Booven in Amstel III/Bullewijk

Before we went to Kensington in the Ziggo Dome, we grabbed a sandwich at Booven yesterday. The food was delicious and fresh, and the staff was very friendly and motivated. In short, nothing to complain about. We'll definitely be back.

Loved the vegan food. The hot was nice hot. Wifi friendly We all enjoyed the vibe of the restaurant.

If you're looking for the perfect slice of apple pie, Lunchroom Booven is the place to be! The apple pie is delicious: crispy crust, juicy apples, and a hint of cinnamon. They also serve excellent coffee, delicious and perfectly brewed. The combination of warm hospitality and top-notch quality makes this an absolute must-try. Until next time!

We had dinner last Monday before the concert at the Afas Theater. Beautiful location and fresh products. A friendly welcome without a reservation, and despite it being busy, the food arrived quickly. The 4.8 review is definitely worth it. The pastries are also very delicious.

After making a reservation, there was no seating and I had to queue at the back. It was a football match. Very sloppy! Then the staff got defensive, blaming the customer. Don't eat here!!! In response to my comment: I got funny looks, sighs, and angry mumbling from your staff. In my opinion, your response isn't an accurate reflection of reality. I'd like to warn people about that.

If you just want a quick satay or spareribs before a concert, this is the place to go. The service is very friendly, but the evening menu is very limited. The food is otherwise excellent.

Before going to a concert at the Ziggo Dome, we had a quick bite to eat here. We hadn't made a reservation and it was quite busy, but luckily there was still a spot. There's not much choice, basically just satay, spare ribs, or a salad. However, the food comes very quickly. It's not a culinary highlight. The fries are tasty, the spare ribs are fine, but the salad wasn't. The staff is very friendly and comes by often enough. What was funny was that they play the music of the band playing at the Ziggo Dome in the evening. There's no restroom, but there's a free one a bit further in the shopping center. So it's not really a restaurant, but it's fine for a quick bite before a concert. Legend 1) Terrible! I wouldn't recommend it, I'll never come back! 2) Too bad, below my expectations, I won't be back. 3) Okay, nothing wrong with it, but nothing special, nice for a one-time visit. 4) Excellent, worth coming back. 5) Excellent! I recommend it, I'll definitely be back!

I visited this café for the first time and immediately fell in love with the atmosphere. The aroma of freshly baked bread filled the room. The coffee was perfectly made, and the barista was friendly and knowledgeable. I tried a slice of lemon tart—wonderfully fresh and light. The decor was homey and warm, with lots of wood and plants. The service was fast and efficient. The music was soothing and unobtrusive. Everything was neat and tidy. A place I'd love to return to.

I'm reposting this review, as it was probably blocked. Yesterday, we had a quick bite for two people before UB40. Fries and chicken satay and one spare rib and fries. The fries were reheated and soggy. The fries are probably pre-fried elsewhere and are heated on the spot in large baskets. The spare rib was a big, thick lump of tasteless meat (also reheated and not freshly made, by the way). Not tasty. The chicken was good, but the satay sauce was a bit thin. We understand that if you want to keep up with turnover, this can be a great concept, but not with this kind of menu. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. We indicated that we didn't like the food afterward. We received good coffee and a drink as compensation. A good solution, though. But unfortunately, we won't be returning next time. The food has been downgraded to 1 star. The fact that they say "let's see who we're dealing with here" is, of course, irrelevant to the fact that the food wasn't good. But hey, that's not what this business owner wants to hear. Why don't you eat it yourself? If it's good, I'll leave good reviews too. But I guess they understand that in the West. I don't. We were looking for a place to eat before the concert at the Ziggo Dome. After a tour of Villa ArenA, we noticed the charming building perched precariously on a few stilts, offering a fantastic view. Unfortunately, as expected, everything was fully booked, but we were very hospitably informed that we were very welcome and could sit outside at picnic tables. Our order was taken within seconds. The service was very efficient and knew how to do things properly. Hospitality radiates throughout. The food was more than enough, very delicious! We decided to order drinks with our meal. However, they took a while to arrive. We spoke to the staff again, and they brought them immediately, along with an apology and the assurance that the drink was Booven's expense. It was really great that the drink was actually removed from the bill when we paid! I've never experienced anything like that before. That's fantastic! We know where we'll be eating from now on before we go to a concert! See you next time!

A very pleasant ambiance, blending in well with the surrounding department store. The food was extremely delicious, freshly prepared, and beautifully presented. The prices were reasonable for the value, with a slight deduction for service because our table wasn't completely clean, but all in all, an absolute recommendation!

What a great place this is! We honestly couldn't choose from all the sandwiches because everything seemed good and delicious. We received a very friendly welcome, despite having a baby and stroller. They immediately offered us a spot and a high chair. The food was truly good, tasty, freshly made, and very reasonably priced. We will definitely be back. Thank you, and keep up the good work!

The service is great! Very friendly staff and a friendly owner who welcomed us warmly and told us passionately about how he ended up here. We felt very welcome. The food was delicious. The menu was not very extensive, but if what was on it was just as tasty as our dish, then it doesn't matter at all. picked this place today for lunch out of a number of possibilities in the Bijlmer Arena area...and was glad i did... the food was good and fairly priced...but what made it even better was the atmosphere that the service people painted the place with...seemed like a well oiled, happy team that seemed to take pleasure in providing the customers with a decent, simple meal... i would eat there again in a heart beat... and they even do rubber stamp responses to your reviews...

Super fresh food. Location is great in a residential boulevard. The employees are very open, transparent and really nice. Choice is good! With delicious desert. From Ziggo Dome it is perfect.

We were here for lunch on Saturday and were very satisfied with the service and food, so we went back after the performance in the Ziggo Dome. The chicken satay was very tasty and the owner immediately came to us when he recognized us from lunch. Highly recommended. We will definitely come back someday

Excellent portions too, which easily kept us full for the rest of the evening. The desserts (apple and chocolate cake) were also very tasty. Nice concept that they do not reserve all tables but also keep a number of tables free for spontaneous guests.

Apparently an honest review is not appreciated here! The staff was friendly, but could do nothing about the smoothie when I indicated that the taste was not good. That's why I ordered another drink. So no solution was provided by the staff. But that doesn't mean the staff is unfriendly. They are just doing their job and that is the policy they have to work with. But since my review has caused confusion, I am adjusting it. I did not look behind the bar or investigate how the preparation takes place. That is not my job as a customer. I have been known in the area for over 20 years, so I can make a reasonable price comparison in this area. 5 minutes away you can buy a mint tea for about the same price with double the quantity. So I think the drinks here are pricey. We paid almost €30 for 2 people, so for a sandwich and a drink. Furthermore, the sandwich and wrap were well filled and reasonable in price considering the quantity. We shared together, I thought the sandwich had a bit of a bland taste, but the wrap had an excellent taste. The smoothie is not recommended! I opted for the mango orange, which in my opinion was just a glass of juice from a carton and not a smoothie. The mango flavor was not present and the gravy did not taste fresh. I reported this to the staff, but there was nothing they could do about it. We had a total of 3 drinks including a mint tea. This was served in a small cup. So I think the drinks are quite pricey when you look at the quantity. So next time I will indeed go somewhere else.

Had dinner with my wife on Saturday at 5 p.m. Luckily you made a reservation, because it fills up quickly. Very nicely located in the Woonmall and close to the theater. Staff are very friendly and helpful. I find it very cramped and noisy when it is full. The menu is on the limited side, but you should know that in advance. The food was served quickly despite the crowds. The plate was neatly laid out and the satay was delicious, but unfortunately not very warm. Usually the chicken breast is too dry, but this one was just right. Very little satay sauce, which is a shame. The fries, on the other hand, were tough and lukewarm. It's as if they threw leftovers back into the fryer and put it on our plate. All in all a pretty good experience, just a shame about the fries and the lukewarm satay.

Had a nice meal here prior to the Disney concert in the Ziggodome. It is located on the 2nd floor of the residential mall. Wheelchair was a bit of a problem as I did not fit under a single table, but it was neatly arranged for 4 people. We were politely told that we had 50 minutes as they were expecting a large group. Neat👍🏻 Had a delicious gluten-free sandwich with omelette that tasted very good and a coke and my girlfriend had a salmon sandwich that was very tasty with cappucino. Spent €11 per person and had a delicious meal! Top location.

Very nice restaurant, simple comfortable food yet very tasty. We enjoyed the panini ham and the meatballs sandwich. After that we had a very yummy chocolate cake. Overall everything was amazing.

Had a bite to eat here before the Goldband concert. We had not made a reservation, it was not busy, but we received a friendly welcome. The prices here are also reasonable compared to surrounding catering establishments. Opted for the carpaccio meal salad. It was certainly tasty, but the ratio of lettuce to carpaccio could have been the other way around in my opinion :) (really a LOT of lettuce and not that much carpaccio). The coffee was tasty!

We come here almost every week on Sunday. Tasty sandwiches and very good service. Always fun and we plan to keep coming! Really worth it.

Had dinner with my daughter on the Thursday evening of the Janet Jackson concert. Booked in advance, at first it seemed very quiet. But it was soon packed! Despite the crowds, we were able to take it easy, which was very nice! Smaller menu because of the events and what the kitchen can produce, very logical. My daughter did miss a hamburger. :) But, like me, I went for the chicken satay and it was delicious!! Tender with a crispy edge. Satay sauce was good and good fries! Afterwards we could relax with coffee and chocolate milk! Nice staff; in short, highly recommended! For when you are shopping and especially for an event. 😉

Vandaag een rondleiding gehad bij de Johan Cruijff Arena, aansluitend hier wezen lunchen. Bij binnenkomst een plekje gevonden. De medewerker wenkte ons, dat hij eraan kwam, zodat hij voor ons de tafel kon afnemen. SUPER!! Heerlijk geluncht, en zeer vriendelijke personeel. Zeker een aanrader voor als je in de buurt bent.

Onverwachts vanwege een concert in de Arena hier wat gegeten. Zeer leuke en toegankelijke eetgelegenheid met een kleine maar lekkere kaart. Wij hadden kipsaté, wat van kippendij gemaakt was. Heerlijk zacht en mals met veel saus en heerlijke frietjes. De cola was lekker koud. En de service was uiterst vriendelijk en lekker vlot. De prijs kwaliteit verhouding vonden wij uitstekend. €20,00 voor de kipsaté met friet en salade.

Had dinner here with 4 people on a Saturday evening. The menu is small and simple, the food is very tasty and the right portions. Prices are reasonable and the host is very jovial. The small space is busy and noisy. Unfortunately there were problems with the alcohol license, so nothing alcoholic was served.

Delicious chicken satay for an acceptable price. Many employees in the shop on this busy Saturday (Toppers in the Arena) and therefore a quick "flow" of customers. Recommended.

Very nice place to eat or drink something. Very friendly staff. And it's super affordable. We spent 10 euros per person for a lunch sandwich and a soft drink. And the sandwiches were delicious!

We were looking for a place to eat before a concert, reservations were not possible but we were very welcome, they said by telephone. Well that's right! A place where you are asked halfway through if you want something to drink, where the food arrives on time and your plate is full. We had the spare ribs and chicken satay, the event menu is not that big but the quality is excellent and you don't pay absurdly much (20 euros per dish). The highlight was that my friend dropped his knife and someone brought a new knife within 3 seconds, without us asking for it. Where can you still find that service?

We had dinner at Booven before the Toppers concert and we enjoyed it so much! Despite the crowds, we were welcomed by the entire team with a friendly chat and a big smile. The food was delicious and we didn't have to wait long. The restaurant is cozy and decorated extra festively. In short, eating at Booven made the evening's party complete for us! Thank you for that!

I've been again and I actually want to give 10 stars

We ate here a while back before a concert with a number of ladies. Spare ribs and chicken satay. The sparerib was 1 thick lump of dry, reheated meat. Had little taste. Fries were not nice and crispy but limp and tasteless, they looked like oven fries, the small amount of salad was still the best to eat, I must admit. The chicken satay was also reasonable, but it could have used a little more satay sauce. The service was fine and friendly, but in terms of food we would definitely not eat here again at the next concert.
