My go-to spot for delicious shawarma or kebab! A household name in Almere Muziekwijk for years.

We always come here to eat. Sometimes the owner is there, and sometimes he isn't. This time the owner was there, and it seemed like he wanted to rip us off, because we had 3 Kapsalons, and normally you get that little plate with the three sauces on the side; this time he was being difficult about it. He claimed that you get *the* sauces when you order a plate, but there were guests next to us who had ordered a pizza and a small Kapsalon, and they did get sauce with it, so that was striking. He said he would add it for us for now (with good intentions, we thought). Before we left, we wanted 2 kids' ice creams with disco dip, but we only got an ice cream in 2 cups with just a few dots of disco dip on it. (Very stingy) So, the bottom line is that he charged 5 euros per ice cream as a sundae, which wasn't a sundae at all!!!! Plus, he charged another 2 euros for the sauce!! So we just took an extra 10-15 euros, and now we're never coming here again! Such a shame, we've been coming here for yearsnn

Unfortunately, today, July 24th, the fries were well-fried, but the meat was terrible. Well, it remains randomness. Too bad. Now I've ordered a 1Vandaag shawarma platter again; it was super. Thank you.

Honestly the most disgusting food I have ever eaten. So bad that this is worth my very first review ever. Food arrived after 1.5 hours. Claimed the car broke down on the way, had made food again, and that it would arrive in about half an hour. Arrived 5 minutes later with cold food, so that whole story is completely exposed. Honestly the most awful chicken ever. Besides that, I could seriously count the amount of lettuce and doner kebab at the other kapsalons. And they dare to charge premium prices for this too. I bought 2 mediums and 1 small kapsalon. That small kapsalon was smaller than my phone. How this company has 1700 positive reviews on Thuisbezorgd, I have no idea. 100% fake, it can't be anything else.

At 5:52 PM, I placed an order. At 6:51 PM, I still hadn't received any food, so I called to ask about the delivery status. Cairo: “No sir, the food has already been handed over to a 60-year-old on location.” I: “Excuse me? Which location? And who is that 60-year-old supposed to be? No one in my family is 60; the oldest is 39.” Cairo: “No, it really has been handed over.” I: “Once again: I haven't received anything, otherwise I wouldn't be calling. Figure out for yourself where things went wrong.” Cairo then responded: “Sir, don't worry, your food is on its way.” This was 6:53 PM. At 6:55 PM, a boy and a girl stood at my door with the food. They came from a street further down; that is where Cairo had delivered the food to the wrong place. At 19:32, I called again to check the status and essentially to point out that they had delivered the food to the wrong address. Caïro's response: “No, nothing is coming anymore. The delivery person said it was delivered. There is always a problem with you.” The funny thing is that we rarely order from them, let alone that there would be “always a problem.” The owner then claimed that addresses are always the problem for them. He said: “I am sending the delivery person to the m(beep)straat right now to confirm it.” I had to correct him: he mentioned a wrong address. The correct address is m(beep)straat. And I didn't say anything more! At 20:19, I received a call and was told that I am a liar. I explained to him that they are a big joke as a delivery service: I was still waiting for his delivery person. “Yes, but the food arrived at your place, didn't it?” To which I rightly pointed out to him: Indeed, the food arrived here, but it wasn't delivered by you. It is funny that you claim otherwise. You delivered it to the wrong address. Even after I called the first time, you didn't take it seriously. Fortunately, there are honest people living on the street who brought the food to the correct address. But proper follow-up, a check to see if the food actually arrived, or calling a delivery person out on their mistake? Not a chance. Instead, the problem is shifted to others, the customer is accused of “always acting this way,” and there are even wishes that the customer won't order again. It remains a mystery how other orders do arrive correctly. Perhaps they also leave those somewhere in the middle of the street in the hope that it will turn out okay or that the customer will just go look for it themselves. Honest food is tasty, but that is about it. Service and atmosphere are a big fat zero.

Always the same quality, and the staff always deliver with a smile. Since I discovered Cairo, I don't eat shawarma anywhere else. The lamb shawarma is highly recommended.

I ordered a mixed grill for 21.95; you get 3 pieces of meat. And a side of fries! When you order, the website says lamb chops, but there is only 1 in it and 1 piece of chicken breast; you have to imagine the rest. Scandalous. I will never order from here again.

Food was cold, hard and tasted old

Service is terrible, it shows it takes 25-45 minutes for delivery but after 30 minutes it showed 40 more minutes I called, and they said sorry it should come in 15-20 minutes. It's been 30 minutes and still not here.

I recently ordered food, and it tasted really good, but I left a €10 tip through the website, and I hear it didn't reach the delivery driver. The restaurant is profiting from it. So next time you order, give the tip in cash at the door!

It's a shame they don't read properly there. I ordered a kapsalon and it clearly stated no sauces, but it still had garlic and sambal sauce on it, so it went straight into the trash.

Ordered a Kapsalon and a chicken sandwich; the taste was very sour and tasted like chicken that was past its expiration date. I got a terrible stomach ache after eating at this place. I don't think it's right how they handle this; they need to pay more attention to the food. It isn't even worth that one star. On the other hand, the staff is very friendly.

As a regular customer at Cairo, I'm truly disappointed today! I can't stand injustice and poor service. And that's exactly what happened today. The order was for two medium and one small kapsalon, one of which came without lettuce and was supposed to have garlic and sambal sauce. The delivery was smooth and fast, and both the delivery person and I forgot to pay cash (I normally pay in advance). It happens! My pregnant friend was the only one who hadn't received what she ordered: the kapsalon without lettuce and the correct sauce. All the kapsalons had chili sauce, garlic sauce, and lettuce! When I called about it, I couldn't reach anyone, so she reluctantly went to eat. Forty-five minutes later, I received a call back from the rudest, half-Dutch-speaking gentleman who completely ignored the fact that the order was incorrect. He wouldn't let me finish and started arguing with me that the order was correct and still needed to be paid for. Out of anger, I hung up and said I'd send the delivery person back for the money. The delivery driver returned promptly, and we resolved the issue after a good, thorough discussion. It's a shame that Cairo is still charging me for the wrong hair salon, and that the person on the phone was completely unservice-oriented and very rude. This is my first bad experience with Cairo, and I've been a regular customer for years. Such a shame!

I ordered a shawarma dish online today, the meat was very salty, it is good for high blood pressure, old people can die from this, so much salt. I called but that is normal, they said they send someone over to check. I will never order again, it was the first time but also the last time what a bad tent people don't order

We have ordered a few times in a short time, we really liked the fresh baguette with fresh herb butter, the kapsalon and pizza were also good. When I saw that they also sold ice cream on Sundays, we wanted to try them. But what a disappointment this was. You can put it together yourself and choose toppings. You pay extra for this. We had 3 ice creams, 2 of which had the toppings on them and they tasted like they had been there for years. Very dirty on the 3rd ice cream they forgot the topping, but they paid for it. After reporting this via the form to assess your order, we were unfortunately no longer contacted.

Food was lukewarm and they had forgotten drinks, I called the store and said it would be delivered but never came, I will not order from here again.

Very bad service. Called half an hour later than promised to ask how long it would take. We then agreed that it would be delivered as soon as possible, but would take another half hour at the latest. It can be busy, so we'll just have to wait and see. Now they are not reachable by phone and the food has not been delivered. No cancellation or anything initiated. Ordering here used to be fine. Now worst service in Almere. Never again for us.

THE BEST SHOARMA CALZONE IN ALMERE! Tip, order via the website and get 2 sauces of your choice and a free soft drink! The calcone is very well filled and because they deliver by car, the food stays really warm! Or even hot! Highly recommended! As the name says, really TOP QUALITY!

I just waited for my food...but as it turned out, 30 minutes after my order was placed, they decided they didn't want to fulfill it, so they canceled it without explanation. First and last time I order there.

The best gentleman from this restaurant or Ali expres pizzeria, decided to let us wait outside in the cold for about 45 minutes. Then sir give me a very nice cold pizza because that is their specialty. Then we contacted the gentleman by telephone, but the gentleman became very aggressive on the phone and showed no respect to us. The only solution the gentleman could come up with was for me to buy an oven to warm it up. So my advice is better to throw your money in the trash than give it to this gentleman. Hope everyone is smart and doesn't order from here anymore.

Ever since I was young, I have regularly come here for dinner in the evening. The people who work here are friendly and prepare the food quickly which is always delicious!

Eten was lekker. Keurig op tijd. Bestelling klopte en ook nog heel warm. Kortom gewoon goed

De eene x is het eten goed en de andere keer super teleurgesteld. Door de gok van wel of niet goed die vaker slecht uitpakt de keuze gemaakt om hier niet meer te bestellen. Er gaan ook vaak dingen fout bij de bestelling, en het is de buikpijn en misselijkheid niet meer waard. En het is heel zonde want het was de lekkerste kapsalon.

Hele vriendelijk medewerkers altijd aan het glimlachen. Het eten is ook heel lekker vooral de pizzas en cazones.

Kapsalon besteld daar. Erg lekker. Verder een vriendelijke man die mij hielp. Enige minpuntje is dat er geen komkommer en tomaat op zat. Verder gewoon tevreden.

Hadden 2 grote lams shoarma besteld, helaas bakjes halfvol wel heet en lekker. Maar voor 8,95 heel erg duur per broodje, Heb toch even gebeld en wat een schatten komen toc nog even een broidje brengen super.

Vandaag pasta uit de oven met kip en champignonroomsaus, pizza met ham en champignon en tiramisu besteld. Eten was heerlijk smaakvol, pasta was nog goed warm. Pizza lauw, maar het is ook best een afstand naar Almere Haven. In de opmerkingen verzocht om extra kaas & de pizza te snijden. Dit was allemaal netjes gedaan. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar.

Goed en veel eten voor weinig geld. Pizza's zijn beter dan bij de meeste Italianen

Leuke zaak, aardige mensen. Vooral nadat je uit bent geweest. Het eten was volgensmij goed te doen, nou althans na genoeg drank.

Goede service, vriendelijk personeel, hygiënisch en verse producten.

Wij reizen met de eigenaar mee. Waar hij kookt, daar gaan wij mee! Altijd de lamskoteletten met rijst en voor mijn man de mix grill. Het gaat wel eens fout dmv een vergeten saus of een verkeerd blikje drinken, maar dat wordt altijd rechtgetrokken bij een volgende bestelling. Je bent nog niet van ons af 😂 Tot snel!

Het vlees is heerlijk je krijgt lekker veel patat/rijst. De pizza's zijn ook erg goed en de kapsalon ook. Het wordt nieuw berijdt en niet al klaar eten.
