Hidden in the heart of Egmond aan Zee is a true gem. Wow, what an incredible restaurant this is, offering 2-, 3-, 4-, and 5-course menus with perfectly matched wines. Price-quality at its finest! Superb!! We enjoyed a 5-course meal here, and Brass Kaatje surprised and spoiled us in an unprecedented way. Wesley, who has been the 100% owner since January, has everything perfectly organized, both in front of the restaurant and behind the scenes (assisting the chef where needed). The dishes are all so refined, elegant, and unique that I haven't tasted them in a very long time. We're completely sold on your restaurant, its decor, and the entire concept! If you're looking for a delicious meal in Egmond aan Zee, there's only one restaurant, and that's Brass Kaatje. The food is fantastic, the staff is too, and the atmosphere perfectly suits the concept.

I didn't eat myself, but some of the group did. Everything looked perfectly prepared. A clear explanation of what was on the plate. And fast, but extremely friendly service.

The toasted sandwiches and croquettes were fine, but there's little to fault. The staff (Dutch) are more focused on themselves than on the customers. We had to ask if we could order food. The food had been ready for minutes but wasn't brought. The menu is very limited. Not recommended!

Delicious food. The surprise menu. Meat for the gentleman, fish for the lady and a super delicious dessert. Service was very good and pleasant and the atmosphere was also good. What was unfortunate for the restaurant was that there were hardly any other guests. So people: sit there, drink, eat!

A wonderful experience! We opted for the 3-course menu, which had unusual components in both the fish and meat courses that were convincing! I will probably never forget the Brussels sprout chip à la Kroepoek. Incredibly friendly and warm-hearted: The service - we immediately felt very comfortable! Super gezellig van begin tot eind van onze dagen. Voor de verjaardag van mijn man Ben waren we 3 dagen in Egmond aan Zee. Onze bezoek aan Kaatje waren, zo had ik al eerder ervaren, een succes vol gezellig en feestelijke aankleding 🎉🎉 VW staat voor VolksWagen, maar ook voor VakWerk. Bij Kaatje staat VW voor Vincent en Wesley, dit team is ijzersterk.

Ambience "only" got 4 stars because it is in the city center and there are nicer places in Egmond. But we will go there again. Good service and good food just works. The restaurant is also nicely done, but we like to sit outside.

Wir waren gestern Abend im Restaurant Brass Kaatje essen und waren begeistert! Das Restaurant ist toll eingerichtet und hat eine schöne Atmosphäre. Der Service war stets aufmerksam und besonders freundlich. Das Highlight jedoch war das Essen. Wir hatten ein drei Gänge Menü, bei welchem ein Gang besser als der andere war - wirklich fantastisch!

You have to pay extra for everything: piece of bread (4 euros extra), fries, lettuce leaf. Expensive for what it is. Very good kitchen. We 'accidentally' received a bill for 67 euros more, dishes from the menu were double charged. Fortunately, it was seen and corrected.

Ate here yesterday there was nothing to criticize about the food (it is certainly not a tour de force) but we were quite shocked by the bill. There is a large sign in front of the terrace: 2 courses €29.00, 3 courses €39.00. I had a 2 course I knew that there was an additional charge of €15.00 for a sole, but an additional charge of €2.50 was also charged for the starters, ok no problem but then they go for a small bowl of fries and a small plate with a few pieces of lettuce also €10.00 for math. The drinks are also quite expensive, for example half a liter of beer €10.00! You don't even pay this amount at an A location in Amsterdam! The two of us spent €147.50. For this amount, what we got for this is a ridiculous price! 1x never again! The positive reviews most likely ate there via Social Deal. The price/quality is completely out of proportion!

Ate here yesterday. In one word AMAZING! We had a four course menu. All courses were very tasty and beautifully presented. True works of art. Full, deep flavors, very original composition. We will definitely come back here again.

The wine selection is excellent and the staff's recommendations for the right wine have always been top. Definitely recommended, especially if you fancy very good cuisine and not always usual dishes (spare ribs, burgers, chicken satay, etc.). The multi-course menu is also highly recommended.

We visited this restaurant on a Friday evening. Nice decor and friendly, hospitable and hardworking staff. It was unexpectedly 'full house' but everything was under control by both men. We enjoyed a 6 course dinner. And the matching wine arrangement. Good explanation about the dish and wine with each course. All in all we had a fantastic evening. Highly recommended!

Cozy and tasteful ambiance. Good service. NOT SUITABLE FOR VEGETARIANS. Vega salmon was unimaginative and tasted of nothing. The sauce made it a little more acceptable. Main course fried celeriac hidden under a thick layer of sauce-like stuff. Taste was ok, but quantity was more like a starter. Ordered extra fries to still get something. Dessert tasty but also very little.. coffee great. Price quality no higher score than a 2. Far too pricey for quality and quantity.

The menu outside the door lists a choice of a 3, 4 or 5 course menu with prices. This was the reason for us to come in here and be surprised. We opted for the 5-course menu without supplement and we were very pleasantly surprised. They allowed us to enjoy a very balanced menu, with excellent tasting dishes and they told us that the menu was updated approximately weekly. We opted for wine by the glass because I wanted to drink a red one and my wife a white one. You could also choose from different types by the glass. So completely well organised. Each course was explained in detail about what you were presented with. In short, if we are in Egmond aan Zee again, we will definitely come back here.

We were unpleasantly surprised in terms of the prices of drinks: €12 per glass for a glass of bubbles beforehand. Finally, we asked for coffee, which we were served without consultation with some cookies, which by the way tasted good. We paid this back in full on the bill by paying €6 per cup of coffee with friandises. All in all we had a pleasant afternoon and will not come back here because of the ridiculously high drink prices.

Had a 4 course lunch here via social deal. This was still a bit pricey for a lunch without drinks via social deal. This is fine, as long as the quality is up to par. Brass Kaatje presents itself as a luxury restaurant with exclusive food, but cannot live up to this. The dishes are (very) small in portion and elaborately decorated. However, the taste leaves much to be desired. The soup, the starter (forgot the name) and the cod were a bit bland or not really tasty. The dessert, a Panna cotta, was very tasty but also fit in a hollow molar. After lunch we stopped at the local sandwich shop to quell any remaining hunger. Too bad, for approximately €37.50pp (including drinks) I expect a tasty and satisfying meal. We were very pleased with the service, which was helpful and friendly.

Wonderfully pampered here on Valentine's Day. We had actually made a reservation for dinner, but after a phone call we were also welcome at noon. We had a pleasant and very tasty afternoon. Six surprising courses and the menu was adapted on the spot to our wishes. No meat for me, no shellfish for my husband. No problem. The very friendly and cheerful host served delicious wine and was just as enthusiastic about it as we were. The beach bars are nice and have their own atmosphere, but people if you really want to go out and eat and drink... Come to Brass Kaatje!

Also very important, this restaurant provides an evening out!! That is exactly what the other restaurants in Egmond are missing that wholesale hamburgers and spare ribs!!! Enjoyed it immensely with a group of friends. Allergies and other wishes were taken into account. Plates were beautifully laid out and it all tasted equally delicious. Scoop of ice cream could have been a little bigger 😉

Did a Social Deal on November 15, it was really delicious! Really delicious fine dining. We received a surprise menu of three courses, tip: indicate in advance if you want a vegetarian menu, because we had to wait a little longer. The service was really good, very pleasant guy who shows genuine interest in his guests. A downside: an electric wheelchair cannot enter, the threshold is too high, so we sat on the terrace with heaters, otherwise it was not a problem, because we could sing along to all the songs... That wouldn't have been possible indoors.

Zeer vriendelijke en alerte bediening👍. Hier wordt duidelijk veel aandacht en tijd besteed aan zowel de gasten als ook de gerechten, daar kunnen ze in Alkmaar nog wat van leren 😉 Knusse locatie met huiskamer gevoel. Wij waren aangenaam verrast met een 6 gangen menu en komen graag nog eens terug.

The food was delicious, but the portions were much too small. With the starter (tuna tartare), we had rather the impression that it was an amuse bouche. With the intermediate course (lobster ravioli), I got a single ravioli, which is clearly too little. The main course was okay, but not particularly refined. However, the service was very good, a pity that the food could not meet our expectations.

Gezellig restaurant in het centrum van Egmond. Personeel supervriendelijk en attent.Gekozen voor het 3 gangen menu van de chef. Gerechten allemaal goed op smaak, prima garing voor zowel het vlees als de vis. Erg lekker geten. Wijn prima. Afknapper is de prijs op de rekening voor 1 koffie en 1 cappuccino geserveerd met 2 kleine koekjes voor €12. Dat is echt over de top. Mochten we hier nog een keer gaan eten dan drinken we de koffie bij de buren. Deze plek is zeker een aanrader als je even iets meer wilt dan saté, spareribs of hamburger.
