Very nice restaurant, only the service could be friendlier

Well attended, almost overcrowded. Changing colored disco lighting. There is hand cream in the toilet. Small selection for vegetarians. A bit expensive.

I was surprised seeing pretty low rating of this place, unjustly! So, I’m here to improve it. Great place in the middle of the Amsterdam. Food is delicious. Cocktails perfect. Personnel - amiable. Interior and atmosphere - relaxing. Liked it very much. Five stars from me.

Today at 6:15 the service was very bad. The man standing at the door was not nice to us. He is of Asian nationality. We told him we want to sit down and he said sorry, I cannot help you! Even though the tables are empty. After that, we sat down and wanted to change the table. He shouted in front of everyone. How can he deal with customers this way? I will never come to this place again

Delicious food, this time ordered 2 pastas (tagliatelle bolognese and a tagiatelle with truffle sauce and mushrooms) with some drinks. We definitely recommend it at an AA location (that's what you pay for)

Waited 20 minutes to order and then another 40 minutes for 2 beers.

One of the waitresses was shockingly rude from the moment we arrived. She seemed annoyed when we asked questions about the menu, gave curt responses, and rolled her eyes when we made a simple request to adjust our order. The atmosphere of the restaurant and the food might have been decent, but the experience was completely ruined by her attitude. I’ve never been treated so poorly at a restaurant before, and I won’t be returning. If customer service isn’t a priority, I suggest finding somewhere else to dine.

Service was great, friendly and always with a smile, an excellent refuge from the rain. Warm and inviting, food delivery was quick and the chef can be seen tirelessly working away. Prices are reasonable considering the location and the surrounding competition.

The place is really beautiful, it is quite enjoyable to sit with the view of Dam Square. But I can't say the same for drinks. We didn't like the hot wine very much, it was cold and tasteless. Hot chocolate and coffee were also served lukewarm.

Famous location right on Dam Square where there is always something to see. Excellent cake and delicious coffee specials. Remarkably friendly service. Prices as you would expect in the heart of Amsterdam, but also good quality.

Club sandwich for breakfast is good, but I didn't expect they put chips instead of fries.

We sat at this cafe and restaurant 7-8 times in 5 days, right in the center of Amsterdam. Since it is a very crowded cafe, the service is slow from time to time, typical Europe. So, as you understand, there is not much to do in the city.

I wish we had been having lunch here,however, no,we stopped for a cuppa/cake, before we went on the Anne Frank walking tour. What a lovely, cheerful welcome,we received, from (sorry I don't know his name), the tall,slim, black ( possibly gay)- please don't take offence- none intended. I just wanted to pay a special complement to him,because he gave us such a warm,welcome to the restaurant, couldn't do enough for the diners! Hats off,to him! Anyway, we had a cuppa/cake, lovely girl serving us, the deserts were beautifully presented and So,tasty! Hubby had the dutch apple pie, I had stroopwaffel! Mmmmm!! Tasty/lekker!! Thank you very much for the hospitality! I highly recommend 👌

Too busy, no Dutch speaking staff and food was cold instead of hot, it was a special experience.

Overpriced. You can't expect anything else at this prime location. It's fun, people watching and enjoying a nice drink or snack. The staff is friendly, but you can tell that everything is in a hurry, so you don't dare strike up a conversation here.

We were only in Amsterdam for 4 nights, but had lunch here 3 times, the service was always amazing and the food is of a really high standard, a great place to people watch over a lovely glass of fizz and food, we never once felt rushed, even though the restaurant was always busy. I think one of our waitresses was called Nancy, she was a real character and gave great service, a real credit ! The prices are what you would expect, especially giving the location, we never once felt that it wasnt value for money. Great restaurant, with great food.

Long waiting times, but friendly staff. The prices are immensely high! The worst thing is the cleaning staff who literally force you to give a tip before you use the toilet!

I'm used to something. And knew that Adam is not cheap. But this really shocked me. For a coke 5.30. I think the rest on the menu is on average 35/40% more expensive than the average in the Netherlands. And then also put someone near the toilet to try to catch money. And then also a dirty toilet where a lot was broken.

Wonderful food, lovely staff and great atmosphere. We sat side the restaurant to have our evening meal. However, you did have the option to sit outside over looking the square. Cocktails were spot on too.

Entrecote niet gevraagd of deze medium of zo moest zijn kreeg een erg doorgebakken stukje vlees. Niet echt top. De saté die mijn partner had waa ok. Dessert was wel ok. Prijzen nogal fors

Fraudulent Billing!! I visited this place twice in two consecutive days. On the first day, while paying, I found items on the bill that I hadn’t ordered. I asked the waiter, who checked and came back apologizing, saying it was a mistake. I paid, thinking it was just a typo. The next day, I returned, but this time, while paying, I found even more items added that I hadn’t ordered! I spoke to the waiter directly, and he said, “Oh, there’s a mistake,” but only for one item added to my bill by error, claiming the rest were correct. However, I hadn’t ordered those items, yet he insisted that I did. I told him that wasn’t true, and he said he would speak to the manager. When the manager arrived, unfortunately, she was rude, even seeming angry that I had caught onto their scheme. I asked her to check the cameras to see if I had ordered what was on the bill. This infuriated her, and she started speaking aggressively, saying, “Don’t come here again; go anywhere else and order whatever you like.” She even accused me of being a scammer! I insisted on reviewing the cameras to see what I had ordered, but she stormed off and refused to talk to me again. Why? Because cameras don’t lie. Finally, I advise you not to come to this place as they engage in fraudulent billing. The manager is rude, and instead of protecting you as a customer, you’ll face the biggest scammer here. If you must come here, please double-check your bills; they engage in fraudulent billing practices.

Stopping here for a beer and a sit down. The staff were super friendly and didn’t leave you waiting. The outdoor heaters are excellent and keep you toasty. Great atmosphere and staff.

Smiling İOANA is one of the employees who make the place beautiful. Warm apple tart and ice cream are amazing.

We tried the burger, which was very delicious, along with the ginger tea; however, the toilet was not clean.

Fine spot. Nice view over Dam square and nice drinks and bites like vega bitterballs and cheese sticks. Comfortable couches in the summer and heating devices on terraces in fall/winter. Try out the hot chocolate (Chocomel brand), the pineapple coconut juice and especially the MOCKTAILS like virgin colada and cinderella . Delicious! A bit expensive though.

Fish n chips were both over fried and had way too much oil. Service took my food away when I went to the toilet. Fortunately, unexpectedly charming company compensated for a lot.

Pictured is the dinner my brother took and he praised the quality of the meat. I had a glass of red wine, grilled vegetables and a meat salad and everything was excellent!

As a fan of Yip, take a seat here. Normally, as a provincial kid, I would never visit such 'hotspots'. But, that Yip... there isn't an interview with him where I don't agree with him, so...Fan. Well, pleasantly surprised. It was Saturday, October 5, around 10 p.m. Great friendly welcome, ample freedom of choice of seating, both inside and outside. Top service. Drinks on the table within 3 minutes, always friendly, no fuss. Nice atmosphere, guests from all over the world, clean, clear and professional staff. Top job Yip!

The food was nice, nothing outstanding, and the cocktails were lovely. However, I was rather shocked when the bill came, as it was very expensive for what you get. For two cocktails and a small plate of Bitterballen (a side plate), it was over 80 euros. My friend ordered panini type dish which came out cold, and uncooked, so she couldn't eat it.

The waiter (I believe he is Thai) is incredibly rude. I was seated and then ordered a large sparkling water and black coffee. He bought the drinks out and I was on the phone so I asked for ice and he just stared at me and ignored me, I asked again, and then hung up my conversation. When I asked what the issue was he said ‘you were on the phone’ despite the fact that I had already hung up and he still ignored me. Firstly I didn’t realise that asking someone to pause for a moment whilst ordering was considered rude, it wasn’t done intentionally, and if I hung up then why would he care? Very strange behaviour, I got up and left without paying and without having the drink and he just said ‘fine, I don’t care’. Happened just now (4.15pm).

Amazing red wine and hot chocolate. The drinks here are very good but obviously pricey because it’s in a touristic area (Dam square). Lots of outdoor seating for 2-6 people that’s very cozy. Staff are very friendly!

We had lunch at Majestic in Amsterdam and had a fair experience overall. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a hostess who was surprisingly sarcastic, which set an odd tone for the start of our visit. Thankfully, our waitress was terrific—attentive, friendly, and made sure we were well taken care of throughout the meal. The food was good, though not extraordinary, and the prices were on the higher side, which is expected given its location in a tourist-heavy area. While the food and service balanced out the less-than-pleasant greeting, the experience was just okay overall. There are probably better options in the city, but if you’re in the area, Majestic is decent enough.

I had the unfortunate experience of visiting this restaurant, and I must say, it was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. From the moment I walked in, one staff member, in particular, was incredibly rude and unprofessional. We were told to sit anywhere we liked, and when we sat down, a staff member sprinted over shouting, “that’s for reservation only,” despite the staff not having any reserved signs. The customer service was abysmal, with the staff member showing no interest in helping us. Overall, the customer experience at this restaurant was terrible, and I would not recommend it to anyone. Save yourself the trouble and find somewhere else to eat where the staff actually cares about their customers.

Price/performance is zero. Service is crap.
