They're not allowed to serve tap water?!? And the coffee is totally mediocre, a cappuccino is more like sweetened milk. It's an ok place if you need to sit.

The place is very beautiful, and the food is very good. The prices are Amsterdam-like, so they're a bit steep, but there's a wide selection. It's very close to the Van Gogh Museum.

A very nice café where you can have a good breakfast or lunch. The café is beautifully decorated, the seating is comfortable, and the service is quick (all the staff speak English). We went for breakfast and had delicious scrambled eggs and a good cake. The coffee was good and they also offer milk alternatives (unfortunately, not the hot chocolate). And the prices are reasonable too (two breakfasts, a piece of cake, a large water, and two hot drinks for €50). All in all, a lovely café centrally located near the more well-known museums, and well worth a visit. :)

Had a lovely lunch at Blushing Amsterdam. The croquettes were amazing and the prices were very reasonable. Great food and good value. If you’re stopping by for lunch, give the croquettes a try.

Right across from the Van Gog Museum is a very charming cafe; we preferred to have coffee there.

Where to start? The pancakes where good but the rest was like a bad joke. The food was overpriced, we and several tables around us didn't get our drinks until we had almost finished our food. They sold "homemade lemonade " that was clearly Sprite and the waitress touched the eating-part of the cutlery with her hands (instead of the side that you don't put in your mourh) when she was refilling the cans of cutlery. Just no basic hygien at all. Oh and we had to ask several times to pay. The place was not very busy and there where a lot of staff so it seemed strange that it was so unorganized

A very good breakfast before visiting museums. A very pleasant place with cheerful staff from the moment you wake up. Don't miss it, as you can find a nice little table inside or on the terrace. The coffee is excellent.

Service is non existent. The poor lad on the patio had no help for the many tables here. It cost me 17 euros for ONE egg benedict. Would never recommend this place.

The service was exceptional; all the staff were very friendly and gave the place a comfortable vibe. The food was delicious with generous portions, and the prices were reasonable for the area. It was clearly very popular, but the service was quick, so it didn't feel crowded. They played good music at a comfortable volume, allowing for easy conversation.

We entered this cafe in a cold morning to wait for the museum to open. Totally random. What a surprise! The service was fantastic, the staff was so kind! The food exceed our expectation and pancakes was 10/10.

The tuna melt and croque monsieur (approximately €14 each) were served on a plate without any salad or garnish; this looks a bit bare and lacks care. The taste was good.

Best avoid. Stupid setup, rude staff. Cramped with a bunch of people waiting for their takeaway. As I let others through who wanted to be seated, I got told off by a staff member because she didn’t like that the door was open (she couldn’t handle that it was windy for a short moment). Slow service also.

Great location - Extremely close to museums and beautiful interior. But it is kinda overpriced for small portions and mediocre taste food.

We came for breakfast; the coffees and juices were good, as was the omelet. The service was very pleasant. The prices are a little high, but still reasonable.

They won’t let you order take-away with an employee, you have to use a QR code. Of course the website wouldn’t load, so I didn’t order anything. Waste of my time. In general, I don’t want to spend money at an establishment that treats customers like bots. It’s a completely dehumanizing experience.

Wanted a quick breakfast before being scheduled for a museum visit, and this is the coziest place you can find nearby. The omelette was great, juice was fresh, had the coffee to go. Was in and out in 20 minutes. Wham! Bam! Thank you, mam! Better check it out! The service is top notch!

First I have had bad food and not so great service, I have never given a negative review. Today is the first ! I was in my own, I ordered, the foods came very quickly, the food was good, I wasn't offered any dessert or coffee and my dirty plate wasn't removed. I waited a good 10 mins, I asked for the bill when the next waitress came to the table next to me, I paid I also left a tip. I left, when I got outside the building I realised I had left my umbrella, I went back apologised, and collected it, I left again, I was about to cross the tram tracks when I heard a female shout wait wait!! You need to pay!!!! Everyone was looking at me... I said but I already have paid and left a tip, she was adamant I hadn't, I said I can show you my bank account to prove i paid, she said but who!!! She went on speaking to 2-3 of the waitresses did she pay you? Did she pay you??? I said It was a different lady stood by the far for I paid...bu this time everyone one else in the restaurant was looking at me! I was mortified!! The lady came over and said yes she paid me. The first female said ok, you can go, I said an apology would be nice, she replied do you want coffee!!!! No I wanted the ground to open and swallow me, I hate being the centre of attention at any time !!! I said no I would prefer an apology, honest truth she said it was a system error she could give me coffee. No I wanted an apology she finally gave I and said sorry. But really....system error pls check first before shouting out loud and refusing to give an apology.

Very convenient for a quick breakfast or lunch before or after the museums. Beautiful Alice in Wonderland-style decor. Fast, friendly service. The food was mediocre: the pancakes were good, the eggs benedict were well-presented, but they were cooked incorrectly: they were practically hard-boiled and not as crispy as they should be.

Best service, best food and the brownie ? Wow ?!!! This is gluten, lactose and sugar free? It is the best one I had in years, if not ever!!! Finally something sweet which is pleasant and not extreme that you go into a sugar coma. I need to try the rest of that menu!! Also..the decoration and style is out of this world. Really love it here!

At this lovely bistro, we ordered a savory breakfast with avocado toast, salmon and other specialties: everything was delicious and high quality. The prices are a bit high, but justified by the proximity to the Van Gogh Museum and the highly touristy area. A pleasant experience. Recommended!

I order a coffee on the terrace in 30-degree heat and ask for a glass of tap water. Impossible. No, ma'am, we are not allowed to give you a glass. We only sell bottles of Spa Blue.

Blushing in Amsterdam is a decent, straightforward spot near Museumplein, though nothing extraordinary. The venue gets busy, so expect a bit of a wait during peak hours. Excellent little place in front of the museums. We went before our museum trip and we were a little worried about time, but they served us good food maybe 5 minutes after ordering. Everything we got was delicious, it was a nice atmosphere and the staff was very attentive. Excellent experience

I came here for a late lunch. Food: 4/5 - there's a good selection of food ranging from breakfast entrees to pasta. I ordered the Smoked salmon Benedict on a croissant. Fresh and tasty. Service:4/5 - friendly servers. Atmosphere: 4/5 nice ambiance where there's both outdoor and indoor seating. The restaurant is close to the museums.

Food was done super fast. Best shakshuka I’ve had in Amsterdam! Loved everything about it. There are also glutenfree, vegetarian, superfree options and a lot more! The sandwich was great as well. Would recommend!

This was one of the worst breakfast experiences we've had in Amsterdam😞 The staff were incredibly rude and condescending. They kept rolling their eyes whenever we asked a question, and when it was time to split the bill, a waitress literally stood over us, looking impatient and rolling her eyes again. It made us feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome. They also forgot our coffee, and when it finally arrived, it was badly over-roasted and tasted burnt. The food was just as disappointing. The breakfast was bland, and the bacon was so overcooked that it was dry and almost inedible. Overall, the service was unprofessional, the food was poor, and the atmosphere was unpleasant because of the staff's attitude. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Blushing is an LGBTQ+ friendly Cafe. A wonderful little corner just by the Rijksmuseum. Food is good, prices are decent and the coffee makes the entire thing worth a visit for both breakfast and afternoon breaks. I'll be returning for certain.

The waitress, Chanet, is nicer than Chanel around the corner.

Food is too salty for our family

The food is okay, but the drinks are mediocre to bad and they’ll charge you 2.50€ for a cup of hot water. A tourist trap if I’ve ever seen one

This place is super cute, right across from two large museums and offers a good selection of drinks (alcoholic and non alcoholic) and breakfast/lunch items. We got the eggs Benedict and mashed avocado with toast and salmon. The eggs benedict was a bit smaller than we were expecting but the mashed avocado toast was a perfect size. Iced lattes were also good. The decor was super cute and I loved the wording and humor in their menus :-)

We ordered the Eggs Benedict and an omelette. The food was decent, but the service left a lot to be desired. Our server came across as rude from the start. When she asked if we'd like drinks, I replied that we'd have coffee later. Instead of simply acknowledging that, she felt the need to tell us that we weren't allowed to drink our own water in the restaurant, which seemed unnecessary and unwelcoming. I was also surprised to find that we were charged for ketchup after I requested some for my omelette. While that may be the restaurant's policy, it would have been courteous to mention there was an extra charge. To top it off, the server explicitly asked us for a tip at the end of the meal. In my experience, that's inappropriate and made for an uncomfortable finish to an already disappointing service experience. Distasteful expreince in all !!

Went there for food, food is mediocre, meanwhile, multiple waiters bumped into me 3 times total. For reality check I’m one tiny Asian. 2 of the times I was just in my chair. 1 of the time I was on my way to washroom. Why? I got bumped into more times in this restaurant than on the busy streets of Amsterdam.

I didn't pay for hotel buffet so I could find places like this one. This is a quiet lovely place to start of a slow morning. The kitchen was very fast, the plates came in in under 10 minutes (the coffee took a bit more, but still within reasonable time). We had the omelet and the avocado toast, both served with a slice of delicious sourdough bread. The chai latte was also very delicious. The lady who served us was nice and warm, always checking in with us.

On arrival we explicitly stated to the waitress that one of us has coeliac disease. She ordered a gluten free version of the food that she wanted and they stated this would all be ok. They then served us gluten in the gluten free dish which the coeliac member of our party ate. Then the waitress came and told us it actually did have gluten in it after she had already taken a bite of it. They remade the dish for her but she had already eaten the gluten and then they refused to take the remade dish off of the bill. If you have given a gluten free person gluten the least you can do is take the singular dish they ate off of the bill. Not only did she refuse to do this, she argued with us. Ridiculous service, don’t go here if you are gluten free. Not only is this inconvenient it is actually dangerous, especially in a country you are not from where you are not familiar with the healthcare system should she need medical assistance.

Perfect breakfast if you are in the zone during the morning, the price is well proportioned to the quality and taste of the breakfast you will have! The staff was really kind even during rush hour, Congratulations!
