Thai Faa Faet in Oostelijke Vechtoever

The food was in the pan for far too long (overcooked), and had very little taste, although the portions were large, it took far too long before we received our food.

We'd love to eat here every week. The people are great, the food is great, we feel completely at home.

We moored our boat in the Vecht River, at the small harbor of Thai Faa Feat. We had a delicious meal and found a great place to stay overnight!

Update August 3, 2025: We were here again for dinner today. The food was very tasty and good. Good portions. Very friendly and polite service. We parked our motorhome next door on the parking space. Nice small intimate restaurant, fast service and very tasty food

Had a fantastic meal again last night! There were 9 of us, service was good (they are nice, sociable people) and the food was delicious as always. Everyone in the group enjoyed it!

Het eten in dit Thaise restaurant was fantastisch! De smaken waren authentiek en goed uitgebalanceerd, met verse ingrediënten die duidelijk met zorg waren bereid. De sfeer in het restaurant was ook heel gezellig. Daarnaast wil ik ook de serveersters een compliment geven: ze waren niet alleen vriendelijk en professioneel, maar ook echt prachtig. Hier een paar weken geleden gegeten. Het eten was alles behalve vers, rundvlees was niet eens herkenbaar in het eten. Dat maakt het het lange wachten zeker niet waard. In het verleden was het hier prima en vers eten, helaas is dit nu niet meer het geval, jammer!

What strikes me is that the owner always expresses gratitude for good reviews and often responds negatively to less good reviews. Learning from it and taking reflection would be better. As for me: I placed another order after a number of years and came again just like then. came to the conclusion that the food has not improved. Then I'm still moderate. Food seemed as if it had been prepared on a plastic rack, which had become too hot. In short, plastic taste. And far too little meat with much more (in this case) bamboo shoots. Had little to do with Thai food, I know the flavors well from elsewhere. Too bad, but had to mention this anyway. Greetings for improvement

Always delicious, whenever we are in the area with our camper we eat here.

A few months ago in the summer months we had dinner here, both starters and main courses. The food was just not tasty, not properly Thai seasoned and not spicy. That's why we just left the soup alone. We almost got the feeling that there was someone in the kitchen with no work experience with Thai food. It also took forever for the food to be on the table, even though there were few other guests. Afterwards, this turned out to be because the restaurant also has a takeaway option. We only heard this from the waiter when we indicated that we had to wait a very long time for the food. Service apparently uninterested in the guests. This review will probably receive a response from the restaurant itself that it is not true and that it is made up, as has happened with other negative reviews. Very unfortunate because we really needed a nice new Thai to go to often, but unfortunately this place was a huge disappointment. Our advice: avoid.

We always eat very well here in a very attractive atmosphere. We experience the quality and taste as very good and tasty.

Nice restaurant that we happened to pass by and we were in the mood for Thai. Atmospheric restaurant, delicious food and friendly service! Definitely recommended if you like the real Thai taste!

Van buiten een echt mooi oud Hollands huisje maar van binnen waan je Thaise sfeer. En als je dan ook zo gastvrij wordt ontvangen dan kan zo etentje het eigelijk al niet stuk. Aan ruime opstelling per tafel hebben we heerlijk gegeten van de lekker Thaise gerechten. Het leg misschien een beetje afgelegen maar zeker de moeite waard om er 50 km voor om te rijden.

Heerlijk gegeten. 4 verschillende gerechten genomen, zodat we met 4 personen van alles wat konden opscheppen.

Het restaurant zit langs de Vecht. Mooie omgeving. Wij konden buiten eten. Het terras is mooi gemaakt met vele prachtige bloemen. Binnen ziet het restaurant er ook heel gezellig uit. Leuke spontane bediening. Het eten was verrassend lekker. Wat over was meegenomen en de volgende dag smaakte dat zelfs nog lekkerder haha. Zeker een aanrader!

Het blijft een uniek plekje zomaar langs de weg, vroeger een koffiehuisje en langzaamaan omgebouwd tot een echt Thais restaurant hier krijg je waar voor je geld een absolute aanrader👌💯👌

We hadden loempia's en kip cashewnoten. En een soep. We werden snel geholpen en hebben totaal niet lang hoeven wachten zoals de meeste mensen zeggen. En kan niks anders zeggen dan dat het eten prima was. Wij hebben genoten. Mooi uitzicht over de weilanden. Nooit geweten dat dit restaurant hier zat. Wij komen zeker vaker terug. Prijzen zijn prima en de porties zijn zeer netjes.

Goede keuken, geur, kleur en smaak in balans. Meerdere keren hier gegeten. Never a dull moment. Perfect

Fijne plek in landelijke omgeving. Echter, de kwaliteit van het eten is zwaar achteruit gegaan. We hadden de kip cashew met groenten: de kip niet met een krokant laagje, de saus erg zoet, groenten alleen ui en broccoli. Nasi (4,00 euro extra) en smaakt gewoon naar witte rijst. Kortom, jammer, een aantal jaren geleden hele goede ervaring gehad en nu echt beduidend minder!

Eten fantastisch!! Dit was een onwerkelijke ervaring ik ben hier vanaf nu elke week te vinden! Eigenaar heel aardig en service perfect. Ik kom net 2 maanden uit Thailand, dit was nog beters. Leek net alsof ik terug was!

Really amazing Thai food in a cute old barn house! The food took a little while but it’s a super cozy place to sit and enjoy the view over the field. The portions are quite big too, so good value :)

Deze ochtend van mensen gehoord dat je hier lekker kon eten. Dus maar eens uitproberen. Vriendelijk ontvangst,en zeer lekker gegeten.top goed bezig.bedankt.

In-line with some of the other reviews the service was not up to the mark. We had to wait 1 hour for starters which still were not served together and the spring rolls were frozen not home made as you would expect from a Thai restaurant. Main course quality was overall good but it's Thai for the dutch pallete which is more sweet than spicy. Kids enjoyed their bami and nasi and the location is beautiful. We will try again and hope for a little better service next time.
