Great place! Always good. Highly recommended.

Nice café, friendly service. The food was generally good, but unfortunately, the burger meat was completely raw after the first two bites. Therefore, only 3 points for the food. I couldn't resist eating.

The staff was gentle and kind and accommodated a large group of us in a busy evening. They have gluten free bread options.

Made a spontaneous visit to Harlingen today and enjoyed lunch with a friend at De Reus. Super friendly staff and a fantastic fried egg sandwich that I couldn't finish. The girl who served us was very friendly, and when we got to the checkout, the nicest man I've ever seen! Bas, the staff member ;-)! Definitely worth coming back!

Everything was perfect. A delicious bread platter with a large, freshly baked bread with pesto, herb butter, and grated garlic. The veal ribeye, a weekly special, and the Black Angus steak were also delicious. For dessert, a crème brûlée with raspberry ice cream. A completely satisfied feeling! We had a wonderful meal at Grand Café De Reus in Harlingen! The mussels were fresh and flavorful, highly recommended. The veal entrecote was also perfectly prepared – tender and full of flavor. The service was friendly and the atmosphere relaxed and cozy. Definitely a place to return!

Had a lovely lunch. First, we had some delicious coffee. Then we ate: toasted sandwiches, croquettes, and loaded fries. Delicious and well-made. Friendly and polite service. Nice decor.

I ate at De Reiger this afternoon. It was comfortable, but the carpaccio I ordered was like a painting. So much was dumped on it that it was inedible. That makes the classic carpaccio sandwich tasteless, because the most important thing, the truffle mayonnaise, was forgotten. Otherwise, the service was good, but when K wanted a drink, it took ages. Overall, I would recommend it. No, there are more places like this on the streets.

Dieses Restaurant muss man besuchen! Die Bedienung, das Ambiente d vor allem das Essen - einfach Spotze!! Deze risotto was beter dan bij veel Italiaanse restaurants!!!!! Wordt opgenomen in mijn beoordeling op TripAdvisor......

Not really a success for children.

Onlangs daar (al)weer eens gaan eten. Eten was als altijd heerlijk en de bediening top. Werden geholpen door Amber, een gezellige meid, lekker relaxed en in voor een geintje. Hou ervan. Dus al met al weer genoten. Gr Martin

A cozy restaurant in Harlingen. I ate the best mussels of my life here. Such a rich broth, plus toast, sauce, and fries, which I couldn't even eat because of the large portion of mussels. Despite the tourist orientation, the service was very friendly, and the restaurant was mostly Dutch. Highly recommended.

We waren er op vakantie en waren blij verrast. Gewoon een gezellige tent en modern ingericht. Het allerbelangrijkste: Fantastische bediening en heerlijk eten. Top- restaurant

Reserved early because we came to eat with young children. The serving took an awfully long time, we didn't get any more drinks, after 3 hours we just left without dessert. Very unfortunate. Maybe an option to work with a QR code or something. So that you can order at your own pace, and pay immediately. Then all that needs to be done is serving. Also, questions about which ingredients were in a dish, could not be answered, because everything is prepared in advance.

Amazing.☆☆☆☆☆. 5 sterren restaurant als je het ons vraagt, Ons 25 jarig huwelijks jubileum in dit restaurant gevierd en zoals gewoonlijk was het eten en service weer op en top heerlijk. De service was ook geweldig en ook complimenten voor de kok. Super gerechten geserveerd, het vlees was ook om te smullen. De uitgenodigde gasten waren vol lof en gaven ook complimenten hoe dit restaurant het had geregeld mbt de versiering e.d. Nogmaals het was weer geweldig

Wederom heerlijk gegeten, vriendelijk en opmerkzaam personeel en eigenlijk is alles TOP, zelfs op een drukke vrijdagavond;-) Tot een volgende keer

Perfect cafe' to have a drink, sit and talk, have a bite to eat or have a complete meal. We had dinner, recommending Snitzel or Cannelloni, both were excellent meals. The desserts looked delish, but was to full to try any. They have a full bar for desired drinks. Seating is comfortable and ambiance is peaceful. May go back to taste other meals. Harlingen is a nice quaint town and walk is easy to get from place to place, or stroll around and see the architecture. Highly Recommended!

Heerlijk gegeten, prettige sfeer en prima bediening . Het was voor ons gezin van 4 personen een leuke avond met heerlijke gerechten.

I had halibut from the chef and I can certainly recommend it as well as the garlic mushrooms as a starter, but actually everything on the menu is just good (ok we didn't try everything but we were with 6 people, different dishes and everyone enjoyed it).

Bediening prima en attent. Menu: mijn vrouw Heilbot, te zacht, had iets korter op hoger vuur gebakken moeten worden, garnaal saus uitstekend. Ik had de Big Hamburger, topping kaas en spek te lang gebakken, onder de hamburger een onduidelijk weinig smakend koolsla? Al met al redelijk. Nagerecht Frenche coffee en een koffie zwart, prima. Zal helaas niet direct op ons lijstje om snel weer terug te komen staan

Goede sfeer door oa aankleding/ ronde tafels. Vriendelijke bediening, die meedenkt. Lekker eten, voldoende keuze. Goede prijs- kwaliteit.

Goed eten en een gezellig ruimte. Het was maar goed dat we gereserveerd hadden want het was erg druk. Vriendelijk personeel en de prijs viel ons alles mee.

Wat hebben we een gezellige Valentijn gehad. Het speciale menu was royaal aan keuze , porties en smaken. De aankleding helemaal in thema, helemaal leuk. Medewerkers met hart voor de zaak en de gasten , met allemaal een lach om het gezicht en schouders eronder, de tent zat vol. En natuurlijk de gezellige klanken van Dicky Power als muzikale omlijsting. wij hebben genoten.dank jullie wel:-)

Eindelijk een keer echt super gegeten op 1e kerstdag, na jaren bij andere locale restaurants te hebben gegeten , en waarvan ik al een jaar vantevoren in mijn agenda heb staan om daar niet te eten kwamen we nu uit bij de Reus. En het eten was voortreffelijk, goede bediening, normale wachttijd ondanks de drukte . Eeen ware compliment voor het team. Het eten (spareribs) was heerlijk bereid, de friet ook zoals het hoort , de andere gerechten zagen er ook keurig uit. Bedankt., en complimenten.

Bij Grandcafé De Reus kun je uitstekend eten voor een redelijke prijs! Goede sfeer en zeer aardige medewerkers. Een aanwinst voor de horeca Harlingen!

Heb samen met mijn dochter een high tea gedaan .Alles wat we kregen aan hapjes was geweldig. Mooi gepresenteerd en veel variatie en ook veel.Beste high tea tot nu en vriendelijk personeel.

Hier met vrienden uit Duitsland wezen eten. Vooraf een plank met verschillende gerechten aan proeverijen, een aanrader. Het eten was ook heerlijk en ruim voldoende. Ben hier vaker geweest, maar dit was echt top. Een aanrader, ga zo door zou ik zeggen. We komen zeker weer terug.

We hebben heerlijk gegeten. Zelfs het broodplankje vooraf was een verassing. Bediening was top. Alleen een hoofdgerecht genuttigd. Was genoeg voordat we aan boord gingen bij een van de schepen van de bruine vloot.

Gezellige, ontspannen atmosfeer. Attente, vlotte bediening. Eten prima. Behoorlijke porties; had wat mij betreft wel wat zuiniger gemogen; nu kon er geen toetje meer bij. Kom vast wel weer eens. Keuze voor de vegetarieër had wel wat ruimer gemogen.

Today I ordered a Club sandwich (together with the club sandwich from Restaurant van Bleiswijk from Enkhuizen), the NR1 in the Netherlands, with mustard soup. My partner had a carpaccio sandwich and a beef croquette sandwich with mushroom soup. Everything far above average. In terms of coffee, Peeze coffee can teach them something. They didn't have coffee Americano. After explanation, a reasonably good Americano was served. Very well resolved.

Prettige ontvangst, tafel stond klaar, vlotte bediening. Voor- en hoofdgerechten allemaal goed. Ruime keuze uit bier en wijn, ook alcoholvrij. Prachtig servies en gezellige sfeer die bijdraagt aan de ervaring. Ik kan iedereen aanraden hier eens een hapje te gaan eten. Voor de vegetariërs mag de keuze nog wel wat worden uitgebreid.

Ik had gereserveerd . Zeker nodig. Warm welkom. Broodje vooraf, was weer net even anders dan anders. Voor de olie, zou ik een tuutje op het blikje zetten. Lekt nogal met schenken, kan je nog beter de hoeveelheid regelen. Extra drinken werd regelmatig gevraagd. Hoofdgerecht zag er prachtig uit. Gebakken aardappelen kon alleen extra helaas, niet in plaats van. Hierdoor was het erg veel. Extra erbij rabarber compote. Ook erg lekker en fris. Er is een klein trapje. Hiervoor is er voor nood een rijplank, welke gebruikt kan worden. Alles top geregeld. Er is ook een buiten terras.

Gezellige avond gehad in dit café. Het eten smaakte heerlijk en had goede proporties. Het was jammer dat de bediening niet veel oog voor ons had, je kon merken dat ze het te druk hadden (ook al zat het restaurant/terras niet vol) en geen interesse in ons toonden (hoe smaakt het? Wil u nog wat drinken? Etc.) Hierdoor hebben wij ervoor gekozen om een koffie en een ijsje ergens anders te gaan halen.

Heerlijk gegeten, zeebaars, biefstuk en wraps alles was super! Erg mooi opgediend, gezellige sfeer en super vriendelijke bediening door Stefan!👍

Dit grabdcafé doet zijn naam eer aan; we hebben met 6-en in de binnentuin gezeten ( was soms beetje winderig) Genoten van heerlijke gerechten die REUSACHTIG veel / groot waren. Geen van ons allen heeft alles op kunnen eten. Goede menukaart en vriendelijke, gastvrije bediening. Voor de (grote) eter, zeker een aanrader!!

Wat n prachtige plek met n relaxte sfeer. Bedienend personeel was vriendelijk en alert. De maaltijd was fantastisch. We komen regelmatig en blijven dat ook zeer zeker doen

Lovely atmosphere, very sympathetic staff, delicious food. If available try the traditional mussels fresh from Zeeuws Vlaanderen!

Lekker en ongecompliceerd, wij waren ook snel bediend. Lijkt mij ook de bedoeling van een eetcafé. Daarnaast prijs-kwaliteit dik in orde. Is zeker een aanrader.

Gezellige warme sfeer, leuke overzichtelijke kaart en goede porties. Gerechten snel op tafel. Medewerkers goedlachs en stralen plezier uit. 1 kleine noot , we zaten in een hoekje waar de akoestiek vrij heftig was. We konden elkaar aan tafel eigenlijk niet verstaan.

Gentleman food in a pleasantly busy atmosphere

Spontaneous visit, we had to wait for the ferry service. A warm welcome and a special kids menu for the children, more extensive than just fries and pancakes. Chicken thigh satay and (rare) steak, both very tasty and good portions. Combined with friendly staff who come by several times, a pleasant experience. A bit pricey, but which restaurant isn't that expensive these days.

At Grandcafé de Reus. Enjoyed a delicious drink. The Grandcafé has a quiet ambiance. You can sit here and talk. The employees of Grandcafé are friendly and hospitable.

We walked here because of the good reviews and photos. But what a disappointment! Service was clearly not having its day. We arrived at 4:15 PM and got the lunch menu. Fine, but we wanted a drink with such a beautiful platter as in the photos. “No drinks board? We don't have that.” (period) “oh? but something to garnish?” “Yes we have.” Okay fine, no further complaints, appetizers were fine with various snacks. Aperol was tasty too. But 10 minutes later, another table receives a beautiful large platter, and another table receives a delicious-looking Nacho dish with cheese. That's not on the menu we received and we asked, right? Okay then, I don't feel like waiting for the dinner menu anymore and we went to eat somewhere else... if you want to have a drink here, show the service the photos and maybe they will understand you... 🤔

We came for a drink but the smells from the kitchen were so nice that we decided to have dinner anyway. What a great chef, everything that comes to the table is carefully taken care of. We will definitely come back!
