Delicious coffee and pastries. Highly recommended for relaxing after a walk on the Bornia & Heidestein estate.

Nice place in a beautiful location. Delicious food here, service very inexperienced, but friendly and did their best. Waiting time way too long, quality of the dishes made up for a lot.

What an extreme disappointment. I have rarely eaten so badly and it was downright frustrating. The terrace was more than half empty and there was literally no one inside, but we still had to wait more than an hour for our food. How that is even possible, someone can explain to me – because that is really absurd. And then the food itself… I had ordered the pumpkin pasta – well, “pasta”. It seemed as if someone had forgotten that food should also have taste. No salt, no pepper, no herbs or seasonings to be found. It was bland, bland and honestly just inedible. And they dare to ask €26 for it?! For a tasteless, uninspired plate of pasta that any home cook would be ashamed of? Really scandalous. The service was fortunately the only thing that was still somewhat doable – we were helped in a friendly and quick manner, that must be said. But that does not save the experience at all if the kitchen performs so dramatically and the waiting times are ridiculous. In short: a waste of your money and your time.

There were two of us. Bread with croquettes and a hamburger. Something went wrong with the hamburger, so it arrived late, meaning my partner was almost finished. I thought it was a shame to serve one dish early when I still had to wait. The hamburger was quite raw inside, but I didn't ask for it because I would have had to eat everything by myself. It's a nice place, and I think the restaurant has potential; it has a nice bar. But if you're alone inside, it's hard to create an atmosphere. The wait staff is excellent. The food was otherwise well-prepared. We were back outside after 45 minutes. It didn't really invite us to stay longer.

Amazing spot in the forest with ample parking space. Very good food in a wide selection. First time I saw a kids menu that is longer than the 'grown up' equivalent. Food prepared with dedication and quality. Fair prices. Good mocktail selection. Staff is friendly but incapable and very slow.

An endless wait for a stripped-down order. After a bike ride, we settled down on the terrace where our car was parked nearby. Before we had to drive home for an hour, we decided to have a quick lunch. We were in the mood for croquettes, but when we saw beautiful plates of bread and salad passing by, we opted for the healthier option: sourdough bread with burrata, avocado spread, and pomegranate seeds, and sourdough bread with smoked salmon, cream cheese, and a poached egg. After finishing our first drinks, we ordered two more while we waited. After 45 minutes of waiting, we still hadn't received our food, nor our second drinks. By then, I wasn't exactly thrilled because I was already hungry when I sat down, so 45 minutes later, even later. When we inquired, it turned out the order had been misplaced. We still hadn't received our second drinks either. Forgotten too? Then it took another 20 minutes, and people who had just sat down received their orders, but there was the food! But... it was the stripped-down version of our order 😡. White bread instead of sourdough, no poached egg, and no pomegranate seeds. Served on small plates. Grrr. I indicated that I wasn't happy with this and didn't intend to pay the full amount. "The manager would sort it out with us." When the food was finished, I went inside myself because I didn't want to wait any longer. The manager didn't show up and let the young wait staff handle it. I thought that was rather cowardly. In the end, it was resolved nicely, because we didn't have to pay for the drinks (all four). They won't be seeing us again.

Na een fietsrit neergestreken op het terras waar onze auto vlakbij stond. Voordat we een uur naar huis moesten rijden, eerst ‘even’ lunchen. We hadden zin in kroketten maar toen we mooie borden met brood en salade langs zagen komen, gingen we voor de gezondere variant: desembrood met burrata,avocadospread en granaatappelpitjes en desembrood met gerookte zalm, roomkaas en gepocheerd ei. Nadat we onze eerste drankjes op hadden, bestelden we al wachtend nog 2 drankjes. Na 3 kwartier wachten hadden we ons eten nog steeds niet en ook onze tweede drankjes niet. Het (jonge) personeel ziet kennelijk ook niet dat wij al heel lang zaten te wachten terwijl andere tafels hun bestelling wel al hadden. Intussen was ik niet heel vrolijk meer want ik had al honger toen ik ging zitten dus 45 minuten later helemaal. Bij navragen bleek de bestelling mis gegaan te zijn. ‘De keuken was de bestelling kwijt’. De tweede drankjes hadden we ook nog steeds niet. Ook zoek geraakt? Vervolgens duurde het nóg 20 minuten, en kregen mensen die er net zaten hun bestelling wel al. Uiteindelijk kwam ons eten … het was echter de uitgeklede versie van onze bestelling 😡. Wit brood ipv desembrood, geen gepocheerd ei en geen granaatappelpitjes. Op kleine bordjes geserveerd. Grrrr. Aangegeven dat ik hier niet blij mee was en niet van plan was het volledige bedrag te betalen. ‘De manager zou het met ons oplossen’. Toen het eten op was, ben ik zelf maar naar binnen gelopen want ik wilde niet nog langer wachten. De manager liet zich niet zien en liet het afhandelen door de jonge mensen in de bediening. Nogal laf vind ik. Uiteindelijk is het wel netjes opgelost want we hoefden de drankjes niet te betalen (alle 4 de drankjes). Ons zien ze hier niet terug.

Nice spot in the woods! Excellent food. The pizza was very good and generously filled. The only thing was that the waitress didn't know a lot of things. Wine of the month, etc.

When you have a shortage of staff and have to train new people, that is very understandable. And sometimes something can go wrong. But then, as a leader, when the weather has calmed down, come and check on the customers to see if they might want to order something. And whether everything had gone well. But no, none of that. Staff are now chatting extensively with each other, undoubtedly about the work. But the fact that there were also customers in the shop who might want something to drink or eat dessert seemed to have completely escaped their attention. After the main course we seemed to have run out of air. I went home from being miserable and had a drink there. Incomprehensible disinterest. While when we came to make a reservation, people seemed so enthusiastic and hospitable. In reality chaotic and uninterested. It's not often that I don't tip. But now I really didn't see any reason for it. Although food was quite nice. Except for undercooked eggplant!

The pizza looked like a frozen pizza. The steak dish was very little. Only fries and meat. No vegetables. And inside the asylum seekers were eating for free.

Bit of the secret of this area. Everyone goes to the neighbors, but this brasserie really has a great chef and delicious dishes. Nice and fresh! Good vegetarian options. We will definitely come back here soon!

Mediocre restaurant, dirty chairs and menu was too dirty to handle. Ordered an omelet of which 1 egg was still raw, ordered bread with croquettes of which the croquettes had been fried too long, making them extremely hard. After commenting, the omelet was replaced after 20 minutes. Management is more concerned with themselves than with their customers. Not recommended!

Great food, not a huge menu but something for everyone. Soup, meat and fish dishes, salad and delicious desserts. Oh, and great beers on tap!

Wij zijn hier op 31 december geweest voor een verrassingsmenu en waren niet echt tevreden. - Je werd niet echt vriendelijk ontvangen. - We waren met zijn vieren, maar er was een tafel voor 2 personen gereserveerd. - Bediening was niet echt ervaren. We kregen een klein voorafje, maar er werd niet bij verteld wat het was. Soep inschenken over de tafel heen, lijkt mij lastig. We hadden geroosterde kalkoen als hoofdgerecht, maar erg weinig vlees. De borden waren ook niet goed opgemaakt. De ene had wel broccoli en de andere niet. Een enorme smaakexplosie op je bord van allerlei sauzen en iets blauwgekleurd, dit was zoetzuur, niet echt lekker. Het dessert klopte ook niet. Er stonden andere dingen op het menukaartje dan wat we kregen. Dit werd ook niet vermeld. - Na afloop werd er niet gevraagd of het had gesmaakt. - Bij het weggaan ook niet even een gedag. Al met al best wel een teleurstelling. Ik had toch wel meer professionaliteit verwacht. Je merkt dat ze het niet echt aankonden. Waarschijnlijk geen goed personeel gevonden.

The food is nothing special, as a starter there is only a choice of soup or salad. Service is not really professional, asking twice and serving the wrong drinks. At the bar, drunk people were laughing and shouting loudly, quite frustrating when you're eating.

Very attractive place and super spontaneous and knowledgeable staff, but we didn't find the chicken and burger particularly tasty, and for that price it was a bit poor, but we are also critical because we often eat out. Too bad because otherwise it's a nice thing.

I RECEIVED FOOD POISONING HERE!!!!!!!! Looked up the brasserie's telephone number on their site. Called; When she asks do you still have a table for tonight, the lady says: I still have 2 rooms! for you. I don't want a room I want to reserve a table. Can you connect me to the brasserie: no, not possible; can make a reservation with her. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were helped by a friendly waiter who did not speak the Dutch language well, so the wrong drink was delivered. Questions are not answered/returned, but they are resolved. Main course Spicy chicken, eaten with sauce. Got stomach cramps and diarrhea while eating. Spent half of the evening at home in "the smallest room". The next day I called reception, and now they were able to transfer me to the manager. He was too busy and would contact us that same day or the next day. Has NEVER happened again. Bad communication there. This was our first visit there and our last.

Outstanding food and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Very nice experience overall.

Fijne sfeer, vriendelijk personeel. Kwaliteit voorgerechten goed. Hoofdgerecht kan beter. Slechts 1 dessert.

Wij hebben daar twee maal gegeten mits wij twee dagen in het hotel waren. De snacks waren ok. Deze hebben wij genuttigd met een drankje. Voor het avondeten hadden wij carpaccio als voorgerecht. Mijn echtgenoot een pasta schotel en ik een steak. De steak was geen steak volgens mijn mening. Had hier extra frieten bij besteld en dit waren geen frieten maar resten van aardappelen waar alle ogen nog inzaten en veel te hard gebakken waren. Dag twee hebben we voor de vis gekozen en dit was goed

Mooi hotel, goed eten , heerlijk terras en zeer vriendelijk personeel. En het ligt in een prachtige omgeving.

Heerlijk om daar te vertoeven na wandel of fiets tocht.

Jaren geleden hier ook al eens geweest en nu per toeval weer neergestreken. Er werd verbouwd in de keuken, maar daar hadden de gerechten niet onder te lijden 😊. De bediening is prettig en er wordt meegedacht over de wijn bij de hoofdmaaltijd. 👍. De prijs/kwaliteit verhouding is goed. De muziek was verrassend en aangenaam gezellig. Over een week is de verbouwing klaar en komt er een nieuwe, groter opgezette kaart. De moeite waard om nog eens terug te komen 😉.

Fijn gemoedelijk hotel met luxe uitstraling en vriendelijk jong personeel. Een échte aanrader!
