The most responsive and soul-feeding art in the museum. I loved the 5-men show, who synthesized the 10-course menu in front of your eyes! The dishes were all nicely presented and accompanied by handpicked wines. By the end of the night, you are embodied in the experience, and have high respect of what you taste by following all of the moving parts in the making. Many dishes to recall, with our favorite being the transformation of our childhood breakfast, the French toast! Really great job, guys! Keep the momentum going and pushing the gastronomic boundaries! We’ll come back again and again, and spread the word to the world (In Europa and beyond).

We visited the restaurant Europa on March 29th. From the very first moment, the staff was attentive and welcoming. We tasted around 10 dishes, which were masterfully executed, original, and had a distinct style with bold combinations. Thank you for showing us the kitchen and giving us the opportunity to meet the chef. A big thank you for a wonderful evening. Wishing you success in delighting your guests.

Wonderful experience. We went for the extensive menu, and you get a parade of beautiful flavors and special combinations. Nice atmosphere and personal service. Absolutely recommended if you like adventurous food.

The experience does not match the price tag. The restaurant was freezing cold, meaning we spent the evening with jackets on drinking warm tea. The service was ok but lacking - when ordering wine, we were not asked to try it; very minimal explanation of the dishes or their origin. The food was nice but nothing special, though kudos for catering for my friend’s allergies. Also, they forgot to remove the pre-payment from Zenchef. It happens, sure, and was quickly reimbursed, but shouldn’t happen in a restaurant that poises as high end.

Fantastic menu and nice, friendly service. They all arrived at just the right time and were full after the Menu Europe. Definitely recommended!

A truly wonderful experience. Upon entering I noticed the beautiful art on the walls. The service was very friendly and the food… - The food was really fantastic, my favorite dish contained mushrooms and a sauce of coffee and chocolate. Beautiful cuisine. Every dish was extraordinary from amouse to dessert. Flavours ranged from fresh veg-forward dishes to complex and unexpected food pairings. Service was attentive and uncomplicated. Very inspirational if you’re a foodie. Keep ip the great work!

Exceptionally delicious food. Because you sit at the bar, the atmosphere is casual and you have easy and fun contact with the chefs and host. Despite being near the kitchen, the host and chefs give you sufficient privacy, but they sense exactly what you need and keep an eye on you. The food and also the wines were excellent. Ask Matthieu (hope I spelled it right) what is tasty at that moment and he can give you very good advice. The menu was varied and sauces and oils were very tasty without being heavy or greasy. What a great lunch we had! Great food, exciting dishes, some of which always taste fantastic. An enthusiastic team with a love for food and wine. And they can wake me up for those cocktails. The third time and we will definitely come again.

Had a lovely dinner on Friday evening for my girlfriend's birthday. Eating at the bar is our favorite. This is also the only option, so that started well. The service is cheerful, professional and the chefs also serve dishes. That makes it extra fun. We went for the 7 course menu, which is highly recommended. The menu is well balanced. Together with the host, we selected delicious matching wines for the menu. We thought the design of the bar with the matching lighting above it was very well thought out. The plates, cutlery and glasses are nicely matched to the bar. The lamb steak tartare with dark chocolate sauce, pepper and grated lamb heart on top was really the best dish for us by far.

Apart from the excellent food and ambience, I have never seen a place where the employees are as happy as we are here. Hospitality, creativity, quality. I'm completely thrilled.

Super tasty menu, 7 or 5 courses. Well thought out, special (delicious) flavors, leaving with a full feeling! Vega menu was slightly smaller than the regular menu. Complaint handling was great, super good and sweet service!

I had a great experience here! Delicious course menu (which they accommodated into being fully vegan), every dish tasted unique and interesting, good natural wine, very welcoming and friendly staff! Can’t recommend it enough

Unfortunately, we found it really disappointing. Although the atmosphere is good (cool industrial space and playful manner of the tables at the bar), we did not find the service (nonchalant and disinterested) and the food (pretentious, unimaginative and unimaginative) fantastic, especially in relation to the price. Hopefully an 'off-day' for them, but unfortunately not worth repeating for us.

Great food, great service and lovely interior design. The menu changes frequently, which makes it easy to go to this restaurant frequently. The place is part of the three establishments owned by the same owners (including Euro Pizza and Cafe Benelux). All three places are buzzy and fun, with a lovely crowd of young people gathering there on weekends contributing to a fun atmosphere. All the dishes were delicate and very tasty. Would recommend adding more non-alcoholic mocktails to the menu.

Prachtige lokatie, mooi contrast plafond/ warenhuis en moderne lange tafels. Uitstekende keuken, prachtige wijnen, vriendelijke bediening! Wat een verrassende en heerlijke gerechten! Aanrader en we komen terug!

Wat een geweldig restaurant! Echt een hele leuke ervaring, je kunt er leuk zitten aan de lange zigzag tafel. Het is op zo'n manier ingedeeld zodat je toch lekker knus met je gezelschap kunt zitten en elkaar allemaal goed kunt zien en horen. Het eten was fantastisch! Zowel de vis als de vegetarische gerechten. Ook het personeel was super, allen erg vriendelijk. We komen hier zeker nog eens terug, een echte aanrader!

Very pleasant staff, presenting the delicious meals in a very open setting. Original dishes, both in the vegetarian menu and the standard one. Comfortable atmosphere that creates a welcoming energy. Lovely wines and cocktails as well

This place sums up summer 2023. The journey was unbelievable. Theres a very very beautiful energy in this place. The harmony the staff has with one another is spectacular. Its a place that makes you just feel good. If i can give food and service more than 5 stars i would. An absolute privilege to dine here.

We found this restaurant in our neighborhood somewhat accidentally when we needed a last minute dinner reservation and let me just say, I would be amazed if we were able to get a reservation at all a few months from now. The food was so good, especially considering the price, which, yes wasn't cheap, but certainly wasn't the most expensive meal we've had in Amsterdam. The 7 course menu ended up more like 10 courses, all of which were well balanced, and had a nice contiguous flavor. Wine was really nice and service was the best in the city. Nothing bad to say, I just hope we get a chance to eat here again soon.

This experience has been a true trip to cloud nine! My pallet is happy so is that of my girlfriend. This was a very unique surprise for her aswell. It was her birthday today and they really added value to this special day. I recommend everybody to take a look and taste the menu for yourself.

Voor het eerst ooit dat ik een x-gangen menu op kan, zonder m'n man een en ander toe te schuiven. Alleen vis en groenten was voor ons wel even een verrassing, maar qua smaken hebben we niets gemist. Creatief uitziende gerechten, goed op smaak, maar voor een verwende uiteter geen uitspattingen. 12 gerechtjes, waarvan ik nog niet de helft kan opnoemen, want ze leken toch ook wel erg op elkaar. Wellicht dus toch niet zo creatief. Aardige gasten in de bediening, maar echt contact heb ik niet ervaren. Dat bleek ook vooral toen er 12 kruisjes op het raam gekrijtstift waren bij ons tafelnummer en we blijkbaar onzichtbaar werden. Voorafgaand aan ons bezoek werden we via een belletje gewaarschuwd dat het nogal eens fris kan zijn in de oude munitiefabriek. Dat vind ik nog steeds heel attent. Het moet echter wel je ding zijn, om tijdens een diner op de tocht te zitten. Of om op de genderneutrale toiletten je af te willen vragen waar dat plasje water (?) op de vloer vandaan komt (kijk vooral niet omhoog). We waren nieuwsgierig na een aanbeveling door vrienden, maar we zullen deze aanbeveling niet doorgeven aan anderen. Ik heb begrepen dat het restaurant met deze afstotelijke naam tijdelijk op deze locatie is gevestigd. Toch zou ik investeren in bewegwijzering en verlichting voor gasten die op de fiets komen.

Nieuwsgierig geworden door diverse redelijk lovende recencies zijn wij gisteren dan eindelijk neergestreken in dit restaurant. Met enige moeite konden wij de juiste ingang vinden in het gebouw "het Hem". Enige bewegwijzering o.i.d. is hier dus geen geen overbodige luxe, zeker in deze donkere dagen. Eenmaal binnen, worden wij vriendelijk ontvangen en als niet-wijnkenners geholpen bij het vinden van een wijn naar onze smaak. Redelijk snel hierna worden wij aan de hand van de gedreven koks/bediening meegenomen door het verrassingsmenu van groente, vis- en schelp-/schaaldieren. De meeste gangen bestonden uit bijzondere smaakcombinaties die ons inderdaad verraste, maar er zat ook gerecht tussen dat naar mijn smaak wat vlak was. Aangezien mijn tafelgenoot de BOB was, schakelde hij na één glas wijn over naar een non-alcoholische drank. Hier hadden zij ook een heerlijk alternatief:eigengemaakte limonadesiroop! Al met al hebben wij hier bijna 3 uur getafeld in de bijzondere locatie van een munitiefabriekhal, die door de opstelling toch iets intiems had! Ik ben blij met deze aanwinst voor Zaandam en hoop dat zij zich hier permanent zullen vestigen!

Wow! Sprakeloos. In Zaandam nota bene. Restaurant Europa. Hembrugterrein. Vijf jongere mannen die hun ervaringen hebben opgedaan in Amsterdam. Modern koken en natuurlijke wijnen. Acht gangetjes, groenten en vis. Formidabel goed tegen een zéér aanvaardbare prijs. Op zondagmiddag voor slechts €50,- pp. Donderdag tm zaterdag voor €60,- Persoonlijke ontvangst en bediening. Je eet aan een hoge tafel rondom de keuken. Je drinkt van een kleine wijnkaart met originele Franse wijnen. Werkelijk alle gangen waren in balans, origineel en verfijnd. We komen terug en raden dit zeer aan. Aanwinst voor Zaandam maar ook voor de regio en Nederland!

What an amazing hidden gem. Tucked away in an old warehouse in no man's land, but just a short ferry trip from Amsterdam CS, sits this amazing small restaurants. The food is perfectly done and with very surprising flavours and ingredients. The wine list matches the food very well, with a great selection of mostly natural wines. The best part is for sure the team: the guys are really passionate about what they do and you can feel and experience this during your evening here. 100% recommend!

Heerlijk restaurant op het nog niet breed ontdekte HEM-terrein in Zaandam. 5 vrienden die je hun restaurant als je huiskamer laten voelen en met veel plezier de heerlijkste, originele, gerechten voor je bereiden. Deze allen begeleid met passende en verrassende (natuur)wijnen. Tel hierbij op de toffe locatie, waar altijd iets te zien of te beleven is, en je hebt gegarandeerd een topavond!

Super leuke ervaring! Bijzondere plek, waar over de hele setting goed is nagedacht. Betrokken enthousiaste koks, die naast het bereiden ook alles zelf uitserveren en passend wijnadvies geven. Nemen voor iedereen de tijd. Prijs-kwaliteitverhouding is in orde 8 gangen (= uiteindelijk 12 gerechtjes) voor een zeer nette €60,-, met bijzondere en smakelijke (natuur)wijnen welke iets prijziger zijn, maar de wijnkaart heeft voor ieder wat wils. Kom zeer binnenkort weer terug als er een nieuwe kaart is. Aanwinst voor Zaandam/Amsterdam.

Europa is een pop-up restaurant in een oud militair gebouw. Ze blijven nog zo'n twee jaar met (net) een optie tot verlenging. Het is als gevolg erg industrieel, open en midden tussen andere zaken die hier gebeuren. De tafels en barkrukken zijn zodanig gezet dat iedereen naar de 'keuken' kijkt. Niet erg verbroederend, maar geeft ook stof tot een gesprek. We waren hier op een zondagmiddag waar het 8-gangen diner (matinee) voor ons vanaf 1500 begon. De bediening is enthousiast, vriendelijk en staat voor alle vragen open. Het eten bestaat uit vele kleine hapjes van groente, vis en/of schaaldieren. Niet elke gang was even lekker, maar er zaten ook pareltjes tussen. Leuke wijnkaart. Aanbevolen als je een keer iets anders wilt.

De verhouding tussen kosten en kwaliteit die werd geboden kon beter. Sommige gerechten hadden amper smaak (roodlof met wortel, koolrabi en sellerij) of leken ontzettend op elkaar (veel kool, miso en cantharellen). Diepgaande smaken ontbraken in bijna alle gerechten en mede daardoor was het geheel niet uitdagend. De bediening was wisselend in enthousiasme en soms werden gerechten aangeboden die niet binnen onze dieet beperkingen vielen of werd hier zonder overleg een ander gerecht voor aangeboden. Er is geen één keer gevraagd of het heeft gesmaakt en er is niets verteld over de oorsprong van de producten. De ervaring voelde daarom niet als een gastronomisch hoogstandje, meer als een leerbedrijf van een horecaschool (zonder de vriendelijk geprijsde rekening). De locatie en atmosfeer zijn wel heel fijn en de muziekkeuze en geluidsniveau zijn top. Ik hoop dat in de toekomst het geheel beter op elkaar wordt afgestemd.

Super leuk, wat een verfrissend concept voor Zaandam. EINDELIJK een restaurant met een stoer en stedelijk karakter. Het hem is sowieso een aanrader. Als ex-Amsterdammers zijn we heel blij met de komst van deze locatie, het is een fijne plek om onder leuke mensen te zijn en restaurant Europa maakt het helemaal af. Alleen vis en groentegerechten, maar oh zo lekker! We komen zeker terug ❤️

Ontzettend leuk restaurant; bijzondere setting qua gebouw (oude munitiefabriek) en qua opstelling tafels (je zit naast elkaar aan een lange bar rondom de keuken, houd daar rekening mee als je met een groep wil gaan). De jongens werken super hard en secuur, het is mooi om te zien hoe zij zo gepassioneerd hun gerechten bereiden. Zij werken met een vast menu bestaande uit overheerlijke vis en groentegerechten. Zelfs zijn wij echte vleesliefhebbers, maar we hebben dit absoluut niet gemist in het menu. De smaken waren verrassend, de sauzen werkelijk fingerlicking good! Ik ben zo blij met dit restaurant, echt een aanwinst voor Zaandam/Amsterdam en omgeving. We komen zeker weer terug, we hebben genoten!

Lekker eten, prachtige mensen, goede sfeer & inrichting

Restaurant Europa in Zaandam near Amsterdam is perhaps one of the most exciting restaurants that recently opened in the Netherlands. They serve a set menu of eight courses at a bar around the kitchen. The kitchen is housed in the middle of an old bullet factory and promises to be the creative hot spot of Noord-Holland.

Great food, great staff, great atmosphere

Wine list is expensive and they could have used another name for the restaurant. The set menu was unequal but some of the plates were really good - the oyster; the beef was amazing. The restaurant should also be careful in the way they are communicating with the clients. We don’t care that is produced locally once it’s been said once.
