Bonnie Amsterdam was a great stop. We had a smash burger with Parmesan truffle fries and a Duvel 666. Everything was really pleasant: the patty was clearly high quality, juicy and well cooked, and the bun was as buttery as it gets. The fries were crispy and full of flavor. The staff was super nice and the vibe in the place was incredible. Would happily come back.

We spontaneously went for lunch and it was absolutely fantastic. The homemade lemonade was delicious and the food was very tasty. The club sandwich was quite large but really delicious. The atmosphere was very cozy. We felt very comfortable.

Great spot for (casual) group gatherings. Definitely check the menu ahead of time. Some dishes feel a bit underwhelming (like the quarter salad head, more garnish than meal). While others are solid and satisfying. It’s a bit of a mixed bag, but if you order smart, you’ll be fine.

The food, cod with French fries, was delicious. Then came the Baileys cheesecake...it was truly amazing. The service was very attentive, friendly, and professional. Highly recommended!

Although the food tasted fine, the portion size was shockingly small. €14 for a single slice of brown bread with a minimal amount of mushrooms is simply overpriced. The quality doesn’t justify the cost, and the value for money is very poor

I ate here last night for my birthday, and it was generally really good. We were served by Anna (if I'm not mistaken), who was super sweet and attentive. We arrived half an hour early and were seated right away. The starters were excellent, especially the crispy tuna and the pulpo, which are highly recommended. The main courses were also good; the cooking methods were perfect, as were the fries and salad. Unfortunately, the sirloin steak had just run out, so we ordered a double portion; I wouldn't recommend the truffle. Everything was really delicious. As Belgians working in a meat restaurant in Antwerp, we expected the sauces to be a bit stronger. The béarnaise was more like hollandaise, and the pepper sauce hadn't thickened. If that were still perfect, it would have made the experience perfect. The veal jus, on the other hand, was delicious. I was told there were no Belgian beers, while later I saw a Liefmans Kriek on the menu. Too bad, because otherwise I would have had that instead of the amaretto sour. Dessert was once again sold out, but that was nicely compensated with desserts and hot drinks on the house, a gesture we, as hospitality professionals, greatly appreciate. It's great to find a place in Amsterdam with authentic Dutch hospitality. We came from Antwerp and will definitely be back (also for the prime rib ;-)) Thank you for the wonderful birthday!

The people who work here are very kind and helpful. The atmosphere is very nice and homey, it feels like you walk into a living room. When I arrived, I wanted to see formula 1 and they put it on for me. They had multiple beers I tried a couple and enjoyed them. So there’s some for anyone. I would so go and strike up a conversation, very social, very kind. An overal good time👍.

Had a very nice lunch with a beer here. At first service was a little slow and lackluster but after we ordered our drinks everything went very smooth. The melanzane sandwich and the croque madame you really have to try when you visit here.

We visited Bonnie's for my son's bday last weekend and had an absolute blast. Beautiful building and ambiance on a corner of the Amstelveensweg. Wood and copper set the tone and give the place a true vintage Parisian bistro vibe. At entrance, where a large bar area welcomes primarily local guests, the buzz is sizzling. The bar area flows over seamlessly into a great dining space with a semi open kitchen where the kitchen staff works relentlessly to cook up absolutely fabulous smash burgers, which were recently selected to be the best burgers in town. The side dishes were also very tasty. We did find the portions of those a little small for the price (a skewer with 3 pieces of pulpo with some greens; 15 euro's). The best burgers in town however were deliciously priced at only 20,- Super friendly and professional staff welcomed us with warmth and congratulated my kid with fireworks on his burger and singing happy birthday with the whole restaurant. That was such a great surprise, thanks again! All in all 5 very well deserved stars for Bonnie, keep it up guys, and girls. There don't seem to be many Korean reviews, perhaps because most people are sightseeing and eating at the central station. However, if you're staying in a nearby hotel, I recommend this place. I arrived at 10:50 AM and asked if the lunch menu was available. I was told they were preparing it and asked me to wait 10 minutes. They finally took my order a little after 11 AM. I ordered the Bonis Smash Burger (with truffle fries) and a small Heineken. It was delicious!! The sauce was familiar, but I'd never tried it on a burger before. It's mustard-based, similar to what you'd find on a hot dog in Korea. The patty was also a bit unique. Koreans might find it a bit salty, but I enjoyed it with beer. I'd been feeling a bit intimidated by rude customers for a few days, but the ladies who took my order and served me were incredibly kind. I'm a big eater in Korea, so I could eat a Whopper burger all by myself, but I was so full I left some fries. I ate inside on the first floor because it was a bit cold, but I think there's also an outdoor seating area and a second floor.

This restaurant is extremely disappointing. I don't know where all the good reviews come from. The sandwiches were mediocre, and the smoked salmon was fishy and lacked any seasoning. The burgers were mediocre and very salty. The kitchen staff used their hands to handle the ingredients. The freshly squeezed juice had sand in it, so the waiter tasted it and replaced it with something else. The most outrageous thing was that when I paid €51, I gave €60, and the waiter pretended the remaining change was a tip. He took the money and didn't give me change. I waited for several minutes and finally went to the front desk to ask. The waiter pretended to have forgotten and only gave me €9 in change!

We love coming here. The prices and menu have changed over the years. We both had a starter, a main course, and a side dish. A few years ago, you got side dishes with your main course. Now, you have to order side dishes with your meat or fish, and that quickly adds up to around forty euros—just for your main course. Not really appropriate for a pub? It's a shame if you're still a bit hungry after your main course.

Quality place for a nice smash burger and good fries. Service was fast and the place has tons of seating, lots of outdoor seating too! Has a good list of drinks available too!

Horrible service. Food takes forever to arrive, only if you remind them a million times. Overly priced and hyped. Not worth it. Does it really take 30mins to makes fries and bitterballen, I mean!

We had a wonderful meal here – the smash burger, steak au poivre, and the truffle parmesan fries were absolutely fantastic. The focaccia with whipped butter as a starter was also delicious. The prices are very reasonable, and the atmosphere in the restaurant is cozy. What was a shame, however, was the service. We had to wait almost 20 minutes before anyone came to us, while tables around us were already being served. Orders were sometimes forgotten (sparrot, straw), sometimes taken incorrectly (ginger ale instead of cola), and several times we were told they would "be right back," but that didn't happen. It wasn't until much later that we were able to order our food. In short: the food, atmosphere, and price are definitely worth it, but the service could still improve considerably to make the experience complete.

Bonnie's is a great place with comfortable seating both inside and out. We had lunch there and both had the steak sandwich for 16 euros. The taste was fine, but the quantity, and especially the steak itself, left much to be desired. As served, it's not worth 16 euros. The service is friendly but not very attentive or fast.

I very much like the terrace at Bonnie. Plenty of lunch options, Caesar salad is my go-to and with real grilled chicken! Service is not very attentive like in most places in Amsterdam.

Very nice interior! Tables are small, but good. Our starter was accidentally served at another table (this was noticed and an apology was offered), which meant we had to wait extra long and the service did not realize in time that we had not yet received our starter. The starter had been removed from the receipt, we saw later. Also waited a very long time for coffee after dessert. Too bad, because it is a really nice place! Unfortunately, no second time for us.

I’ve been here twice — once for dinner upstairs and once for lunch downstairs. The smashburger I had the first time was excellent, easily a 9/10, and the fries were great too. However, the atmosphere upstairs felt a bit cramped and less inviting. During my second visit, I had the steak sandwich, which was less impressive, but the downstairs seating was much nicer. Overall, I’d rate the vibe a 7.

I discovered the bar completely by accident when I was walking around to check in. I knew at first glance that this would be the place for the evening! It was a great choice. Very helpful staff, pleasant atmosphere inside, heating in the outdoor garden! A wide selection of snacks (after them I couldn't even have the planned dinner, because it simply wouldn't fit in me anymore :)) And the recommended fine sparkling rose wine was also a great choice for my party in one. The service was helpful, accommodating! I'm definitely saving the place to my favorites for my next possible visit to Amsterdam.

Food was outstanding. We had the smash burger and it was absolutely delicious. It took an unusually long time for the waitress to come and collect our order and the restaurant was 60% full so I would not expect that.

We had a lovely time at Café Bonnie in Amsterdam! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. Although the food took a little while to arrive, it was absolutely worth the wait. You could really taste the freshness and high quality of the ingredients – everything was delicious and clearly made with care. The restrooms were very clean and smelled pleasantly of room fragrance, which we really appreciated. One small note: the mirrors in the lower area could perhaps be cleaned a bit more frequently – but that’s just a tiny suggestion in an otherwise wonderful experience. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a cozy spot with great food and warm service in Amsterdam!

After hearing good stories about the smash burger, we decided to drop by. We were not greeted upon arrival, but the customer after us was. Okay, no disaster can happen. After we ordered a drink I asked for the menu and was told that 'dinner is only from 6'. Very strange answer because I can't smell what's on the drinks menu. In any case, the burger was tasty but the service from the staff was really bad, little energy, they didn't make eye contact and seemed to only be concerned with themselves. Shame!

Populaire tent! Erg druk. Nieuwe interieur en gezellig sfeer. Gerechten zijn groot en goed van smaak. Genoeg dressing over de salade, genoeg kip & genoeg saus over de frietjes. Personeel is vriendelijk, maar is er erg druk. Daardoor moet je soms lang wachten. Een karaf water wordt altijd neergezet op tafel, top service! Overall prima plek om gezellig te lunchen, zeker met mooi weer op het terras!

Looks like a nice and trendy tent. However, you are not greeted by any of the staff upon arrival, neither the wait staff nor the bar staff. I found this a bit strange. Furthermore, the food was okay, nothing special. The service was good.

Later, I ordered one more margarita, and Omar responded with, “Are you sure you need to be drunk for this?” As if one margarita and an IPA meant I was intoxicated. He seemed unable to distinguish between someone drinking to cope with stress and someone drinking irresponsibly. Instead of simply serving the drink or politely declining, he strongly recommended I shouldn’t have another and then told me to find a new bar. For the record, my dog was only two minutes away. My receipt shows it was just 1:00 PM. The food was mediocre, but the spicy margarita was fantastic. I still left a tip—€5. The other waitstaff were lovely, so my complaint is solely about Omar. He could use an attitude adjustment.

Very lovely bar, with nice food selection and excellent customer service

Nice place, good atmosphere and fast service. We had the Bonnie's Smash Burger and the Avocado Toast with poached eggs and salmon. Both the burger and toast were phenomenal, all the ingredients were carefully brought together and perfectly prepared. To wash it all down we had the homemade hibiscus ginger iced tea that went down well with the surprising hint of cinnamon. The bottle of water on the house was also very nice and very welcome. The only point of criticism I would like to give is that the fries with the burger were a bit boring and I don't think the mayo was homemade, but that really doesn't deserve a name.

Pre-booked a table of two for a Sunday night. Arrived promptly, told to sit at any table upstairs. Took a seat at the only free table. Left the premises twenty minutes later as the table had still not been cleared from the previous guests and we had not been acknowledged by any wait staff.
