This was our second time at Booven for a Wednesday event organized by the Drenthe Wish Foundation. We had another delicious meal, and the service was fantastic. Thank you, Karel and the staff, for contributing to an unforgettable Wednesday.

Delicious food. Super tasty freshly baked rolls and baguettes. Friendly and courteous staff. Highly recommended.

We had a great lunch at Booven. The people who served us were great and very attentive. The food was great and the portions were very good! The ambiance was great and the place clean.

What a great place this is! We honestly couldn't choose from all the sandwiches because everything seemed good and delicious. We received a very friendly welcome, despite having a baby and stroller. They immediately offered us a spot and a high chair. The food was truly good, tasty, freshly made, and very reasonably priced. We will definitely be back. Thank you, and keep up the good work!

The lovely Booven store is located in the Villa Arena residential mall. Enjoy a delicious cappuccino followed by drinks.

Cool restaurant in a shopping mall, very friendly staff, exceptional ambiance! The food was good (I recommend the salad)… and they played the music of Ado, where the concert was taking place that evening at Ziggo! Great idea for all fans!

Delicious dinner before concert at Ziggo. The chicken satay is highly recommended: super tender, really great (and always nice: the satay sauce on the side. There was no dessert on the menu, but on request a really delicious apple pie with coffee! The employees are really very sweet, attentive and no effort is too much. In short: highly recommended (and great for a concert in the Ziggo)

The service is great! Very friendly staff and a friendly owner who welcomed us warmly and told us passionately about how he ended up here. We felt very welcome. The food was delicious. The menu was not very extensive, but if what was on it was just as tasty as our dish, then it doesn't matter at all. Highly recommended if you want a quiet and atmospheric meal in all the hustle and bustle around the ArenA.

picked this place today for lunch out of a number of possibilities in the Bijlmer Arena area...and was glad i did... the food was good and fairly priced...but what made it even better was the atmosphere that the service people painted the place with...seemed like a well oiled, happy team that seemed to take pleasure in providing the customers with a decent, simple meal... i would eat there again in a heart beat... and they even do rubber stamp responses to your reviews...

Super fresh food. Location is great in a residential boulevard. The employees are very open, transparent and really nice. Choice is good! With delicious desert. From Ziggo Dome it is perfect.

We were here for lunch on Saturday and were very satisfied with the service and food, so we went back after the performance in the Ziggo Dome. The chicken satay was very tasty and the owner immediately came to us when he recognized us from lunch. Highly recommended. We will definitely come back someday

Nice staff. The owner is also very nice and helpful. Even additional wishes regarding the food were no problem and were taken care of. Great place to eat just before a show in the Ziggo Dome. Excellent portions too, which easily kept us full for the rest of the evening. The desserts (apple and chocolate cake) were also very tasty. Nice concept that they do not reserve all tables but also keep a number of tables free for spontaneous guests.

Nice boss with a heart for the business, staff and visitors. We were offered a delicious lunch by the wish foundation. Karel offered us everything, had nice chats and served delicious food. Nice place, nicely decorated. Really great!

Apparently an honest review is not appreciated here! The staff was friendly, but could do nothing about the smoothie when I indicated that the taste was not good. That's why I ordered another drink. So no solution was provided by the staff. But that doesn't mean the staff is unfriendly. They are just doing their job and that is the policy they have to work with. But since my review has caused confusion, I am adjusting it. I did not look behind the bar or investigate how the preparation takes place. That is not my job as a customer. I have been known in the area for over 20 years, so I can make a reasonable price comparison in this area. 5 minutes away you can buy a mint tea for about the same price with double the quantity. So I think the drinks here are pricey. We paid almost €30 for 2 people, so for a sandwich and a drink. Furthermore, the sandwich and wrap were well filled and reasonable in price considering the quantity. We shared together, I thought the sandwich had a bit of a bland taste, but the wrap had an excellent taste. The smoothie is not recommended! I opted for the mango orange, which in my opinion was just a glass of juice from a carton and not a smoothie. The mango flavor was not present and the gravy did not taste fresh. I reported this to the staff, but there was nothing they could do about it. We had a total of 3 drinks including a mint tea. This was served in a small cup. So I think the drinks are quite pricey when you look at the quantity. So next time I will indeed go somewhere else.

Had dinner with my wife on Saturday at 5 p.m. Luckily you made a reservation, because it fills up quickly. Very nicely located in the Woonmall and close to the theater. Staff are very friendly and helpful. I find it very cramped and noisy when it is full. The menu is on the limited side, but you should know that in advance. The food was served quickly despite the crowds. The plate was neatly laid out and the satay was delicious, but unfortunately not very warm. Usually the chicken breast is too dry, but this one was just right. Very little satay sauce, which is a shame. The fries, on the other hand, were tough and lukewarm. It's as if they threw leftovers back into the fryer and put it on our plate. All in all a pretty good experience, just a shame about the fries and the lukewarm satay.

Had a nice meal here prior to the Disney concert in the Ziggodome. It is located on the 2nd floor of the residential mall. Wheelchair was a bit of a problem as I did not fit under a single table, but it was neatly arranged for 4 people. We were politely told that we had 50 minutes as they were expecting a large group. Neat👍🏻 Had a delicious gluten-free sandwich with omelette that tasted very good and a coke and my girlfriend had a salmon sandwich that was very tasty with cappucino. Spent €11 per person and had a delicious meal! Top location.

Very nice restaurant, simple comfortable food yet very tasty. We enjoyed the panini ham and the meatballs sandwich. After that we had a very yummy chocolate cake. Overall everything was amazing.

Had a bite to eat here before the Goldband concert. We had not made a reservation, it was not busy, but we received a friendly welcome. The prices here are also reasonable compared to surrounding catering establishments. Opted for the carpaccio meal salad. It was certainly tasty, but the ratio of lettuce to carpaccio could have been the other way around in my opinion :) (really a LOT of lettuce and not that much carpaccio). The coffee was tasty!

We come here almost every week on Sunday. Tasty sandwiches and very good service. Always fun and we plan to keep coming! Really worth it.

Had a delicious poulo pesto sandwich and delicious fresh orange juice. Owner Karel's service is also very friendly and attentive. Definitely recommended!

Had dinner with my daughter on the Thursday evening of the Janet Jackson concert. Booked in advance, at first it seemed very quiet. But it was soon packed! Despite the crowds, we were able to take it easy, which was very nice! Smaller menu because of the events and what the kitchen can produce, very logical. My daughter did miss a hamburger. :) But, like me, I went for the chicken satay and it was delicious!! Tender with a crispy edge. Satay sauce was good and good fries! Afterwards we could relax with coffee and chocolate milk! Nice staff; in short, highly recommended! For when you are shopping and especially for an event. 😉

Please repost this review. Because it was probably blocked. Yesterday I had a bite to eat with 2 people for UB40. Fries + chicken satay and 1x Spare ribs + Fries. The fries were reheated and limp. The fries are probably pre-fried elsewhere, and are heated on site in large baskets. The spare rib was a large, thick hunk of tasteless meat (also reheated and not freshly made. Not tasty. The chicken was good, but the satay sauce was a bit thin. We understand, of course, that if you want to be able to handle turnover speed, that this can be a great concept, but not with these types of menus. The staff is very friendly and hospitable. We indicated that we did not like the food afterwards. As compensation we received a good coffee and a drink. Well resolved. But unfortunately it won't be repeated for us next time. The food has just been adjusted to 1 star. The fact that there is talk of "let's see who we are dealing with here" is of course separate from the fact that the food was not tasty. But yes, this entrepreneur does not want to hear that. Why don't you eat it yourself? If all goes well, I will also post good reviews. But I don't think they understand that in the West. Vandaag een rondleiding gehad bij de Johan Cruijff Arena, aansluitend hier wezen lunchen. Bij binnenkomst een plekje gevonden. De medewerker wenkte ons, dat hij eraan kwam, zodat hij voor ons de tafel kon afnemen. SUPER!! Heerlijk geluncht, en zeer vriendelijke personeel. Zeker een aanrader voor als je in de buurt bent.

Onverwachts vanwege een concert in de Arena hier wat gegeten. Zeer leuke en toegankelijke eetgelegenheid met een kleine maar lekkere kaart. Wij hadden kipsaté, wat van kippendij gemaakt was. Heerlijk zacht en mals met veel saus en heerlijke frietjes. De cola was lekker koud. En de service was uiterst vriendelijk en lekker vlot. De prijs kwaliteit verhouding vonden wij uitstekend. €20,00 voor de kipsaté met friet en salade.

Had dinner here with 4 people on a Saturday evening. The menu is small and simple, the food is very tasty and the right portions. Prices are reasonable and the host is very jovial. The small space is busy and noisy. Unfortunately there were problems with the alcohol license, so nothing alcoholic was served.

Delicious chicken satay for an acceptable price. Many employees in the shop on this busy Saturday (Toppers in the Arena) and therefore a quick "flow" of customers. Recommended.

We ate here yesterday before the Rod Stewart concert. Nice location near the Ziggo Dome. We were warmly welcomed and quickly had a table and our order. Delicious chicken satay with fries. A large portion. Recommended !

Very nice place to eat or drink something. Very friendly staff. And it's super affordable. We spent 10 euros per person for a lunch sandwich and a soft drink. And the sandwiches were delicious!

We were looking for a place to eat before a concert, reservations were not possible but we were very welcome, they said by telephone. Well that's right! A place where you are asked halfway through if you want something to drink, where the food arrives on time and your plate is full. We had the spare ribs and chicken satay, the event menu is not that big but the quality is excellent and you don't pay absurdly much (20 euros per dish). The highlight was that my friend dropped his knife and someone brought a new knife within 3 seconds, without us asking for it. Where can you still find that service?

We had dinner at Booven before the Toppers concert and we enjoyed it so much! Despite the crowds, we were welcomed by the entire team with a friendly chat and a big smile. The food was delicious and we didn't have to wait long. The restaurant is cozy and decorated extra festively. In short, eating at Booven made the evening's party complete for us! Thank you for that!

I've been again and I actually want to give 10 stars

We ate here a while back before a concert with a number of ladies. Spare ribs and chicken satay. The sparerib was 1 thick lump of dry, reheated meat. Had little taste. Fries were not nice and crispy but limp and tasteless, they looked like oven fries, the small amount of salad was still the best to eat, I must admit. The chicken satay was also reasonable, but it could have used a little more satay sauce. The service was fine and friendly, but in terms of food we would definitely not eat here again at the next concert.

Had dinner tonight before a concert in the Ziggo dome. I googled a bit beforehand and this seemed to be the only place that did not serve overpriced event snacks. It was busy, but we got a table without a reservation. The menu is limited during events, but there is still something for everyone (including vegetarian). Wonderfully good portions for a nice price and incredibly friendly, non-nonsense staff with whom you can still chat in Amsterdam. Where can you find that today (especially in Amsterdam...) Definitely recommended!!

Before the concert in the Ziggo Dome started yesterday, we wanted to have a quick bite to eat. Searched on Google and ended up here. We were short on time, so we were able to eat quickly, but that did not detract from the quality of the food and service. The satay was delicious, the fries nice and golden and the service was friendly and customer-oriented. These people know how to serve a customer. Keep it up!

It was busy due to a concert, but fortunately there was still room for 2. Friendly and fast service. We had chicken satay and spare ribs and it tasted delicious! A well-filled plate that we had to make an effort to finish!

Aangenaam verrast door dit knusse hippe zwevende restaurant in de woonboulevard dichtbij de Ziggodome waar wij waren voor het concert van John Mayer. Wij hebben lekker gegeten en de bediening was super vriendelijk! Echt een aanrader en prima prijs/ kwaliteit verhouding. Bij een volgend concert komen we zeker weer langs, groetjes uit het zuiden!

Hazes ate here last Saturday before Holland Sings. We were warmly welcomed, service was good and fast. Definitely recommended if you go to Ziggo dome, they also have adjusted opening hours. They had delicious Hazes on display so everyone got into the mood.

Last night before we went to the Ziggodome we had a bite to eat at Booven. We received a super friendly welcome from Far and also had a delicious meal. Really 10000% great. Food was really a surprisingly good price compared to other restaurants, much cheaper but also really normal portions for such a price!!!! The food was really delicious everywhere and the home-baked and fresh cookies were really great. The service was also really great, very nice staff and manager. Great thing! When it's your turn, walk past Booven. Here they sell the tastiest sandwiches, prepared with care and attention. There is only room for nice people, so it is definitely worth a visit. After our visit we received the homemade sauce with which we will try to match the sandwiches at home. Tip: take a carpaccio sandwich with pesto sauce. The truffle also seems to be a winner, I will try this next time. Enjoy your meal!

Wow, where should I even start? I have rarely experienced such friendly service and good food :) The restaurant is located in an Amsterdam furniture store, not exactly large but very stylish and pleasantly furnished. Just the welcome from the owner, who has such a positive charisma, and his staff are so friendly and accommodating that you don't feel like a guest but like a friend. There is time for everyone here. We had breakfast here every day of our stay in Amsterdam, for us there is no other address when it comes to breakfast than Booven :) The menu is varied so there is something for everyone. I particularly liked the unusual combinations of ingredients. In our opinion, there is nothing better for breakfast in terms of taste and price. Prices are absolutely fair. Hot and cold drinks are also very good, you can taste that they are prepared here with heart and mind. Every time we stay in Amsterdam we will visit Booven for breakfast. Definitely recommended! P.S.: A look at the reviews tells you that this is a really great, delicious restaurant. You shouldn't be put off by the reviews below 4 stars and come and see for yourself - everything will be perfect! We miss your food already! See you next time :)

What an amazing place with amazing staff. Food was excellent and staff were so friendly.. I had to go on my own as my wife had hurt her back and was laid up in the hotel. So I had a meal and ordered a takeaway for my wife. We were both over the moon with the quality of the food and I was very impressed with the politeness of the staff and quality, cleanliness and layout of the restaurant. It’s on the 4th floor of the shopping-mail opposite the Johan Cruff Ajax Sadium. I will be back!
