The Pancake Club in Vondelbuurt

This afternoon, my family (5 people) and I enjoyed delicious pancakes after our visit to the Rijksmuseum. The staff was very friendly and patient. The seating was very nice and cozy. We certainly didn't have to wait long for our food. The restrooms were also very clean. In short, definitely recommended!

Dutch pancakes are delicious and not too sweet when eaten hot. Just order the original flavor.

After a disappointing attempt to get pancakes or poffertjes on our last trip to Amsterdam, we were glad to find this place basically across the street from our Leidseplein hotel. Yes, it's a little pricey, but it's a must-do experience when in Amsterdam.

Had such a lovely breakfast here with my gf. Was lovely weather so we sat by the canal and had bacon and apple pancake and coffee. The service was really friendly and the location was perfect for the museums. Dog friendly too.

One of our favorite places. While the female employees were very friendly and helpful their male counterparts were standoffish and seem to be less than happy to be working.

The pineapple dutch pancake is a must try. The caramelization of pineapple adds a nice kick to the pancake. The poffertjes was a tad bit too sweet for my liking. But they are buttery soft. Sitting by the canal elevates the experience. But the indoors is beautifully done too.

A charming spot in the park with great pancakes. The little sweet pancakes with strawberries were a treat. Although not on the menu, we ordered the dutch classic apple and bacon pannenkoeken, delicious. Nice coffee and service too. Dog-friendly.

The bacon pancake were really sad and barely had any bacon on it. Tasty but not worth the money at all. Also took a really long timeto arrive.

Kiosk with a super nice view along a canal to try the famous mini pancakes of Amsterdam. Unsurprisingly, it's very good, like pancakes with sugar, strawberries and whipped cream in the end 😄 small downside for the lump of butter in the middle of the pancakes, I would have preferred to pay a little less and have less butter, there was more than half left when I finished my plate.

Lovely spot by the canal, I a small section of park, but very central for Riksmuseum, etc. The prices are reasonable for its location and you can sit outside and we weren't rushed so could enjoy a good coffee and savoury or sweet pancakes, all freshly prepared. The staff were very friendly and attentive without being overbearing. A good spot to recharge and pause from the bustle of this busy area.

What a lovely spot for some of the best Poffertjes! Great service with a smile, fast service and fresh goods. Wonderfully warm chocolate available to pour over your ice cream. So yummy, and a great location, too!!

Pancakes are good but expensive and take a long time Service is bad takes ages, made a mistake on the coffe order, then the pancake order, then bought the wrong bill, all while another waitress chatted up the bloke she met last night. Topped it off by asking if we wanted to tip?!

I visited last year and it was so delicious that I came back 😋 Be sure to try the menu that comes with ice cream. It's really, really delicious ㅠㅠㅠ The best!

Even if you are not in the neighborhood, do not hesitate to come there by tram, it is very easy. We took the most generous formula as brunch (20 mini pancakes + scoop of ice cream + whipped cream). It was a beautiful Saturday morning in July and we were just in heaven! It is beautiful, it is delicious, the service is impeccable, the location on the canal is calm and picturesque. Go there with your eyes closed, enjoy the moment, the pancakes... you will be delighted 🤩

We truly enjoyed the delicious pancakes, in the unique building with the views of the canals. We ate both sweet and savory crepes and they were all delicious. This was the perfect spot for us before venturing to VanGough museum.

So good we made a return visit a few days later! Super speedy and friendly service and the most delicious fresh pancakes. The poffertjes are to die for, first I had them with strawberries and cream but actually the traditional way with just butter and icing sugar was just as good.

We were three people there on a weekday morning. The service was immediately available and super friendly when taking our order. The waiter even came back to double-check if he had taken our order correctly. The food was then brought by a very friendly server. The food was super delicious, and we were glad to have started our day there. Always a recommendation when visiting the city

Delicious, crepe-like pancakes! We ordered both bacon and cheese and the banana-filled pancake and added nutella on top. Highly recommend both. Quite pricey but it's worth it. The service was lovely and speedy too!

We had a nice boat tour with the VR boat on the Leidsekade so afterwards we wanted to enjoy the canals a bit more. We found the pancake club, nice seat at the water and we had lovely poffertjes (dutch small pancakes) with coffee. The service was very nice and the ladies were very kind and helpful! The mini pancakes were hotly served with fresh bananas and strawberries. The hot apples as topping were equally delicious. Worth a try.

Weekends are very crowded. Come early or be prepared to wait. We sat outside because the inside was full, but eventually asked to be moved inside because it was too drafty and cold outside. The staff was nice, but we had to wait a long time for our food. The coffee cups were tiny, and I drank mine way before the food arrived. The food was ok, but definitely overpriced. You are paying for the experience.

Es una trampa para turistas clásica: demasiado cara, demasiado publicitada y con pocas expectativas. Pedí panqueques que, francamente, eran mediocres en el mejor de los casos, y los míos incluso estaban parcialmente crudos. Por el precio, la calidad era inaceptable. Uno empieza a preguntarse seriamente si el sistema de calificación está roto o si nosotros, como sociedad, hemos perdido nuestros estándares. No soy un teórico de la conspiración, pero es difícil no preguntarse si algunas de estas críticas entusiastas fueron pagadas.

The Pancake Club is a famous pancake shop located in a cozy location overlooking the canal next to Oud West, Leidesbosge Park since 1993. It is quite well-known to Koreans because Jennie and Jisoo of Blackpink visited, but it is loved by both tourists and locals, and it is so popular that it has a 4.5/5 rating on Tripadvisor and is ranked high in the dessert category. It is a traditional Dutch pancake with thin and large dough, similar to a crepe, and you can enjoy it with a variety of sweet fruit toppings and savory fillings such as ham and cheese. Drinks include coffee, hot chocolate, fresh juice, wine, and beer, and Illy coffee is used for coffee. Locals often eat pancakes with bacon, mozzarella, and ham fillings, but I ordered pancakes with strawberry, banana, and Greek yogurt toppings, and a cup of Americano to go with them. The view while eating while looking out over the canal is 5 points, but the taste of the pancake was a bit ordinary^^;; The pancake dough basically has a strong flour taste. It looked like a crepe, but it tasted like a pancake with nothing in it? It was just the taste of cooked flour dough. The freshness and taste of the toppings were okay, but the dough was disappointing. The coffee tasted like Illy coffee, neither more nor less. So, since I paid about 23 euros, it was hard to rate the taste as good for the price. However, the locals often eat pancakes with cheese and ham, so if you are planning to visit here, I think you should try those^^ I personally have no intention of visiting again. I don't really like desserts, so I don't go often unless the taste is really good;; ㅎㅎ However, if you want to taste pancakes with a great view in Amsterdam, I recommend visiting at least once. It's a great representative restaurant, so if you put it on your schedule, you won't regret it!

The most delicious poffertjes in all of Amsterdam. Fresh, the "small" portion is more than enough for two people. The version with powdered sugar and butter is delicious enough to make you fall to your knees.

The hot coco was devine, the pancake a little over cooked but still nice. The place is very cosy surrounded by a park. The inside is smaller than it seems in the pictures.

We went for the mini pancakes and boy did they not disappoint! These were one of the best pancakes I have ever had! They melted in my mouth the butter and powder sugar made them all the more better. If your visiting Amsterdam I wouldn’t miss this place was so sweet to be by the canal and the salt add were all so friendly and sweet.

The decoration is very unique, with outdoor and indoor seats, booths and bar seats indoors. The small pancakes are excellent. Dutch pancakes are a bit like French crepes, with a lot more frosting, but they are also very delicious and they don’t feel too sweet after eating half of them. Hot chocolate is also a drink worth ordering!

The place and the atmosphere are lovely, the staff is very friendly and we were served in a short time. The only flaw is the price, which, despite the style of the place and despite it not being a shop in the middle of the road, I think is a little too high.

A delightful stop in Amsterdam, The Pancake Club offers a warm welcome and delicious treats. We thoroughly enjoyed the lemon curd pancake, a perfect balance of sweet and tart. The plain pancake was also excellent – ask for butter on top :) The staff were really friendly and helpful, adding to the positive experience. It's a cozy spot for a tasty pancake fix with great service.

Since Jenny went there, there were quite a few Koreans there. I was satisfied, but I couldn't concentrate because I kept hearing Korean. It seems like it has become too touristy (for Koreans!) The taste and experience were worth a try.

Never had a "Dutch pancake" before, so my expectations were mixed. What I experienced was much better than I had imagined it would be. I had the ham and cheese pancake for 18 euros. Not cheap, but worth the price given the location. Under a centuries-old shadey maple tree about 12 feet away from the canal with ducklings paddling by, the experience was relaxing and peaceful. My breakfast partner had a banana and strawberry pancake and gushed about it! The portions were generous and the well-crafted latte finished breakfast properly. A good opening-time experience!

This is a cute little pancake place. I loved the all glass building next to the canal. Very friendly service. We got there when it opened and it did fill up fast. They do not take reservations.

Este lugar ha cambiado su nombre a The Pancake Club, pero parece servir lo mismo. Situado justo al lado del río y tiene asientos en el exterior bajo árboles en su mayoría sombreados. Estuvimos allí el día después del día de Reyes y fue una mañana encantadora. El tiempo era fresco, pero no frío y pudimos disfrutar de la agradable brisa y los barcos del canal que pasaban por allí. También pude conectarme a la WiFi desde el Casino al otro lado del río. Era débil, pero aún funcionaba. Estábamos sentados afuera y esperamos casi 10 minutos antes de que alguien viniera a tomar nuestra orden de comida y bebidas. Pedimos la crepe de plátano para compartir y tomé un café mientras mi esposa pedía el jugo de pera. El par de jugos proviene de una botella. El café fue servido en una taza pequeña y estaba bien. Estoy acostumbrado a beberlo con crema y edulcorante. Pero los europeos no tienen estos artículos, así que lo bebí con azúcar. Creo que esperamos casi 30 minutos antes de que nuestra comida saliera. Ahora, sólo pedimos crepes con plátanos dentro. Por lo general, en el centro comercial, se tarda unos minutos en hacer crepes. No sé cómo les tomó casi 30 minutos hacer un artículo. Eso sí, el lugar no estaba lleno cuando llegamos, así que no entiendo cuánto tiempo tuvimos que esperar a que nuestro servidor pidiera nuestra comida y por qué tardaron tanto en hacer nuestra comida. Una vez que finalmente salió, pensé que el crepé era bueno, pero no fuera de su mente fantástico. Es sólo básico. ¿Alguna vez volveré, probablemente no debido al tiempo de espera y la comida no era tan grande.

Worst experience ever, when I walked in around 11:30am, they told me the restaurant is closed due to the owner has a lot of pressure in the kitchen and they couldn’t handle any more new guests. Even though the restaurant is half empty and guests kept leaving. They said I was welcome to come back later and hopefully there will be service, when I asked when , they said not sure, because the instruction from boss didn’t mention it. We were not even allowed to wait at the table. We were so disappointed and we left as we really want to try it the food. So i do not recommend even going here , as they suck ar running restaurant business

Slow service, crepes arrived cold and the bill was very expensive for what was on top of the "pancake". Only the environment is beautiful

Tuvimos un fantástico desayuno familiar en The Pancake Club durante nuestro viaje a Amsterdam. Las tortitas estaban absolutamente deliciosas, esponjosas, perfectamente cocinadas y con un montón de opciones dulces y saladas para elegir. El personal era cálido y acogedor, y el entorno tenía un ambiente relajado y acogedor que nos hizo sentir como en casa. A nuestros hijos les encantó, especialmente con la presentación divertida y porciones generosas. Es un gran lugar para las familias, y sin duda volveremos la próxima vez que estemos en la ciudad!

Great spot we visit every time we’re in Amsterdam.

I was there with my parents at the weekend, it wasn't particularly busy, but the waitress seemed quite overwhelmed and seated us at a table in the last corner of the restaurant. The pancakes (I had Oreo, with vanilla ice cream and cream, my parents had cheese with bacon) were very poorly topped and prepared without any love, the taste was similar to a ready-made mix from a supermarket and unfortunately the price was far too high for that. There was no beer, even though it was on the menu (the waitress couldn't explain why). We paid almost €60 for 2 pancakes and 3 drinks. In addition, the service was very slow despite there being a small number of people, and my colleagues also seemed very unmotivated to me. The only thing that made us happy was the great location, the rest was pretty bad...

Fuimos a almorzar (con la esperanza de ir a desayunar, pero no abren hasta las 10 am) y tuvimos nuestro primer panqueques holandeses. Estos crepes - como delicias eran maravillosos! Fui salado (tortita de queso con tomate y champiñones por encima como una pizza! ) y mi esposa fue dulce (plátano con Nutella) . También tuvimos un pequeño pedido (10 piezas) de poffertjes (todavía no estoy seguro de cómo pronunciarlo) con azúcar en polvo y mantequilla que estaban fuera de este mundo! Son como pequeñas almohadas hinchadas. Si solo tienes panqueques holandeses una vez durante tu visita, considera The Pancake Club. La ubicación es genial: justo al otro lado de la calle de Vondelpark y a pocos minutos de Rijksmuseum, Museo Van Gogh, y muchos paseos en barco por el canal.
