The prices are on the higher side but the food itself was nice. I was really enjoying my meal until, out of nowhere, an older man from the kitchen (I assume he’s the owner?) started yelling at one of the staff across the entire restaurant. It’s a small place so everyone could hear it, it made the atmosphere really uncomfortable. I don’t know what happened but it came across as very unprofessional, especially in front of guests.

Lovely spot on the canal, close to the Rijksmuseum. However, the service was slow - the staff were apparently all new, and it showed. There didn't seem to be a system and no one seemed to know what they were doing. The pancakes were fine, good size portions, but I'm not sure I'd recommend as anything other than average. It was a real effort to get the bill!

But if you’re in the mood to treat yourself, that rich, buttery sweetness is exactly what you want. I usually share a portion so I can enjoy the flavor without feeling overly full. Staff are welcoming and unobtrusive — friendly smiles, quick recommendations, and service that stays unhurried, which keeps the whole experience calm and restorative. The portion sizes are generous, so it’s a good idea to come hungry or plan to share. They also have a nice selection of hot drinks; a well-brewed coffee or a soothing tea pairs perfectly with the pancakes. This was my second visit to The Pancake Club since being in Amsterdam, and both times the food, coffee, atmosphere, and service were excellent! The first time, I had the poffertjes (mini pancakes), which were delicious, but the pineapple Dutch pancake on my second visit was hands-down my favorite. I actually tried it after seeing another reviewer recommend it — and they were right! I’d also suggest adding a side of bacon; it perfectly balances out the sweetness of the dish.

We came here on a Saturday morning, the pancakes were very tasty and arrived quickly. It appeared that most of the staff were new so a few things were forgotten and it took over 25minutes for the bill to arrive, despite asking 3 different staff members. I suggest in the future that new staff don’t all start on the same day. I would recommend going for the food.

It's best to go at opening time to avoid queues but it's definitely worth it despite the slightly high prices.

Recommended by our travel planner, this canal side café was a gem. On our first visit we ordered the Pancake Club poffertjes with strawberries, cream and ice cream. Yum! The next day we tried a savoury pancake and were delighted with a ham and cheese pancake topped with mushrooms. Plenty for two.

What a JEWEL in the midst of Amsterdam! The foods are very delightful and mindfully prepared. We enjoyed the traditional Danish pancake w/ fruit + yogurt and a wonderful coffee/tea. But what brought us back here in the afternoon were the poffertjes!! Ah-maze-ing! A light and luscious sweet w/ a tea is the perfect afternoon traditional treat. The staff....is as sweet as the menu (they also serve savory) such truly wonderful souls. Again - a little slice of heaven in the midst of busy busy Amsterdam. We highly recommend.

Very cute spot on the canal, right of Leidplains. Was quite a few groups I front of us but we managed to get a seat in 10mins. Food: Had a pancake with Nutella and strawberries. There was so much Nutella, these pancakes were massive and very tasty. Also had the mini pancakes and these were my favourite. Lovely mini light pancakes.

Overpriced savory pancakes. 20 euros for bacon and cheese! Go there for the sweet pancakes only.

This afternoon, my family (5 people) and I enjoyed delicious pancakes after our visit to the Rijksmuseum. The staff was very friendly and patient. The seating was very nice and cozy. We certainly didn't have to wait long for our food. The restrooms were also very clean. In short, definitely recommended!

Dutch pancakes are delicious and not too sweet when eaten hot. Just order the original flavor.

After a disappointing attempt to get pancakes or poffertjes on our last trip to Amsterdam, we were glad to find this place basically across the street from our Leidseplein hotel. Yes, it's a little pricey, but it's a must-do experience when in Amsterdam.

Had such a lovely breakfast here with my gf. Was lovely weather so we sat by the canal and had bacon and apple pancake and coffee. The service was really friendly and the location was perfect for the museums. Dog friendly too.

One of our favorite places. While the female employees were very friendly and helpful their male counterparts were standoffish and seem to be less than happy to be working.

The pineapple dutch pancake is a must try. The caramelization of pineapple adds a nice kick to the pancake. The poffertjes was a tad bit too sweet for my liking. But they are buttery soft. Sitting by the canal elevates the experience. But the indoors is beautifully done too.

A charming spot in the park with great pancakes. The little sweet pancakes with strawberries were a treat. Although not on the menu, we ordered the dutch classic apple and bacon pannenkoeken, delicious. Nice coffee and service too. Dog-friendly.

Kiosk with a super nice view along a canal to try the famous mini pancakes of Amsterdam. Unsurprisingly, it's very good, like pancakes with sugar, strawberries and whipped cream in the end 😄 small downside for the lump of butter in the middle of the pancakes, I would have preferred to pay a little less and have less butter, there was more than half left when I finished my plate.

Lovely spot by the canal, I a small section of park, but very central for Riksmuseum, etc. The prices are reasonable for its location and you can sit outside and we weren't rushed so could enjoy a good coffee and savoury or sweet pancakes, all freshly prepared. The staff were very friendly and attentive without being overbearing. A good spot to recharge and pause from the bustle of this busy area.

Pancakes are good but expensive and take a long time Service is bad takes ages, made a mistake on the coffe order, then the pancake order, then bought the wrong bill, all while another waitress chatted up the bloke she met last night. Topped it off by asking if we wanted to tip?!

Even if you are not in the neighborhood, do not hesitate to come there by tram, it is very easy. We took the most generous formula as brunch (20 mini pancakes + scoop of ice cream + whipped cream). It was a beautiful Saturday morning in July and we were just in heaven! It is beautiful, it is delicious, the service is impeccable, the location on the canal is calm and picturesque. Go there with your eyes closed, enjoy the moment, the pancakes... you will be delighted 🤩

So good we made a return visit a few days later! Super speedy and friendly service and the most delicious fresh pancakes. The poffertjes are to die for, first I had them with strawberries and cream but actually the traditional way with just butter and icing sugar was just as good.

We were three people there on a weekday morning. The service was immediately available and super friendly when taking our order. The waiter even came back to double-check if he had taken our order correctly. The food was then brought by a very friendly server. The food was super delicious, and we were glad to have started our day there. Always a recommendation when visiting the city

We had a nice boat tour with the VR boat on the Leidsekade so afterwards we wanted to enjoy the canals a bit more. We found the pancake club, nice seat at the water and we had lovely poffertjes (dutch small pancakes) with coffee. The service was very nice and the ladies were very kind and helpful! Weekends are very crowded. Come early or be prepared to wait. We sat outside because the inside was full, but eventually asked to be moved inside because it was too drafty and cold outside. The staff was nice, but we had to wait a long time for our food. The coffee cups were tiny, and I drank mine way before the food arrived. The food was ok, but definitely overpriced. You are paying for the experience.

Pedí panqueques que, francamente, eran mediocres en el mejor de los casos, y los míos incluso estaban parcialmente crudos. Por el precio, la calidad era inaceptable. Uno empieza a preguntarse seriamente si el sistema de calificación está roto o si nosotros, como sociedad, hemos perdido nuestros estándares. The Pancake Club is a famous pancake shop located in a cozy location overlooking the canal next to Oud West, Leidesbosge Park since 1993. It is quite well-known to Koreans because Jennie and Jisoo of Blackpink visited, but it is loved by both tourists and locals, and it is so popular that it has a 4.5/5 rating on Tripadvisor and is ranked high in the dessert category. It is a traditional Dutch pancake with thin and large dough, similar to a crepe, and you can enjoy it with a variety of sweet fruit toppings and savory fillings such as ham and cheese. Drinks include coffee, hot chocolate, fresh juice, wine, and beer, and Illy coffee is used for coffee. Locals often eat pancakes with bacon, mozzarella, and ham fillings, but I ordered pancakes with strawberry, banana, and Greek yogurt toppings, and a cup of Americano to go with them. The view while eating while looking out over the canal is 5 points, but the taste of the pancake was a bit ordinary^^;; The pancake dough basically has a strong flour taste. It looked like a crepe, but it tasted like a pancake with nothing in it? It was just the taste of cooked flour dough. The freshness and taste of the toppings were okay, but the dough was disappointing. The coffee tasted like Illy coffee, neither more nor less. So, since I paid about 23 euros, it was hard to rate the taste as good for the price. However, the locals often eat pancakes with cheese and ham, so if you are planning to visit here, I think you should try those^^ I personally have no intention of visiting again. I don't really like desserts, so I don't go often unless the taste is really good;; ㅎㅎ However, if you want to taste pancakes with a great view in Amsterdam, I recommend visiting at least once. It's a great representative restaurant, so if you put it on your schedule, you won't regret it!

The most delicious poffertjes in all of Amsterdam. Fresh, the "small" portion is more than enough for two people. The version with powdered sugar and butter is delicious enough to make you fall to your knees.

We went for the mini pancakes and boy did they not disappoint! These were one of the best pancakes I have ever had! They melted in my mouth the butter and powder sugar made them all the more better. If your visiting Amsterdam I wouldn’t miss this place was so sweet to be by the canal and the salt add were all so friendly and sweet.

The decoration is very unique, with outdoor and indoor seats, booths and bar seats indoors. The small pancakes are excellent. Dutch pancakes are a bit like French crepes, with a lot more frosting, but they are also very delicious and they don’t feel too sweet after eating half of them. Hot chocolate is also a drink worth ordering!
