The food was mostly fine, except for the fried potatoes, which were very mediocre. The dog also got a bowl of water. But €9.50 for a half-liter of Skuumkoppe beer seems to be normal in the hospitality industry these days, but of course it isn't.

Service is quick and friendly. The food is tasty. We had spareribs and mixed grill. Worth recommending. 👍🏻

We came for dinner as a couple. The restaurant was very busy, and it was quite noisy in the dining room. The owners should consider soundproofing measures. However, we were more than compensated: very attentive and friendly service, and a truly excellent meal. The prices were also reasonable – therefore, definitely 5 stars. Our visit will remain a fond memory.

We ate there tonight with my husband. We both had a main course, and it was more than generous! I had a dish with scampi and stopped counting after I counted 12 of those little rascals (all peeled). The dish was deliciously seasoned and beautifully presented. My husband had chicken thigh satay and he was very satisfied too; we really enjoyed our meal, with a lovely wine to go with it for a good price. We will definitely be back. And of course, the service was incredibly friendly. Someone at another table dropped cutlery and before the man could even ask, a waiter came over with fresh cutlery and wished him a tasty meal. I am truly a very satisfied customer!!!

Last year we had a super deluxe high tea here. We repeated it today, but it was one big fiasco. We had to wait an hour before we got 2 bottles of water, then 2 pots of hot tea, and only fifteen minutes after asking did we get the tea bags, sugar, milk, etc. Another half hour later came the savory platter, which was fine. At least another hour later came the sweet platter; we were a party of 6 and received 2 scoops of ice cream, 1 meringue ball, 2 pieces of MonChou, 3 small glasses of strained yogurt, 2 wedges of quark, and a few peanut brittle pieces. I got the impression that whatever was left over had been put on it instead of having a little bit of everything six times. All in all, it was a huge disappointment....

The food (rendang & sea bass) was delicious and plentiful. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We would love to come back.

A very pleasant setting for lunch, dinner, or parties. I've had the pleasure of experiencing all of this a few times, both with friends and alone. It has a truly relaxed, homey atmosphere with good, fast service. The food and drinks are also delicious. We (I) would love to come back.

We had dinner at Grandcafe de Reus last night. We made a reservation in the afternoon via their website, which worked perfectly. We would recommend making a reservation to everyone. We were greeted warmly and shown to our table. After a short while, a young woman brought us the chef's recommendation and the menu. My wife had a delicious avocado burger, and I had a medium-rare black angus beef ribeye, and everything was excellent. The service was attentive and friendly throughout. The prices were reasonable. Therefore, we highly recommend Grandcafe de Reus.

On a Saturday evening in the first week of January, we dined with two people after making a reservation. We love being challenged by a menu. Experimenting with local ingredients was unfortunately lacking here. Don't get us wrong: it wasn't bad at all, but it was also completely unnecessary.

We were at Café De Reus in Harlingen. I had a latte macchiato, and we also had pastries. The lady was very friendly and spoke quietly with us, which was nice because we're deaf. The pastries and coffee were delicious. We enjoyed it!

The two of us had a wonderful evening enjoying tender satay and steak. The service was excellent and friendly. 😊 We're here for the second time and will definitely be back. 😋

The tables are on top of each other and when it's busy you just sit on your neighbor's lap, the food is reasonable but not special, this whole concept is based on pushing everything full and making money as quickly as possible, a real shame about your evening

We had lunch in Harlingen this afternoon, and De Reus looked cozy. Inside, it was just as inviting. I had the club sandwich, and it was delicious. Along with a beer from Harlingen, which proved to be a good combination, it made for a lovely lunch.

We had dinner at de Reus today. A nice restaurant with a chic ambiance, clean surroundings, and delicious food. The service was also courteous, quick, and efficient. We would come again.

Soup delicious. Main course likewise. Beer was great. Ambiance lovely, very cosy. Main course took a little longer to come than expected but not really a problem. 4 stars only because it was fairly expensive. It was certainly worth the money but still on the expensive side. Would give 4 and a half stars ideally. Thank you for a lovely evening.

The girl who served us was very friendly, and when we got to the checkout, the nicest man I've ever seen! Bas, the staff member ;-)! Definitely worth coming back!

Everything was perfect. A delicious bread platter with a large, freshly baked bread with pesto, herb butter, and grated garlic. The veal ribeye, a weekly special, and the Black Angus steak were also delicious. For dessert, a crème brûlée with raspberry ice cream. A completely satisfied feeling! We had a wonderful meal at Grand Café De Reus in Harlingen! The mussels were fresh and flavorful, highly recommended. The veal entrecote was also perfectly prepared – tender and full of flavor. The service was friendly and the atmosphere relaxed and cozy. Definitely a place to return!

I ate at De Reiger this afternoon. It was comfortable, but the carpaccio I ordered was like a painting. So much was dumped on it that it was inedible. That makes the classic carpaccio sandwich tasteless, because the most important thing, the truffle mayonnaise, was forgotten. Otherwise, the service was good, but when K wanted a drink, it took ages. Overall, I would recommend it. No, there are more places like this on the streets.

A cozy restaurant in Harlingen. I ate the best mussels of my life here. Such a rich broth, plus toast, sauce, and fries, which I couldn't even eat because of the large portion of mussels. Despite the tourist orientation, the service was very friendly, and the restaurant was mostly Dutch. Highly recommended.

Reserved early because we came to eat with young children. The serving took an awfully long time, we didn't get any more drinks, after 3 hours we just left without dessert. Very unfortunate. Maybe an option to work with a QR code or something. So that you can order at your own pace, and pay immediately. Then all that needs to be done is serving. Also, questions about which ingredients were in a dish, could not be answered, because everything is prepared in advance.

De service was ook geweldig en ook complimenten voor de kok. Super gerechten geserveerd, het vlees was ook om te smullen. De uitgenodigde gasten waren vol lof en gaven ook complimenten hoe dit restaurant het had geregeld mbt de versiering e.d. Nogmaals het was weer geweldig

Perfect cafe' to have a drink, sit and talk, have a bite to eat or have a complete meal. We had dinner, recommending Snitzel or Cannelloni, both were excellent meals. The desserts looked delish, but was to full to try any. They have a full bar for desired drinks. Seating is comfortable and ambiance is peaceful. May go back to taste other meals. Harlingen is a nice quaint town and walk is easy to get from place to place, or stroll around and see the architecture. Highly Recommended!

I had halibut from the chef and I can certainly recommend it as well as the garlic mushrooms as a starter, but actually everything on the menu is just good (ok we didn't try everything but we were with 6 people, different dishes and everyone enjoyed it).

Bediening prima en attent. Menu: mijn vrouw Heilbot, te zacht, had iets korter op hoger vuur gebakken moeten worden, garnaal saus uitstekend. Ik had de Big Hamburger, topping kaas en spek te lang gebakken, onder de hamburger een onduidelijk weinig smakend koolsla? Al met al redelijk. Nagerecht Frenche coffee en een koffie zwart, prima. Zal helaas niet direct op ons lijstje om snel weer terug te komen staan

Goede sfeer door oa aankleding/ ronde tafels. Vriendelijke bediening, die meedenkt. Lekker eten, voldoende keuze. Goede prijs- kwaliteit.

Hier met vrienden uit Duitsland wezen eten. Vooraf een plank met verschillende gerechten aan proeverijen, een aanrader. Het eten was ook heerlijk en ruim voldoende. Ben hier vaker geweest, maar dit was echt top. Een aanrader, ga zo door zou ik zeggen. We komen zeker weer terug.
