The Pancake Club in Vondelbuurt

Fabulous meal at this family owned restaurant in the park that was recommended by our hotel nearby. Everyone loved their choice and the serving was so generous I couldn’t finish mine! Our server was the owner’s sister. The restaurant was started by their parents. Definitely worth a try!

This place is tasty but also really expensive for what it is! The pancakes are great, the coffee pretty terrible, the fresh juice solid. There's cheaper places to have the same thing, but it's also in a good location so that's probably part of the expense.

Large flat Dutch pancake was okay, it’s like a savory crepe which has a bit more dough. Poffertjes were amazing. Take each one in one bite and the butter/icing sugar perfectly complements the doughy ball of pancake.

Found the place on Google Maps and had to try it. The staff is attentive and courteous. The food was very good. They have more seating outside than inside the restaurant. On a warm day I recommend sitting outside.

After visiting the National Museum of Fine Arts, I chose a famous pancake house nearby. The shop is small and cozy. Since it is a windy season, I ate inside. Because I was alone and the place was small, I was able to enjoy my meal comfortably. The portions are small and the prices are high, but it is worth it. I ordered a small strawberry portion pancake and an Americano. I was worried because I heard the Americano wasn't good, but it was decent. All the staff were friendly.

If you are ever in Amsterdam you need to try this place. The staff are so friendly and the food is absolutely amazing. We went 2 days in a row - poffertjes the first day and pancakes the next. Both were incredible and washed down with one of the best iced lattes I've ever had.

Probably the best espresso we had in Amsterdam (italians speaking :) in a very quiet and cozy, kinda romantic place with a beautiful view on a small canal with duck families swimming by and mesmerising trees.

Pancake was amazing as well as the service. I would recommend all my friends and family to come here when I'm Amsterdam.

Lovely, lovely location! The Nutella pancake was divine — we did not think we could finish it but we devoured it. The poffertjes oh so good! They say one’s got to try these when in the Netherlands and so we did — and it did not disappoint! The staff was so kind, the kitchen was visible to customers and it was just so clean. The latte was icing on the cake! Absolutely recommend!

"Naleśnikarnia" (Pancake Shop) is amazing. It's located by a canal, with a very atmospheric atmosphere and the Amsterdam landmark on display. The service is very friendly and professional. The food is delicious, and it's worth trying two types of local pancakes. The wait time is short...about 10 minutes. A good place for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

Friendly smiley service from all waiters. I ordered the small one and it was more than enough for me. Had my sugar levels filled up through the day. Ordered with mint tea to balance it out. You should visit at least once if visiting the city.

The crepes were fantastic, our children loved them too and wanted to come here every day. The service and staff were also excellent. They offer respectful and clean service. Although the place isn't very large, there are many employees. If you're going to eat Poffertjes, one serving of the chocolate one can be shared between two people. On the second day, Mr. Hakan served us. Thank you for his attention.

Very nice atmosphere and friendly staff. I was there around 4:30 PM on Easter Saturday and it was still a bit chilly, so we sat inside, but there's also seating outside, along the canal. There are only a few tables inside, but we found a spot. The prices are high for Italians (about €20 for a crepe), but everything was good, worth trying once. We ordered both pofferties (the large portion) and crepes (the "pancake club" one, which also includes ice cream).

The best cafe in all of Amsterdam! The ambiance is comfortable and beautiful, the drinks are delicious, and the waffles are tasty—not too sweet, so you can eat a whole one without feeling overwhelmed.

Excellent food, lovely service, nice setting - not cheap. Had our first pancakes in Amsterdam here, they were very good - we went for savoury with cheese and ham or bacon. Only downside is it's definitely tourist prices at nearly 20 Euro for each pancake so not a cheap lunch. We sat outside by the river, and although you aren't far from the main road it's a good spot. Service was extremely polite. Overall recommended so long as you aren't looking for cheap eats.

Found this by accident last week with my daughter walking from our hotel to the Van Gogh Museum. It is an adorable little spot with delicious food! We had takeaway the first time and sat on the bench right outside. Came back for seconds and sat inside where it feels like a treehouse out of Alice in Wonderland. Highly recommend!

My go-to pancake place. Every time someone comes to visit us in Amsterdam, we take them to The Pancake Club to enjoy some good pancakes and poffertjes! The staff is always super friendly as well. The only downside of it is that there is almost always a wait time since it is not too big, but it’s a great place to have brunch/lunch if you’re around Vondelpark, I recommend it!

A cozy little place to eat excellent poffertjes and Dutch pancakes. The restaurant has limited seating, so you might have to wait a short time for a table (usually less than 15 minutes), but it's definitely worth the wait!

Absolutely 10/10 experience! The food here is incredible—we had the poffertjes with fresh strawberries and whipped cream and a massive lemon and sugar pancake that were both perfectly prepared. ​The atmosphere is a highlight; sitting right by the window with a view of the canal makes for a perfect Amsterdam morning. To top it off, the service was amazing—friendly, fast, and welcoming. If you’re looking for an authentic and delicious pancake spot, this is it!

Been back on 2 separate trips years apart and it was just the same as I remembered! Fresh poffertjes, good amount of chew, nice variety of flavours. The place is very cute but small, and the staff was friendly. I personally liked this better than the chain ones as they are pumping out the pancakes and it feels quite touristy and rushed like fast food. This is a nice sit down place.

Beautiful place and excellent food, a little pricey

This is a fun little place near the canals in Amsterdam under willow trees. They offer a variety of pancakes and crepes all day long. Stopped in for lunch and had the lemon crepes which I recommend wholeheartedly! When I make it back to Amsterdam, this will be one of the first places I stop in at!

We enjoyed our little sweet break at the pancake club very much. The poffertjes were the best once I had so far and the mimosa was a generous size.

The pancakes were delicious. What bothered me, however, was that the staff didn't speak Dutch. Even though there are many tourists, you'd expect Dutch to be available in a Dutch restaurant.

The prices are on the higher side but the food itself was nice. I was really enjoying my meal until, out of nowhere, an older man from the kitchen (I assume he’s the owner?) started yelling at one of the staff across the entire restaurant. It’s a small place so everyone could hear it, it made the atmosphere really uncomfortable. I don’t know what happened but it came across as very unprofessional, especially in front of guests.

Lovely spot on the canal, close to the Rijksmuseum. However, the service was slow - the staff were apparently all new, and it showed. There didn't seem to be a system and no one seemed to know what they were doing. The pancakes were fine, good size portions, but I'm not sure I'd recommend as anything other than average. This was my second visit to The Pancake Club since being in Amsterdam, and both times the food, coffee, atmosphere, and service were excellent! The first time, I had the poffertjes (mini pancakes), which were delicious, but the pineapple Dutch pancake on my second visit was hands-down my favorite. I actually tried it after seeing another reviewer recommend it — and they were right! I’d also suggest adding a side of bacon; it perfectly balances out the sweetness of the dish.

We came here on a Saturday morning, the pancakes were very tasty and arrived quickly. It appeared that most of the staff were new so a few things were forgotten and it took over 25minutes for the bill to arrive, despite asking 3 different staff members. I suggest in the future that new staff don’t all start on the same day. I would recommend going for the food.
