A small café where you can easily buy a slice of cake, a croissant, and a drink and leave. The location and interior aren't suitable for large numbers of customers or a long stay. The staff is more focused on themselves than on the customers.

Whilst waiting to order the barista's were superbusy with talking amongst eachother about their DJ career. Then when you finally place your order, pay (even tip, out of courtesy), get your drink and you sit down to get your tablet out to send an email.... That is the moment tell you it is only allowed to sit with a laptop or tablet at 'the big table'. Which of course is fully occupied as it is not such a big table. A simple sign at the entrance would avoid any confusion. Or maybe the barista's could interact with their clients.... just a bit.

Super delicious cookies! We had two hot chocolates and a cookie that was definitely enough for two. The hot chocolates were a glass of frothed milk with real Belgian chocolate to mix in yourself. Simply fantastic!

Always very good coffee here, but today a very unfriendly and unpolite girl making my coffee. I was the first client, no good morning, no thank you, no nothing. I make my excuses that I was disturbing you asking for coffee.

Nice cozy place to grab a coffee and dessert. The service is kind a weird, or they will take your order, or you have to wait since the 2 of them don't have some organization going on. Coffee was OK, the lemon tart is excellent, and the red juice is amazing. There is indoor and outdoor sitting. You order at the front and wait for your drinks. It seemed it's connected to some store.

The service was rather bland, it took them a long time to serve us when the bar was empty. I had to clean my own table and take what I bought to my own table. The coffee I ordered did not taste good, it was burnt.

Good coffee with a nice selection at reasonable prices, typical of this chain. The cakes are decent, but the croissants are overcooked, not worth. Service is fair—staff (likely students) are friendly and well-trained. The cozy atmosphere is enhanced by its location next to a home decor shop. However, laptops are not welcome (except at a central table), and there’s no free Wi-Fi. In winter, the place is uncomfortably cold.

Lucky me.! The only place near my hotel (The Hoxton) that was open early on Saturday - 06:00. Croissants and Chocolate Croissants are excellent, as is the Portuguese custard pastry (sorry, forgot the Dutch name). Got my order to go as I was in a rush and they packaged it up nicely.

The coffee and cheesecake are good but the service was terrible. There was this english speaking girl with dark hair, she was so moody and didn’t even look at me or talk to me while ordering. I was in shock. I love the HAY items in there but the chairs were too big and it was just a mess.

First of all, the coffee is extremely expensive. I paid €3.50 for a small cappuccino. Customers receive very poor service from the employees. The employees seem to be more concerned with each other (nice chatting) than with the customers. It's very busy in here and that's why there was almost no place to sit. We were lucky that someone at the high tables was just leaving, so we were able to sit. Tables are not cleared or cleaned very late by the staff. The girls who work here almost all wear their hair down. This is not professional or hygienic because they work with food and drinks. What if a long hair ends up in someone's order? In the same room as the coffee bar there is a shop with furniture and small decorations for the home. You don't see anyone shopping there at all. It would be better if this large space was also used for the coffee bar so that customers have more space to sit.

Cold welcome as indicated in other comments, The waitress forgets half of the order, namely the cakes (so double wait) then forgets the spoon (great how I'm going to eat the cake).

Coffee was normal one, not tasty, but around in all coffee shop is even worth. So if you want to find good sort if coffee you need to look around not in the city center. It is nice atmosphere and service, but taste of coffee not good.

Had a delicious cappuccino and a flat white with a cheese cake. Everything was of good quality. A nice place to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city.

I was with my friend and asked coffee with coconut milk. 🥥 Unfortunately, my friend's coffee was without coconut milk. We said about that to the stuff. They responded that it contains coconut milk and showed coco milk package. We drink this one often and it is not that milk on our coffee. Really upset.

I ordered a coconut milk coffee. I had it made with oat milk. I asked for a remake and was told it was coconut milk. It didn't taste like coconut at all. I always drink my coffee on coconut so I know what it tastes like.

I came here misled by other reviews, claiming this place is a great study area. However, there is no Wi-Fi. It was a total waste of time. Food is average, and coffee below average... In my opinion, Starbucks in Amsterdam is way better than this.

Went in on Sunday morning for a breakfast. Staff were really welcome and friendly, the vibe is relaxed and comfortable and the cinnamon croissant is bang on .

Don’t get me wrong the atmosphere was perfect but don’t get misled by this is a coffee shop, it’s not! Other than that for quality beans with quality machines, this is the place for a 10 minute coffee break!

It was wonderful place and good food. It was public holidays it beitiful place for breakfast and brunch. The vibe was like home and cozy with couches. But it was bit crowded with alot of chairs I hope they will condiser to make more space to walk pass.
