The food is always good! The ladies serving are lovely and the atmosphere is cozy. Highly recommended for a pleasant lunch.

We had to be in Maarn for a service, so on this cold, snowy, thaw-like Friday, we went to Driebergen after dropping off the car at the garage, which is also highly recommended. While in Driebergen, we stopped by De Huiskamer for a cup of coffee, but because it was so cozy and the weather so awful, we ended up staying there for lunch. They have a nice, varied lunch menu, and their pastries with coffee are also unique. We definitely recommend going back because the decor is reminiscent of a Huiskamer, which gives it a homely feel.

Nice new breakfast menu. The food was delicious; it was quiet but cozy. Lots of choices and delicious juices too. I'll definitely be back for breakfast.

Walked in to have a Matcha Latte. My mom called so I answered and the call lasted 7 minutes before what I'm assuming is the owner walked right up to me and told me to turn off my "music" because it was annoying. I said that it wasn't music and he said that "he doesn't care" and that I should "get the message." Really disrespectful and ruined my mood and my appetite. Don't go here if you want friendly service.

The service was absolutely terrible. Some people need to learn how to treat their customers. There are several reviews about that one rude male restaurant employee, the one with the glasses, and others as well. I had a run-in with him today. Several people, including myself, have had such a terrible experience at your restaurant that we felt compelled to write a review, because you and your restaurant deserve nothing for the incompetence with which you treat others, and sometimes even your own staff. It's not even worth the trip. And if you want to threaten me for writing a negative review about you and the attitude of your staff, feel free to contact me, because I see you've been threatening others online like cowards. The food is decent, if only the atmosphere and staff were just as good.

Cozy place for meeting and having a good conversation.

Utterly rude and extremely unfriendly customer service! The order wasn't delivered without the garnish, as kindly requested. When we inquired, the owner thought our request was complete nonsense. "It was next to the plate anyway," he said. He grabbed a clean plate, roughly grabbed the bread and toppings with his hands, and slammed them onto the plate. We left, still paying for the coffee. A line crossed! 🤬 We definitely won't be back.

We had a lovely lunch outside in April. The menu offered a variety of options, including vegetarian and vegan options. The gentleman who served us was very friendly.

I was really disappointed with my experience here. I came in planning to have lunch and a couple of drinks while getting some work done, but was told I couldn’t use my laptop—even though the place was empty, this felt unnecessarily rigid. I was ready to spend money and support the business, but left instead. Not very welcoming.

I actually wondered why I, as a resident of Driebergen, had never been here before, so it was time to stop by. First of all, the coffee is delicious, the price is more than worth it (tip: get the flat white). If you want to eat, there are more than enough choices! I had a simple breakfast with a delicious croissant. In the meantime, you would think: why the three stars then? If you open your living room to people, I believe that you should feel at home and welcome (after all, it is indicated everywhere there). I have been there twice and unfortunately I did not have that experience both times, I rather got the feeling that they wanted to get rid of me quickly. Tip to you: do not treat people as customers, but as guests and make everyone feel welcome and occasionally walk by and ask "Is everything to your liking?". A little extra service already makes a lot better, I do have that confidence! Update: Yeah, you know what? You might as well throw your money in the trash, because those prices are of course ridiculous here. A recent comment from Jos confirms that I am not the only one who thinks this way. If you look at the menu, there is also a nice price for a glass of milk, namely 3.75. Or a simple Dutch toasted sandwich for 10 euros, at festivals you even pay less. Breakfast for 10 euros, but then you get a croissant with jam OR butter (20ml), a very small glass of orange juice (freshly squeezed yesterday, taken from the fridge) and of course a coffee. If you have won the lottery, you can go here. If you have not won the lottery, go to the Appie across the street because you can buy much more there for the same quality for 10 euros

Most beautiful place in Driebergen for a coffee or lunch. Nice and spacious interior, good service and a nice atmosphere. Working with a laptop is usually possible except around noon because it can be too busy with guests.

After having paid for a ridiculous square cake for a ridiculously high price, I reported to the waiter that I did not think that was correct. The menu should have at least stated that it was a very small rijksdaalder groot gebskje. The young lady in the service agreed with me and said that something had been said about it many times, but the manager did not give any signal, not even a cup of coffee that would have cost them 30 cents as compensation. Weeks later, the same little thing was still on the menu for the same price without any warning about the size

After a walk from Zeist to Driebergen, the eight of us had dinner at the reading table in the living room. Booked in advance and received a warm welcome from the team. Happy people and tasty lunch. Recommended.

Good coffee, soup, vegan dishes. Raw cake, yummy. Nice service, cozy atmosphere.

Geluncht bij de huiskamer. We werden vlot geholpen en het eten was prima. De uitstraling is prettig we zaten aan de lange tafel met ook andere gasten. Mij kroketten waren prima op smaak maar ik kreeg niet de vraag of ik wit of bruin brood wilde, helaas. Ook mijn tafelgenoten aten prima. Het grote nadeel was we zaten bij de deur naar buiten en er zaten buiten mensen, nu snap ik dat je door de deur moet maar zet er een dranger op nu zaten we in de kou, het was buiten 12 graden Op vraag of de deur dicht mocht kreeg ik de opmerking dat het personeel daar dan lost van had en dat zij daar moesten werken. Oke duidelijk ik ben maar een gast.

Nice atmosphere and delicious food

Often found in the living room for a nice lunch or breakfast. It is cozy and atmospheric both outside on the terrace and inside. Have had the high tea several times and am very pleased with it! An extensive menu with tasty dishes!

Cozy lunch café, with delicious breakfast. Chose the breakfast platter for 2 people, which was a lot of food. Luckily we were able to take the rest with us in a doggy bag.

We had an appointment in the late morning in Driebergen and arrived a bit over an hour early. Since we hadn’t had a proper breakfast, we decided to get a bite to eat and this restaurant was around the corner from where we had parked. It didn’t look very special from the outside so we were delightfully surprised when we entered. The place was pretty full with locals and the decor was lovely and cosy. Service was very welcoming and friendly. The scrambled eggs that we had tasted delicious as did the croissant. Overall a very good experience

Nice place for a cup of coffee and a bit of pastry on the side. Not inexpensive, but prices align with what I am used to these days. Certainly doesn't stop me from going there. Staff is very friendly.

Tasty and fresh food. Deal well with criticism. We once had a soup that was too spicy for us. We didn't eat it either. We did not have to pay this. There is a nice play area for small children.

My table companion ordered the avocado burger and I ordered the Pulled Chicken burger. The avocado burger comes with fries with garden herbs on top, who on earth comes up with that? Just leave the fries alone, garden herbs, paprika powder... we just want real classic fries... I am less fond of my burger, not much Pulled and very little chicken. The BBQ sauce is also very sweet.

Maar eens neergestreken bij “De Huiskamer” in Driebergen. Mijn tafelgenoot neemt de “Avocadoburger” een brioche bol met een avocadoburger, guacamole, tomaten salsa, frites. €13,50.- Ikzelf neem “ De Huiskamer” een brioche bol met “Pulled Chicken”, cowlsla, bbq saus, tomaat, bieslook. €12.50.- Mijn tafelgenoot is redelijk tevreden op de frites na. Blijf gewoon van de originele frites af en ga d’r niet mee rotzooien !! Wie bedenkt er tuinkruiden op je portie frietjes ? Echt niet te eten, dus vanaf blijven en gewoon originele frites serveren, daar wordt iedereen blij van, nu niet Eetkamer.. Ikzelf ben wat minder tevreden over mijn “pulled chicken”. Weinig pulled en héél weinig chicken met een niet te definiëren té overheersende zoete saus, dus weinig BBQ aan … Ik heb in den landen véél betere gegeten. De totaal rekening (zonder alcohol) was prettig. Maar !! Wat een prettige ambiance en leuke uitstraling van deze zaak; De Eetkamer” Ook het personeel is vriendelijk en oplettend, Erg prettig ! De toiletten zijn mooi schoon en alles doet fris aan. We komen terug voor een andere gerecht en geven de “Eetkamer” nog een kans!

Heerlijk gegeten en gedronken! De enige domper was t feit dat wij t koud kregen omdat de deur open moest blijven. Bij navraag werd gezegd dat voor t personeel anders te warm werd.

I come here regularly, so my review is based on multiple visits and no incidents. The food is very tasty, delicious breakfast and lunch options and the (wide choice) cakes are also delicious. Good coffee, also very tasty. Both inside and on the terrace look very cozy, beautifully decorated and a nice, warm appearance. The wait staff (mostly young girls/boys) are very friendly and often quick to take your order. However, the adult men walking around (presumably the owners) are often bad-tempered, sullen and unfriendly. Both against paying customers but also against children and even against their own staff. I have noticed several times now that there is snarling, grumbling and sneering at the staff, all of which takes place behind the counter in the middle of the store. The fact that these men (especially the man wearing glasses) are so open and naked, where everyone can hear, being nasty to the staff or even complaining about customers gives me a very unpleasant feeling and negatively affects the atmosphere. It's a shame because otherwise I think it's a fantastic thing. [SUPPLEMENT] Here is an addition to my review from five days ago. The owner looked me up on social media based on my review and sent me a very unfriendly, unprofessional and intimidating message. In my opinion, he made disparaging, inappropriate and unkind comments, taking everything out of context, because he was not happy with my review. Although this completely fits the image I paint in my review, I find it unacceptable to approach someone in this way. In my opinion, it is very unusual to respond to a review in this way, as this can be done via Google and I find it very inappropriate and unpleasant. I have therefore adjusted the number of stars from two to one star.

Good food and delicious coffee. But… hospitality is hard to find. There is room to change a diaper, but you then have to throw it away in a public trash can across the street. At first I thought this was a joke but alas. With a full diaper you have to walk through a crowded store, cross the road and throw away the diaper. That's hilarious and sad at the same time! Just buy a diaper pail for a few bucks... Furthermore, it increasingly feels like a prison and there are signs everywhere stating what he is not allowed to do in the business. Too bad, but we won't be there anymore.

I had lunch here with my girlfriend. The lunchroom has an accessible, cozy design and atmosphere. You can come here to work flexibly, to lounge and of course to have a delicious lunch. The lunch was of good quality and looked well presented.

Bad. There was no one behind the cash register. Waited more than 3 minutes. Just went to catch the train.

Staff not really attentive or friendly. Cleaning the things is half done and then your food such as cake, etc. is cut with it. The inspection service may come by here...#Rob Geus. How disgusting how they handle things. Get everything on the floor and if any cutlery falls, get to the rest... Atmosphere...aimless. staff is unfriendly and does not welcome you. And runs through the building or whether they want to go home as quickly as possible.

Owner is always so unfriendly, really unbelievable. The coffee is delicious, but after receiving a sneer for the umpteenth time, I think it was nice. Hopefully the friendly boy from Tre Monti will continue his coffee shop.

We ordered a salmon dish, the dressing was almost pure vinegar. When asked if I had enjoyed it, my partner and I both said no. The waitress asked why not and we indicated that the dressing was much too sour, the owner then let the staff taste it and this man did not express his opinion, but I could see from his facial expression that he did not like it either. As compensation we were given two cups of coffee. Well no thank you. We will never come back here again.

The accoustics were a bit chaotic. But that was because there was a celebration in the back. When we arrived no-one payed any attention to us, untill we were complete. Only the a waitress noticed us. We booked in advance, but my daughter (9) was booked seperate and had no luchchoice yet. Only after tea, and soup were served, we pinned a waitress to order her something to eat. The place itself want to have a look of a natural, green oasis. Unfortunately, it is all plastic. Space on te table is too small and the tea glasses where not clean. The lunch itself was ok. But in the end, it is a pricy, roumurous restaurant with cheap entourage, lacking personnell with attention to the customer.

High expectations based on the reviews. Maybe we were unlucky. Nice environment, but way too full. Too many chairs and tables in one room. The six of us were also seated at a four-person table despite having made a reservation. Everything was full, so very noisy. The table was already set with tea glasses of which 4 out of 5 were dirty. Pancakes are ready-heated, too bad. Still nicely covered up. High tea is well prepared, sandwiches are beautifully and luxuriously filled, but you do need good teeth for these sandwiches. Loose teeth, less bite force or dentures won't work. Cutting doesn't make it any easier. Delicious fresh tea, fresh orange juice, some soup and some sweets. Apart from the dry banana bread, very tasty. (Although we did not eat them, there was still a wide range of delicious pies, cakes and cookies on the counter) Mini savory tarts were tasty but the staff did not know which ones were vegetarian and which were not. So our vegetarians didn't eat any of it. Someone from our group wanted to order separately from the menu, although this was indicated in the reservation and was also covered, we had to ask for this ourselves. And in the end we didn't get what was ordered. Although we were well served by the girl at our table, the male waiter seemed a lot less relaxed and friendly. Maybe the hustle and bustle of Saturday and many large groups. We were unable to have a relaxing meal due to the cramped seating, the crowds and the poor reception. But given the many good reviews, maybe try something different on a weekday.

Food was great and the chef was flexible. The customer service is also top notch! Because I am lactose intolerant, I received a new latte when I indicated that I tasted milk in my oat milk latte.

Donderdagochtend na boodschappen doen, even een cappuccino drinken bij de De Huiskamer Van Driebergen. Afgerekend: twee kleine cappuccino decafé, kost maar liefst € 8,60! Zelfs in Amsterdam is het niet zo duur.

Lekkere koffie en gezellige sfeer!

Ik was hier met een vriendin om koffie en thee te drinken. We aten een tosti. Die was lekker. De bediening was zeer vriendelijk.

Gezellig koffie- en theehuis. Soms is de cappuccino helaas veel te heet, afhankelijk van wie hem klaarmaakt. Voor de rest: aanrader.

Heerlijk eten en echt een hele fijne sfeer. Super om op zondag na een wandeling even bij te komen!

Het was echt weer voor een warme apfelstrudel en die stond op de kaart!

Zeker weten het beste lunchcafé van Driebergen. Zowel de inrichting als de kwaliteit en variatie van de gerechten maken dat wij steeds weer terugkomen. De woonkamer is geschikt om te werken, met vrienden af te spreken of met je kind langs te gaan.

Gezellig om daar aan de koffie te gaan

Erg leuk plekje, gezellig. Open keuken. Lekkere gerechten. Wel wat prijzig. Het was moeilijk om wit brood bij een gerecht te krijgen (vezelarm dieet van tafelgenoot) maar er werd uiteindelijk meegedacht en een briochebol geserveerd. Vriendelijk en hartelijk personeel. We kregen een heel welkom gevoel.

Eten was oké maar aan de dure kant als je kijkt naar de verhouding prijs-kwaliteit. Qua sfeer geen plek waar ik voor terug kom, ik krijg er niet het gevoel dat iedereen er welkom is. Ook vragen over het menu werden sceptisch beantwoord. Eten was oké maar niet bijzonder.

Heerlijke koffie en lekkere broodjes. Nadeel is wel dat ze geen geschikte kinderstoel hebben voor kindjes onder de 2. Verder zeker een aanrader.

Het personeel was vriendelijk genoeg en de inrichting is prima, leuk kinderhoekje. Maar ik heb hier de allervieste appeltaart ooit gegeten, met stukjes klokhuis ook nog. Zeker niet huisgenaakt, zoals staat aangegeven, maar een goedkoop fabrieksproduct. Jammer!

€7,15 betalen voor een glas limonade(€4,-) en koffie! Te bizar voor woorden. Reactie van het personeel was; dat zijn horeca prijzen! Wij komen niet meer terug! Jammer, want het is echt een leuke plek met lekkere koffie!

Very friendly, tasty chai, coffee...

We hebben een heerlijke lunch gegeten: Bruin landbrood met roomkaas, avocado, en gekookt ei. Wij gaan hier zeker nog een keertje terugkomen :-)

We kwamen hier bij toeval langs precies op het moment dat we wel wat lustten. Het terras is prettig zitten, maar vanwege de kleine verhuisden we al snel naar binnen. Daar is namelijk een huiskamer gemaakt met speelgoed voor de kleintjes. Helemaal top. Op de kaart flink wat vegetarische opties en het eten smaakte goed. De bediening was vlot en correct. Zeker een bezoekje waard

Leuke tent maar een kopje koffie voor 3.15 met een aanfluiting van koekje en géén melk en suiker, omdat dit een besparing is voor de eigenaar .denk ik? Dat je de koffie goedkoper maakt of er een beter koekje en melk en suiker bij doet, Besparing werken twee kanten op

Goedbezochte plek. Logisch want prima eten en gezellig om te zitten. Ook plezierige bediening. Ondanks dat het 'vol' zat nog een plekje vrij gemaakt door wat te schuiven met tafeltjes. Eten fris en vers. Zeker voldoende. Waar voor je geld!

Prima bak koffie en lekker stuk taart. Jammer dat je van het personeel het gevoel krijgt dat je op moet schieten. Het is druk..... Iets te vaak komen ze langs of je nog iets wilt bestellen. Vragen of alles naar wens is, klinkt al anders. Dat zou het gevoel van gastvrijheid goed doen.
