Brasserie Grace Utrecht in Wijk 06 Binnenstad

My wife really liked the fries, on top of everything else. We had a lovely dinner, worth a visit. The entrees, tuna and tartaar were tasty, the duck and entrecote were cooked perfect. They also know how to serve a tasty limoncello (cocktail), which seems a challenging task elsewhere in Utrecht.

We initially thought he was joking: we were out with a pregnant woman and wanted to use the restroom at that restaurant—with difficulty. He asked if she was going to flush the toilet. In the end, only she was allowed in; we friends weren't. What a hard life!

One of my favorite restaurants in Utrecht! The food is delicious every time (now I am also a big fan of French cuisine, nice wine, cheese, meat fish and sauce, bubbles and oysters, what more could you want). But especially the hosts are a reason to come back and are very friendly, give the right advice and also know how to give the right service for every group. Don't skip the dessert, I'm never really a fan of desserts, but the lemon tartelette is the tastiest there is. Highly recommended!

Went here on the recommendation of another restaurant owner in Utrecht. Upon entering the front part of the restaurant there was a sewer smell with a hint of dishwasher soap smell. Luckily we sat at the very back of the restaurant so we didn't smoke this. The tables are very small, a bit too small to eat properly (which didn't spoil the fun for us). The acoustics in the restaurant are loud. You have to raise your voice a lot to hear each other. The water on the table was ready and is paid water and you cannot get tap water. We always find a thing 🤨 and not so much because of money. But that's besides the point. The staff was friendly and remained so, despite things going wrong or it taking too long before your order was served. We don't find this super annoying either because it didn't take very long on land. The food was delicious but over priced. Final conclusion: we had a very nice evening together in Utrecht and had a delicious meal, but we doubt 🤔 whether we will ever return.

An onion soup for 11 euros. A pointed cabbage for 28.50 euros. Have to order fries too. Has the catering industry gone crazy or something? How can we deprive our dear customers of as much money as possible?

Enjoyed it immensely and had a great evening. Food delicious and tempo good. Hospitality and service top. Host as you don't see it often anymore. Attention to the guest and with a lot of energy.

El interior y la atmósfera se sienten algo básicos y podría necesitar más atención al detalle. Lo mismo ocurre con el servicio y la presentación de los platos, aunque no está mal, carecen de refinamiento. La comida en sí está bien, pero no es particularmente memorable. Dado que una comida aquí puede superar fácilmente los 125 € por persona, la relación precio - calidad se siente un poco mal. Hay varios restaurantes en el centro de la ciudad de Utrecht que ofrecen una experiencia más pulida por el mismo precio o incluso un precio más bajo. Fantastisch! Volg het advies van de Sommelier met de gerechten die geserveerd worden, en je hebt een top avond. Zelfs de scropppino wordt ter plekken gemaakt.

When we arrived at 7:00 PM, we noticed the poor acoustics. All tables occupied, making it very noisy! Fortunately, the (jolly) waiter spoke in a loud voice, so he was clearly audible! The Sauvignon Blanc is delicious, but pricey! Starter was served at 7:30 PM. Esgargots (delicious) and duck terrine (delicious!). The main course took an hour and a half to arrive. Three more minutes, apologies, but there is a group present, making the kitchen very busy!? After another two minutes they came with a dish that was not for us! Finally at 9:00 PM we could start with the main course! The hake and the turbotine good. The entrecote too salty and the fries too hard. This was reported. Apologies, but no evidence of this in the form of a glass of wine or coffee on the house! After coffee we went home disappointed! Conclusion, not worth repeating!

Maybe a bit further out of city center but certainly worth a visit. Really enjoyed the food but especially the service is really great. Went there twice on a Wednesday and will definitely recommend.

Expected more, given the prices and photos. White tablecloths are no longer available, small bistro chairs are not suitable for enjoying the entire evening. The Cote dBoeuf at €99 was no more than a 6je. Service goes up to average level, after that it's over. Definitely had a pleasant evening and enjoyed the atmosphere. But I'm looking further.

Eat here for the 4-course Game menu and the good reviews in DUIC and Gault&Millau. Old-fashioned hospitality. Delicious taste explosions, different choice of good wines. The service really thinks along. I won't reveal the game surprise menu, but the 2nd course with a broth/sauce poured from a teapot smelled and tasted fantastic. If you want an extensive meal with hospitable service, definitely go to Grace! AMAZING!!

Sfeervolle brasserie in een leuk stukje Utrecht. Heerlijk gegeten en de eigenaren hebben veel aandacht voor hun gasten. We kozen het verrassingsmenu en komen zeker een keer terug voor de andere gerechten.

I arrived as a clear tourist, probably being laughed at a bit for my Texan-flavored uncultured vibe (I wore feiyues)…but enchanted with Utrecht but…wow. Just magical. I had the fish aspic-like fish for appetizer and the steak. Both were just incredible. I came to Utrecht because of a bartenders rosy tales of growing up in Utrecht. But it is just a miracle of a city and I think this restaurant is absolutely a piece of the soul of it.

Finest restaurant in Utrecht. Great hosts and super delicious food. Thank you for the wonderful years, unfortunately we are leaving Utrecht, but we will definitely visit again.

Chef's menu was a surprising 4 course menu, delicious dishes, staff is quick and very attuned to each other, always a surprise as to which waiter came to the table. But all fine and friendly and professional, only criticism: the creme brulee dessert was out of tune in terms of taste, simple and flat in taste, I didn't taste any star anise. A bit too simple dessert

We had dinner here based on the good Google Score. Expectations were high, but it certainly wasn't disappointing. Very friendly service and delicious dishes. Unfortunately, the wine list is not very extensive and the Rosso de Montelcino was not in stock. Atmosphere and ambiance in the restaurant are also nice. Still recommended, but judge for yourself!

The atmosphere is nice, and at first glance it looks like a good restaurant. The food is surely the most important part of a restaurant. One of the main dishes on the menu is steak, which is very bad. This restaurant serves very low quality meat. This is actually a shame. As a result, the meat is not tender and full of sinews. The main courses are not completely balanced in terms of side dish and vegetables, but that is a matter of taste. The starters are good. These are not the main courses. You will (still) find classic French cuisine here. fail to find. The quality of ingredients is too poor and French cuisine works with classic, yet refined flavors, which do not emerge here. I hope the restaurant improves the quality of its ingredients and recipes, because there is certainly potential.

After looking at the reviews, we reserved a table here for a Saturday eve. It was an overpriced dinner for a mediocre experience. Food 2/5 Drinks were okay, together with expensive water bottle. The starter was on the sweeter side and tasted more like a dessert. The main courses were filling, but nothing special. Fries were quite cruncy. Chocomousse was presented with alcoholic apricots, something that was neither mentioned in the menu nor conveyed beforehand. Service 4/5 The staff attending us was helping and easy to reach. The waiter did apologize for the unsatisfactory dessert. Nonetheless, our experience at the checkout counter was unamusing. Ambiance 3/5 Table felt small for two people considering everything that was already there. The restaurant was full, which contributed to higher decibels.

What a surprisingly nice and good restaurant! First of all, it was no problem at all to change the reservation last minute from 2 to 4, and then even to 6 people. The welcome of our multilingual group was very warm and the hosts did their utmost to inform everyone in his/her own language. Really very friendly gentlemen. The 4-course menu with matching wines was delicious! The wine choices were surprising and complemented the dishes well. We had a delicious meal and the service certainly contributed to the good atmosphere of the evening.

A refuge from a downpour, turning to warmth of Grace. A timemachine to bustle, to enter a luminescent place. Sweetness of pleasure, a refreshment to finish. Loved, tendered and fulfilled, with one and each dish.

Lekker gegeten, ontspannen en ongedwongen sfeer.

Nous avons profité de la terrasse aux tables un peu trop étroites pour le repas. Les plats étaient excellents et accompagnés de nombreux légumes. Prix raisonnables. Juste une attente trop longue pour être servis, le personnel est débordé.

Mooie zaak met zeer vriendelijke staf. Prijs kwaliteit zat voor mij op het randje. Wij gingen voor het 3-gangen verrassingsmenu: a €47,50. Vooraf de steak tartare. Deze is erg lekker. Als hoofd heekfillet. Was een zo zo gerecht, na een creme brulee. Menu was niet echt verrassend en een beetje standaard. Wijnen zijn goed maar ook stevig in Prijs. Wit Viognier (€7) en rood een Ripasso voor (€9,50 ) per glas. Ga het binnenkort nog eens proberen maar dan van de kaart kiezen aangezien daar echt wel wat spannende zaken op staan.

Upon entering Grace Brasserie, I felt like I had stepped back into the early 1990s with the dated décor (dusty fake flowers in gaudy vases), but soon enough, was completely blasted by the post-Corona, hyperinflation prices of our epoch. Grace's food reaches new levels when it comes to overpriced fare, lacking in generosity, verve and love. It feels as if everything that comes from the kitchen is weighed to the very gram and calculated to reap the greatest profit (a slice of fennel and a few carrots as the vegetable side to your red snapper at almost 30 euros!!). I am baffled as to how the ratings are so good when the food is so basic, formulaic and lacking in character. Unfortunately, I have even lost some faith in Gault and Millau after that disappointment, it just does not live up to its hype. Left hungry and insulted, and most certainly not in a state of grace.

Preis/Leistung stimmt nicht: Fisch kostete 47 Euro ohne jegliche Beilage oder Garnitur! Das entspricht nicht einem Gourmetrestaurant! Daher nur 2 Sterne.

We wilden hier gaan eten met vrienden, en hadden gereserveerd. Wij konden uiteindelijk niet meer komen, en door een misverstand aan onze kant hadden wij nagelaten de reservering te annuleren. Onze fout! Wel jammer dat ik dan na een uur gebeld wordt, en er geschreeuwd wordt dat we de zaak 400 euro gekost hebben. Een tafel kan toch ook na een kwartier aan iemand anders worden gegund? Naar bijsmaakje.

We got here by chance, trying to find a place to hide from the rain. We had an amazing evening start and dinner. We were well received, got great recommendations for food and drinks and had a wonderful time. It was a lucky rain and a wonderful place. Thank you! 🥂

Heerlijk eten & ongekend aardige bediening - aanrader!

Brasserie Grace is an interesting place for a casual/fine dining experience. You don’t have to dress up too much for the place but the experience is higher than a casual restaurant. The chef offers a limited fixed menu and changing weekly specials. We ordered a grilled cod and a chef recommended Bouillabaisse, and an avocado appetizer. The avocado dish was elegant and a nice surprise because I thought it would be a salad. The two fish dishes were tasty but quite repetitive when putting next to each other. Except for the sauce and soup base, the garnishes seemed to use similar ingredients. I recommend to try different proteins to experience different cooking style and flavours. We had a nice ending with the eclair dessert and raspberry ice cream. The eclair itself was too chewy and did not go well with other ingredients.

Service is top! Moet bekennen dat ik altijd voor de steak Tartaar ga. Verder laat ik me altijd verrassen.

Dit is de plek om eens heerlijk de tijd te vergeten en te genieten van al het lekkers voor je neus! De gastheren zijn hier geen mensen die het eten komen brengen, maar komen hier hun passie voor eten met je te delen. Een beter restaurant heb ik nog niet gevonden!

Ontzettend leuke, fijne bediening en er wordt zeer goed rekening gehouden met allergieën (noten, coeliakie). het eten is altijd hoogstaande kwaliteit en erg lekker.

Amazing spot!! Wine is very good. Food is amazing. They have weekly specials alongside the normal cart which are amazing, seasonal and fresh. The staff is amazing and recommend good wine alongside the dishes. I will return!

Heerlijk gegeten bij Brasserie Grace. We hebben gekozen voor de tartaar en de kogelbiefstuk. Erg goed op smaak en heerlijke bijpassende wijn gehad. De sfeer is goed en de gastheren zijn zeer vriendelijk. Ondanks de drukte hadden ze tijd voor een praatje en werd ons gevraagd hoe het eten smaakte. Aanrader! Wij komen absoluut terug.

Nice place for a business lunch with some interesting dishes on offer. Friendly services and even willing to debone your fish if that is holding you back ordering the wonderful tarbotine. Grace zit op een relaxte plek in Utrecht (museumkwartier), net even buiten het centrum. Gastheer Ruben Hoogendijk geeft je een warm welkom, wat maakt dat je je meteen thuisvoelt. De sfeer in de brasserie is heel prettig, ook zeker dankzij de bediening. De gerechten zijn heerlijk, alsmede een prima wijnkeuze. Prijs/Kwaliteit verhouding is dik in orde. Wat mij betreft zit dit restaurant aan de bovenkant van de brasseriemarkt. Gewoon gaan eten, je hebt een perfecte avond.
