October 13, 2017. We have here in restaurant De Noorderpoort in Harlingen. delicious lunch; my husband a large plate of chowder and I a delicious carpaccio sandwich. Both dishes were very tasty, well filled and beautifully presented.

Voorstraat 12We had high expectations due to the beautiful decor of the restaurant and the friendly staff. Unfortunately, the mustard soup was far too salty. The sauce with the fish was cold and the fish was not house-cooked. The satay was also very salty. On the plate was a small bowl of rice with some green beans on top. The small bowl was dirty with peanut sauce and therefore could not be placed on the table. The plates were sloppily and awkwardly full.
