We ate on the terrace on a lovely Friday. The food was truly delicious; that is not the reason for the poor score. However, the fact is that we did not feel welcome. Upon entering, we had walked through the terrace but were required to check in inside. No problem, but a simple "nice to see you" would have been nice! And the lady who showed us to our table was clearly impatient when we hesitated about whether to sit in or out of the sun. We were having a night out, so that time pressure felt really annoying. Unfortunately, Loetje chooses not to serve cappuccino with oat milk (in any of its branches), something that surprises me greatly in 2026 with all the diets out there. The staff were very busy; compliments to all the staff outside in the heat (in black synthetic clothes! Oh, poor things!). But there was no sign of anything extra. It lacked heart! We asked if the cup of coffee could be taken away (we had a very small table for all the food), but the person bringing it couldn't do that. I find it a shame that the young staff do not receive better hospitality training by seeing for themselves what is needed. It seems as if they have to follow a rigid framework and are not allowed to take initiative at Loetje; it is a real pity! Especially since the prices are above average, with all the side dishes that you have to pay for separately. It is also a shame that smoking is allowed on the terrace; that really detracts from the delicious steak. Despite the hard work of the wait staff, it was still a disappointing experience.

Last Saturday, May 16th, I made a reservation for 19:00. Upon arrival, it turned out there were no seats available. “Strange,” I said, “I made a reservation, didn’t I?” The explanation was that even though you have reserved, you might still have to wait 15/20 minutes; apparently, that is stated in your reservation details, though I hadn't noticed it. So we sat at the bar and asked for a free drink, which, however, was simply listed on the bill. Finally, at 19:25, we were able to sit down. Otherwise, the service was fine/friendly, and the food was good. But still, the reservation and the non-free drinks cast a shadow over this evening.

First time at Loetje Noorderplassen. As always at Loetje, the steak was excellent again. An added bonus here is the view of the Noorderplassen. Fantastic. The staff is also excellent.

Cozy atmosphere. For lunch, there is a wide selection of different sandwiches. Prices are average. Friendly staff and prompt service. When I hear the word Loetje, I think of steak in a pool of gravy (never actually eaten that, by the way). I didn't think you could have a great lunch there too. Highly recommended!

Bad place. You aren't allowed to eat outside when the weather is nice. You have to pay extra for fries and sauce on everything you order. And the sauce is thrown into the same container as the fries. Expensive and a bad experience!!!!

I ate at Loetje for the first time yesterday. It was a truly wonderful and enjoyable experience! We had a super friendly waitress, and the food was absolutely delicious! Definitely a place to visit again.

We had a wonderful meal, and it's located in the beautiful Noorderplassen area, so it's also a great place to enjoy a bite to eat on the outdoor terrace after a walk in the summer.

Nice place, delicious food, lovely attentive service. The steak with gravy was delicious! The carpaccio starter was delicious. The dessert (dame blanche) was wonderful. The speculoos cheesecake was very disappointing. It must have been frozen, because it was rubbery and the crust wasn't crispy. The topping was hardened and not fresh. But that's the only thing I could fault. Otherwise, a great success!

The Loetje experience was disappointing. The "red waard" consisted of two pieces of steak carefully tucked under fried onions. To avoid ruining the birthday, I kept my mouth shut. The meat was fine, but nowhere near the weight I paid for.

If there are two of you, you're put in a room somewhere in the back. There's little atmosphere in this terracotta booth. I understand that you reserve the larger tables for large groups, but then you should improve the ambiance of the rest of your restaurant. We ate, drank, and paid within half an hour. The table was cleared before we even got up; in short, this was a real factory. We went to the Noorderplassen lakes, which looks very appealing from the outside! This was on recommendation, because we were told that the city (Almere) wouldn't have much of a friendly atmosphere. So, no more Loetje in Almere for us. Or not just the two of us anymore.

The atmosphere was peaceful. We brought our dog along, had a drink, and ordered some food: a carpentry sandwich and an apple pie. The apple pie, ugh, was a ready-made cake. I then mentioned that I didn't like it, and the lady told me the kitchen had said there was nothing wrong with it; it's just your taste buds. I didn't get a discount on the dish, but I did ask for something else, but I lost interest, and the cake certainly wasn't finished. Unfortunately, I left with a disappointed look on my face.

A beautiful location. Good wine, and the Balinese steak was incredibly tender. I always order the mixed salad. For dessert, I had the chocolate trio. The lava cake was so sweet, it was almost unbearable. But the delicious steak made our day!

We were here for the introduction of the candidate members for 55plus Almere. Everything was tip top with very friendly service.

Delicious food. XL tenderloin steak from De Rode Waard. Extra fries, sweet potato fries, and mushrooms. Incredibly delicious. Great service. They had a lovely little corner. The children running around were greeted with a smile! All in all, definitely reasons for a return visit.

Loetje is Loetje, but this is a special, extremely beautiful place, with exceptionally smooth and friendly staff.

We took a lovely walk and then had dinner at Loetje. The staff was very friendly, especially towards the children. The mussels with Balinese sauce were truly delicious.

Booked at 4:45 PM. We were given a table right in front of the kitchen on the aisle, which was far too noisy for our baby and also made it difficult to position the stroller comfortably. We asked for another table (there were plenty of free ones), but they said none were available. We left immediately. Very disappointing!

Always a lovely place to sit, with a beautiful view over the water. While Loetje is known for its meat, there's surprisingly enough also plenty of delicious options for non-meat eaters. The vegetarian dishes are well-balanced, fresh, and carefully prepared. We love coming here to enjoy a glass of Bread & Butter Chardonnay – truly delicious, smooth, and full of flavor, perfect with our food. The service is friendly and attentive, the atmosphere relaxed yet stylish. Whether you come for a waterfront dinner or drinks at sunset, Loetje Noorderplassen never disappoints. 🍷✨

We had a nice dinner here, 3rd visit. They have beautiful views over the water and a very cozy interior. The steak is delicious and also the chicken sate was very tasty. Staff are friendly and pretty quick despite a large amount of tables.

At Loetje, the focus is on the meat dish. The tenderloin is fantastically tender. Available in three sizes and three flavors. As a side dish, there are fries or simple slices of white bread. Just straight forward.

We made an appointment for lunch for 5 people at Sunday 19/10/2025 specific for 13:30 approximately and our motivation for this booking was the nice view that this place offers near by the lake. Arrived at the place earlier than 13:30 and they inform us that we are late 🤔. We ask why they think we are late? Because we make a booking for 13:30!! They replied to us that the booking was been made for 13:15 and probably something went wrong with the colleague who made the reservation. Afterwords they told us that is not possible to have a table for 5 with a view to the water and they can do this only for 4...... So as you realise the problem is to add 1 more chair to the already existing free table for 4. Conclusion: awful service, cocky staff and we lost 3 hours back and forward of our lunch-evening to drive all the way to Amsterdam for the same restaurant, don't even do the effort to book something there, doesn't worth it...Final conclusion : We was targeting for a nice relaxed and chill lunch-evening with no rush and this didn't happen.... I think it's a bit shame and put some shadow to the brand for no reason, bad reputation for no reason with good food at the same time. Kind regards, Dimitrios Oikonomou.

A beautiful spot on the Noorderplassen lakes, with stunning views of the water. The welcome is warm and friendly. The ambiance is truly fantastic, and the food was delicious!

Very tasty food, nice location and not too noisy.

We made a reservation during our vacation, so we arrived at Loetje's place right on time on Saturday. It turned out we didn't have a reservation... hmmm, when we checked our email, we'd mistakenly made a reservation for Friday. Instead of saying, "You weren't here on Friday," they said, "If you could wait at the bar for a bit, we'll have a table in half an hour." Which we thought was great. Daevon and the other staff served us well and were friendly. We had a delicious meal, and we'll definitely be back!

The service wasn't what you'd expect from such a restaurant. The food was delicious. Nothing to complain about, but given the atmosphere, it was a real shame. I won't be back.

The food was fine, but the seating was terrible. It was right at the entrance to the kitchen/clearing station, with no door between the restaurant and the kitchen. You're looking into bright light, the noise of clinking plates and cutlery makes it impossible to follow a conversation, and the constant back-and-forth of staff carrying plates. That table needs to be removed; you can't sit there in peace!

I have eaten at this Loetje several times, the quality is excellent and the staff is always polite and friendly.

The food was delicious tonight. After we finished our main course, the staff asked if we wanted dessert. We asked for the menu twice, but it still hadn't arrived. After a while, we asked for the bill, which thankfully arrived quickly.

You can never go wrong at Loetje! Aside from the plain white sandwiches, it's always good quality.

This Loetje isn't what it used to be. Too many tables crammed into the space, and the menu has been drastically reduced. One of our steaks was far too rare, and the other was overcooked. We complained, and they took a small discount off the price, but our evening was somewhat spoiled. We won't be going back.

I probably don't need to write anything more about the delicious food at Loetje, but this place... wow, a beautiful, atmospheric location on a large body of water. Lovely terrace, boat watching... amazing!!!

A beautiful, spacious location. No reservations were needed, but there was plenty of room for four people. A very friendly welcome and cheerful service. We enjoyed a delicious meal, followed by a wonderful dessert. Highly recommended to visit this Loetje, situated in a beautiful location overlooking the Noorderplassen lakes.

A real Loetje; fast service, good food, reasonable prices.

The food was delicious. There was a lot of background noise, though. It was difficult to have a conversation and understand each other.

Of course, we had the steak, which was delicious. The appetizers were also delicious. The sauvignon blanc was great! The staff was friendly, and there's plenty of parking. The only thing I didn't like: We were seated in a smaller part of the restaurant, and when it was fully booked, it was very noisy and you could barely hear each other. There are also several nice little round rooms, and it was less noisy in most of them. And make sure you have plenty of money, because besides the steak, you have to order everything separately. Nevertheless, we will definitely be back!

We had lunch here on Sunday, September 24th. A very kind woman served us. Our lunch dishes were a bit salty, but what really annoyed me was that the fresh orange juice was straight from a carton. When I commented on that, I was told that the orange juice was filtered...! So I won't be getting a glass here again, because what you get tastes like cheap orange juice. Unfortunately, the kind woman couldn't help us. She had been instructed to tell us that.

Sat on the terrace in the sunshine, beautifully situated by the water. Delicious food, good service. Friendly and tidy.

Today we had a delicious lunch at Loetje Almere Noorderplassen, and the Loetje Specials on the menu are especially recommended. The very friendly welcome and fast service make this cozy restaurant highly recommended. We had a breathtaking view of the lake. It was truly wonderful. Thank you also from my wife, and we'll see you soon. We'll definitely be back after a bike ride through the beautiful Noorderplassen nature reserve, the icing on the cake.

A wonderful meal in a beautiful location, especially when the weather is nice. I was a bit surprised by the number of people who come here. People were talking on the speakerphone at length in the evenings, even though it was incredibly busy. Everyone could enjoy the conversation. Very special. Other than that, the food was excellent and the staff were friendly.

You can hardly miss a steak, I regularly eat at Loetje and except for one time (which was neatly resolved in the restaurant) the meat has been top notch!

The steak "Bali" was deliciously spicy and very good. The location and atmosphere were relaxed. However, I found the presentation of the dishes a bit lacking. The staff is friendly and the service is prompt.

That does indeed sound like a rather strange and unfriendly experience for customers. If you order six cups of tea and only get half a glass of hot water each time, it quickly feels like they're deliberately skimping on something that's normally served generously. The employee's comment ("It takes a lot of energy, so you'll have to order more") makes it even more awkward, because it puts the customer in the position of either paying for more water or settling for less. Hospitality is often about hospitality—and with tea, it's customary to get a full glass or even a pitcher, so you don't have to keep asking.

The food was incredibly delicious and the service was professional. A big plus for the entire team's service, and Lara was there to answer any questions about the food. I'd love to dine here again.

As a former employee, my experiences at Loetje Noorderplassen weren't always positive. They decided I didn't meet their expectations. I wasn't treated kindly either, especially by Nichole. But when I returned as a customer a year later, I noticed the service had deteriorated. Karma is sweet.

Since the weather wasn't so good, we ate inside. The restaurant was busy, and we were seated near the kitchen entrance. It was very loud and noisy there. Conversation was difficult because it was quite loud in the dining room. However, you do have a beautiful view of the water and you feel quite comfortable. The staff was also approachable and very friendly, and everything went flawlessly and smoothly. We were all very satisfied with our chosen dishes. However, I found a large 0.5L beer for almost €8 to be quite steep.

The chicken burger wasn't good; it had a thin layer of chicken on it. The staff responded well, apologizing and offering something else. I opted for the chicken satay, but unfortunately, it was somewhat bland. The peanut sauce was definitely needed.

Great food and delicious food, you can also enjoy a meal or drink outside. Highly recommended!
