some fries. What a VERY good service. A real congratulations to the employer for selecting employees who really do their work with love. And congratulations to the employees for their enormous customer friendliness and good atmosphere. If there is a mistake, they immediately offer a solution. I am more than satisfied and this will definitely become my new favorite & regular place!
