Restaurante muy agradable para tomar un almuerzo rápido o para tener una cena encantadora. La comida es muy buena y el personal es amable y servicial. Situado cerca de la estación central y el puerto.

Lovely building, lovely ambience once your in and seated, the staff were polite and helpful. We started with caesar salad, and soups, which were fine. Here we go again, hamburger,! But then rump steak, and fries, sides. It was very nice, and pretty much got big thumbs up from us all. Quite a few drinks, liked my leffe for sure. Yes over all a enjoyable evening. 8/10

Mooie wandeling achter het centraal station langs de kade naar dit Grand cafe 1884. Eten was super en bediening vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Vrouwelijke Chefkok en dito souschef in de keuken, zeer de moeite van het bezoeken waard 👌🏻

Rude wait staff; entree took 45 minutes to come out … 15 minutes after entrees served to guests that arrived 30 minutes after us. Food was Meh! Appetizers likely from frozen food packages. Don’t waste your time or money. Much better local places in town, beyond Center Station that are worth the few extra steps!

Really disappointed to write this as had heard great things. Spoke to 3 staff sitting outside smoking. We wanted to sit outside and one table had no chairs. Spoke to the staff outside who said to go in and they were sure that could be sorted. Female staff member inside was rude and basically said no, couldn’t help us and couldn’t give us two of the seats stacked up outside: so unfriendly. If you can’t help us fine, but don’t be rude. On way out spoke to staff outside who seemed unsurprised . Why did they send us in? They obviously knew we were not going to be helped. Is this normal behaviour with tourists?

I wanted to love it, but it was average. The food at Hotel Movenpick was better.

The kitchen is open all day and the menu changes at lunchtime and in the evening. We had the burger with fries which was very successful and wonderful flavour. Price ok. I can only recommend it. 10/10 would recommend. A great location 5-8 minutes away from the station (walking). Reasonable pricing for great food. GREAT staff also. I would recommend just taking public transport to get there (even though there is a parking garage nearby). Save money on parking XD

Estuvimos comiendo en este restaurante mi familia y yo.El trato desde el principio fue magnífico.Nuestra camarera hablaba español y fue muy agradable con nosotros.En general fueron todos muy simpáticos y serviciales.El sitio es muy acogedor y la comida muy rica. Recomendado 100% Un saludo a nuestra camarera holandesa valenciana!!! :) fue un placer conoceros.

Met een groep van 16 hier gisterenavond gegeten. Van te voren allemaal een keus gemaakt uit drie voor- hoofd- en nagerechten. Het was allemaal heerlijk! Complimenten voor de (hoorden wij) vrouwelijke kok. Ik kom zeker nog eens langs.

Last few days in Europe and we came upon this historic cafe. Probably the best meal we had the entire vacation. Service was excellent staff pleasant,all round a great experience. (Cold beer was great too)

We love the Grand Cafe. We were staying close by and were looking for a place to eat - saw the restaurant and loved it. We happened to be visiting Amsterdam again and of course we had to have dinner again. The staff, food and location are just super. If we are in Amsterdam again we will certainly make our way to the Grand Cafe.

Kid friendly restaurant near the Amsterdam central station, with kid's menu, baby seat and nappy changing table. The truffle pasta was a little pricey yet delicious. My friend had the onion soup which she found a bit too salty.

This restaurant was close to our hotel and Centraal Statiom in Amsterdam. We were able to get a lovely table by the window even though we did not have a reservation. Tables are spread apart and the decor had a lovely cozy air about it. Servers were knowledgeable about the menu . The truffle mushroom pasta was amazing with homemade pasta that was perfectly seasoned. The butcher cut was the pork rib steak which was cooked to perfection. The catch of the day was haddock and it was moist and flavourful. All dishes arrived in the table piping hot. It was a wonderful first dinner in Amsterdam - amazing food , very reasonably priced with friendly service. Highly recommend .

We loved our stop here for lunch. We were craving fresh foods and it did not disappoint! Service was wonderful and the menu variety had something for everyone.

I recently visited this restaurant for a business meeting, and the service was incredibly disappointing. Despite the restaurant having ample space and only a third of the tables occupied, the staff disrupted my meeting multiple times, pressuring me to order more drinks. Their rude attitude and disregard for my needs completely soured the experience, making it one of the worst service encounters in my life. I hope the restaurant management takes this feedback to heart and improves their service quality. The date of visit was 28.09.23.

Grand Café 1884 en Amsterdam (Paises Bajos) es un Café-Restó frente al puerto. Solo he tomado un café y utilicé el baño a la mañana mientras esperaba un Tour, pues es el lugar de "Encuentro y Partida" de una Empresa de Circuitos en Paises Bajos. El lugar está limpio, nada destacable, servicio poco amable.

Heerlijk genoten van 4-gangen Chef’s Menu. Alle gangen waren verrukkelijk, van tonijn carpaccio tot de parelhoen. Prijs-kwaliteit verhouding uitstekend en vriendelijk personeel. Zou zeker terugkomen!

The lady waitress is super nice and friendly but man waiter is unfriendly at all. He is very rude and no patient.
