Bos Vishandel -AH- Danswijk in Wijk 02 Almere Stad

We arrived at 13:30 and were told that they would open at 14:00, which is already a strange time in itself, but we couldn't order anything anymore because everything was sold out, ridiculous but not anymore. On top of that, it took 5 minutes before I received a reply.

The atmosphere in the place is good; it seems like the owner is sitting in an office right in the middle of the place. The onion sauce has such large onions that it is really ridiculous; they apparently don't know how to cut them into cubes. I have a very sensitive stomach and I am a picky eater. Never again for me. I don't want to say it's bad, because someone with a strong stomach could probably handle this, but I couldn't. The meat was heavily spiced, very strongly. Apart from the coarse onion, the sauce was fine (red onion sauce); the kapsalon I ordered was otherwise fine too. The sauce is not served separately; it is placed on top warm, and that is not pleasant either. Unfortunately, my stomach didn't like this. I regret it, but it was tasty.

What a lovely location! Surrounded by nature, this modern and charming restaurant is perfect. It's great that it's adjacent to the visitor center, so the kids could browse while waiting for their food. The staff was friendly and helpful; we quickly got a table and high chair. We had a delicious meal. And the most helpful person of all was the person we spoke to on the phone when we got home, 200km away, and realized we'd left a jacket behind. She was kind enough to send it to us!

The food was delicious and served quickly! The staff are also very friendly. Definitely worth repeating.
