Delicious dishes and friendly service

Delicious food, really something special and very tasteful. Good, professional and friendly staff, who think along with you. Small downside was that it took quite a while before we got the bill/could ask for it.

Well, what do you think about this? A beautiful place, nice location and nice and friendly staff, but yes, the food. Little for a lot and a lot of hassle for little coherence. It's all fine, but that's all. A mackerel starter feels like an upside-down bowl of salad, decorated with some turrets of potato and beetroot, which do taste very good. The main course is a bit sparse with 3 asparagus, the foam underneath is very tasty and the addition of samphire to the potatoes is tasty, but the potatoes are just barely cooked. The rhubarb dessert is a meticulous mix of a little bit of everything. It looks beautiful, but there is really nothing that reinforces each other. So a lot of sheep, little wool. Overall a nice place, but I won't be returning there anytime soon.

Bistro restaurant of the hotel Merlet. Nice option for hotel guests. Unfortunately the service was quite substandard. It was a struggle to get the attention of the staff, there was no check in between to see if everything was as it should be, and on several occasions no follow-up was given to our questions/wishes. This includes receiving the wrong dish, having to ask several times for the wine list, etc. It can happen, but all together it is just very negligent, especially for the price range. Food was fine. All in all an experience that did not leave a good feeling.

Fantastic Valentine's dinner with a beautiful singing music duo. The store was beautifully decorated for Valentine's Day. What pictures of dishes, with a great taste, with a dessert on your table as a bonus. What a party this was, we look forward to the next event.

Delicious lunch at Grand Csfe Bourgogne! 2 courses consisting of steak tartare and turkey fillet filled with mushrooms and pistachio with a fantastic gravy! Highly recommended!

"Staff shortage" and "no space" while the place was almost empty. No desire to help us, not even if we waited. Terrible attitude and service. Don't waste your time.

Dining with 6 people 3 course menu. Food: Very good products, deliciously prepared to perfection. Service: The various waitresses at the table were very friendly. Unfortunately the service with the drinks wasn't very attentive. Ambience: Very nicely furnished guest room. Unfortunately, a larger event/party was taking place in the hotel at the same time in the evening. Loud music could be heard in the dining room, it would have been nice to have been informed about this in advance or at least to have been excused. Price-performance ratio: Good.

The dishes had a composition that I don't often see at a restaurant. For example, pointed cabbage, Brussels sprouts, poached egg, but I'm glad I ate here because it was all very tasty and certainly an experience to try something different. The service was very correct and friendly.

Wow: best gastronomic experience we had since we have left Belgium. The shrimp croquettes gave an excellent start, but the portobello lasagne just left me breathless, because of it's amazingly delicate patissier-like structure, its devine risotto underneath and the fresh fruits on top. A feast for the eye, the mouth and the heart!

The wait staff was very friendly but not really knowledgeable. The lounge was way too big. You imagined yourself in a large meeting room with a few seats. You looked at two very long dining tables. To create more atmosphere, the space (with the long dining tables) should have been divided by a sliding wall. It would have made it a lot more cozy. After drinks hour we sat down for dinner in Restaurant Hotel Merlet. This was given a higher rating.

During the Christmas holidays I enjoyed the small menu here with a glass of wine in the lounge. Beautiful and attractive surroundings, there is plenty of free parking space outside in the rear parking lot. We will definitely come back here again, but then to have dinner.

We were there to celebrate a birthday and had a wonderful time. The service was very attentive and the staff was knowledgeable and very friendly. The food was delicious and all of our dietary wishes were accommodated. We were even able to visit the wine room and got some interesting insights in wines. All in all it was a perfect evening.

Beautifully located and attractively decorated Grand Cafe. A cup of tea is served with a freshly baked Madeleine, a tasty alternative to the tasteless pre-packaged cookies you get everywhere. I order a '12 hour' which consists of a sandwich with Wagu croquette, a soup (choice of two and a 'salad'). You are not asked about a white or brown bread preference. I choose pumpkin soup and it is tasty. The croquette is served on a white bun. Mwah...a big slice of fresh farmer's bread would be tastier and more 'eyes', but a tasty mustard is served with it. The croquette tastes like any croquette. The Wagu doesn't add anything in terms of taste and it doesn't look freshly made either. The salad disappoints. Some pieces of lettuce, cucumber and tomato with a little dressing. Rabbit food category. Replace that with a scoop of freshly made tuna or Russian salad and it justifies the price of the 12 hour meal much better.

Erg lekkere lunch genoten bij Bourgogne. Service was goed, wel wisselend per individu. Een amuse voorafgaand het drie gangen lunch menu zou een toegevoegde waarde zijn.

Een avondje dineren bij Grand Café Bourgogne te Schoorl. Na een vriendelijk ontvangst zijn wij naar onze gereserveerde tafel begeleid. Daar aangekomen bekroop ons meteen het gevoel waarom wij het aller kleinste, in het midden van de zaak geplaatste, tafeltje kregen van het gehele Grand Café terwijl er nog vele aantrekkelijkere plekken beschikbaar waren. Nadat wij de ober hierop aangesproken hadden mochten wij meteen verhuizen naar een aangenamere plek. Gestart met een kwalitatief goede cappuccino met een heerlijk koekje. Nadat we de vraag of we tafel water wilden positief beantwoorden werd de vraag voorgelegd of we bruisend, plat of kraanwater wilden. Dat de optie kraanwater geboden werd siert de onderneming. Als wijn werd er gekozen voor de Merlot wat als een prima wijn werd ervaren. We kozen voor het 3 gangen diner. Vooraf werden er smakelijke warme vers afgebakken stokbroodjes geserveerd met olie. Als voorgerecht hadden we de steak tartaar en de gyoza. Beiden voortreffelijk op smaak. Als hoofdgerecht hadden we de Zeewolf en de spinazie risotto. Ook beiden waren voortreffelijk. Het enige wat er op aan te merken viel was dat het stukje zeewolf misschien iets groter had mogen zijn. Als bijgerecht hadden we o.a. de friet. Nou hou ik persoonlijk zeer van zoute friet maar dit was echt extreem ZOUT. Mijn nieren zijn het nog aan het verwerken, dat moet echt wat gradaties minder. Als dessert kregen we direct na het hoofdgerecht de gekarameliseerde peer. Het was niet slecht maar ook geen smaak sensatie. De gangen kwamen, naar mijn smaak, te snel achter elkaar. Het zou fijn zijn als gevraagd werd of we toe zijn aan de volgende gang. Al met al heel lekker gegeten in een fijne ambiance met vriendelijk personeel. Heerlijk gegeten. Vooral buiten zit je heerlijk. Snelle service. Ook enorm beleefd personeel.

De nombreux plats forts intéressants avec des associations de goût à découvrir, une excellente maîtrise des cuissons et des sauces. Bien-sûr tout cela accompagné d'un joli cadre et d'un service agréable.

Sehr leckeres Menü zum fairen Preis gegessen. Das Wolfsbarsch Tatar als Vorspeise war wirklich perfekt. Der Rochenflügel als Hauptspeise sehr lecker. Dazu ein super alkoholfreies IPA.

Super 3 Gang Menü. Abgestimmte Auswahl zwischen Fleisch, Fisch und Vegetarisch. Feine, selbst gemachte Speisen mit Niveau. Das Ambiente setzt den aktuellen Trend der Erdfarben um.

Le menu 3 plats nous a permis de découvrir d excellentes saveurs et de nouvelles associations de goût. Les produits sont frais avec des cuissons et sauces maîtrisées.

Heerlijk gegeten, alles is echt heerlijk en van hoog niveau. Super! Minpuntje was de temperatuur in het restaurant, echt even te warm.

Goed gegeten, maar bediening zag niet alles. Niet helemaal de topavond, die we voor ogen hadden, maar dat ligt ook aan ons. Prijs/kwaliteit aan de dure kant.

Wow!!! This is an amazing restaurant, the food level is very high. And we stayed at the hotel and ordered room service, we were shocked by how delicious it was. We were also in the restaurant. Beautiful serving, fresh food, friendly staff. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Compleet verzorgde avond gehad op een schitterende zomeravond op het terras. Heerlijke gerechten in de juiste ambiance. Wij hadden enkele verzoeken maar alles was tot in de puntjes verzorgd! Service van een hoog niveau. Helaas kom je dit zelden tegen. Absolute aanrader.

GEWELDIG. Heerlijk gegeten. Vriendelijke behulpzame service. Na afloop de kunst bekeken wat opgesteld stond. Zo leuk en mooi. Iets waardoor je blij naar huis gast. En dat met een goed gevulde maag.

Moesten erg lang wachten op eenvoudige bestelling (lunch), maar dat werd goed gemaakt door het vriendelijk personeel en heerlijke eten.

Wirklich ein ausgezeichnetes Restaurant mit freundlichem Personal. Hier können Sie einen gelungenen Abend in schönem Ambiente verbringen. Ein Lob an das Personal, das sehr aufmerksam und direkt zu Stelle war, um Bestellungen aufzunehmen.

Zo gezellig Valentinediner. Zeker de moeite waard Op tijd boeken volgend jaar!!!

Fijn restaurant. Goede bediening. Smaakvolle gerechten. Leuke kinderkaart. Bovenkant van wat je normaal zou verwachten bij een grand café

Het eten was heerlijk. En zag er ook mooi uit.

Gezellig geluncht. Broodje kaas, maar dan … met eieren salade en meer. Lekker. Vers. Veel. Eerlijke prijs. Leuke ambiance. Daarna 1 uur wandeling gedaan vanuit hotel. Mooie omgeving.

Hier na aanbeveling voor het eerst geweest..dit Grand Café schijnt het kleinere zusje van 1-Ster-Hotel-Restaurant Merlet te zijn en minder exclusive (duur)😉..we waren benieuwd en het gebodene was verrassend lekker en met goede prijs- kwaliteit verhouding...we genoten van het 3-Gangen menu met Bisque d' Homard, Steak Tartaar, Canard, Enjipaddestoelen met Pasta Riso, Dessert met stoofpeer of ijs en de Duitse Rode Spätburgunder...de porties leken eerst wat krap, maar al met al was het toch voldoende😉..ook werden wij vriendelijk & vaardig bediend...al met al was dit een uitstekende ervaring die om herhaling roept..bedankt & wie weet tot snel!☺️✌️

Matig gegeten. 3 gangen menu's gekozen. Voorgerechten waren goed, maar de boeuf bourguignon was veel te zout. We kregen het niet weg en werden ook niet gevraagd of we een nieuw drankje wouden, welke ik toen wel nodig had. Toetje was prima.

Recht gut! Das Ambiente des Restaurants ist sehr schön. Die Keller*innen dürften etwas professioneller und aufmerksamer sein. Das Essen ist schmackhaft und für den Preis okay. Gestört hat, dass der Hauptgang nur lauwarm war. Die drei Gänge wurden sehr schnell hintereinander serviert. Für ein Restaurant in der Preisklasse erwarte ich allerdings mehr. Daher nur drei wohlgemeinte Sterne.

İch war zum zweiten mal dort essen. Das 3 Gänge Menü ist sehr zu empfehlen. Preis Leistung top!Sehr freundliches Personal.
