Friendly and efficient service. Quality was fine. We only found the selection from the lunch menu a bit mediocre, but all in all, we had a nice afternoon.

Almost half of the restaurant was empty, and we asked if we could sit at one of the tables by the window. The tables were for four people, and there were only two of us, but some of them was also taken by two people. The waitress said she needed to ask her colleague first. When she came back, she showed us another table which is for five people, was high and uncomfortable to eat at, and was tucked away in a corner, almost hidden behind everything else. We found this quite disappointing, especially considering that almost half of the restaurant was empty. It would have been much nicer if we could have been seated by the window.

We had a lovely time sitting on the terrace by the water. The atmosphere is cozy, nice, and relaxed. The service is customer-friendly and helpful. However, it took an incredibly long time before we were served. The food is also affordable. Highly recommended despite the long wait!!!

Terrible service at Loetje Noorderplassen. We sat at a table for about 25 minutes without anyone coming over to us. Not to take an order, and not even to ask if we wanted anything to drink. And to be clear: it wasn't even busy. Eventually, we just got up ourselves and walked over to someone to ask how much longer it would take before we were served. Meanwhile, that person was standing there chatting quietly with a group of young people at another table. The only answer we got was: “She is taking the orders.” Fine, then you expect someone to come next. But no. The lady in question kept walking back and forth and cleaning tables, apparently without realizing that there were still guests sitting there who hadn't been able to order anything yet. After waiting for another 10 minutes or so, no one had come yet. So we just got up and left. So, in the end, we sat there for well over half an hour, had nothing to drink, ate nothing, and were completely ignored even after we had asked for attention ourselves. What makes this even more disappointing is that we were regular customers here. We really came to eat at Loetje several times a month and always enjoyed doing so. That is precisely why we absolutely did not expect to be treated this way. But after this experience, it’s over for us. With this, they have lost a regular customer who came to eat several times a month.

Lives up to its reputation as a steak restaurant; had a delicious meal! Pricey, yes, but it’s worth it once in a while. Very friendly staff and a beautiful view, but very busy, with many tables quite close together. Nevertheless, worth a return visit!

We ate at Loetje Noorderplassen Almere on a weekday evening on a beautiful, sunny terrace by the water. The schnitzel (23.50 euros) tastes fine but is served without side dishes. Including side dishes (vegetables + fries), the price is 36 euros. The poke bowl is also tasty, as are the two desserts. Beers are pricey at 5.50 euros. For two people, a main course and dessert each, plus a few drinks, results in a bill of almost 100 euros. We won't be doing that again.

Loetje is a more pleasant experience after Boathouse. Beautifully situated in Almere on the Noorderplassen, with prompt service. A few fine wines and served at a good temperature. Salad generous and beautifully presented. Steaks, beefsteak, and hamburger excellent.

We were with a large group for lunch. The food was simply good. We did have to wait a bit (too) long at times, especially for the drinks. Unfortunately, you also need to check the bill carefully. We were charged for three times too many desserts that hadn't been ordered (noted down incorrectly); we only noticed this when we got home.

I have been coming here several days a year now. And it is always lively and busy. The staff and the hostess are also always in a good mood.

Crude, rude service that only acknowledges you after 20 minutes or immediately comes to tell you that you aren't allowed to sit somewhere. It's perfectly fine if you're not allowed to sit somewhere, but there are many ways to communicate something like that. These employees are too forward and direct in their communication. No pleasant feeling and absolutely no respect for their customers. Beautiful location, wrong hospitality and staff... Once again, nothing to do in Almere. We left immediately.

Not clean, food way too salty, expensive, steak was good. 300 grams for 33 euros. The staff did their best but were understaffed. Absolutely no atmosphere. We are never going there again. It is way too expensive for what you get. Worst restaurant experience ever.

Little and incredibly salty food for a ridiculously high price. Salty meat, very salty gravy, very salty fries, and very salty mayonnaise. Disproportionate. And a shame the terrace was closed due to a shortage of staff. A big fail for us! No more Loetje!

We entered via the terrace after mooring our boat. Luckily, we still had a table available in the shade and wanted to enjoy something to eat and drink. There were three of us, including a small dog. We were looking at the menu when the waiter came over immediately with the message: "This is a table for four; you have to go to another table for two." Okay, fine, but everything was full. Only that table was right at the bottom of the water in full sun. I asked: "Can't we just stay here, because with a dog and a child in full sun and such a small table..." No, we had to leave. No alternative was offered to us, not even inside; just that or nothing. Very unfriendly too... but now that I read all the reviews here, I'm glad we didn't spend our money on you... definitely not recommended, this place!!!!

I have been to Loetje Noorderplassen often and it was always good. I went for lunch today, but absolutely everything went wrong. When I asked the waitress after sitting for half an hour if we could order, she said I shouldn't go to her, but to another colleague. When I indicated that her colleague wasn't coming, she decided to take our order. There were three of us. One person received her soup and we were told that the other dishes would take longer. Eventually, the rest arrived 20 minutes later. I had a goat cheese focaccia. When I opened the bread, there were two small pieces of goat cheese on it. And that for 15 euros! I asked for more goat cheese to be put on the bread. Dessert was also served incorrectly. Furthermore, we weren't asked how we wanted our steak cooked. All in all, the lunch was a disappointment. What a shame!!!

We ate with 4 people, all steak, 2 people had a small steak with 4 pieces of chicken liver and fried onions. €34.00 We received a plate with a lot of gravy containing a small steak. And a plate with 5 slices of bread. That was it! No fries, no vegetables, and the gravy was very salty!! We mentioned this and received a long reply, but nothing was done about it. I found the price of €177 including 4 drinks much too high considering the food. As a consolation, we received 2 free coffees. No more Loetje for us!!!

No, at Loetje you are not served “nicely,” and most certainly not with a smile as the new commercial would have you believe. We were 10 minutes late due to traffic; upon entering, there was a line, and the hostess was nowhere to be seen. When she finally returned, she told the group in front of us that they had to wait at the bar because their table wasn't ready yet. This group left because the bar was already full of people waiting. When it was finally our turn, it was 20 minutes past our reservation. The hostess snapped at us, saying that we were late and the reservation had been cancelled. That the reservation was cancelled is bad enough, but snapping at guests like that is not okay!

Is less than 1 star even possible? What terrible service! We didn't even get to eat, despite having a reservation! Unbelievable. We were snapped at for being 10 minutes late. It was due to traffic on the way, parking congestion, and waiting endlessly for our turn to make our reservation known. No, no, your reservation has been cancelled. You really are late. Well, never mind then, I don't need to eat here again.

The stay was wonderful; we could sit comfortably on the veranda and relax with food and drinks. The service was top-notch and very attentive. We will definitely come back.

Finally got to eat at Loetje. Now, my standard of living isn't exactly high, but being surrounded by smokers without ashtrays throwing their butts our way is just a bit too much. So we moved inside, and every time a waitress stood at our table with drinks we hadn't ordered. Naturally, the result was that our bill was incorrect. The only plus is that the food is good and there is nothing to complain about there. Maybe we were unlucky, but for us, this will remain a one-time dining experience at Loetje.

A great Loetje branch with all the quality that goes with it. And with a lovely view too.

We ate on the terrace on a lovely Friday. The food was truly delicious; that is not the reason for the poor score. However, the fact is that we did not feel welcome. Upon entering, we had walked through the terrace but were required to check in inside. No problem, but a simple "nice to see you" would have been nice! And the lady who showed us to our table was clearly impatient when we hesitated about whether to sit in or out of the sun. We were having a night out, so that time pressure felt really annoying. Unfortunately, Loetje chooses not to serve cappuccino with oat milk (in any of its branches), something that surprises me greatly in 2026 with all the diets out there. The staff were very busy; compliments to all the staff outside in the heat (in black synthetic clothes! Oh, poor things!). But there was no sign of anything extra. It lacked heart! We asked if the cup of coffee could be taken away (we had a very small table for all the food), but the person bringing it couldn't do that. I find it a shame that the young staff do not receive better hospitality training by seeing for themselves what is needed. It seems as if they have to follow a rigid framework and are not allowed to take initiative at Loetje; it is a real pity! Especially since the prices are above average, with all the side dishes that you have to pay for separately. It is also a shame that smoking is allowed on the terrace; that really detracts from the delicious steak. Despite the hard work of the wait staff, it was still a disappointing experience.

Last Saturday, May 16th, I made a reservation for 19:00. Upon arrival, it turned out there were no seats available. “Strange,” I said, “I made a reservation, didn’t I?” The explanation was that even though you have reserved, you might still have to wait 15/20 minutes; apparently, that is stated in your reservation details, though I hadn't noticed it. So we sat at the bar and asked for a free drink, which, however, was simply listed on the bill. Finally, at 19:25, we were able to sit down. Otherwise, the service was fine/friendly, and the food was good. But still, the reservation and the non-free drinks cast a shadow over this evening.

First time at Loetje Noorderplassen. As always at Loetje, the steak was excellent again. An added bonus here is the view of the Noorderplassen. Fantastic. The staff is also excellent.

When I hear the word Loetje, I think of steak in a pool of gravy (never actually eaten that, by the way). I didn't think you could have a great lunch there too. Highly recommended!

Bad place. You aren't allowed to eat outside when the weather is nice. You have to pay extra for fries and sauce on everything you order. And the sauce is thrown into the same container as the fries. Expensive and a bad experience!!!!

I ate at Loetje for the first time yesterday. It was a truly wonderful and enjoyable experience! We had a super friendly waitress, and the food was absolutely delicious! Definitely a place to visit again.

We had a wonderful meal, and it's located in the beautiful Noorderplassen area, so it's also a great place to enjoy a bite to eat on the outdoor terrace after a walk in the summer.

Nice place, delicious food, lovely attentive service. The steak with gravy was delicious! The carpaccio starter was delicious. The dessert (dame blanche) was wonderful. The speculoos cheesecake was very disappointing. It must have been frozen, because it was rubbery and the crust wasn't crispy. The topping was hardened and not fresh. But that's the only thing I could fault. Otherwise, a great success!

The Loetje experience was disappointing. The "red waard" consisted of two pieces of steak carefully tucked under fried onions. To avoid ruining the birthday, I kept my mouth shut. The meat was fine, but nowhere near the weight I paid for.

If there are two of you, you're put in a room somewhere in the back. There's little atmosphere in this terracotta booth. I understand that you reserve the larger tables for large groups, but then you should improve the ambiance of the rest of your restaurant. We ate, drank, and paid within half an hour. The table was cleared before we even got up; in short, this was a real factory. We went to the Noorderplassen lakes, which looks very appealing from the outside! This was on recommendation, because we were told that the city (Almere) wouldn't have much of a friendly atmosphere. So, no more Loetje in Almere for us. Or not just the two of us anymore.

The steak was excellent again. And a delicious dessert with waffle, ice cream, and sauce. 👌

The atmosphere was peaceful. We brought our dog along, had a drink, and ordered some food: a carpentry sandwich and an apple pie. The apple pie, ugh, was a ready-made cake. I then mentioned that I didn't like it, and the lady told me the kitchen had said there was nothing wrong with it; it's just your taste buds. I didn't get a discount on the dish, but I did ask for something else, but I lost interest, and the cake certainly wasn't finished. Unfortunately, I left with a disappointed look on my face.

A beautiful location. Good wine, and the Balinese steak was incredibly tender. I always order the mixed salad. For dessert, I had the chocolate trio. The lava cake was so sweet, it was almost unbearable. But the delicious steak made our day!

Delicious food. XL tenderloin steak from De Rode Waard. Extra fries, sweet potato fries, and mushrooms. Incredibly delicious. Great service. They had a lovely little corner. The children running around were greeted with a smile! All in all, definitely reasons for a return visit.

Loetje is Loetje, but this is a special, extremely beautiful place, with exceptionally smooth and friendly staff.
